본 연구는 축구 팀의 운영과 선수 지도에 활용할 수 있는 축구지도력의 심리적 펀더멘틀을 탐색하기 위한 목적으로 진행하였다. 축구지도자가 축구팀을 운영하고 축구선수를 지도하는데 있어 나타나는 독특성에 영향을 미치는 심리적 기초 여건을 축구지도력의 심리적 펀더멘틀로 조작적으로 정의하였다. 프로축구팀이나 국가대표 축구팀 감독 경력이 있는 국내 축구전문가를 대상으로 한 심층면접을 통해 팀운영과 선수 지도에 요구되는 요건을 탐색해 자료를 수집하고 수집한 자료를 분석해 지도력의 심리적 펀더멘틀을 창출하는 순서로 진행하였다. 축구지도력의 심리적 펀더멘틀을 주제로 수집한 자료를 분석하고 분석 결과에 대한 전문가회의를 개최해 축구 팀의 운영과 선수 지도에서 요구되는 심리적 펀더멘틀을 구조화하였다. 전문가회의 결과 축구지도력의 심리적 펀더멘틀은 사회적 펀더멘틀, 성격적 펀더멘틀, 인지적 펀더멘틀, 동기적 펀더멘틀로 구조화되었다. 사회적 펀더멘틀은 신뢰나 희생 등 지도자와 팀의 다른 구성원 사이의 소통의 문제에 영향을 미치는 요소로, 성격적 펀더멘틀은 배려나 소신 등 지도자 개인의 독특성을 반영하는 요소로, 인지적 펀더멘틀은 축구 관련 전문지식 관련 요소로, 동기적 펀더멘틀은 훈련이나 경기 상황에서 선수가 최선을 다하도록 유도하는 기술과 관련된 요소로 규정하였으며, 규정한 개념을 논의하였다. 축구지도력의 심리적 펀더멘틀을 탐색한 결과 지도력의 심리적 펀더멘틀은 축구 경기력에 영향을 미치는 심리요인과 관련이 있을 것으로 추정되는데, 이에 대한 후속 연구가 기대된다.

This study was conducted 1) to conceptualize a psychological fundamental of football leadership, 2) to gather the elements/factors of psychological fundamentals in football leadership by in-depth interviews with football specialists , and 3) to create the concept and elements of psychological fundamental in football Leadership. In-depth interviews were conducted to accomplish these purposes. Interview guideline was developed based on the previous researches. In addtion, content analysis , in-depth interviews, and specialists' meeting were conducted on football specialists. As the results, psychological fundamental in football leadership is defined as basic element concerned on coach's leadership. Psychological fundamental in football leadership consists of social fundamental, personality fundamental, motivational fundamental, and cognitive fundamental. Social fundamental is an element influencing communication skills such as trust, sacrifice, and so forth. Personality fundamental is an element reflecting coaches' individual characteristics like consideration and belief. Motivational fundamental is an element related to reinforcing football players to do their best in competition. Cognitive fundamental is an element related to professional football knowledge. As exploring the psychological fundamental of football leadership, it is expected that psychological fundamental of leadership is related to psychological factors of football performance for the future research.
