루터의 만인사제설은 일반 시민도 사제가 된다는 믿음을 성경을 통하여 확인 시켜 주었다. 김흥호는 목사들이 가졌던 세속적 권리를 포기했다. 김흥호는 다석을 만나 후에 35세에 시간 제단 즉 가온찍기라는 근본 체험을 한 후에 한 끼만을 먹는 약속을 하나님에게 했으며 이런 결심은 자아가 매 순간 죽는 고난이며 십자가의 길임을 보여주셨다. 루터는 교회의 권력을 시민에게 양도하는 혁명을 일으켰고 내면의 신앙을 국가가 침범하지 않으면 저항하지 않는다는 신앙을 보여주었다. 루터는 신앙공동체를 이루어 혁명을 이룬 존 칼뱅과는 다르게 내면의 신앙을 지키며 내면에 계신 천국을 보여 주었다. 루터와 김흥호는 믿음으로 구원을 얻는다는 공통된 신앙을 가졌으나 김흥호는 실천하는 삶을 살았다. 권력을 남용하거 나 부패한 국가에 김흥호가 저항하지 않은 것은 탐욕이 가장 큰 죄라고 그는 보았기 때문이며 그래서 세상의 법으로 인간을 통제하도록 한 것이며 그것이 루터의 입장이다. 김흥호가 한 끼를 실천한 신앙은 말과 행위를 일치한 다석의 신앙을 실천한 제자라는 증거이다. 김흥호는 서양의 기독교를 한국의 문화와 역사 속에 내재화하여 하나님의 말씀을 동서양의 고전에서 찾고 실천하여 동양화한 기독교를 실현했다. 그는 가톨릭의 부패에 저항한 루터의 개신교 정신으로 그리스도의 사 랑과 평화를 실천하기 위하여 타종교를 수용하고 마음속에 있는 천국에서 신앙의 자유를 느끼면서 한국과 동양의 전통을 수용한 참 기독교인이다.

The paper is to examine Heung-Ho Kim’s belief and faith in Korea from the Protestantism approach of Martin Luther’s Reformation. Luther maintained that all Christians are priests and all men have direct access to God through the mediation of Jesus Christ. Luther deprived a pope of Vicar of Christ. Heung-Ho Kim thought that human desire is the root of sin. He inherited Korean and christian traditions from Young-Mo Ryu. He ate one meal a day to restrain his desire from original sin, from which humankind commits sin even though he does goodness. He abandoned all his rights as minister of the church. He did not protest against even the unjust power of government if it did not hurt his inner and spiritual faith and belief, which is consistent with Martin Luther’s Reformation spirit. Heung-Ho Kim that followed Young-Mo Ryu’s belief and faith should not be considered as a religious pluralist. He is a true christian who practiced sanctification and taught his followers for his Yeongkyung class for 45 years. He sought and found Bible truths in eastern and western philosophy and religions and he accepted other religions to seek Christ’s peace and love.
