유독성 와편모조류 Alexandrium tamarense 휴면시스트의 발아율을 여러 환경조건하에서 측정하여 각각의 환경요인과 휴면시스트의 발아율과의 관계를 밝히고자 하였다. 마산만에서 채집한 해저니로부터 휴면시스트를 분리하여 실험실 배양을 통해 온도, 광조건의 유무, 염분 그리고 저니층의 깊이에 따른 발아율을 각각 조사하였다. 온도별 발아율은 15℃에서 가장 높았으며 10℃에서도 높은 발아율이 기록된 반면, 20
