본 연구는 경기도 K 지역 중학생의 컴퓨터 및 인터넷 활용에 대한 교육적 효과를 검증해 보고자 실증 연구하였다. 중학생들의 인터넷 활용으로 인한 교육적 효과에 대한 방향과 실태를 살펴봄으로서 인터넷의 활용 방향에 대한 대안과 제안을 제시하려는 것 이다. 연구방법은 중학생을 대상으로 설문지 조사를 통하여 자료를 수집하였고 이를 통계분 석하였다. 그 결과 중학생들은 일반적으로 인터넷을 교육목적으로 활용하는 내용은 학업과 과제를 수행하기위한 자료 탐색으로 대부분 활용하였고 그러한 연유로 인터넷은 중학생들에게 매우 유용한 교육 도구로 활용되고 있었다. 그러나 중학생들에게 인터넷 활용에서 교육적 효과를 나타내기 위해서는 학력향상을 가져올 수 있어야 한다고 느끼고 있었고 인터넷은 이와 같은 학습영역인 사고력 개발, 문제 해결능력, 자기통제능력에는 한계가 있음을 나타내고 있었다.

The main purpose of this paper is to propose the direction to middle school student in order to improve their ability in utilizing the information from the computer and research on the actual condition is based on the Question and Answer toward the middle school students in the Bondang Area. In terms of education purpose of using computer, students usually surf the web to find the information to accomplish their study and assignment. As to educational effect, we can not deny that the internet is utilized as a tool to get useful information but it is still skeptic if we can expect the other effect such as improvement of scholastic performance, development of thinking power, increased ability to face and solve problem and increase self-control ability.
