남고 이지용은 남명의 유향이 스민 산청군 단성에서 태어나 남명에 대한 존모의 뜻을 품고 살았던 인물이다. 그는 학문적인 면에 있어서는 남명학의 영향 아래 있었지만 문학에 있어서는 남명학의 범주에 속하면서도 자신의 성정을 표현하 는데 있어서는 뛰어난 묘사와 정제된 문풍으로 지역을 대표하는 인물이 되었다.
그의 시는 인위적인 수사와 彫琢에서 나온 것이 아니라 자연스러운 성정의 발 로이며 天稟과 자질에 의한 것이었다. 그리고 삶에 대한 깊은 관조와 성찰에 의 해 발현된 언어들은 아무런 격의 없이 사람에게 스며들 듯 감동과 찬탄이 나오게 한다.
｢관등행｣은 이 지역에서는 보기 드문 악부시 형태의 시로 당시의 풍속과 시대 상을 읽을 수 있는 문학사적 의의를 지닌 작품으로 민속학적인 측면에서도 중요 한 자료가 될 만한 작품이다.

Namgo Lee Ji-yong was born in Danseong, Sanchong County, where Nammyung was born, and lived with his mother’s will toward Nam. Although he was under the influence of Nammyung-hak in academic terms, he became a representative figure of the region in literature with his excellent description and refined literary style in expressing his own character.
His poems were not derived from artificial rhetoric and 彫琢, but from natural genitality and qualities. And the languages expressed by the deep reverence and reflection of life give rise to emotion and admiration, as if to permeate a person without any discipline. Guangdeung is a poem in the form of Akbushi, which is rare in this area. It is a work of literary significance that can read the customs and times of the time. It can be an important material in folklore.
