한국어를 배우고자 하는 학습자가 증가하면서 한국어 교육에 관한 연구도 계속적으로 증가하고 있다. 그 중에서 한국어 교재 연구는 1990년대 후반 학습자가 증가하면서 그 수가 급격하게 증가하기 시작하여 지금까지 꾸준하게 연구가 이루어져오고 있다. 특히 최근에는 학습자가 다양해지면서 한국어 교재 연구 역시 다양한 학습자를 대상으로 변화하고 있는 추세이다. 하지만 이렇게 연구물들이 양적, 질적으로 성장함에도 불구하고 지금까지 이루어진 한국어 교재 연구들이 어떠한 흐름으로 이루어져 오고 있고 어떻게 발전되어 왔는지 그 동향을 분석하고 연구의 학문적인 성숙도에 관해서 논의한 연구는 거의 이루어지지 않았다. 한국어 교재 연구의 동향을 분석하는 것은 앞으로의 교재 연구가 나아가야 할 방향을 제시해 줄 수 있을 것이다. 이에 본 연구는 지금까지 이루어진 한국어 교재 연구의 동향을 시기별, 유형별, 주제별로 분석하고 향후 이루어질 연구의 방향을 제시함으로써 더 나은 방향으로 한국어 교재 연구가 이루어지는 데 도움이 되고자 한다.

As the number of students who are interested in Korean has increased, the study of its education has grown continuously. Beginning in the 1970s, the study of Korean language textbooks and the
research of its textbook has significantly increased since 2000. Then it requires consideration on how this study has been diversified and developed. Through reviewing this research data of textbooks about Korean language, we can look into the flow of present study and suggest the direction of further studies. Therefore this thesis figure out the general trends of Korean language textbook research by analyzing how to study Korean language textbook research and the range of research topics. This analysis of trends related to Korean language textbook research will help to develop Korean language textbook research.
