본 연구는 교육복지투자우선지역 유치원 지원사업을 경험한 유아 어머니가 지원사업에 대하여 어떻게 인식하고 있으며, 지원사업에 대한 요구는 무엇이고, 지원사업이 유아와 어머니에게 어떤 영향을 미쳤는지를 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 참여자는 충청북도 C시에 소재한 교육복지투자우선지역 지원사업 대상 유치원에 재원중인 유아의 어머니 6명 이었으며, 반구조화된 면담방식을 사용하여 개별면담을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 교육복지투자우선지역 지원사업 운영에 대한 어머니의 인식은 활동비를 지원 해주는 것에 대하여 가계에 도움이 될 뿐만 아니라 비용의 부담으로 경험하지 못했던 활동을 유아가 무료로 경험하게 된다는 점에서 긍정적으로 인식하고 있었다. 둘째, 교육복지투자우선 지역 지원사업 운영에서의 어머니의 요구는 지원사업에 대한 적극적인 홍보와 지역사회에 대한 정보를 유치원에서 제공해 주는 것, 지원사업 유치원에 복지담당 전문 인력을 배치하는 것, 보편적인 복지혜택으로서의 무상교육, 무상급식이 있었으며, 지원 프로그램에서는 다양한 표현활동과 야외활동을 통하여 유아 자신의 내면을 표출하는 기회를 제공해 주는 것, 다양한 견학이나 체험활동을 통하여 가정에서 경험시켜 주기 힘든 넓은 세상을 보여주는 것, 건강검진 결과에 따른 건강관리와 깨끗한 먹거리를 제공해주는 것을 요구하였으며, 어머니 지원에서는 자녀를 양육하는데 실질적으로 도움이 되는 부모교육 내용과 한 가지 주제로 이루어지는 체계적인 교육방법을 요구하였다. 셋째, 교육복지투자우선지역 유치원 지원사업은 경제적, 사회적, 발달적 측면에서 유아와 어머니에게 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study was to discover how the mothers of children who experienced the support project for kindergarten in the educational welfare investment preferred areas acknowledge the support project, what the requests are for the support project, and what are the effects of the support project on the children and the mothers. The participants in the study were the 6 mothers of the children who are attending the kindergarten located in the C, Chungchungbuk-do subject to the support project for kindergarten in the educational welfare investment preferred areas. By using a semi-structured interview method, individual interviews were conducted. The results were, first, the mothers were positive about the operation of the support project of educational welfare investment preferred areas. Second, the requests of mothers regarding the operation of the support project of educational welfare investment preferred areas included a proactive promotion about the support project and the kindergartens providing information on the community, dispatching professional welfare resources to the support project kindergartens. Third, the effects of operation of the support project for kindergarten in the educational welfare investment preferred areas on the children and the mothers were positive.
