        We used a conventional activated sludge process to treat a paper wastewater, and then the effluent was treated with an ozone oxidation process as advanced process to remove non-degradable materials. It was found that the removal efficiency rates of the organic matter has been rapidly increased initially, and then it was almost constant after this period. The concentration of ozone should be recommended to maintain approximately 8.3 mg/L during this operation to keep the CODmn value below 100 mg/L and ozone contact time longer than 60 min.

        온실에서 친환경적 해충방제를 위해여 쓰이는 황색 및 청색 끈끈이 트랩은 여러 종류가 생산, 판매 되고 있다. 이 트랩들은 가격과 성능은 물론 색상에 도 차이를 보이며, 농민들의 선호도 또한 다르다. 이 같은 문제점을 수정․보 완코자 유인력이 가장 좋은 끈끈이트랩의 색상을 선정하기 위해서 본 실험을 실시하였다. 가루이류, 총채벌레류, 뿌리파리류를 대상으로 색상과 색 농도에 따른 유인 력의 차이를 검정하기 위해, 1차 실험은 황색과 청색 2종의 색상에서 각각 4 가지 다른 색 농도를 선정하여 (주)세실에 끈끈이트랩의 제작을 의뢰 하였다. 제작된 트랩을 경남지역 3곳의 온실에 설치하여 유인력을 검정한 결과 색상 별로 각각 가장 유인력이 좋았던 2가지 색 농도를 선발하였다. 2차 실험은 유 인 효과가 좋은 색상과 색 농도를 좀 더 세분하여 결정하기 위해 1차 실험에 서 선발된 색 농도의 범위 내에서 3가지 색상을 추가하여 각각 5가지 색 농 도를 (주)세실에서 판매되는 끈끈이 트랩을 대조로 하여 같은 지역에서 실험 을 실시하였다. 그 결과 황색끈끈이트랩은 1가지 색 농도에서, 청색끈끈이트 랩은 2가지 색 농도에서 기존트랩보다 높은 유인력을 보였다. 금후 본 연구에서 선발한 색상과 색 농도를 끈끈이 트랩의 제작에 사용한 다면 기존 판매되고 있는 끈끈이 트랩 보다 우수한 유인력을 얻을 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

        공판정 또는 그 외에서 한 공범자의 자백이 다른 공범자인 피고인의 공소사실과 관련하여 증거능력을 가질 수 있는가, 증거능력을 갖는다면 그 요건은 무엇인가 하는 문제, 즉 "공범자의 자백"의 증거능력 및 증명력의 문제는 이론적 또는 실무적으로 중요한 의미를 갖는다. 그리고 공범관계에 있는 공동피고인의 자백을 다른 공범자인 피고인에 대한 유죄증거로 사용할 수 있는가에 관한 논의의 핵심은, 증거법의 기본원칙인 직접심리주의와 전문증거법칙 그리고 자유심증주의와 자백배제 및 자백보강법칙간의 관계설정에 있다. 따라서 공동피고인이 공범자인 경우에는 그 진술의 증거능력을 인정함에 있어서는 이해관계의 특수성에 기한 위험성을 고려하여 보다 신중해야 할 것으로 생각된다. 그렇기 때문에 증거능력과 관련해서는 공판정의 진술보다는 공판정외의 진술의 증거능력을 인정함에 보다 엄격한 제한을 가하는 것이 타당하다.

        In this study, disinfection effect of coliform group treated with ozone was analyzed for the effluent discharging from activated sludge treatment process in hospital wastewater treatment plant. Based on these results, it aims to get basic data to establish the disinfection facility in hospital wastewater treatment, suggesting affecting factors according to hydraulic retention time of the activated sludge process and design basic factors necessary to ozone disinfection. Removal efficiencies of coliform group for the effluent according to HRT such as 4hr, 8hr, 12hr were analyzed using a lab-scale activated sludge process, respectively. To decay the microorganism regulates the CT value multiplied disinfectant concentration by contact time. CT value is highly correlated with a removal efficiency of coliform group and according to increasing an injected ozone concentration, the CT value was increased.. When HRT was 4, 8, 12 hours , CT value takes place at minimum condition 50, 40, 334 mg/L-min, respectively.

        We have performed the flat-fielding correction for the Hα full-disk monitoring system of KASI (Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute), which is installed in the Solar Flare Telescope (SOFT) at the top of Bohyun Mountain. For this, we used a new method developed by Chae (2004), to determine the flat pattern from a set of relatively shifted images. Using this method, we successfully obtained the flat pattern for Hα full-disk observations and compared our result with the image observed in Catania Astrophysical Observatory. The method that we used in this study seems to be quite powerful to obtain the flat image for solar observations. In near future, we will apply this method for the flat-fielding correction of all solar imaging instruments in KASI.

        This study examines the examples and changes of wooden member terms in Yeonggeon-euigwe(營建儀軌) in the era of Joseon Dynasty. As a result of examining examples, about 240 wood member terms were found on the basis of phonetic value and examples different from today's term use were also confirmed. Wood member terms were derived in variety and synonym and different style, that is, coexistence or transition of several notations as the term indicating the same member was found. Derivation of detail terms has the characteristic increasing on the basis of morpheme and formation of different notation followed Chinese notation or was caused by complex coinage features like a coined word of Korea by the meaning of a word and borrowed character notation borrowing sound and it is also related to the specificity of that time which had dual language system. The typical examples without different style for long were pillar, rafter, door and window. Examples with active generation and selection of different styles included beam, capital and bracket-system terms. Different styles were caused by the combination of several notations including borrowed character in the process of Chinese character notation borrowing sound, Korean unique character emphasizing and limiting combination of 木 (wood) with side of character and Chinese. Period showing remarkable change of example notation was the compilation of 《the Hwa-Sung-Sung-Euk-Eui-Gue》華城城役儀軌. 《the Hwa-Sung-Sung-Euk-Eui-Gue》is the representative type uigwe made by printed type not by handicraft. Printing by type accompanies unification of the shape of a character necessarily and it was considered that it resulted in the unification of character of different style, the number of strokes and minute difference of strokes, and it was interpreted that common use of intentional notation with the unification of the shape of a character was achieved.

        The aim of this study was to examine the promoting effect of herbal extracts on hair regrowth in C3H/HeJ mice. The herbal extracts were obtained from the Damo-cosmetics Inc. There were four experimental groups including distilled water (D. W., negative control), 20% ethanol (EtOH, vehicle control), 3% minoxidil (MXD, positive control), and herbal extract (Ext). The herbal extract included the mixture of water and alcohol extract from Pleuropterus multflorus, Lonicera japonica Thunberg, Phellinus linteus, and Phaseolus radiatus. Test compounds were applied to the shaved dorsal skin of mice mouse for 3 weeks. The photograph of hair regrowth was taken at day 0, 4, 7, 10, 14, 17, and 21. The herbal extract group showed faster hair regrowth than negative control group or 20% EtOH groups after 10 and 14 days of treatments. The elongation of hair follicles in MXD and the herbal extract groups were observed. The activities of alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and γ-glutamyl transpeptidase were sfanificantly (γ-GT) increased in MXD and herbal extract groups compared with negative control group (p<0.05). The expression of epidermal growth factor (EGF) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) were also sfanificantly hfaher in MXD and herbal extract group than negative control group (p<0.05), althouah there were no sfanificant differences amoularhe groups of 20% EtOH, MXD, and herbal extract. These results suagest that the herbal extract used in this study may have grpromoting effect on hair regrowth by increasing activities of ALP and γ-GT and expression of EGF and VEGF.

        Anti-wrinkle effect of herbal extracts was investigated on the skin of in a model of animal irradiated by ultraviolet rey B (UVB). The female albino hairless mice (HR/ICR) were randomly allocated to the normal control group (NC-non irradiated-vechicle), positive control group (PC, UVB irradiated vehicle) and herbal extract (HE) group. The herbal extract included the mixture of water and alcohol extract from Pleuropterus multflorus, Lonicera japonica Thunbert, Phellinus linteus, and Phaseolus radiatus. The herbal extract was treated dorsally with 0.2 ml per mouse five times a week for 12 weeks. At fifth week of the treatment, the animals were exposed to UVB irradiation for subsequent eight weeks three times a week. The intensity of irradiation was gradually increased from 30 mJ/㎠ to 240 mJ/㎠ (1MED: 60 mJ/㎠). Dorsal skins were obtained and stained with H&E to examine histological changes and epidermal/dermal thckness. The collagen fiber was also observed in Masson-Trichrome staining. Hydroxyproline assay and western blot analysis were also carried out to detect the change of collagen amount and to investigate MMP-1 expression, respectively. The HE group showed a better appearance and weak wrinkling, compared to PC group, The treatment of herbal extract significantly increased the thickness of dermis and the amount of collagen fibers compared to PC group (p<0.05). The treatment of HE significantly increased the hydroxyproline amount compared to PC group (p<0.05). The chronic UVB irradiation to hairless mice skin increased expression of MMP-1 but the treatment of HE decreased the expression of MMP-1. These results indicate that the herbal extract used in this study have a preventive effect on the UVB-induced wrinkle in a hairless mice model, partly due to the reduction of MMP-1 expression and increment of collagen amount.

        The average BOD concentration was found to be about 269mg/L before a process innovation, but after the innovation, it became 30mg/L, which satisfied the effluent standard of 120mg/L. The removal effluent standard of 120mg/L. The removal efficiency was about 60~80%, and the concentration of the treated water was found th be low. after the process innovation, the average COD concentration was 29mg/L, and the CODmn removal efficiency became low to the level of about 65~76%, which was found lower than the effluent standard of 130mg/L. After the process innovation the SS average concentration of the treated water was 13mg/L, which was lower than that before the innovation (32mg/L). By the activated sludge process innovation, the SS removal efficiency was improved to be 30~70%. The average concentration of total coliform before the process innovation was 6100 count/mL because an Activated sludge process only occasionally pass over the allowed standard(The average number of the total coliform of Activated sludge process treated water was about 8100 count/mL), UV disinfection process was introduced. after the introduction, the average number of the total coliform was 1800 count/mL, which satisfied the allowed effluent standard of 3000 count/mL.

        In spite of the increasing significance on a scale of building measurement unit and its system having been used in many areas of architecture, only a few researchers carried out the studies on a specific period. It is even harder to find a research results dealt in view of architecture. This research gives a focus on different types of scales employed in the ancient buildings and their sites, based on the research results of unit scale or scales found in recent excavations. After the review of literature on the scales widely used in the ancient times and of the various types of scales excavated archeologically, a kind of scale unit system that had been widely and extensively employed throughout the period of 'Three Kingdoms' could be revealed. The scale system is possibly able to be applied to estimate the exact scale of buildings and their sites as well in that era. The research results show that the scale and its system employed in the East and West buildings and their sites of 'Kum-dang' in 'Mi-ruk Sa' temple are different from 'Kokuryo' scale that was believed in to be used in the temple. Contrary to the suggestion by excavation report on the type of scale employed in the buildings their sites, a scale of 29 centimeters, similar to that of Tang, was employed. It was also found that one module consists of three 'Chuk's of 88.8 centimeters. Based on this scale system, we could conclude that three modules of the buildings on the front and two and half modules of them on the sides were explained by this scale and its system.

        어육장과 시중 판매되는 소스의 휘발성 향기 성분들을 GC-SAW 전자코를 이용하여 분석하였다. 어육장은 담그고 1년 동안 발효·숙성 하면서 2개월 간격으로 액체부분만 취해서 분석하였고 숙성 1년이 지난 후에는 가열을 하였다. 소스는 주 원료가 다른 6종을 구입하여 시료로 이용하였다. 발효·숙성이 진행됨에 따라 어육장의 휘발성 향기 성분은 감소하였으며 숙성 후 가열 처리 한 결과 초기 머무름 시간에서 새로운 peak가 여러 개 생성 또는 증가함을 보였다. 쇠고기 추출물, 가쓰오부시, 멸치액젓이 주원료인 소스는 전자코 분석 결과 주 원료에 따라 peak의 분포와 면적의 크기가 서로 다른 패턴을 보였으며, 이는 어육장의 최종 시료와도 달랐다. 어육장과 소스의 향기 성분을 머무름 시간에 따라 주성분 분석을 하여 원료에 따른 향기 패턴에 차이가 있음을 나타내었으며 어육장은 제조 시 사용된 재료로 인하여 쇠고기와 멸치액젓이 주 원료인 소스 사이에 제 1주성분값이 나타났다. 이는 식품의 복잡하고 미묘한 향만을 객관적으로 관찰 한 것으로 향후 맛의 차이에 대한 연구도 병행되어야 할 듯 하다.
