본 논문은 베베른의 ≪3개의 가곡≫ op. 25, no. 2 작품을 스트라우스(Joseph Straus)의 총체 적 성부진행(Total Voice Leading)을 통해 음향 사이 내재된 모든 성부진행의 가능성들을 조명하 고, 음향 간 성부진행의 관계를 다각적 관점에서 분석한 연구이다. ‘음향 간 성부진행’ 분석을 통 해, 베베른의 가곡 작품에 내재되어 있는 음향 간 총체적 성부진행 구조와 시의 구조, 시에 내재 된 의미들의 의미화 과정을 밝히는 것이 본 논문의 목적이다. 분석 결과, 다른 가사가 등장할 때 선율은 실제로 다른 선율 음정 구조, 다른 선율 방향성, 다른 다이내믹, 다른 텍스쳐 등으로 등장 하지만 다른 시어에 내재된 의미가 유기적으로 연결되는 부분은 음향 간 성부진행의 총체적 가능 성을 통해 연결 구조를 확보하며 음향 간 성부진행에서 ‘의미의 구조화’를 확립하고 있음을 확인 하였다. 본 연구는 무조음악의 음향 진행의 근저에 내재된 총체적 성부진행을 통해 시의 의미적 구조와 음향 간 성부진행이 어떻게 연결되어 ‘의미화’ 될 수 있는지 조명한다.

This paper is an analytical study of Webern’s Three Songs, op. 25, no. 2 through the perspective of the possibilities of voice leading progression between sounds within Joseph Straus’s Total Voice Leading. I focused on the relationship between voice leading progressions between sounds from a multiple perspective. The purpose of this paper is to reveal the overall structure of voice leading progression between sounds inherent in Webern’s lieder, the structure of the poem, and the process of signification of the meanings inherent in the poem through the analysis of ‘total voice leading progression between sounds’. As a result of this study, the parts with the same inherent meaning contained in different poetic words create a connecting structure through the overall possibility of total voice leading progression between sounds. Through this research, it was confirmed that ‘structuring of meaning’ is being established in the total voice leading progression between sounds. This study represents that the total voice progression inherent in the sound progression shows how the semantic structure of poetry and the total voice progression between sounds can be connected as ‘meaning’.
