아시아틱나리 ‘다프네(Daphne)’ 품종은 국립원예특작과학원에서 2009년에 육성되었다. 2000년 적색의 원예원 계통인A95-45(Avignon × Connecticut King)’ 를 모본으로 하고,황색의 아시아틱나리 ‘황금(Hyanggum)’ 품종을 부본으로 교배하였다. 2004년 교배실생 중에서 ‘A04-67’계통을 선발하였다. 2005년부터 2008년까지 조직배양에 의한 대량증식, 순화 및 양구를 거쳐 생육 및 특성검정을 수행하였다. 특성평가는 2009년에 ‘원교 C1-105호’로 수행되었고, 국립종자원에‘다프네’ 품종으로 출원 및 등록 되었다. ‘다프네’ 품종의 개화기는 6월 초순이다. 꽃은 상향으로 개화하고, 화색은 분홍색과 아이보리색의 복색(RHS, R61D+W115B)이다. 초장은77.8 cm이고, 꽃의 크기는 9.6 cm로 소륜이다. 꽃잎은 길이가 5.8 cm이고, 폭은 2.2 cm이다. 잎의 길이는 9 cm이고, 폭은 1.4 cm이다. 구근의 무게는 58.9 g이고, 구주는 17.2 cm이다. 주년재배를 위해서는 -1.5℃에 구근을 동결 저장하여정식시기를 달리하여 활용할 수 있다.

국립원예특작과학원에서는 1997년부터 백색의 내병성 프리지아 품종을 육성하기 위해, 초세는 약하나 조생종인 백색 홑꽃 품종 ‘Athene’의 자가교배 실생을 모본으로 하고 내병성이 약한 백색 겹꽃 품종인 ‘Vienna’를 부본으로 하여 2001년 3월 교배를 실시하여 ‘Grace Girl’을 육성하였다. 종자를 파종하여 얻은 실생으로부터 2003년 백색의 조생 겹꽃인 우수개체를 1차로 선발하였다. 2004년부터 2006년까지 3년에 걸쳐 생육특성 및 수량 검정을 실시 하였으며 안정성, 균일성, 초세, 절화수명, 및 구근 증식력이 우수하다고 판단되어 2007년 농작물 직무육성선정위원회의 심의를 거쳐 ‘Grace Girl’ 이라 명명하였다. ‘Grace Girl’은 백색(RHS, W155D) 다화성 겹꽃 품종으로 잎과 화경의 직립성이 강하고 고성종이며 초세가 강하다. 절화 수확량은 주당 8.3개로 매우 많고 구근증식률도 우수하다. 개화소요일수는 약 135일로 대비품종에 비해 11일 정도 빠르며 포장 내 바이러스의 자연발생이 적어 국내 시설재배 환경에 적합한 품종이다.

An OTO intersectional hybrid lily cultivar ‘Flashy Party’ was developed in 2011 at National Institute of Horticultural and Herbal Science (NIHHS), Rural Development Administration (RDA), of Korea. The cross was made between female parents Lilium OT intersectional hybrid ‘Avocado’ and male parents L. Oriental hybrid ‘Acapulco’ in 2005. Preliminarily selection was done as ‘OTO-08-3’ in 2008. Multiplication and bulb formation, and characteristic tests were conducted from 2008 to 2010. The evaluation of this line was performed and named as ‘Flashy Party (Wongyo C1-113)’ in 2011. ‘Flashy Party’ flowers in the end of June and grows average 131 cm. It flowers semi upward-facing, Red-light yellow color(RHS, R47A+Y8C) with the size of flower 21.5 cm. Mean outer-petal length and width is 15 cm and 4.7 cm, respectively. Leaves are 20 cm long and 3.3 cm wide, respectively. The weight and size of bulb is 65.3 g and 18 cm, respectively. Year-round flowering can be by storing the bulb under -1.5℃ conditions. For forcing culture, it is necessary to add calcium to the fertilizer or remove side scales to prevent leaf scorch. It is needed to control Botrytis disease in wet season.

The evaluation of this line was performed and named as ‘Wongyo C1-110’ in 2011. ‘Red Flame’ flowers at the first days of June and grows average 95.6 cm. It flowers upward-facing, dark red (RHS, R45A) with the size of flower 15.7 cm. Mean petal length and width is 9.7 cm and 3.0 cm, respectively. Leaves are 11 cm long and 1.7 cm wide, respectively. The weight and size of bulb is 52 g and 18 cm, respectively. Year-round flowering can be by storing the bulb under -1.5℃ conditions. A new spray chrysanthemum cultivar ‘Prima Donna’ was released by National Institute of Horticultural and Herbal Science (NIHHS), Rural Development Administration (RDA), in 2008. The cross was made between ‘Plano’ and ‘Yeonja’ in 2005. Trials were conducted from 2006 to 2008 for the evaluation and selection of this cultivar, including shading cultures in summer and retarding cultures in spring. The natural flowering time of ‘Prima Donna’ is late October, but year-round flowering is possible by photo-periodic control. The cultivar has single type flowers with pink petals, green center and good inflorescence. The growth of plant is very vigorous. The diameter of flower is 7.0cm. The number of flowers per stem and petals per flower are 13 and 42, respectively. Days to flowering under the short day treatment is about 59 and its vase life is 26.1 days in autumn season.

"Hyehwa" an Asiatic lily cultivar was released in 1998 at National Institute of Horticultural and Herbal Science (RDA), Suwon, Korea. The cross was made in 1991 between Asiatic lily "White Bird", a white colored, and "Avignon", an unspotted scarlet red colored. It was preliminarily selected as A93-20 in 1993. Its multiplication, bulbing growth and flowering characteristic tests were conducted from 1994 to 1998. A new cultivar "Hyehwa" flowers in middle of June and grows 98.7 cm in height. Flowers bloom upward-facing, thick orange (RHS, 28A). Year-round flowering is possible by storage of the bulb under -1.5℃ conditions. For forcing culture, it is necessary to add calcium to the fertilizer or remove side scales to prevent leaf scorch. Botrytis disease control is needed in the wet season.

A new gerbera variety "Pink Swan" was released by the National Horticultural Research Institute (NHRI) in 2007. A cross was made between "Royal" with orange and single and 'Himalaya' with white and semi-double in 2004. After investigation of the characteristics for 4 years (from 2004 to 2007), it was selected specially for the use of cut-flower. "Pink Swan" is a vigorous medium-sized cultivar with pink (RHS R48D), yellow green center and semi-double. The average flower diameter is 10.6 cm. And inner ray floret and disc diameter is 5.99cm and 1.83cm, respectively. It produces a large yield with continuous supply of flowers and has adequate peduncle height. We believe that "Pink Swan" has a great potential for expanding cultivated area of domestic gerbera cultivar and increasing farmers-income.
