        To develope seaweed transplantation method to reduce grazing pressure by Anthocidaris crassispina, seaweed biomass and number of sea urchin were examined after 2 days from Ecklonia cava transplantation by four ways (three floating rope methods and seaweed transplantation block method). Three floating rope methods were different in the seaweed rope connection to fixation block rope; direct connection, polypropylene rope connection, and stainless wire connection. About twenty sea urchins were found on the seaweed cultivation rope connected directly to fixation block rope and on transplantation block. However no sea urchin was found for 2 days on the seaweed cultivation ropes connected by stainless wire and polypropylene rope. After 2 days from seaweed transplantation, biomass of E. cava was maximal with 992.61 ± 78 g m-1 in wet weight on stainless wire connection method and minimal in seaweed transplantation block method with 121.85 ± 71.67 g m-1. Before transplanting 42 Ecklonia cava plants were on one meter of cultivation rope and 41 plants on the cultivation rope connected with stainless wire to fixation block but five plants were remained on the transplantation block after 2 days. In conclusion, the best transplantation method of E. cava in this study to reduce grazing pressure of sea urchin was a floating rope method connected stainless wire to fixation block.

        한국 동해안 삼척시 갈남 해역의 조간대와 조하대에 생육하는 해조류의 군집구조 변화와 무절산호조류의 분포현황을 2010년 8월부터 2011년 5월까지 계절별로 총 4회 조사하였다. 연구기간에 녹조류 14종, 갈조류 33종, 홍조류 65종이 출현하여 총 112종 채집 및 동정되었다. 이 중 29종은 일 년 내내 출현하였다. 생물량을 근거로 한 우점종은 구멍갈파래(Ulva pertusa), 불레기말류(Colpomenia spp.), 모자반(Sargassum fulvellum), 톳(Sargassum fusiforme), 몽당잎모자반(Sargassum muticum), 지충이(Sargassum thunbergii), 작은구슬산호말(Corallina pilulifera)과 우뭇가사리(Gelidium elegans)였다. 해조류의 연평균 생물량은 건중량으로 66.7 gm-2이었고, 여름에 107.5 gm-2로 최대였고 가을에 36.2 gm-2로 최소값을 기록하였다. 기능형군 분석에서는 성긴분기형(coarsely branched form)이 전체 해조에서 40.0~48.6%를 차지하였다. 엽상형(sheet form), 사상형(filamentous form) 및 성긴분기형을 포함한 기회종인 생태학적 상태그룹 ESG II는 46∼61종으로서 76.7∼82.4%를 차지하였다. 각상형의 무절산호조류는 모든 계절에 출현하였으며, 대표적인 종이 혹쩍(Lithothamnion lemoineae), 혹돌잎(Lithophyllum okamurai), 납작돌잎(Lithophyllum yessoense), 나팔가시돌잎(Hydrolithon gardineri)이었다. 동해안 갈남 해역에서 무절산호조류의 피도는 선행 연구에서 36.8%였으나, 금번에 11%로서 감소하고 있음을 확인하였다.

        한국 서해안 어청도에서 조간대와 조하대에 생육하는 해조류의 생물량과 군집구조를 조사하기 위하여 2008년 6월부터 2009년 4월까지 계절별로 총 4회 현장 조사를 수행하였다. 조사결과 녹조류 12종, 갈조류 23종, 홍조류 66종이 출현하여 총 101종 채집되어 동정되었다. 이중 19종은 일 년 내내 출현하였다. 총 생물량의 많은 부분을 차지하고 있는 우점종은 작은구슬산호말(Corallina pilulifera), 우뭇가사리(Gelidium elegans), 지충이(Sargassum thunbergii), 톳(Sargassum fusiforme), 다시마(Saccharina japonica) 괭생이모자반(Sargassum honeri), 고사리모자반(Sargassum filicinum)이었다. 연간 평균 건중량은 237.5 gm-2이었으며, 최대값은 겨울에 272.1 gm-2, 최소값은 여름에 204.5 gm-2을 기록하였다. 조하대에서의 출현종과 생물량은 조간대에 비하여 많았다. 어청도에서 출현종수와 생물량은 투명도가 낮은 한국 서해 연안의 일반적 특성과 반대로 높은 투명도와 자연 암반의 발달로 인하여 한국 서해안의 다른 도서에 비하여 높은 것으로 보인다.

        Marine algal flora and community structure were investigated seasonally at six sites in the vicinity of Mokpo harbor, on the west-southern coast of Korea from March to December 2004. In total, 88 species including 13 green algae, 20 brown algae, and 55 red algae were collected and identified. Among these species, 21 species were found throughout the year. Gelidium divaricatum and Caulacanthus ustulatus were distributed mostly in the upper intertidal zone. By contrast, Ulva pertusa and Sargassum thunbergii occurred predominantly in the middle intertidal zone. Sargassum fusiforme, S. thunbergii and Chondria crassicaulis were most common in the lower intertidal zone. The annual mean biomass in wet weight was 234.7 g m−2. The maximum biomass was recorded in spring (317.5 g m−2) and minimum was recorded in winter (156.9 g m−2). The R/P, C/P, and (R+C)/P values reflecting the flora characteristics were 2.75, 0.65 and 3.40, respectively. Two groups were produced by cluster analysis, one including group close to inland sites 1, 2, 6 and the other including group in offshore sites 3, 4, 5.

        Ascotis selenaria, a major geometridae moth in citrus trees, annually damages the citrus leaves and fruits. The surface of young citrus fruit were usually fed by 1st larva of A. selenaria after landing or stepping onto the citrus fruits. To protect the larval damages of citrus fruits needs to predict the accurate occurrence time of the 1st larva for spraying. Because larval occurrences is dependent on the oviposition of adult female and the eggs were not found in/on citrus trees, oviposition model of A. selenaria linked with the egg development model will be helpful of protecting larval damages on citrus fruits. Adult longevity, survival and fecundity of A.selenaria was investigated at 13, 16, 20, 24, 28, 30, 32, and 35℃. The longevity decreased as the temperature increased and the female development rates (1/median longevity) were well described by a modified sigmoid model, which was used to calculate the adult physiological age. Description of the total fecundity was used by a non-linear model: The maximum fecundity of A. selenaria was estimated as 2490 eggs and peaked temperature was 19.7℃ according to the fecundity model. The cumulative age-specific oviposition rate and the age-specific survival rate was well described by 2 parameters Weibull function and a reverse logistic curve respectively. Total fecundity model, age-sepecific oviposition model, and age-specific survival model were incorporated into the oviposition model.

        We determined the complete mitogenome of the oriental mayfly, Ephemera orientalis (Ephemeroptera: Ephemeridae) and the dragonfly Davidius lunatus (Odonata: Gomphidae). The 16,463-bp long E. orientalis and the 15,912 bp long D. lunatus mitogenome contains gene arrangement and content identical to the most common type found in a diverse insect order. Most individual E. orientalis and D. lunatus mt genes were well within the size found in the respective genes of other insects. The initiation codon for the D. lunatus COI gene was typical as ATA, whereas no typical start codon was found in the start region of E. orientalis COI gene. The A+T-rich regions of both mitogenomes have a few unusual feature. The A+T-rich region of E. orientalis contains a tandem repeat composed of two identical copies of 55 bp long, whereas that of D. lunatus contains a tandem repeat composed of duplicated identical 261-bp copies and one partial copy of the repeat. Also, the A+T-rich region of E. orientalis contains a single sequence and that of D. lunatus contains nine sequences, along with the tandem triplicate sequences, that has the potential to form stem-and-loop structures, flanked by the conserved sequences, “TA(A)TA” at the 5’ end and “G(A)nT’ at the 3’ end. Furthermore, the A+T-rich region of D. lunatus contains two tRNA-like structures, tRNALeu(UUR)-like sequence and tRNATyr-like sequence that have proper anticodon TAA and clover-leaf structure that were previously found in the hymenopteran insects.

        Background : Angelica dahurica Bentham et Hooker, Angelica gigas Nakai, Ostericum koreanum Maximowicz and Peucedanum japonicum Thumberg are a major medicinal plant in north Geungbuk province. Using medicinal plants are impotant it`s ingredient. Dry condition and stroage method are not standard manual. The ingredient variation of dry condition and stroage method were not researched. Methods and Results : Using plant material were cutivated on Gyongsangbukdo Bonghwa area. It were studied ingredient variation after dry and storage condition by HPLC methods. Major ingredient of Angelica gigas Nakai are decurusin, decurusinangelate. Heated air bulk dry get more decursin than natuarl dry and decurusinangelate of natural bulk dry was higher than heated air bulk dry. Major ingredient of Ostericum koreanum Maximowicz are imperatorin and isoimperatorin.. Imperatorin of Ostericum koreanum was highest peak on 50℃ heated-air dry after plastic bag sorage and isoimperatorin was highest peak on 40℃ heated-air dry after mountain cultivation. Imperatorin is a major ingredient Angelica dahurica Bentham et Hooker. Heated air bulk dry get more decursin and decursinangelate than natuarl dry and small heated-air dry. Peucedanol-7o_glucoside is a major ingredient Peucedanum japonicum Thumberg. Natural bulk dry get more peucedanol-7o_glucoside than heated-air bulk dry. Conclusion : Ingredient of Angelica dahurica Bentham et Hooker, Angelica gigas Nakai, Ostericum koreanum Maximowicz are different under various cutivation, drying method, storage. Diffent Ingedients of Angelica gigas Nakai, Ostericum koreanum Maximowicz were not accord it’s optical conditon.

        Central venous catheterization can induce cardiac arrhythmias, such as, premature atrial or ventricular complexes, which are typically transient events. However, sometimes it initiates supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) with hemodynamic repercussions. We present a case of supraventricular tachycardia with cardiovascular collapse during central venous catheterization in a 32-year-old woman with an ovarian mass who required exploratory laparotomy. At first, the guide wire was withdrawn and carotid sinus massage attempted, but the patient did not return to sinus rhythm. Eventually, reversion to sinus rhythm was achieved after injecting adenosine.

        This study summarizes the relations among PM2.5 concentration, water-soluble ions concentration, metallic element Components characteristics and SPSS in negative ion and metallic element of PM2.5 particle in Miryang.(By the urban area, the industrial complex area and the suburban area according to the season) PM2.5 concentration of total 72 samples collected from 3 sites turned out to range from 3.47 to 34.7 μg/m3 , and the average concentration was the suburban area-the kin nup(16.00 μg/m3 ) > the urban area-the roof of the old Miryang university(10.32 μg/m3 ) > the industrial complex-Sapo industrial complex(10.29 μg/m3 ). In particular, the suburban area had PM2.5 concentration 1.5 times those of urban area, industrial complex. It was thought although the site was suburban and farm-side without pollutants around, it had a higher concentration value influenced by external factors including the brickyard, small-scale incinerator, driving range construction, construction on the Daegu-Busan express and the widening of the four-lane road between Miryang-Anyang nearby. As for water-soluble ions among PM2.5 particle collected in Miryang area, SO42− accounted for 60% and NO3−, was 30% in spring and summer. And NO3− accounted for 50% and SO42− was 35% in fall and winter. The AI value of metallic Components among PM2.5 particle collected in Miryang area had a high value influenced by the apartment complex construction and the extension work of road. The industrial complex area had Zn concentration 3 times, and Fe concentration 2 times those of urban area and suburb area. When it comes to the relation with metallic elements in urban area, the highest coefficient of correlation was between Cr-Fe with 0.85, and Pb-Cd turned out in the reverse correlation. Among metallic elements, the coefficients of correlation between Zn and Cr, Mn, Fe, NI were high in industrial complex area. The highest coefficient of correlation was between Mn-Zn with 0.88, meanwhile Ni and Cu, Cd turned out in the reverse correlation in the suburb area. These coefficients of correlation are attributed to the difference in pollutant sources, rather than difference in pollutant and non-pollutant.

        “Shinmichal1”, a waxy red winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) cultivar was developed by the National Institute of Crop Science, RDA. It was derived from the cross “Alchan”/“Chal2”during 1997. “Alchan” is a soft red winter wheat with high yield and good noodle quality. “Chal2” is a waxy wheat line crossed by “Kanto107” (Wx-A1b and Wx-B1b) and “BaiHuo” (Wx-D1b). “Shinmichal1” was evaluated as “Suwon306” in Advanced Yield Trial Test in 2002. It was tested in the regional yield trial test between 2003 and 2006. “Shinmichal1” is an awned, semi dwarf and soft red winter wheat, similar to “Uri” (check cultivar). The Heading and maturing date of “Shinmichal1” were similar to “Uri”. Culm and spike length of “Shinmichal1“ were 79 cm and 7.8 cm. “Shinmichal1“ had greater test weight (802 g) and lower 1,000-grain weight (31.8 g) than “Uri” (782 g and 35.2 g, respectively). It has resistance to winter hardiness, wet-soil tolerance, lodging tolerance and moderate post-harvest sprouting damage. “Shinmichal1” had higher flour yield (66.2%), ash (0.73%), protein (10.9%) and SDS sedimentation volume (40.7 ml) than “Uri” (64.7%, 0.53%, 9.3%, and 32.5 ml, respectively) and similar flour color to “Uri”. “Shinmichal1” had higher dough extensibility and lower dough strength than “Uri”. It is 5.2% of amylose content and had typical waxy starch pasting properties. Average yield of “Shnmichal1” in the regional adaptation yield trial was 5.24 MT ha-1 in upland and 5.58 MT ha-1 in paddy field, which was 3% and 8% lower than those of “Uri” (5.39 MT ha-1 and 6.09 MT ha-1, respectively). “Shinmichal1” would be suitable for the area above the daily minimum temperature of -10℃ in January in Korean peninsula.

        A reaction of 214 lines and varieties to BB korean race K1, resistance and moderately resistance was 33 varieties which were bred before in 1990, susceptible were 5 varieties (Milyang23, Dongjinbyeo, Sinseonchalbyeo, Changseongbyeo and Cheongmyeongbyeo). Among bred after in 1990 resistance appeared 58 varieties, 18 varieties were susceptible. Bred after in 2000 were 50 varieties appeared resistance and 5 varieties were susceptible (Manho, Goun, Jinbong, Josaengheugchal, and Manna). Accordingly most varieties bred in south korea seemed to possession resistance to BB korean race K1. As a result of whether or not having Xa1 gene of rice varieties by SNP marker appeared that 43 varieties and the other 10 lines and varieties have Xa1 gene. Varieties bred before in 1990 have 18 (62.1%) varieties out of 29 varieties possession Xa1 gene to showed resistance to BB korean race K1, 19 (47.5%) varieties bred in 1990~2000, 6 (12.8%) varieties (Boseogchal, Daepyong, Hanareumbyeo, Hopyeongbyeo, Jongnam, Kuman) bred after in 2000 seemed to possession Xa1 gene.
