        This study investigated the effect of Lactiplantibacillus plantarum JSA22-fermented rice drinks on dextran sodium sulfate (DSS)-induced colitis in mice. Twenty-four mice were randomly assigned; No colitis (Con), colitis with tap water (DSS-only), colitis with unfermented rice (DSS-UFR), and colitis with fermented rice (DSS-FR). After inducing colitis with 2% DSS for 5 days, they were given Tap water, UFR drink, or FR drink for an additional 6 days. The DSS-FR group had significantly lower Disease Activity Index (DAI) scores compared to the DSS-only group, but no significant difference with the DSS-UFR group. Colon length was reduced in the DSS-only group. The DSS-only group had significantly higher IL-6 mRNA levels compared to the Con group, while the DSS-FR groups showed significantly lower IL-6 mRNA levels compared to the DSS-only group. These results suggest that rice drinks fermented with Lactiplantibacillus Plantarum JSA22 ameliorate the severity of DSS-colitis, by potentially reducing proinflammatory cytokines.

        This paper investigates the relationship of voltage and current waveform between normal piezo injector and deterioration abnormal piezo injector. The experimental methods using Pico oscilloscope and GDS scan tool are employed to measure current and voltage waveform and fuel pressure of piezo injector. The experiment is carried out during no-load condition. A summary of the important results are as follows. 1) In case of normal injector, the fluctuation of duration time of piezo injector was linearly and regularly decreased with increasing engine speed, but the that of deterioration piezo injector was irregularly decreased with increasing engine speed. 2) In main injection, the peak value of the current waveform of abnormal injector was larger than that of normal injector, the duration time of deteriorated abnormal injector was less than that of normal injector at 800rpm and 1500rpm, but the duration time of deteriorated abnormal injector was larger than that of normal injector at 2000rpm and 3000rpm. This irregularity appears to be caused by the deterioration of the injector.

        This paper investigates the relationship between the waveform area and fuel injection quantity. It is on developing on analysis method of waveform the effect of waveform area on fuel injection quantity of CRDI Diesel engine. The experimental methods using Pico oscilloscope and fuel injection tester are employed to measure current and voltage waveform and fuel injection quantity of solenoid injector. The one normal and two abnormal solenoid injectors are used. The experiment is carried out during no-load condition. A summary of the important results are as follows. 1) The area of the voltage and current waveform of the abnormal injector becomes larger than the that of normal injector, and the area of the current and voltage waveform is inversely proportional to the fuel injection quantity. 2) The area of the current waveform can be obtained more accurate results than that of voltage waveform. 3) It is possible to infer the fuel injection quantity by measuring the current waveform and calculating the area.

        In this study, we investigated the effect of bisphosphonate on the osteoblastic differentiation of human dental stem cells (hDPSCs). In the first experiment, we evaluated the effect of bisphosphonate on the differentiation of hDPSCs into osteoblasts by alkaline phosphatase staining after culturing hDPSCs. As a result, on day 13, the osteogenic differentiation of hDPSC was suppressed at 5 μM in clodronate and 2 μM in zolendronate. In NBP, osteogenic differentiation is more suppressed. In second experiment, cytotoxicity and proliferation test, the cell proliferation (examined by MTT assay) was more suppressed as the concentrations of zolendronate were larger than those of alendronate and clodronate. Western blotting, a third experiment, was found that AKT phosphorylation was inhibited in cell signaling proteins involved in cell proliferation inhibition and death by bisphosphonate concentration. In human dental stem cells, bisphosphonates inhibit osteoblast differentiation, and this phenomenon is clearly observed in NBPs (zolendronate), and it has been found that it is related to AKT phosphorylation of cell signaling proteins.

        This paper is on developing the waveform analysis method in driving control of solenoid injector of CRDI diesel engine. The experimental methods using Pico oscilloscope and scan tool is employed to measure current and voltage waveform of solenoid injector. The solenoid injector are used 1 normal and 2 abnormal injectors. The experiment is carried out during no-load condition. The magnitude of pressure drop is largest main duration, pre and pilot duration in the order named in case of normal injector, whereas was largest pilot duration, pre and main duration in the order named in case of abnormal injectors.

        The test was done on cars travelling at the speeds of 20km/h, 60km/h and 100km/h using the performance testing mode for chassis dynamometer. In this test, the secondary ignition waveform, exhaust emissions and fuel consumption were measured in case of faulty MAP sensor, faulty oxygen sensor and spark plugs. The following results from the related analysis of secondary waveform, emission and fuel consumption measurements were obtained : 1) The fuel consumption was higher in the order of oxygen sensor trouble, MAP trouble, spark plug trouble, before maintenance and after maintenance. Maximum fuel economy is 9.3km/L, the minimum fuel economy is 3.2km/L, the difference between max. and min. is 65.5%. 2) If you compare the oxygen sensor trouble with after maintenance, the CO has improved an average of 98%, fuel economy average of 60%. And the HC has improved an average of 87%, fuel economy average of 60%. The fuel consumption and exhaust gas was bad in the order of oxygen sensor trouble, MAP trouble and S/P trouble.

        This study analyzed by measuring the voltage waveform of the injector intended for operating CRDI diesel vehicle. The cases of the EGR trouble and a EGR normal is considered. 1) The voltage waveform in the case of the normal and trouble, the difference between the maximum voltage was not large, decrease in the number of voltage gated pulses with the increase in engine speed, sustained current remained for this period. 2) The voltage waveform, comparing the case of the normal case and trouble, the size of the maximum voltage, no large change in gate pulse voltage is to be generated than in the case of a defective irregular longer opening time of the injector factor it was possible to know the bad influence on the fuel efficiency.

        This study developed a portable extinguishing equipment that can extinguish A-class, B-class fire. This equipment is made of Water Mist Gun, controlling board, decelerator, pump, engine, and etc,. This equipment is formed mist water when pressurized water with high pressure flows through a radial shape nozzle. As a result of several efficiency tests, it is developed nozzle and equipment that are not clogged, and improved the extinguishing efficiency. This developed equipment indicated a excellent effect of initial extinguishment of fire in a vulnerable area where it is difficult to approach such as temple, and traditional market.

        The several experiments of Diesel vehicles using EFT were completed. The experiments were performed on chassis dynamometer and road driving test using test mode such as FTP-75 and LA-4. The experiments were employed to measure the effect eco-friendly EFT additives on exhaust emissions and fuel consumption efficiency. In this experiment, the following results are obtained by analyzing the data relativity between exhaust emissions and EFT additives. The value of exhaust emissions such as NOX, SOX, CO2 and PM were improved as Diesel mixed EFT additives at th ratio of 200:1. The improvement of resulting data value was best PM, NOX, SOX, CO₂and fuel consumption rate in the order named.

        The two experiments of gasoline vehicle using eco-friendly treatment(Ecoburn) were completed. The experiments was done on traveling using the performance testing mode for chassis dynamometer and road driving test. The experiments were employed to measure exhaust emissions and fuel consumption. In this experiment, the correlation between CO₂and fuel consumption were found in gasoline vehicle. The following results are obtained by analyzing the data relativity between exhaust emissions and additives. 1) If the value of exhaust emissions such as CO, HC, NOX, CO₂were improved as gasoline mixed additives at th ratio of 300:1. The value of fuel consumption were worse compare to those of exhaust emission. The improvement of resulting data value was best CO, HC, NOX and fuel consumption in the order named. 2) The value of CO₂ were to be nearly proportional to the fuel consumption value.

        The two experiments were done on stationary car at 800rpm, 1500rpm and running car on oscilloscope and chassis dynamometer at the speeds of 20km/h, 60km/h. In this experiment, the relativity between waveform, exhaust emissions and fuel consumption through two experimental methods were measured in case of cars with failures in MAP sensor, O sensor, spark plugs. The following results are obtained by analyzing the data relativity between two experimental methods, such as stationary and running tests. A simple stationary test under the maintenance of a decrepit gasoline vehicle would be realistic possibility to predict the fuel consumption and the exhaust emission comparable to results of running test with a chassis dynamometer.

        The experiment was carried out during no-load condition for analysis of the relativity between MAP, hot film, oxygen, the secondary ignition and injector waveform. The experimental methods using oscilloscope were employed to measure waveform. The relativity between several waveform and the secondary waveform coming from ignition coil were measured in case of three decrepit vehicles. From these results, a summary of the important results are as follows. 1. Through fast acceleration experiments, the response time values of hot film sensor and oxygen sensor was faster than the those of the MAP sensor and oxygen sensor. 2. The values of spark line duration time was largest A, C, B type in the order named. And discharge energy of the secondary ignition waveform was largest A, B, C type 3. The value of effective discharge energy is to be nearly proportional to the spark line duration time. 4. The value of effective discharge energy directly increases as revolutions per minute increase, and the value of spark line duration time decreases as revolutions per minute increase.

        This paper is on developing the advanced method in diagnosis electronic control of gasoline and LPG engine. The experimental methods using oscilloscope were employed to measure waveform of hot wire, hot film, oxygen, ignition coil and injector. Through these analysis, emission reduction and fuel economy improvement were expected by depict vehicles. The experiment was carried out during no-load condition. A summary of the important results are as follows. 1. The factors affecting the secondary ignition waveform from the primary ignition waveform were reverse surge voltage and induced voltage . Actually shape of primary ignition waveform was normal, but a secondary ignition waveform was measured badly. 2. The area of the voltage-time diagram of secondary ignition waveform means the value of the effective discharge of energy. This value is negative, the fuel economy could be predicted badly and is positive, good value of fuel economy could be predicted. 3. Inspection and maintenance of DLI ignition vehicles compared to DIS ignition vehicles were essential. The secondary ignition waveform of the C type vehicle were worst compare to those of the different type vehicles. The injection duration of injector was largest C, D types in the order named, was shortest E, F type. As a result, E, F type are most effective among Gasoline vehicles.

        Artificial insemination (AI) with frozen or cooled semen is widely used in commercial fields of cattle and pig. Little is known about characteristics of canine sperm after freezing or cooling. For both practical and commercial goal, the canine semen treated with cooling and freezing should be carried out to exam the fundamentals, including sperm motility, survivability and fertilizing capacity. The aim of this study, thus, was to identify the effects of extended exposure to 4 on canine semen by motility, survivability, acrosomal changes following different duration. Fifteen ejaculates collected by digital manipulation twice per week from 3 dogs (Shih-Tzu) were divided to 16 aliquots after adding Tris-egg yolk (TE) buffer formulated by our laboratory, and cooled from 37 to 4, by ramp rate of 0.6/min. Each sample was evaluated by their motility, survivability and the acrosomal status at 0h (control), 2h, 12h and 1 d~10 d, respectively. The motility of spermatozoa was graded to 6 levels using the modified method of Seager. The survivability of sperm was assessed using an epifluorescence microscope after Fert/Light (Mole-cular Probes Inc.) staining. To estimate the proportion of the spermatozoa of intact acrosome, 200 spermatozoa were assessed in randomly selected fields, using epifluorescence microscope after FITC/PSA (Sigma) staining. At 2 h after cooling, the motility of most spermatozoa were assessed to be grade 0 and 1. At 12 h, high number of sperm were in grade 0 to 1, however, it was significantly (P<0.05) lower than that of 2 h. From 1 d to 4 d, ~50% of sperm was assessed to grade 0 to 1. On day 7, a little sperm were in grade 0 to 1. No sperm showed motility on day 10. Sperm motility was rapidly reduced by the percent of 10% of grade 0 to 1. From 2 h to 6 h, the number of live sperm was 90% and the sperm chilled for 10 days lived>50%. Acrosomal intact of spermatozoa exposed to 4 for 2 h was 51%, supposed the sperm of control was 100%. Our results suggest that 1) this is easy to transfer and preservation for short periods 2) AI can be used by semen chilled for 6-Day.
