Nonlinear seismic evaluation of RC building usually needs much time and man power, In this study, several computational modules were applied for evaluation of existing RC buildings. To investigate the effect of applied modules on time, seismic performance evaluation of example building was performed and the man power input was compared with conventional process.

In this paper, the filed test procedure for evaluating the performance of track structure for additional Speed-Up test on Test-Bed Section(KP 100∼128km Osong starting point). The behavior of track system corresponding the speed up of train will be identified by the analysis of the measured data.

Displacement is one of the most fundamental responses, containing useful information regarding dynamic behavior of a structure. Traditional displacement measurement devices such as LVDT have difficulties in using for full-scale civil structures mainly due to the installation inconvenience. The use of laser-based measurements is rapidly increasing; however, the high equipment cost prevents its wider adoption. This study uses a vision-based displacement measurement system as a cost-effective and practical solution for field testing. The vision-based system is used to measure vertical deflections of a railway bridge for high-speed trains to validate its applicability for the bridge deflection measurement.

Miscanthus sacchariflorus var. No. 1 has been newly developed in Korea. This study was conducted to assess the feed value of M. sacchariflorus var. No. 1 at different growth and harvesting time. Total 3 different miscanthus - 1y4m (first shoot and harvested at 4 month), 2y4m (second shoot and harvested at 4 month) and 2y8m (second shoot and harvested at 8 month). Two experiments were carried out, In vitro rumen simulated fermentation and In situ dry matter digestibility (DMD). Ruminal pH at in vitro fermentation were higher in M. sacchariflorus var. No. 1 treatments compared to the rice straw (RS). In volatile fatty acid production, 1y4m resulted in higher acetate production than the other M. sacchariflorus var. No. 1 at higher maturity stages. Significant differences among treatments were observed in propionate and total volatile fatty acid (VFA) productions at 9, 24 and 48 h of incubation times. Higher ammonia nitrogen productions were found as increased maturity of M. sacchariflorus var. No. 1. At In situ experiment, high DMD was detected in the order of RS (60.51%) > 1y4m (57.65%) > 2y4m (57.63%) > 2y8m (46.28%). The results from this study indicate that young and early harvested M. sacchariflorus var. No. 1 are able to improve its nutrient values in the ruminant animal.

Even though the need for application of damping devices is being raised even in Korea, the design process for damping system is usually performed without considering not only if the design base shear has been reduced in proper ratio, but also if the response reduction due to the application of the damping device has been actually occurred. In this research, response reduction effect was checked as a reduced base shear force, energy approach, and logarithmic decrement approach for the bearing wall apartment buildings with fluid damper.

Common feature of displacement-based sensing is that the high-frequency resolution is limited, and often relatively low sampling rates are used. Another problem is that integration of accelerometer data that causes low-frequency noise amplification, and potentially more problematic differentiation of displacement measurements which amplify high-frequency noise. A multi-rate Kalman filtering approach is proposed to solve these problems. This method yields highly accurate motion data.
