This paper reviewed the relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction, and the moderating effect of gender. Based on the responses from 807 customers who encountered employees in telecommunication industry, the results of multiple regressional analysis showed that all service quality factors have positive relationships with customer satisfaction. The results of moderating analysis showed that only empathy and tangibility have positive interactive-effects on customer satisfaction with gender. With increasing of empathy and tangibility, female customers have been more satisfied than male customers.

Throughout her plays, Christina Reid explores the lives of women in Belfast and successfully offers a bold interrogation of other facets of Belfast history from a Protestant women’s perspective. Reid’s examination of the politics, entrenched in the private and public lives of Northern Irish women, is the central focus of The Belle of the Belfast City. In the play, the current political unrest in Northern Ireland is set in relation to sexual and racial minorities, which in turn, are enforced by the misogyny embedded in sectarian violence and religious dogmatism. Far from simplifying these questions, Reid takes extra care to show how the familial, social and political facets are all connected to the perpetuation of the prejudice surrounding idea of the Other and the nation. In addition to this, this play also combines the experience of exile in relationship to gender and sectarian violence through the stories of Belle, Dolly’s half-black granddaughter. As a narrator and inheritor of the matrilineal heritage, Belle by her existence raises questions about the national and racial categorizations of politics. In this play, while male authority uses the female body to marginalize and exploit it, Reid successfully turns the victimized female body into a site of resistance and subversion of that authority. In addition to the family photographs, the songs and dances that are performed through the medium of the female body are unmistakably subversive. While the female voice and body within Jack’s idea of nation are objects of repression and silence, however, the women’s bodies and voices are freed and released in the ritual of female bonding that celebrates the subversive potential of the feminine body. With these theatrical devices, Reid carefully depicts and subverts the portraits of women whose roles and images have been imagined in the discourse of conflict-ridden Belfast.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship of periodontal disease to self-reported history of stroke in the elderly(60 years of age and older) with a special emphasis on elderly women. Data from the Third National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey(NHANES III), a large population-based cross-sectional survey of the United States, were utilized for this study. Since we have 1,563 edentulous subjects from a total of 5,123 subjects and periodontal disease is a major cause of tooth loss, it was necessary to account for this in our statistical analysis. Hence, we developed a new index called the Periodontal Health Status(PHS) index. In the logistic regression models with stratification by gender, males did not show statistically significant relationship between Periodontal Health Status(PHS) and stroke history. In contrast, females showed some marginal association between Periodontal Health Status(PHS) and stroke history. Further longitudinal intervention studies need to be conducted to determine the temporal relationship between periodontal disease and stroke

Since IMF system was introduced once, downsizing has been usual phenomenon in business sphere. Downsizing influences the unemployed, and also the survivors such as in job stress, communication bias, lower organizational commitment and so on. This paper reviewed the relationship between organizational commitment and service quality, and the moderating effect of sex in hotel. Based on the responses from 494 hotel employees, the results of multiple regressional analysis showed that affective OC and normative OC have affirmative effects on service quality. The results of moderating analysis showed that continuance OC has an affirmative interactive-effect on responsiveness, assurance, and empathy with gender, and affective OC an negative interactive-effect on assurance.

EWMA관리도는 SPC 기술 중 가피원인을 탐지하는 기술이 최근품질특성에 가중치가 주어져 미래를 예측하는 능력이 우수하다. EWMA관리도와 EPC의 통합은 연속공정산업에서 성공적으로 사용되고 있다고 널리 인식되어 있다. 그러나, 이산적인 부품 제조공정의 탐지와 연속 생산공정 산업과 그중에서도 제조공정 산업에서의 이들 기법을 적용하기 위해서는 샘플링비율, 고장감지, 실시간 보정과 공정통제에 관한 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 SPC와 EPC의 차이를 비교분석하고, 제조공정 산업에서 EWMA와 EPC를 성공적으로 통합하여 제품품질특성에 적용하여 변동을 감소시키는 사례연구를 제시하고자 한다.

본 연구에서는 향기섬유제품에 대한 향기감성반응이 제품에 대한 태도와 구매의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구모형을 제시하고 530명의 소비자를 대상으로 온라인 설문을 실시하여 연구모형에 대한 성별비교를 하였다. 연구결과에서 제시된 연구모형은 남녀 간에 유의한 차이를 보였다. 여성의 경우 향기섬유제품에 대한 태도에 영향을 미치는 감성반응은 유쾌성, 자극성, 친숙성, 적합성으로 나타났으며, 남성의 경우 유쾌성만이 태도에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 또한 남녀모두에서 향기의 유쾌성이 향기섬유제품에 있어 가장 중요한 요인이었으며 남성은 향기섬유제품에 대하여 더 높은 구매의도를 보였다.

The purpose of this study was to measure the pizza purchasing behavioral characteristics of respondents and importances of factors affecting pizza purchase, to estimate the effects of attributes on pizza restaurant choice, and to predict probability of selecting a particular pizza restaurant. The questionnaire consisted of two parts: The paired experimental profiles, purchasing behavior and importances of factors affecting pizza purchase. This study generated profiles of 16 hypothetical pizza restaurant based on the seven attributes. The profiles comprised 16 discrete sets of variables, each of which had two levels. For this study, researcher randomly selected 150 students of university as respondents. Twenty students did not complete the survey instrument, resulting in a final sample size of 129. All estimations were carried out using frequencies, 2, independent samples t-test, phreg procedure of SAS package. The results are as follows. Some purchasing behavioral characteristics and importances of factors affecting pizza purchase were significantly different by gender. Based on the estimated models developed for male student group and female student group, the Chi-square statistics were significant at p〈0.001. The parameter estimate for late delivery time with male student group was highest, and the parameter estimate for price with female student group was highest. The pizza restaurant that charged \20,000, offered 100% discount on eleventh pizza, promised to deliver pizza in 40 mins, usually delivered the pizza as promised time, offered only 1 type of pizza crust, delivered warm pizza, offered the money-back guarantee was favored by each of male student group and female student group. The results from this study suggested that there was an opportunity to increase market share and profit by improving operations so that customers receive discount and money-back guarantee simultaneously, and by reducing price, delivery time.

As a contemporary Northern Irish, Anne Devlin questions the traumatic experience and memory in personal and national histories of Northern Ireland. The Troubles-ridden landscape of Northern Ireland turns into a dramatic site in which Anne Devlin’s heroines negotiate their quests for voice and visibility. In her first play, Ourselves Alone (1985), Devlin foregrounds the experiences of women who are excluded from the public and secluded within their domestic realm. Three young women, Frieda, Josie and Donna, struggle against the isolation and the violence that permeate their daily lives. What is common to these three women is that their lives are constructed, controlled, and represented by the men around them. Their personal identities are constantly wiped out by the communal identities. Whether they are career women, political activists, or housewives, there is always a boundary that limits their sphere of action. Furthermore, the idea of home becomes a metaphor for their nation. Far from being a domestic haven, their homes are constantly disrupted by external violence in war-torn Belfast and their homes turn into an experimental site where men’s national ideology is tried and approved. Here, the male patriarch or father figure comes armed with a specific political and national stance and the home becomes a microcosm of the nation. Women are expected to live up to a national ideal in which their primary function is to reproduce the members of the collectives while their home is under constant patriarchal surveillance. This essay focuses on questions of home, gender and nation and asks how the seemingly most private sphere of home has come to be intersected with the public sphere of the nation and, also, how women’s roles are imagined and perpetuated within the frame of national ideology.

The purpose of this study was to determine whether gender differences existed in knee valgus kinematics in college students when performing a vertical drop landing. The hypothesis of this study was that females would demonstrate greater knee valgus motion. These differences in knee valgus motion may be indicative of decreased dynamic knee joint control in females. This study compared the initial knee valgus angle and maximum knee valgus angle at the instant of impact on vertical drop landings between healthy men and women. In this study, 60 participants (30 males, 30 females) dropped from a height of 43 cm. A digital camera and two-dimensional video motion analysis software were used to analyze the kinematic data. There was significant difference in the mean knee valgus angle at initial contact landing between the two groups (Mean=, SD= in males, Mean=, SD= in females). The range of knee valgus angle on landing (Mean=, SD= in males, Mean=, SD= in females) was differed significantly (p<.05). The maximal angle of knee valgus on landing (Mean=, SD= in males, Mean=, SD= in females) was also differed significantly (p<.05). The females landed with a larger range of knee valgus motion than the males and this might have increased the likelihood of a knee injury. The absence of dynamic knee joint stability may be responsible for increased rates of knee injury in females. No method for accurate and practical screening and identification of athletes at increased risk of ACL injury is currently available to target those individuals that would benefit from neuromuscular training before sports participation.

The kinematics involved in different landing strategies may be related to the occurrence of trauma. Several sources suggest that the angle of knee extension on touchdown and impact with the ground determines the magnitude of the impact force and, indirectly, knee loading. This study compared the initial knee angle and maximum knee flexion angle at the instant of impact on drop-landings between healthy men and women. In this study, 60 participants (30 males, 30 females) dropped from a height of 43 cm. A digital camera and video motion analysis software were used to analyze the kinematic data. When landing, there was significant difference between the two groups ( in male, in female) in the mean knee flexion angle. The range of knee flexion on landing ( in male, in female) also differed significantly (p<.05). The greater knee flexion that was observed in the male subjects would be expected to decrease their risk of injury. Women land with smaller range of knee flexion than men and this might increase the likelihood of a knee injury.

여성범죄자 고유의 특성과 욕구, 강점, 및 문제점에 기인하여 기존 남성중심의 교정처우와는 다른 성별 중심의 교정 프로그램 개발이 필요하다. 여성과 남성의 차이점을 학습과정, 관계형성 방식, 범죄경로, 생활여건 측면에서 비교하면 여성범죄자를 위한 성-적합 교정 프로그램은 특히 타인 및 가족과의 관계형성이 지속적으로 유지되는 지역사회 교정 측면에서 더욱 중요하다 하겠다. 본 논문은 지역사회에서 보호관찰을 받고 있는 여성범죄자 149명의 특성을 분석하여 이들에 대한 성-적합 교정모형을 위한 기본원리를 제시하려는 의도로 진행되었다. 전체 여성범죄자를 10대 청소년집단과 사기ㆍ횡령집단, 폭력집단, 절도집단 네 그룹으로 구분하여 프로파일한 결과 연령과 범죄유형에 따라 가출, 약물, 흡연, 거주지, 경제상황 등의 변수가 집단에 따라 서로 다른 것으로 나타났다. 성-적합 교정모형 개발은 기본이념과 안전성(safety), 관계성(connection), 강점(empowerment)을 강조하는 환경여건, 그리고 인지ㆍ정서ㆍ행동 변화를 필요로 하는 운영기준, 성-적합 교정모형에 적합한 개별 평가 항목이 요구되는 것으로 나타났다. 일반화된 성-적합 교정모형원리에 근거하여 지역사회 교정 분야는 물론 향후 수강명령과 사회봉사명령과 같은 세부집행 프로그램에서도 다양한 성-적합 교정 프로그램이 지속적으로 개발, 평가, 연구되어야 할 것이다.
