오행이 통변의 체(體)라고 하면 십성은 통변의 용(用)이 된다. 木火가 생동 감과 역동적으로 발산하려는 기운이라면, 상대적으로 金水는 수축하고 조용하게 수렴하는 기운이다. 土는 중앙에서 호흡하며 변화를 조율하는 기운이다. 오행도 음양에 따라 강유(剛柔)를 달리한다. 십성은 일간을 기준으로 하여 가 족관계는 물론 대인관계, 사회적 환경, 직업, 건강 등을 보다 복합적이고 세심하게 관찰하는 것이다. 사주를 간명할 때는 체용의 관계를 적절히 활용해야 분위기나 느낌, 행동양식이 다르기 때문에 십성 부분만 복합적으로 간명한다고 해서 별 문제가 없다고 해서는 안 된다. 같은 오행이라도 음양 관계가 다르면 성격이나, 대인관계, 심리, 일처리 방식이 전혀 상이할 수 있기 때문이 다. 이러한 논의를 대상으로 한 편의 논문이 나오기는 하였으나 정관과 편관 만을 논한 것으로 이론 체계와 구조화의 아쉬움도 많았다. 이에 필자는 甲木 의 오행적 특성이 다른 천간을 만남으로 여러 양상으로 변화되는 것을 논하였으며, 甲木과 만나는 십성이 다른 십성과의 상관관계에서 어떠한 영향을 미치는가도 오행적인 특성을 접목하여 기술하였다. 본 논문은 甲木과 대응하는 천간 10개의 오행적 특성과 십성의 상관관계를 이론 체계를 구축하고, 구조화하는 본격적인 논의의 출발점이 되었다는 데에 의의가 있다하겠다. 다만 월령과 지지의 합‧충‧형‧파‧해 등을 병행하지 못한 점은 논문의 한계가 있음을 밝혀 둔다. 이 논문이 같은 십성이라도 관련되는 오행의 특성에 따라 성격, 일처리 방식, 심리적 양상, 사안에 따른 대응방법 등 간명하는 새로운 관점으로 전환 되는 계기가 되기를 희망한다.

If Ohaeng is referred to body of Tongbyeon(通變) Sipseong is the use of Tongbyeon. If Mok(木) and Hwa(火) are the energy radiating with sense of livelihood and dynamics, in relative terms, Geum(金) and Su(水) are the energy for contraction and quiet collection. To(土) is the energy that breathes in the center to adjust the changes. Ohaeng has difference of rigidity and flexibility depending on ying and yang. Sipseong has its basis in ilgan to discuss the relativity in the same type with co-existence and conflict of ying-yang Ohaeng that it would be the tool to observe in more integrated and refined terms for family relations, inter-personal relations, social environment, occupation, health and the like. When the saju is ganmyeong, the relationship of bodily use has to be facilitated appropriately to have different atmosphere, feeling and behavior style that it shall not consider that there is no problem since only the Sipseong part is ganmyeong. Even if it is the same Ohaeng the different ying and yang relationship may have completely different personality, inter-personal relations, psychology and work processing method. With such discussion as the subject, a thesis was written, but it discussed only the inertia of Jungguan(정관) and Pheonguan(편관) with respect to the relativity with other Sipseong, it was not refined and the theory was not systematized. Therefore, this writer discusses the change into several tendencies with the meeting of different Cheongan for Ohaeng characteristics of Gapmok, and it describes the Sipseong to meet Gapmok with different Sipseong for the correlations to have certain influence by linking with the Ohaeng characteristics. This thesis has its implication to structure the theoretical system for the correlations between Sipseong and Ohaeng characteristics for 10 Cheongans responding to Gapmok and it has become the starting point of full-scale discussion to structuring. However, it must be stressed that there is a limitation of the thesis in the point that it could not simultaneously carried out the Hap‧ Chung‧Hyeong‧Pa‧Hae(合沖刑破害) and others of Wolryong and Jiji(地支). It is hoped that this thesis is a turning point to shift the new point of view, even for the same Sipseong, personality, work processing method, psychological tendency, method of response following each agenda and others depending on the characteristics of relevant Ohaeng.
