에 관한 ｢進箚｣를 올렸다. 그는 이 글이 충서의 글이라고 밝히면서, 주로 四書六經과 眞德秀 (1178~1235)의 『大學衍義』를 본떠서 편술하였고, 아울러 程子와 朱子의 학설을 보충하여 改進하였다고 한다. 이 책의 주요 구성은 修己․治人의 유교적 도를 설명하는 大學』과 『中庸』을 「統說」로 삼고, 이어서「修己」,「正家」,「爲政」,「聖賢道統」의 순서로 전개되는데, 그 분량은『栗谷全書』의 약 25%에 해당한다. 이 책을 편찬한 주된 목적이 ‘리더’로서의 제왕을 만들기 위한 것이었기 때문에, 주로 유교적 이상 정치를 실천하는 내용들로 편성되어 있다. 그런데 본고는 이러한 제왕교육서인 성학집요의 ｢수기편｣을 오늘날 화두가 되고 있는 리더십교육의 관점으로 조망할 수도 있을 것으로 보았다. 오늘날의 리더십 교육은 대체로 서구권의 연구 업적을 수용하고 있다고 하여도 과언이 아니다. 리더십을 『聖學輯要』에서 찾는 것은 단순한 古代로의 역행을 의미하는 것은 아니다. 리더는 어느 시대 사회에서나 필요한 존재였다. 인간이 혼자 살수 없는 존재인 이상, 사회조직을 이끄는 리더는 없어서는 안 될 존재임에 틀림없다. 이에 본고는 오늘날의 리더양성을 궁극적인 목표로 삼으면서 성학집요 수기편을 살펴보았다.

Yulgok Leei(1536~1584) recorded in Jincha that Seonghakjipyo is a writing of loyalty to King Seonjo(8th reign year) he wrote when he was forty yeard old. It was edited based on Saseoyukgyeong and 「Daehakyeonoui」by Jin Duk-soo (1178~1235) and a supplementary version of theories developed by Zhu - zi`. Its content is mainly based on 『the Great Learning』and『Doctrine of the Mean』which are principles on moral training and governance of the people, and it is sequentially developed as follows: 「Suki」,「Jeongga」,「Wijung」and「Seonghyondotong」. It occupies 25% of 『Seonghakjipyo』and contains a worry about right practice of political expediency for a king as a leader. Yulgok emphasized disposition as a central term of moral training, which reflects his consistent and right thinking and attitude. Therefore, that's why this study reconsidered Yulgok. Therefore,『Seonghakjipyo』which was originally designed to educate kings can be considered as a leadership education. It emphasizes importance of learning based on moral training and presents the directions of leadership education. This study aims to identify the importance of mind education for leadership education through『Seonghakjipyo』.
