        The purpose of this study was to experimentally evaluate seismic performance of connection of modular system. As a result of experiment study, two specimens did not show the strength reduction and brittle fracture at connection until 2% story drift. Thus, requirements for intermediate moment frame(IMF) was satisfied in two specimens.

        Analysis studies were carried out on asymmetric column to beam connections of steel plate rolled forming steel-PC composite modules. The main variables of analysis are asymmetric column composite or non-composite, thickness of steel plate and reinforcement or not. As a result of the analysis, the strength of the local buckling decreased from the upper flange of the beam. The connections are improved so that the upper flange surface of the beam has both the moment and horizontal shear resistance elements. As a result of the analysis of reinforced connection, the strength and stiffness increased linearly regardless of the column composition and the thickness of the stiffener. The stability of the connection and the possibility of securing the momentum were confirmed. This result is reflected in the experimental plan of the connection.

        In the KEPIC-SNG, the domestic technical standard of the SC structure, the condition that the baseplate supporting the reinforcing bars is not bonded to the surface plate is suggested. However, if the baseplate is bonded only to the wingplate, all of the rebar loads generated on the baseplate will be transferred to the wingplate. The wingplate is expected to be conservatively designed in spacing and thickness to support the rebar load. In this study, the finite element analysis was carried out according to bonding conditions between surface plate and baseplate. As a result, it was confirmed that the overall structural strength was increased when the baseplate and the surface plate were bonded. Based on this result, it is possible to propose an economical design for the RC-SC connection such as increasing the wingplate spacing.

        모듈러 시스템은 하중저항 방식에 따라 개방형 모듈러 및 폐쇄형 모듈러 분류가 된다. 그 중 개방형 모듈러는 폐쇄형 단면을 갖고 있어 부재간의 접합 및 모듈간의 접합을 하는데 제약이 있다. 이에 Choi et al.(2017)은 절골형 단면 안에 콘크리트를 채운 합성 모듈러 시스템을 제안하였다. 하지만 모듈간 접합을 강접으로 가정하여 접합부 거동에 의해 구조물 전체에 미치는 영향을 파악하지 못하였다. 본 연구에서는 유한요소해석을 하여 제안된 모듈러의 접합부 강성을 산정하였다. 성능 검증을 위해 FEMA 440의 선형화방법을 사용하여 접합부 강성 유, 무에 따른 구조물의 내진성능을 파악하였다. 해석결과에 따르면 접합부 강성을 고려한 모델의 보유 내력 및 층간변위비가 접합부 강성을 고려하지 않은 모델에 비해 현저하게 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 토대로 접합부의 강성이 전체 구조물 거동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 판단된다.

        본 연구는 인공신경망을 이용해 철골모멘트골조의 접합부 손상을 예측하는 기법을 제안한다. 인공신경망의 입력층에는 기둥 부재 의 휨모멘트, 고유진동수, 모드형상 정보가 사용되며, 출력층에는 구조물 접합부의 회전강성 손상지표가 사용한다. 손상지표는 각 접합부의 손 상정도를 의미한다. 5층 철골모멘트골조 예제의 수치해석을 통해 훈련 및 검증용 데이터를 생성한다. 총 829가지의 손상 시나리오가 고려된다. 시뮬레이션은 OpenSees를 이용해 반복 실행하여 데이터를 얻도록 하였으며, 훈련용 데이터를 생성할 때 회전 강성의 손상은 1.0, 0.75, 0.5 등 세 가지 중 하나의 값을 가지도록 하였다. 예제 검증을 통해 제시하는 기법은 손상 위치 및 수준을 정확하게 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 제시하는 기법은 손상지표, 1차, 2차 고유진동수 및 모드형상 등에 대해 매우 유사한 결과를 제시하는 것으로 확인되었다.

        오스테나이트계 스테인리스강은 우수한 내식성, 내구성 및 내화성을 지닌다. 특히, 오스테나이트계 스테인리스강중의 대표인 STS304에 비해 저탄소를 함유하고 있는 STS304L은 현장용접 후 별도의 열처리 없이 높은 내입계부식성능을 지니고 있어 용접후 내입계 부식이 우려되는 부재접합에 적용할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 티그(TIG)용접으로 필릿 용접된 STS304L 용접접합부의 용접재(용착금속부) 내력과 파단 메카니즘을 조사하고자 한다. 주요변수인 하중방향에 대한 용접선의 배치에 따라 TFW(하중직각방향 용접), LFW(하중방향용접), FW (하중방향용접과 하중직각방향 용접조합)시리즈의 실험체를 제작하여 인장실험을 실시하였고, 각각 인장파단,전단파단, 블록전단파단(인장 파단과 전단파단의 조합)이 발생하였다. 동일 용접길이에 대해 TFW 시리즈의 접합부가 가장 높은 내력을 나타났으며, 현행기준식( KBC2016/AISC2010)과 기존 연구자의 식에 의한 예측내력과 비교한 결과, TFW와 LFW접합부는 과소평가되었고 FW실험체는 과대평가되었다 .실제 파단 위험단면과 블록전단파단 메카니즘을 고려한 내력식을 제안하였다.

        This study focused on the ultimate behaviors(ultimate strength and fracture mode ) of single shear bolted connection with austenitic sainless steel(STS201) and curling effect on the ultimate strength using finite element analysis based on test results. Main variables are end distance in the parallel direction to loading and edge distance in the perpendicular direction to loading. The validation of finite element analysis procedures was verified through the comparisons of ultimate strength, fracture mode and curling(out-of-plane deformation) occurrence between test results and numerical predictions. Curling was observed in both test and analysis results and it reduced the ultimate strength of single- shear bolted connections with relatively long end distances. Strength reduction ratios caused by curling were estimated quantitatively by maximum 19%, 32%, respectively for specimens with edge distance, 48 mm and 60 mm compared with strengths of uncurled connections with restrained out-of-plane deformation. Finally, analysis strengths were compared with current design strengths and it is found that design block shear equations did not provide the accurate predictions for bolted connections with strength reduction by curling.

        The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of steel fiber reinforced concrete on structural performance when applied to joints. For this purpose, the development length was designed not to satisfy the concrete structure criterion. Experimental results show that the maximum strength of steel fiber reinforced concrete increases by about 12% in the direction of the settling force. Also, due to the increase of the tensile strength of the concrete, the strength of the cracks increased by 33% in the positive direction.

        The purpose of this research is to develop a joint system for two concrete pipes with reduced wall thickness by a carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) fabric. As compared to conventional concrete pipe, the concrete pipe with the reduced wall thickness has more flexibility. However, the reduced wall thickness makes the conventional joint system not feasible. As an alternative joint, externally wrapping system with the CFRP fabric was proposed. The two CFRP widths (75mm and 150mm) were accounted for as a variable under joint shear test from ASTM C497M specification. The externally wrapping system showed 81.07% higher shear strength, as compared to the required shear strength by ASTM C497M.

        In this paper, block shear fracture behavior in base metal of fillet-welded connection fabricated with duplex stainless steel (STS329FLD) were investigated through experimental procedures. Main variables are weld lengths in the longitudinal and the transverse directions of applied force. As a result, test specimens failed by typical block shear facture (the combination of tensile fracture and shear-out fracture) in base metal not weld metal. Ultimate strength of the specimens tended to get higher with the increase of the weld lengths.

        Recently, the use of duplex stainless steel which has a two-phase microstructure consisting of grains of ferritic and austenitic stainless steel has been increased in a variety of industrial fields. Especially, STS329FLD with lower nickel content and higher yield strength compared with austenitic stainless steel has been developed. In this paper, experiments have been conducted to investigate the structural behaviors of single shear duplex stainless steel(STS329FLD) bolted connection with four bolts. Specimens with relatively long end distance failed by block shear fracture accompanied with curling (out-of-plane deformation) and the curling reduced the ultimate strength.

        In this study, experiment and analysis of high-strength bolt connection under shear fatigue loading was conducted to evaluate reduction of axial force of bolt. Three type of bolt size and initial axial force were applied to specimens.         When reinforcing an existing reinforced concrete beam-column building with a precast concrete panel, special connection between the PC member and the RC member is required to solve the time dependent deformation of the RC member and to receive the large shear forces. The aim of this study is to obtain the shear strength of upper connection between the existing RC beam-column and infilled PC wall panels in experimentally and theoretically. Thus, the static shear loading tests were conducted on the 6 specimens with the plate connection. Shear failure was resulted from the weakest portion of interior PC panel, exterior RC, and the connection, when the PC portion which located at the center of specimen was pulled upward from the bottom. The experimental result was compared with analytical result from ACI 318M-14 Chapter 17 for the shear strength of post-installed anchor and PCI Handbook 7th edition 6.8 Structural Steel Corbel (PCI Design Handbook 7th edition, 2010) for the strength of cast-in H-beam. The analytical and experimental results show final failure at the same location. The failure loading of experiment showed larger than average 6% to that of the analysis.

        A finite element analysis modeling is proposed to evaluate welding joint part of steel-frame. Based on the experimental results, A finite element analysis model was proposed to analyze the welding joint of steel-frame specimens. The numerical results predicted the experimental behavior of the welding joint of steel-frame specimens well. Therefore, it is possible to use the proposed finite element analysis model to evaluate middleand low-rise steel-frame buildings constructed in South Korea.

Three story and one bay steel moment frame is used as the example structure.
