        This paper describes the amount of food consumption and the change of total weight of abalone under a vibration with noise that can be occurred due to piling work. This experiment was conducted in the aquarium in Yosu National University. In normal situation the juvenile stage shell`s(total length is 1~1.5cm) amount of food consumption was 0.81g, the middle stage shell(total length is 3~3.5cm) was 13.61g, and the adult stage shell (Total length is 7~7.5cm) was 43.19g per 5 organisms in 24 hours, while the experimental group was observed low numerical value compared normal groups. The abalones' food consumption and total weight in both groups, the intermittent and continuance impact with noise and vibration, was reduced during this experiment. The abalones' food consumption and total weight in the experimental groups without vibration were recorded slightly high numerical value than the experimental groups with noise and vibration. Based on this experimental data we could conjecture the noise and vibration are harmful factors to bring up a physiological stress to abalones. Especially, the vibration impact by piling works could produce a considerably unfavorable effect to the abalones than noise impact.

        Sorbents of calcined limestone and oyster particles having a diameter of about 0.63㎜ were exposed to simulated fuel gases containing 5000ppm H2S for temperatures ranging from 600 to 800℃ in a TGA (Thermalgravimetric analyzer). The reaction between CaO and H2S proceeds via an unreacted shrinking core mechanism. The sulfidation rate is likely to be controlled primarily by countercurrent diffusion through the product layer of calcium sulfde(CaS) formed. The kinetics of the sorption of H2S by CaO is sensitive to the reaction temperature and particle size, and the reaction rate of oyster was faster than the calcined limestone.

        Authers Investigated the particulate size distribution in work environment of Banwol and Changwon industry complex. Size distributions of particles exposured to workers in welding and in grounding process were evaluated by personal cascade impactors. Personal air samplers with personal cascade impactor were attached to the workers. The mass median diameter measured in welding sites were 0.3 to 3.8μm and in grinding sites were 1.5 to 2.6μm. Respirable matter fractions were ranged 32.67 to 65.05%. Respirable matter fractions were calculated from the size distribution data by the respirable particle mass of the ACGIH criteria. The study relating to characteristics of particle of other industries and particulate size distribution is more needed in the near future.
