In this study, an effervescent atomizer capable of mixing and spraying vegetable oil and kerosene at the same time was proposed to examine the usefulness of vegetable oil and kerosene in terms of recycling of renewable energy and waste resources. The effect of nozzle exit diameter variation on the atomization characteristics such as spray angle, droplet size distribution, cumulative volume distribution, and SMD was investigated using LDPA. The results of this study showed that the spray angles decreased with increasing ALR at the same nozzle exit diameter and increased with increasing nozzle exit diameter under the same ALR condition. SMD was decreased with increasing ALR at all nozzle exit diameters, and SMD was decreased with decreasing nozzle exit diameter even under the same ALR conditions. Also, the droplet was more finely atomized when the nozzle exit diameter is reduced under the same ALR conditions and when the ALR is increased at the same nozzle exit diameter, but the uniformity of the droplets was lowered because the droplet with a larger diameter existed.
In order to apply rotary atomizer to agricultural spraying system, the motor direct coupled rotary atomizer was proposed. The effect of operating conditions such as atomizing air flow rate, working fluid flow rate, and rotation speed of spinning cup on the atomization performance was investigated for the proposed direct coupled rotary atomizer. The motor speed was controlled in the range of 6,000 to 12,000 rpm using an alternating current transformer, and the atomizing air was supplied by the compressor. In this study, LDPA was used to analyze the spray characteristics of the rotary atomizer. The representative particle diameters of D10, SMD, MMD, D90, and DMax tended to decrease as the atomizing air flow rate and the motor speed increased, but increased as the working fluid flow rate increased. Also, SMD was found to be influenced by order of atomizing air flow rate> motor speed> working fluid flow rate, and DMax was influenced by order of operating fluid supply> motor speed> atomizing air flow rate.
The fuel used in this study, DMM is an oxygen additive containing 42.5% oxygen by weight and dissolved in diesel fuel, also known as methyl alcohol or Dimethoxymethane (CH3-O-CH2-O-CH3). DMM, which is a colorless liquid, shows chemical characteristics of gas-liquid and is also used as a diesel fuel component. In this study, five mixtures were added to the common diesel fuel at DMM addition rates of 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10 and 12.5% by volume. A single cylinder, four strokes, DI diesel engine was used as the test engine. Experimental data were also collected at 24 engine speed-load conditions operating in steady state. The purpose of this experiment was to study the effect of the addition ratio of oxidized fuel mixed in diesel fuel on engine power and exhaust performance. When compared with the common diesel fuel, the exhaust of Smoke was substantially reduced in all DMM mixing ratios. These results indicate that DMM can be an effective blend of diesel fuel and is an environmentally friendly alternative fuel. This study also shows that smoke and NOx emissions can be reduced at the same time through the application of oxygen fuel and EGR.
The spray characteristics of two working fluids operating with a bi-fuel injector were investigated. A bi-fuel injector simultaneously sprays two working fluids, both of which possess different properties. An effervescent atomizer containing two separated aerator tubes was employed as the bi-fuel injector. Vegetable oil and kerosene were the working fluids. The mixing ratio and ALR were the experimental parameters. The mixing ratio is the mass fraction of vegetable oil in the total amount of working fluids. The ALR represents the ratio of the atomizing gas to the working fluid mass flow ratio. In order to examine spray characteristics, the spray angle, droplet size distribution, cumulative volume fraction, Sauter Mean Diameter and span factor were measured using a high resolution video camera and a Laser Diffraction Particle Analyzer. From the experimental results, spray angle is decreased with as the ratio of kerosene to vegetable oil in working fluid is increased. Regardless of ALR, SMD was the smallest when the only working fluid was kerosene and uniformity was the most stable when the only working fluid was vegetable oil.
본 연구는 활착실 내의 인공광원으로 사용되는 LED 모듈의 광질 및 점멸주기가 오이접목묘의 활착 및 생장 특성에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 수행되었다. 이를 위해서 LED 모듈의 광질을 4수준(청색광, 적색광, 청색광/적색광 혼합, 백색광)으로 설정하였다. 또한 점멸주기를 4수준(5s/5s, 7s/3s, 9s/1s, control)으로 설정하였다. 대조구의 명기와 암기는 12h 간격으로 반복되었다. 활착실 내의 광합성유효광양자속, 기온 및 습도를 각각 100μmol·m-2·s-1, 25oC, 90%로 조절하였다. 오이접목묘의 활착에 미치는 광질의 효과는 5s/5s의 점멸주기를 지닌 청색광 처리구를 제외하면 유의차가 나타나지 않았다. 더구나, 점멸주기와 무관하게 적색LED, 청색/적색 혼합 LED, 백색 LED 처리구에서의 활착율에 유의차가 없었다. 이러한 결과는 접목묘의 활착에 미치는 광질 또는 점멸주기의 영향이 없음을 의미하는 것이다. 오이접목묘의 엽장, 엽면적, 생체중에 미치는 광질과 점멸주기의 영향은 청색 또는 적색LED의 9s/1s 주기에서 유의차가 인정될 만큼 높게 나타났다. 백색LED하에서 활착된 오이접목묘의 생장에 미치는 점멸주기의 영향은 유의차가 없었다. 따라서 백색LED 모듈의 지속적인 수요 증가와 제조단가 등 을 고려할 때 활착용 조명으로 백색LED의 활용이 경제적으로 유리할 것이다.
본 연구는 대목과 접수의 결합 단계에서 나타나는 스트레스를 오이접목묘의 엽록소형광반응, 엽록소함량, 활착 및 생장 특성 측면에서 분석하고자 수행되었다. 이를 위해서 활착실 내의 광합성유효광양자속은 25, 50, 100, 150μmol·m-2·s-1의 4수준으로 설정되었고, 기온, 상대습도 및 LED 램프의 광주기는 각각 25oC, 90%, 16h·d-1이었다. 본 연구에서 얻어진 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 대목의 최대양자수율은 0.84-0.85로서 광량에 따른 분명한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 한편, 접수의 최대양자수율은 접목 후 2일째에 0.81-0.82로 낮게 나타났으나, 3일째부터 광량이 높을수록 접수의 최대양자수율이 증가하였다. 활착 후 4일째에 측정된 접수의 엽록소함량은 광량이 증가할수록 높게 나타났다. 오이접목묘의 활착율은 광량이 100μmol·m-2·s-1 이하일 때 90-95% 정도로 높게 나타났으나, 150μmol·m-2·s-1의 처리구에서는 80% 정도로 저하되었다. 광주기에 따라 다르나, 오이접목묘의 활착에 적합한 한계 광량은 플러그 트레이 표면에 조사된 광량을 기준으로 100μmol·m-2·s-1 정도이다. 본 연구에서 처리된 광강도 하에서 활착된 오이접목묘의 발근에 최소 2일이 소요되었고, 이 기간에 접수의 최대양자수율은 최저치로 나타났다. 활착 단계에서 조사되는 광량에 따라 대목과 접수의 변이형광과 최대양자수율이 다르게 나타났다. 그러므로 접목묘의 활착 단계에서 나타나는 스트레스를 줄이면서 대목의 발근을 촉진하고, 접수의 최대 양자수율이 급격하게 저하되는 것을 방지하려면 광 및 습도 등의 물리적 환경이 정확하게 제어되어야 한다. 향후 접목묘의 활착 단계에서 대목의 발근, 통도조직의 결합 상태, 수분의 이동에 따른 엽록소함량 변화를 정량적으로 구명할 필요가 있다.
농업현장에서는 각종 작물을 재배할 때, 작물 성장을 빠르고 효과적으로 하기 위하여 일정한 크기로 성장한 묘를 밭으로 옮겨 심게 되는데, 이러한 묘 정식작업을 수행할 때 채소 정식기가 사용된다. 본 채소 정식기는 인력에 의존하고 있는 채소 정식작업의 기계화를 촉진하기 위하여 2조식의 전자동 육묘 트레이 공급 및 취출된 묘를 식부호퍼에 이송할 수 있도록 개발하였다. 또한 두 가지 취출방식에 따른 묘 결주율을 비교하여 판단하였다. 핑거타입 묘 취출 시험결과 256주 묘에서 묘를 뽑아내지 못하는 경 우가 17주, 상토가 부서지는 경우가 15주 등 결주율이 13.7%로 나타났으며, 포크타입 묘 취출 시험결과 200주 묘에서 묘는 100% 뽑아내지만 이송 중 낙하되는 경우가 6개 등 결주율이 4%로 나타났다. 따라 서 전자동 2조식 정식의 묘 취출장치로서 포크타입이 적당한 것으로 판단되었다.
논에서 이앙시기에 따른 화본과와 사초과 잡초의 발생 양상을 확인하고 벼에 대한 피해 정도를 알아 보기 위해서 벼 이앙기를 4월 30일부터 6월 19일까지 10일 간격으로 달리하여 이앙 한 후 5월 20일부 터 잡초발생과 벼의 생육을 확인하였다. 잡초들의 발생본수는 화본과와 사초과 잡초 모두 1차와 2차 이 앙시기에 이앙한 시험구에서 발생본수가 많았으며, 크게 1, 2차 이앙구와 3, 4, 5, 6차 이앙시기 두 개 의 그룹으로 나누어지는 결과를 보였다. 개체 당 건물중이 비교적 큰 피는 7월까지는 조기 이앙한 경우 건물중이 큰 값을 보였으나 8월 이후에는 만기 이앙한 시험구에서 건물중이 더 큰 값을 보였다. 반면 사초과 잡초는 지속적으로 빨리 이앙한 경우가 늦게 이앙한 경우보다 건물중이 높은 값을 보였다. 논의 써레질 시기가 빨라짐에 따라 조기에 잡초가 발생하고 높은 잡초생장률을 보이며 잡초의 경합력이 커져 벼의 생육과 수량이 줄어들었다. 잡초생장율을 기준으로 볼 때 화본과는 사초과 잡초에 비해 출수기 이 후에 미치는 영향이 큰 것으로 확인되었다.
An experimental study was conducted to investigate the atomization characteristics of spray from the effervescent atomizer, which has separated two aerator tubes. The atomization characteristics were examined through the influence of ALR and the changes of atomizer geometry such as nozzle orifice diameter, diffusion angle, mixing chamber volume. PDPA(Phase Doppler Particle Analyzer) was used to evaluate the atomization characteristics. During the experiments, the mass flow rate of liquid was kept constant at 2.8g/s and the mass flow rate of atomizing air was changed from 0.2 to 0.6g/s. Experimental results showed that SMD was not a linear function of ALR. While SMD is very sensitive to the changes of ALR, the changes of atomizer geometry had little effect on droplet mean diameter. As the effervescent atomizer with separated two aerator tubes is insensitive to the changes of atomizer geometry, it is expected that the effervescent atomizer with separated two aerator tubes is capable of requirements of many applications, without the drawbacks of atomization characteristics.
PURPOSES: The objective of this study is to find Percentile Speed( ) for Appraisal of Road Section with Recurring Congestion. METHODS : Percentile Speed( ) is determined by correlation analysis of CSI that proposed existing literature. and CSI(Consistency Service Index) is a index that subtract service fail frequency from 100 points, and service fail is defined as traffic situation is driving less than 80kph speed. In this study, We analyzed the highest correlation percentile speed associated with CSI. This speed is chosen as a delay decision speed. In order to verifying reliability, it performed a comparison with the previous method. RESULTS : As a result, 30 percentile speed( ) was decided as index speed for judgement of recurring congestion section, and through comparison with existing methods, we demonstrated that 30 percentile speed can be useful for judgement of recurring congestion section. CONCLUSIONS: This method to Determine recurring congestion section using the percentile speed( ) was proposed for the first time in this paper. This method can be applicated more quickly and easily than existing method for determining of recurring delay section .
PURPOSES : In order to do an improving countermeasures for congestion on the highway with a limited budget, it is very important to select a habitual congestion section effectively. This study is develop CSI(Consitency Service Index) which contained the service for drivers on the highway to select a habitual congestion section. METHODS : By applying the concept of service for the users paying a fee, proposed CSI(Consistency Service Index) to determine habitual delay. CSI is mean that users using the highway road must be provided an environment which can driving more than 80kph, anytime, anywhere. RESULTS : The result applying developed method in this study included most of congestion sections selected by conventional method. but, in some section of existing non-congestion section were included by CSI. The annual average speed and CSI correlation analysis result was high correlation. This result proved that CSI was reflecting road traffic condition well. CONCLUSIONS : It was verified practicality from the delay section of gyeonggi-do area highway. we can judge whether or not to be a habitual congestion in the specific highway and do the traffic improving countermeasures accordingly.
목적: 본 연구에서는 양극산화방법을 이용하여 착색된 티타늄 안경테의 산화막 두께에 따른 색상을 광 반사 스펙트럼을 통해서 규명하고자 한다. 방법: 양극산화 방법 제조 장치를 자체 제작하여 사용하였다. 연구에 사용한 티타늄 안경테원재료 조성은 EDS로 측정하였고, 구조분석은 XRD를 사용하여 X선 회절선으로부터 구하였다. 광 반사 측정은 UV-VIS-NIR spectrophotometer에 부착된 적분구를 사용했다. 결과 및 고찰: 조성 분석한 결과는 티타늄(Ti)이 97.09%와 탄소(C)2.91%로 합성된 합금으로 해석되었고, 구조는 Hexagonal이었다. 티타늄 안경테 재료에 인가 시간을 조정하여 산화막(TiO2) 두께를 변화시킴으로서 다양한 색상을 얻을 수 있었다. 광 반사 스펙트럼을 측정해 보면 양극산화 방법으로 착색한 티타늄 안경테는 양극산화 초기단계에서는 청색영역의 파장에서 하나의 넓은(broad)피크를 갖는 광 반사 스펙트럼이 관측되었고, 양극산화 시간이 진행되어 두께가 두꺼워 질수록 붉은색 영역에서 광 반사가 크게 일어나고, 피크도 분리되는 것을 알 수 있다. 결론: 티타늄 안경테의 색상은 양극산화에 의해 형성된 산화막의 굴절률과 두께에 의존한 광의 간섭효과에 의해서 변화는 것을 알 수 있다.
To conserve the population of a hesperiid butterfly, Leptalina unicolor, inhabiting the protected areas of Jaeyaksan, we provide ecological information on their behavior and propose habitat conservation measures, such as the creation of alternative habitats based on comprehensive information. The behavioral study used a method of re-capture after releasing the butterfly with enamel marks on the wings. Adult behaviors were shown in four patterns: flying, settling on a plant, nectar absorption, and water absorption. Both males and females had the highest proportion of flight movement overall; however, males had a slightly higher proportion of flight movement. As for duration, females spent more time settling on plants to select spawning sites, and males seemed to take a longer time for water absorption activities, to absorb minerals needed to form the spermatophore. The average travel distance of butterflies was 27.5 m for females and 46.7 m for males, with daily activity ranges from 11.2 m to 43.8 m, and 21.4 to 57.6 m, respectively. The most important condition to preserve the habitat of Leptalina unicolor is to maintain the community of Miscanthus sinensis, a food plant. Additionally, because this butterfly has a high rate of water absorption activities, wetlands should be maintained.
The changes on community structures of benthic macroinvertebrates, relevance to the environment and interrelationship between benthos were studied over two years in stream with large environmental disturbance, which caused by localized heavy rain during Typhoon Chaba in October 2016. As a result, the number of species and individuals were increased after localized heavy rain, especially numbers of individuals of Ephemeroptera and Plecoptera were greatly increased. On the contrary, those of Semisulcospira libertina and Semisulcospira forticosta of Mesogastropoda were greatly decreased. Dominant species was Baetis fuscatus of Ephemeroptera, numbers of species and individuals of Ephemeroptera, Plecoptera and Trichoptera(EPT group) were dramatically increased from 26 species, 110 individuals to 32 species, 365 individuals respectively. This suggests that the change of river bed and flow velocity due to heavy rain provided a suitable environment for the EPT group that preferred the rift of a stream. In the functional feeding group, only gathering collectors and filtering collectors were identified in autumn of 2017 because some functional groups preferentially adapted to the changed environment. The interspecific competition and environmental condition were the worst in autumn after heavy rain due to the increase individuals of some species. The ecological score of benthic macroinvertebrate community(ESB) was higher after the heavy rain than before. Results of the Group Pollution Index(GPI), Korean Saprobic Index(KSI) and Benthic Macroinvertebrate Index(BMI) were similar to those before and after heavy rainfall. Therefore, ESB was the most discriminating method for estimating the biological water quality in this study. Some species that are sensitive to water quality changes still appear or increase individuals in the area under investigation after the heavy rain. On the other hand, the individuals of some pollutant species decreased. This is thought to be because the habitat fluctuation caused by heavy rainfall has improved the water environment.
In the present study, the community distribution, functional feeding groups, and habitat groups of the benthic macroinvertebrates from Gayasan National Park were investigated at eight different sites from 2015 to 2016. The correlation between habitat altitude and each group type was analyzed statistically. Biodiversity indices, including dominance, diversity, richness, and evenness indices, were calculated. The results showed a total of 4,216 individual benthic macroinvertebrates were collected, including 4 phyla, 6 classes, 16 orders, 40 families, and 100 species. Gammarus sobaegensis was dominant with 0.141% dominance, and the subdominant species was Epeorus nipponicus with 0.088% dominance. The EPT group(Ephemeroptera, Plecoptera and Tricoptera) accounted for 71.00% of the total species and 67.69% of the total individuals. The number of scraper species was highest, and the number of gathering collector individuals was highest among functional feeding groups. The individual number of scrapers(r=-0.358, p ˂ 0.05) and gathering collectors(r=-0.343, p ˂ 0.05) decreased with increasing altitude. The numbers of species and individuals of clingers and sprawlers were highest among the habitat groups. The individual number of clingers(r=-0.547, p ˂ 0.01) and burrowers(r=-0.331, p ˂ 0.05) significantly decreased with increasing altitude. The diversity and richness indices were higher in St. 3 than in the other sites. The dominance index was highest in St. 2, and the evenness index was highest in St. 7. We evaluated the biological water quality with several known methods, and concluded that ESB(Ecological score of benthic macrovertebrates community) and GPI(Group polution index) were more suitable than KSI(Korean saprobic index) and BMI (Benthic macrovertebrate index) to assess the biological water quality of Gayasan mountain stream water.
Leptalina unicolor is a hesperiid butterfly with a restricted distribution in Korea, Japan, China, and Russia. Recently, the number of individuals is rapidly decreased in their natural habitat. This skipper has been classified as an endangered species in the ‘Red Data Book’, and according to an IUCN report, is under threat of extinction. Therefore, the conservation and restoration of this species both locally and globally are urgently needed. A population of L. unicolor was found in an unknown habitat in Jaeyaksan, Miryang, Gyeongsangnam-do, Korea in 2011, and these individuals were used in the present study. Here, the life cycle, characteristics of each instar larva and breeding information were determined by breeding L. unicolor in the laboratory from 2012 to 2015. The results indicated that L. unicolor occurs twice a year and over-winter as a fifth instar larva. A springform female individual laid 17.25±5.52 eggs, and summer form laid 29.00±5.86 eggs; it takes 53.79±0.73 days for L. unicolor to develop from eggs to adults. After spawning, the eggs developed in 6.16±0.18 days, and larvae developed in 33.71±0.58 days; the pre-pupal stage to emergence required 14.22±0.31 days. Based on these results, we presented effective breeding information for the restoration and proliferation of the species. Several candidate plants species have been reported in the literature as a food source for L. unicolor, but we found that the preferred diet this butterfly was Miscanthus sinensis. The larvae could move easily when their preferred diet was planted in 80% the cage floor area Year-round breeding was achieved by placing overwintering individuals in low temperatures in autumn. To our knowledge, this is the first study to the biology of L. unicolor in Korea, and the results of this study could be used as preliminary information for the conservation and restoration of this species in its natural habitat.
The distribution characteristics of functional feeding groups and biological evaluation of water quality with benthic macroinvertebrates were investigated from 2013 to 2014 in the mountain streams of Jirisan National Park. Both quantitative and qualitative collection had been performed six times during study periods in twelve sites located at upstream, midstream and downstream of four valleys, Chilsungol, Baemsagol, Daesunggol and Piagol of freshwater ecosystem in Jirisan National Park. As results, the total collected benthic macroinvertebrates were 3 phyla, 4 classes, 11 orders, 37 families, 107 species and 4,028 individuals. In 2013, 3 phyla, 4 classes, 10 orders, 32 families, 89 species and 1,829 individuals were collected. And in 2014, 3 phyla, 4 classes, 9 orders, 31 families, 80 species and 2,199 individuals were identified. The total dominant species was Ecdyonurus kibumensis, and EPT groups occupied 80.39% of total species number. Biotic indices were also compared to site and to season. The dominant index (DI) was highest at the downstream of Baemsagol in the spring of 2013, and the evenness index (J') was highest at the downstream of Daesunggol in the summer of 2013. Both diversity index (H') and richness index (RI) were highest at the upstream of Baemsagol in the summer of 2014. The correlation between altitude above sea level and functional feeding groups of benthic macroinvertebrates was also researched in this study. As a result, the species number of shredders and predators have significantly increased according to the increase of the altitude of their habitat. On the other hand, individuals of gathering collectors have increased according to the increase of altitude. The biological water quality was evaluated and compared with several methods in this study, and we suggest that ESB and GPI are more appropriate than KSI and BMI to evaluate biological water quality of mountain stream water.
An exotic parasitic wasp Anisopteromalus apiovorus of Pteromalidae was newly recorded in Korea. Specimens of this species have been collected in Gimhae of Korea since 2012. External morphology of this species was described in detail and diagnostic differences of this species from the related species and the host insect were also given. The funicle segments of female antennae are 1.2 to 1.5 times longer than those of Anisopteromalus calandrae, an sister species. Body color is gold-glossy black and with dense creamy-white hairs on the surface. This exotic species has been originated from the African continent including Democratic Republic of Congo and Cote d'Ivoire, and then intruded into other countries, for instance, Korea. This is the first distribution record of this species except the country of origin after original description as a new species. Although little is known about the life history or ecology of this species, we found that a new host of this small parasitic wasp is Lasioderma serricorne of coleoptera through present study. And this species possibly be a new agent of biological control for economic pests. It was presumed that the invasion of Anisopteromalus apiovorus into Korea was prior to November of 2012.
화석연료의 연소나 유류 오염 등으로 인해 발생하는 PAHs는 우리 주변 어디에서나 존재하는 위험한 오염물질 중 하나로, 생태계에 영향을 끼치며 작물 생육에도 영향을 준다. PAHs는 작물에서도 흡수가 가능하기 때문에, 작물생육에 대한 저해 효과를 알아보기 위해 콩과 벼에 대한 영향을 유묘기부터 검정하였다. PAHs가 처리된 토양에서 자란 벼와 콩의 초장과 건물중은 다소 감소하였고, 벼보다 콩에서 생장 저해가 강하게 발생되었다. 토양에 100 ppm 농도에서 처리된 경우 콩의 초장은 58.9 cm로 처리되지 않은 콩의 87.2% 값을 보였다. 벼의 경우, 처리 후 80일 100 ppm에서 자란 벼가 처리되지 않은 벼의 96.0% 값을 보여, 초장에 있어서 저해 효과가 낮게 나타났다. 광합성과 관련된 엽록소 함량과 엽록소 형광은 PAHs 처리 후 20일부터 70일까지 저해가 약간 되었지만, 출수기 이후는 저해 정도가 약하게 나타났다. 어린 유묘의 한천 배지 실험은 100 ppm phenanthrene 농도일 때, 성숙한 작물의 폿트 실험과 비교시 유묘 길이와 생체중의 저해가 높게 나타났다. 벼에서는 유묘 길이와 생체중이 각 각 54.2%, 33.3% 감소하였고, 콩에서는 각 각 27.9%, 13.2% 감소되었다. 이러한 결과를 통하여 PAHs은 성숙기보다 영양 생장 초기에 저해가 높게 발생하며, 영양생장기의 피해는 콩보다 벼에서 저해가 높게 발생하였다.
