This study was carried out to evaluate the effects of glucose and sodium phosphate on in vitro development of porcine oocytes matured and fertilized in vitro. When the culture medium was supplemented with various concentrations of glucose, the higher proportions (23 and 26%) of oocytes developed to morular or blastocyst stages were at the concentrations of 2.78 and 5.56 mM than 0 (9%; P<0.05) and 11.12 mM (18%). In experiment to evaluate effect of sodium phosphate during in vitro development of porcine oocytes, a significantly (P<0.05) higher proportions of embryos developed to morular or blastocyst stages was obtained with sodium phosphateof 0.28 (25%) and 0.53 (27%) mM than 0 (15%), 1.05 (19%) and 2.10 (10%) mM. On the other hand, when oocytes were cultured in medium with (0.53 mM) sodium phosphate, the proportions of developed embryos were significantly (P<0.05) higher in medium without (29%) that than with (14%) 5.56 mM glucose. However, a higher proportion of embryos developed to morular or blastocyst stages were obtained in medium with (23%) that than without (8%) glucose (P<0.05). The minimum essential medium (MEM) added to the culture medium were higher regardless of presence of sodium phosphate and glucose on the development of embryos. Although sodium phosphate and glucose could support morular and blastocyst development to a limited extend (10∼24%), significantly higher proportion (36%) at morular or blastocyst stages was obtained by MEM adding in the medium with sodium phosphate and glucose. These results suggest that the early development of in vitro fertilized porcine oocytes can be maintained efficiently by glucose and sodium phosphate when they were cultured in medium with MEM.
본 연구는 돼지의 난포란을 체외에서 성숙, 수정시킨 체외수정란의 체외배양 체계를 확립하고 그 기작을 규명하기 위하여 체외배양액에 항산화제인 melatonin의 첨가 및 melatonin과 sodium nitroprusside(SNP)의 첨가배양이 체외수정란의 체외발육에 미치는 영향을 검토하고자 실시하였다. NCSU 23 배양액에 melatonin을 0, 1, 5 및 10nM을 첨가하여 체외배양을 실시한 결과, 배반포기까지 발육율은 17.8%, 26.1%, 20.0% 및 16.3%로서 melatonin 1nM 첨가구가 여타구에 비해 통계적으로 유의하게 높은 성적을 나타냈으며(P<0.05), 상실배기 이상 발육 성적에서도 melatonin 1 nM 첨가구가 39.1%로서 대조구 33.3%, 5 nM 첨가구의 33.3% 및 10 nM 첨가구의 27.9%보다 높은 발육율을 나타냈다(P<0.05). NCSU 23 배양액에 SNP를 0, 50 및 100 μM을 첨가하여 체외 배양한 결과, 상실배 이상 발육성적은 각각 41.9%, 25.6% 및 28.4%로서 SNP 첨가구가 대조구보다 유의적으로 낮은 성적을 나타내었다(P<0.05). NCSU 23 배양액에 대조구, SNP 50 μM, SNP 50 μM에 melatonin 1, 5 및 10nM을 혼합첨가하여 체외 발육율을 조사한 결과, 배반포기 발육율은 각각 2.5%, 1.2%, 9.9%, 5.1% 및 3.7%로서 SNP 50μM + Mel. 1nM 첨가구가 여타구 보다 높은 성적을 나타냈으며, 상실배기 이상 체외 발육율은 31.3%, 34.1%, 39.5%, 29.4% 및 39.5%로서 SNP 50μM + Mel. 1 nM 첨가구와 SNP 50 μM + Mel. 10 nM 첨가구가 여타구보다 높은 발육율을 나타냈다. 모든 처리구에서 배반포까지 발육된 체외수정란의 세포수는 커다란 차이가 인정되지 않았다.
본 연구는 토양에의 고농도 Na 및 Cl 염류처리가 토마토의 생육과 무기성분 흡수, 광합성 속도 및 수분 포텐셜에 미치는 효과를 검토코자 수행되었다. 초장, 생체중, 건물중 등 생육은 대조구에 비해 모든 염 처리구에서 억제되었으나, 토양의 pH와 EC와는 관계가 없었다. 토마토의 생육억제 효과는 Na계열에서는 Cl, SO4, CO3, PO4, NO3 순으로, 그리고 Cl 계열에서는 Na, K, Mg, NH4, Ca순으로 컸으며, Na 계열이 Cl 계열보다 컸다. 토마토의 수량은 대조구보다 모든 염 처리구에서 30%~10%적었으며,특히 NaCl처리구에서 더욱 적었다. 엽록소 함량, 광합성 속도, 기공전도도는 대조구에 비해 염 처리구에서 낮았다. 무기양분 함량은 대조구보다 모든 염류에서 낮았다. N 함량은 NaNO3, NH4Cl 및 대조구가 11% 내외로 가장 높았으나 Na 계열에서는 NaCl 및 NaHCO3 처리구가, Cl 계열에서는 KCI 처리구가 5.5~6.0% 내외로 낮았다. K 함량은 Cl 계열보다 Na 계열이 적었으며, 특히 NaCl과 Na2SO4 처리구에서 더욱 낮았다. Mg 및 Ca 함량은 대조구보다 낮았으며, NaCl과 KCl 처리에서 매우 낮아 Na 및 K 이온과 상당한 길항관계를 보였다 전반적으로 각 이온의 흡수는 KCl및 NaCl처리구에서 가장 낮은 경향이었다.
Recently, there has been considerably interested in the development to new functional gemini type anionic surfactant, sodium bis-n-alkyl sulfonatosuccinate, had been synthesized through the addition reaction of sodium bisulfite to bis-n-alkyl maleate, in which water was azeotropically distilled by adding benzene to the reaction system, gave a good yield. All the surface activities including krafft point, surface tension, emulsion power and foaming were measure and cmc was evaluated in dilute solution. This results showed a lower ability in 27~30dyne/cm than single-chain surfactant with 32~35dyne/cm to surface tension. Also its cmc value much smaller in (6.5~10)×10-4mcal/l than single-chain surfactant with (40~45)×10-4mcal/l concentration. In foaming ability and foam stability of gemini surfactant had especially a good ability in approximately 100~150ml, and in emulsing power they exhibited a good emulsing phase and stability, and Krafft points were 0~10℃.
These N-acyl amino acid surfactants is normally produced by reaction of acid anhydride with sodium l-glutamate hydrolysates under Schotten-Baumann condition i.e., in alkaline aqueous medium. To avoid using fatty acid chlorides, acylations were also carried out with the fatty acids themselves or with their methyl esters, but unfortunately these methods cannot be used in practice, dodecenyl succinic anhydride, was to be studied for their suitability as acylating agents the production if acylated glutamine hydrolysates. The surface activities including surface tension forming power, forming stability and emulsifying power were measured. The experimental results revealed that the products have a good emulsifying power. Thus, there derivatives will be expected to be used an emulsifying agent for O/W type cosmetic emulsion.
Allylaliphatic carboxylate oligomers were prepared from polymerization giving allyl aliphatic carboxylates in the presence of potassium persulfate in methanol and the α-sulfonation of these allyl aliphatic carboxylates oligomers were carried by direct addition of dry sulfur trioxide. The dispersing performance of oligomer type anionic surfactants and SDS in the aqueous suspension of Fe2O3 and Tio2 particles were evaluated by particle size distribution and ξ-potential measurement. As results, the particles of Fe2O3 and Tio2 were flocculated by addition of small amount of oligomer type anionic surfactants and SDS, then the flocks redispersed by more addition oligomer type anionic surfactants and SDS. The dispersion and flocculation were observed in lower concentration range of oligomer type anionic surfactants than SDS.

the present study was carried out to develop a completely defined culture system and determine if high NaCl concentrations in defined (PVA added) or semi-defined (BSA added) medium is toxic to bovine embryos. Oocytes from slaughterhouse ovaries were matured and fertilized in vitro. After 30 h of insemination, only 2-cell stage embryos were selected and cultured for this experiment. The culture media used were as follows : TLP(114 mM of NaCl) + BSA (3 mg/ml), TLP + PVA (1 mg/ml), mTLP(96 mM of NaCl) + BSA, mTLP + PVA. Six to ten embryos were placed into a 301 drop of each medium and the embryos were examined at 10 day post-insemination without medium renewal. The experiment was replicated 4 times. All data were analyzed by chi-square. There were no significant differences among TLP-BSA, mTLP-BSA and mTLP-PVA in blastocyst development (21.6, 17.2 and 20.2%), respectively. Also, no differences were obtained in hatching rates (11.7, 9.9 and 12.2%), respecitively. However, there were significant differences between TLP-PVA (1.7% and 0.6%) and other group in blastocyst formation and hatching rates, respectively (p<0.01). Development of in vitro produced embryos cultured in BSA containing medium was not affected by high NaCl concentration, but in the completely defined medium, embryonic development was highly affected by NaCl. This study shows that reduced NaCl concentration in completely defined medium is beneficial for development of bovine pre-implantation embryos in vitro.
Surface tension as a function of concentration and temperature was measured for aquous solution of sodium N-acyl sarcosinate, RCON(CH3)CH2 COONa, From the intersection points in the (γ-logC) curves, the critical micelle concentration (cmc) was determined at 20, 30, 40, and 50℃. Structural effects on the cmc maximum and the minimum area per molecule at the aquous solution/air interface were discussed. The free energy, enthalpy, and entropy of micellization and adsorption of surfactant solution also were investigated. Numberous investigators have dealt with sodium N-acyl sarcosinates and their applications as wettings, flooding and reducing agents and as corrosion inhibitors.
Physical properties and performance characteristics of sodium salt of several pure N-acyl amino acids made from glycine, dl-alanine, sarcosine, dl-valine, l-leucine, l-aspartic acid and l-lysine seven long chain fatty acids are reported. The effect of acyl chain length and the differences in the structure of constituent amino acid of seven homologous series of amide intermediate linked carboxylate surfactant of this class on the properties are discussed.
This study was carried out to determine the contents of sodium saccharin, sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate in danmooji, jangachi, puffed cereal, mixed beverages, carbonated beverages, fruit and vegertable juices (excepted unheated fruit and vegertable juices) and dried fishery products(seasoned) in the market. Sodium saccharin, sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate were analyzed by HPLC at the wavelength of 215 nm with 0.05% ammonium phosphate dibasic acetonitril mobil phase(94 : 6), and recovery rates were 96.2-100.3%, 95.8-100.9%, 96.1-99.8%, respectively. The contents of sodium saccharin were N.D.-1234.8 mg/kg in danmoogi, jangachi, puffed cereal and mixed beverages and sodium benzoate in mixed beverages, carbonated beverages, fruit and vegertable juices were N.D.-663.2 mg/kg, and potassium sorbate in danmooji, jangachi and dried fishery products were N.D.-2725.2 mg/kg.
