An experiment was conducted to examine the effects of aromatic flowering plant fragrance on concentration and emotional stability of middle school students' studies. The students of three classes from Y and C Middle School located in Seoul and Ansan, were selected for the experiment for one month. Each class was classified to the control group, the oriental lily group and complex group, respectively. The students of complex group was treated with a different flowering plant each week. After a month, the oriental lily group was rose in their scores of concentration on studies. Furthermore, most students contacted with aromatic flowering plants applied their school life was pleasant or that they got interest in flowers. Its results were an evidence of positive effects on students' emotion. A test of electroencephalogram(EEG) also indicated an increase of α-wave which was thought to be related with power of concentration and creative thinking.

Interannual and decadal scale changes in body size of Pacific saury, catch and catch per unit effort were examined to investigate the environmental effects on the stock structure and abundance in the Tsushima Warm Current region. Interannual changes in thermal conditions are responsible for the different occurrence (catch) rates of sized group of the fish. Changes in body size due to environmental variables lead the stock to be homogeneous during the period of high abundance, while one of the reminder cohorts supports the stock during the period of low level of abundance. Migration circuits of two cohorts of saury stock are hypothesized on the basis of short life span and spatio-temporal changes of the stock structure in normal environmental conditions. Changes in upper ocean structure and production cycles by the decadal scale climate changes lead changes in stock structure and recruitment, resulting in the fluctuation of saury abundance. Hypothesized mechanism of the effects of climate changes on stock structure and abundance is illustrated on the basis of changes in thermal regime and production cycle.

A case of air pollution study of estimation of emission rate for source to railroad rolling stock and emissive character about is unusual. Recent emission rate of railroad rolling stock was estimated with emission factor of EPA in three region(Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggido). But this EPA factor could be incorrect because Korea and America have a different railroad environment in the variety of fuel and character of railroad rolling stock. In this study, emission rate of each line, car and region(district) with emission factor of Korean case(National Railroad Administration, 1997) was estimated. In Busan Metropolitan City, railroad rolling stocks were divided accoding to, each line, car and service. Particularly, the idle fuel rate omitted in the preceding study was included in calculation fuel rate. Total emission rate of Busan Metropolitan City was 887.41t/year. Each emission rates of Kyeongbu line, Donghaenambu line, Gaya line, Uam line, Bujeon line, and idle was 489.15t, 196.46t, 33.94t, 12.66t, 6.47t, and 148.72t, respectively.

1. 소양댐의 수질을 조사, 분석하여 일본 주산지인 정강(靜岡)과 비교한 결과 pH는 비슷하고, 전기 전도도는 0.03~0.2mmho/cm 안에 들어 재배에 적당한 조건이었다. 2. 소양댐 용수의 용존성분중 질소, 인산은 일본보다 약간 높고, K는 낮았다. 황은 높은 수준이었고, Mg는 매우 낮았다. 3. 분주묘의 초장 변화는 대묘에서는 이중 sigmoid, 중묘, 소묘는 S형 생장을 하였다. 4. 분주묘의 근경중 분포에서 40g이상의 개체는 대묘는 87%, 중묘는 80%, 소묘는 54%의 분포를 보였고, 상품 근경중은 대묘 723kg/10a, 중묘 639kg/10a 이었다. 5. 실생묘의 묘 크기별 초장 변화 곡선은 묘 크기에 상관없이 S형 생장을 나타냈다. 6. 실생묘의 묘 크기별 상품율은 대묘 60%, 중묘 13%, 소묘 20%, 상품근경중은 대묘 395kg/10a, 중묘 102kg, 소묘 160kg 이었다. 7. 고추냉이 주요 형질간 상관관계에서 초장은 엽병장, 엽장, 엽폭, 엽병중과 엽폭은 엽중, 엽병중과 정의 상관관계를, 근경중은 주경엽수, 근경장, 근경폭, 엽중, 총중량과 고도의 정의 상관관계를 보였고, 엽병중, 총근경중과도 유의성 있는 상관을 보였다.
