본 연구의 목적은 우리나라 대표적 사상가이며 대학자인 남명의 신명사도에 근거하여 오늘날 유아기 인성교육에 적합한 수업모형을 탐색하는 데 있다. 신명사도에 근거한 본 수업모형은 남명의 실천사상을 통해 개인의 감정 존중과 사회적 가치의 중요성을 강조하며, 올바른 마음가짐으로 자기실천화를 고양시켜 조화로운 인성발달로 연결하는 전인교육의 함의를 제시하고 있다. 이를 바탕으로 우리나라 역사적 인물을 통한 정체성있는 인성교육 연구가 지속적으로 이루어져 유아기 전인발달을 도우는 인성교육의 현장연구로 연결될 것이라 기대한다.

The purpose of the study was to develop an instruction model of early childhood character education by reviewing Nammyung's ‘Sinmyeongsado’. The practical idea from Nammyung's ‘Sinmyeongsado’ and the developmental characteristics of young children were considered in the process of the model development. This model was to provide a basis to apply historical figure and demonstrate respecting feelings with others and emphasize the importance of social values through self-practicing. This is one model of young children's character education for a holistic development of a person. The further research is needed to verify the effect of the model.
