본 연구의 목적은 임업의 6차 산업화 추진실태를 조사하여 임업의 6차 산업화 현황과 유형에 대해 분석하고 향후 임업분야 6차 산업화 정책의 자료로 활용하는데 있다. 임업의 6차 산업화 실태조사를 위해 독림가, 임업후계자, 신지식임업인 522명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 사업체의 경영형태, 6차 산업화 추진 유무, 6차 산업화 유형분류, 6차 산업화 추진기간 등의 주요 설문조사 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 사업체의 경영형태는 개별임가 주도형이 가장 많았고, 임산물의 판매는 직거래를 통한 판매경로를 가장 많이 이용하고 있었다. 임업의 6차 산업화를 추진 중인 응답자는 222명으로 전체의 42.5%이었으며, 1+2차 산업 추진비율이 69.8%로 나타났다. 임업의 6차 산업화 유형을 구분하면, 단기소득임산물 생산, 단기소득임산물 가공, 체험·관광·교육, 산림휴양·치유, 목재생산, 목재가공, 유통·판매, 음식업, 숙박업 중심형의 9개로 구분할 수 있었다. 매출액 기준으로 임업의 6차 산업화 모델을 도출하면 단기소득임산물 생산·체험, 단기소득임산물 생산·가공, 목재생산·가공, 산림휴양·치유 중심형 4가지로 나타났다. 임업분야의 6차 산업화는 단기소득임산물 생산에 가공과 체험·관광·교육이 연계하여 발전되어 가고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study was to propose the policy improvement into relevant issues of Forestry 6th industrialization by analyzing the status and type. Survey was conducted to contribute the actual condition of 6th industrialization with 522 people who composed of forest managers, forest successors, and new knowledge foresters. The result of relevant issues such as business type, business plan, sector and duration with 6th industrialization are as follows. It showed that forest household tends to be dominant portion in the business type. And, the direct distribution channel of forest product is preferred. Those, 222 respondents, are doing to expand their operation in 6th industrialization. It occupies 42.5% respondents out of total. In particular, the ratio of expanding 1st+2nd industry shows 69.8% out of total. In terms of classification of 6th industrialization of forest, it can be categorized as 9 sectors such as timber production, timber process, non-timber forest products production, non-timber forest products process, distribution and sales, forest recreation, green tourism, restaurant, and accommodation. When the sixth industrialization model of forestry is derived based on sales, it is revealed as four models such as Non-timber forest products production & green tourism, Non-timber forest products production & process, Timber production & process and Forest recreation & theraphy. These results imply that non-timber forest products production sector developed with by product process sector and green tourism sector in 6th industrialization of forest.
