소방선은 해상에서 발생한 화재와 같은 사고로 부터 인명과 재산을 보호하기 위하여 제작된 특수선이다. 이러한 소방선의 조작 능력 은 불의에 발생한 해상 사고에 대해 소중한 생명과 재산을 보호하는 대처 능력과 직결된다. 소방선 조작 능력의 향상을 위하여 자주 다양한 훈 련을 해야 하지만 출항에 따른 비용과 수반되는 위험, 해상의 기상과 시각에 따른 제약 등으로 현실 상황에서는 훈련에 제한이 있다. 따라서 적 은 비용으로 제한없이 다양한 훈련을 수행할 수 있는 소방선 훈련 시뮬레이터 시스템을 개발하였다.
A Fire Fighting Ship(FFS) is the special ship to protect life and assets from marine accidents like fire. Abilities to operate FFS is directly related to abilities to protect life and assets from marine accidents.. There are practical constraints to train fire-fighters repeatedly to develop control abilities because of cost of sailing, danger, weather and time. therefore FFS Training Simulator System was developed to provide a broad variety of training without constraints on low cost.
