본 논문은 漢字構形學과 漢字字體學을 이론의 근거로 삼고, 소전의 서사원소 체계에 대한 분석을 바탕으로 하여 서사원소가 소전 자체의 특징을 구현하는 방식에 대하여 묘사하였다. 소전의 자체는 고문자형체 발전의 내부적인 발전 방향에 순응하여 “整齊勻稱, 輪廓偏長, 圓轉 下垂”의 특징을 드러낸다. 9,451자소전의 자형에서 서사원소로 가장 많이 사용된 弧線과 橫線 그리고 豎線의 서사표현을 선의 형태와 선의 조합방법 등의 내용에 중점을 두고 묘사하였다. 이를 통해 소전의 주요선이 자체의 특징을 나타내기 위해 운용한 서사방법들이 상당히 성숙한 체계를 갖추고 있음을 논하였다.

Based on the Configuration theory of Chinese characters and Morphology of Chinese characters, this paper describes the way in which the transcription elements embody the letter form features of Xiaozhuan based on the analysis of the transcription element system of Xiaozhuan. By adapting to the internal direction of development of the ancient forms of the Chinese characters, the letter form of Xiaozhuan has the following characteristics: ”The letter form is neatly arranged, straightened and balanced, the external outline of the letter form is long lengthwise, and the lines that make up the letter form are rounded and stretched long downwards.” In the letter forms of 9,451 Xiaozhuan, the transcription expressions of Curved Line, Horizontal Line, and Vertical Line that are most commonly used as the transcription elements were described with emphasis on the contents of the form and the combination method of the Line. This paper discussed that the transcription methods used by the main lines of Xiaozhuan in order to represent the characteristics of the letter forms have a considerably mature system.
