        This research is a study of fashion design that applied formative features of formal beauty of architecture into clothing design; we focused on Gaudi's architectural style as well as Art Nouveau style that became popular from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century. We noted that in general the simple and flat features of cloth impose a limitation on the expression of formal features in clothing design, but a unique diversity of designs can be achieved, evoking a sense of freshness by an ideal combination of flat patterns and draping. The aim of this research is to present a possibility of extending the sphere of design expression by creating threedimensional clothes with pattern-cutting skills and applications of three-dimensional patterns as well as flat patterns found in Gaudi's works of architecture that are distinguished in curvaceousness and formal beauty. As for the research method, we reviewed previous studies by making a close review of books, papers, the pictures and web sites related to this topic. We made our clothes on the basis of this theoretical consideration. We found the following points. First, by presenting a work of fashion inspired by architectural designs, we realized that formal beauty in architect can become a motive for clothing design in a broad scale by noting the formal images, decoration details, and formative features of architectural works. Second, the characteristic lines of Gaudi's architecture are suitable to be adapted for expressing the detailed lines of decoration in clothes. Third, we can express formative beauty in clothes by highlighting the variation of shapes and lines through various attempts of change in background pattern, even though there is a limitation in the availability of cloth material because we must choose pieces of cloth with right texture and thickness that can be cut and sewn appropriately to express formative beauty. Fourth, we confirmed that it was possible to create unique formative designs by a creative application of both flat and three-dimensional cutting.

        Saline-tab water (2.5 L) with 0, 2.5, 5, and 10% saline solution contaminated by P. aeroginosa or S. aureus, was electrolyzed with constant electrical current of 2A or 4A for different time durations (1, 2, 4, 8, and 16min). The electrolysis with 2A-4min showed disinfection effect against P. aeroginosa of 105 CFU/㎖ in all saline concentrations. When the electrical current was raised to 4A, P. aeroginosa of 106 CFU/㎖ was disinfected in 4 min. S. aureus of 105 CFU/㎖ was disinfected with 2A-2 min in all saline concentrations. S. aureus of 106 CFU/㎖ was completely disinfected with 2A-8 min. To compare the effect of constant current electrolysis with that of intermittent current electrolysis, solution contaminated with P. aeroginosa of 106 CFU/㎖ was electrolyzed with several pairs of intermittent current of 2A for 2 min followed by 2min pause. Disinfecting effect of intermittent electrolysis was very similar to the constant current electrolysis without pause in 16 min. The present study demonstrated that the direct electrolyzing process with no septum membrane is a convenient and economic sterilization method.

        실리사이드반웅을 이용하여 니켈모노실리사이드의 양측계면에 단결정실리콘을 적층시켜 전도성이 우수하며 식각특성이 달라 MEMS용 기판으로 채용이 가능한 SOS (Silicon-on-Silicide) 기판을 제작하였다. 실리콘 기판 전면에 Ni를 열증착법으로 1000Å두께로 성막하고, 실리콘 기판 경면과 맞블여 후 300~900˚C온도범위에서 15시간동안 실리사이드 처리하여 니켈모노실리사이드가 접합매체로 되는 기판쌍들을 완성하였다. 완성된 기판쌍들은 IR (infrared) 카메라를 이용하여 비파괴적으로 접합상태를 확인하고. 주사전자현미경 (scaning electron microscope)과 투과전자현미경 (tranmission electron microscope)을 이용하여 수직단면 미세구조를 확인하였다. Ni 실리사이드의 상변화가 일어나는 온도를 제외하고는 Si NiSi ∥Si 기판쌍은 기판전면에 52%이상 완전접합이 진행되었음을 확인하였고 생성 실리사이드의 두께에 따라 나타나는 명암부에 비추어 기판쌍 중앙부에 두꺼운 니켈노실리아드가 형성되었다고 판단되었다. 완성된 Si NiSi ∥ Si 기판쌍을 SBM 수직단면에 의괘 확인한 결과 접합이 완성된 기판중심부의 접합계면은 1000Å 두께의 NiSi가 균일하게 형성되었으며 배율 30,000배의 해상도에서 계면간 분리부분없이 완전한 접합이 진행되었음을 확인하였다. 반면 기판쌍 에지 (edge)부분에는 실리사이드가 헝성되지 않은 비접합상태가 발견되었다. 수직단면루과전자현미경 결과물에 근거하여 접합된 중심부에서는 피접합되는 실리콘의 경면과 니켈이 성막된 실리콘 경면 상부계면에 10-20Å의 비정질막이 발견되었으며, 산화막으로 추정되는 이 막이 접합률을 현저히 저하시키는 것을 확인하였다. 접합이 진행되지 않은 에지부는 이러한 산화막이 열처리 진행중 급격히 성장하여 피접합 실리콘층의 분리가 발생하였다. 따라서 Si NiSi ∥Si 기판쌍의 접합률을 향상시키기 위해서는 피접합 실리콘 계면과 Ni 상부층간의 비정질부를 적극적으로 제거하여야 함을 알 수 있었다.

        절연 특성이 기존의 SiO2 보다 우수한 500 두께의 SiN4층을 두 단결정 실리콘사이의 절연막질로 채택하고 직접접합시켜 직경 10cm의 Si(100) /500 -Si3N4/Si (100) 기판쌍을 제조하였다. p-type (100) 실리콘기판을 친수성, 소수성을 갖도록 습식방법으로 세척한 두 그룹의 시편들을 준비하였다. 기판전면에 LPCVD로 500 Å 두께의 Si3N4∥Si(100) 기판을 성장시키고 실리론 기판과 고청정상태에서 가접시킨 후, 선형열원의 이동속도를 0.1mm/s로 고정시키고 선형 입열량을 400~1125w 범위에서 변화시키면서 직접접합을 실시하였다. 접합된 기판은 적외선 카메라로 계면 접합면적을 확인하고 razor blade creek opening 측정법으로 세정 방법에 따른 각 기판쌍 그들의 접합강도를 확인하였다. 접합강도가 측정된 기판쌍은 high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM )을 사용하여 수직단면 미세구조를 조사하였다. 입열량의 증가에 따라 두 그를 모두 접합율은 큰 유의차 없이 765% 정도로, 소수성 처리가 된 기판쌍의 접합강도는 1577mJ/m2가지 선형적으로 증가하였으나, 친수성 처리가 된 기판쌍은 주어진 실험 범위에서 입열량의 증가에 따라 큰 변화 없이 2000mj/m2이상의 접합 강도를 보였다 친수성 처리가 된 기판쌍의 수직단면 미세구조를 고분해능 투과전자현미경으로 각인한 결과 모든 시편의 실리콘과 Si3N4사이에 25 Å 정도의 SiO2 자연산화막이 존재하여 중간충 역할을 함으로서 기판접합강도를 향상시키는 것으로 판단되었다.

        Curcumin (C21H20O6) is a hydrophobic polyphenol found in turmeric. Although curcumin has been used as a natural medicine, its major limitation is related to poor absorption from the gut. Therefore, we developed a method for preparation of Curcumin Nanospheres (CN) to improve the aqueous-phase solubility of curcumin and investigate the functional role of CN in promoting feed efficiency and odor reduction in mice. CN showed inhibitory effects on actate dehydrogenase (LDH) cytotoxicity induced by ecotoxic substance toluene in gut epithelial HCT116 cells. In addition, the weights of internal organs (liver, heart, kidneys, and spleen) and the levels of serum Glutamate Oxaloacetate Transaminase (GOT), Glutamate Pyruvate Transaminase (GPT), and LDH did not show significant differences between mice administered oral CN for two weeks and compared to the control group. Interestingly, CN not only reduced hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and ammonia (NH3) levels and fecal odor, but also improved feed efficiency in mice. These results demonstrate that oral nano-delivery of anti-ecotoxicological CN is a functional system to deliver curcumin to the gut to improve feed efficiency and reduce fecal odor in mice.

        Background : Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a common allergic, inflammatory skin disease. Here, we focused on the anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory effects of Gardenia jasminoides Ellis fructus extracts (GFE) in DNCB treated NC/Nga mice. Methods and Results : In an in vivo study, GFE treatment significantly decreased immunoglobulin E (IgE) levels and cytokines expression in spleen and serum of treatment groups mice, compared with the negative controls (administered 0.2% DNCB only). Mice treated with GFE had fewer inflammatory cell infiltrates in the dermis and hypodermis compared to the negative controls. In addition, we also studied β-Hexosaminidase release assay and possible anti-inflammatory mechanism of GFE in RBL-2H3 cells. GFE suppressed the expression of COX-2 and TNF-α, the translocation of NF-κβ, and the phosphorylation of Syk, p38, JNK, and Erk1/2 in stimulated RBL-2H3 cells. Conclusion : These results strongly suggest that GFE inhibits the allergic response by reducing mast cell activation and may have therapeutic potential as an anti-atopic dermatitis agent.

        Background : The aloe has been reported to have significant therapeutic effects, such as inhibition of cancer cells' activation and proliferation as well as anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, and anti-oxidation properties. However, the phytochemicals analysis and antioxidant activity of the Aloe vera flower extracts have not been widely investigated. In this regard, we investigated the phytochemical profiles and antioxidant activity of ethanol extracts of the Aloe barbadensis flower in hydrogen peroxide-treated BALB/c mice. Methods and Results : This research highlights the phenolic constituents' profile and antioxidant activity of 70% ethanol extracts of Aloe vera flower for the first time. The ethanol-based extracts showed the inhibition for linoleic acid oxidation and free radical-induced DNA damage. Among about 11 phenolic constituents of the extract, identified by using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), the content of vanillic acid was highest, corresponding to strong antioxidant activities of the extract. The extracts elevated superoxide dismutase, catalase, and glutathione peroxidase enzymes activities in the liver tissue of hydrogen peroxide-treated BALB/c mice. The radical-scavenging activities of the extracts were well-correlated to the total phenolic content. Conclusion : In conclusion, Aloe bardadensis flower might be an effective source of natural antioxidant with high level of phenolic constituents.
