        본 연구는 식중독을 일으키는 병원성 미생물들은 식품시료와 교차오염 원인의 지표가 될 수 있는 도마에 접종한 후 오존수와 일반 수돗물을 이용하여 세척한 후 미생물의 변화와 세척방법에 따른미생물의 변화를 각각 비교 관찰하였다. 실험결과 일반 수돗물보다 오존수가 살균효과가 더 높았고, 같은 세척수로 세척 시에도 접종 방법, 실험시료 및 시료의 표면, 균질화에 따라 살균효과가 다르게 나타나는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 세척방법으로는 침수보다 주수 에서 살균효과가 더 컸으며 오존수의 농도는 0.2 ppm에서 유의적인 살균효과를 나타내었으며 오존수 농도가 0.4, 0.6, 1.0 ppm으로 증가함에 따라 농도 의존적으로 살균효과 또한 증가하였다. 위의 결과들을 통해 0.2 ppm 이상의 오존수가 부패 미생물 제어에 미치는 영향이 크고 식품의 제조 가공 시 여러 안전성 면에 있어서 오존수를 이용한 세척이 효과적이라고 생각된다.

        Two pesticides commonly used in spinach were subjected to a field residue trial to ensure safety of terminal residues in the harvest. The residual patterns of two pesticides, which were Azoxystrobin and chlorpyrifos were examined after applying with the recommended dose and their DT50 were calculated. Also degradation patterns of pesticides at storage 4℃ were compared to those at 20℃, and removal rates of pesticides by washing spinach with water were measured. Biological half-lives of azoxystrobin and chlorpyrifos were 3.2~3.8 and 3.8~4.7 days, respectively. During the storage period, the degradation patterns were appeared more obviously at 20℃ than 4℃. Removal rates of azoxystrobin and chlorpyrifos were 9.6~90.0% and 17.7~85.8% by various washing methods.

        This study presented a making method of jeans pattern with high fitness after deriving the appropriate shrinkage rate by material and washing process. For this purpose of this study, 6 jeans have been tested after washing finishing and we turned out appropriate shrinkage rate by evaluating the exterior of jeans and usage satisfaction. Then, a making method of jeans pattern was presented after applying the optimized shrinkage rate. According to the result of the exterior evaluation of test jeans, all 6 jeans were rated high with scores close to 3.5. Following the evaluation of satisfaction of usage by physical movement, the highest ranking was in the order of walking with normal steps, back bending 90°, chair sitting, climbing stairs, and squatting. The shrinkage rate by physical area showed the highest score in the order of pants length, waist circumference, thigh circumference, knee circumference, hem circumference, hips circumference. In addition, the shrinkage rate was higher in warp direction than weft direction after washing finishing. As for the result of addition and reduction of pattern measurements by parts of jeans, waist circumference was 2.6~5.2cm, hips circumference was 1.3~4.2cm, thigh circumference was 0.8~ 3.1cm and knee circumference was 0.7~2.5cm. Also, hem circumference was 0.5~1.8cm and pants length was 4.0~6.2cm. That is, this results showed a wide range of addition and reduction according to material and washing finishing.

        The reduction rate of pesticide residues on spinach(bifenthrin, metalaxyl, procymidone), chard(bifenthrin, imidacloprid) and mallow(bifenthrin, chlorpyrifos, imidacloprid) were tested on each step of washing and boiling(spinach: 1, 3, 5min., chard: 3, 6, 9min., mallow: 10, 20, 30min.). The reduction rates of bifenthrin and procymidone by washing were 58~64% and 82%, and these were not changed significantly after boiling. In case of imidacloprid, the rates showed 43% on chard and 12% on mallow by washing, and these were highly increased to 94% after boiling. And the reduction rate of metalaxyl and chloropyrifos were 69% and 11% by washing, and 96~98% and 77~79% by boiling. Specifically we monitored the pesticide residues on both boiled vegetable and its water because there are used to cook as soup in Korea. The total residual amounts of imidacloprid and chloropyrifos were effectively removed on both boiled mallow and its water (12% → 34~40%, 11% → 76~79%), however, the other tested pesticides were not changed on pesticide residues when calculated with total amounts on boiled vegetable and its water. These explained the other pesticides were just moved vegetable to water by boiling.

        Hand-washing is one of the most important factors in infection control and in preventing crosscontamination. The objective of this study was to investigate female university students’ awareness of hand-washing, their hand washing practices, and the difference between their awareness and practices. A self-administered questionnaire survey and direct observation in restrooms were separately carried out in a university campus and over four weeks’ period. A total of 97.4% of the survey respondents claimed to wash their hands after using toilet, and 98.2% of the observed students actually did so according to the unnoticed observational study. However, only 6.3% of the students who washed their hands in the direct observation washed for more than 10 seconds, although 46.4% of respondents in the survey reported that they usually wash their hands for more than 10 seconds. Among the observed students who washed their hands, only 0.9% used soap, and 0.9% washed four parts of their hands. Paper towel was the most common hand-drying method in the direct observation and also in the survey. Significant differences were found in duration, use of soap, part of washing, and hand-drying method between the questionnaire survey and the direct observation (p<0.05). This study indicates that there is a noticeable difference between the awareness of handwashing and hand-washing practices among female university students. Further research should examine hand-washing practices of female university students in restrooms outside the university campus.

        The principal objective of this study was to evaluate the sanitary management status of chlorine sterilization methods used for raw fruits in a school foodservice, and to suggest basic data for sanitary improvements in the quality of raw fruits. A questionnaire form predicated on HACCP standards was developed and utilized for self-reported evaluations of dietitians regarding their sanitary management practices. The subjects consisted of 257 dietitians that were employed in school (elementary middle high school) foodservices. The collected data were analyzed with the SAS package. According to the results of this study, it was deemed necessary that optimized sterilization and washing methods for good microbiological safety and quality of strawberries and bananas in school foodservice should be determined. Some strategies for future improvement were also suggested. They included the following: (1) Improvement of policy for assuring the quality of raw fruits by designing some sanitation standards and specifications for raw fruits; (2) Strengthening the research and accumulation of background data regarding methods for the sanitation of raw fruits; (3) Enforced improvement of personal hygiene for dietitians and employees; (4) Use of a variety of methods in sanitary education and employee training.

        원전의 정상운전이나 해체시 발생될 수 있는 토양의 제염을 위한 토양제염장치를 개발하였으며 실증 실험을 수행하였다. 제염장치를 이용한 제염실험을 종합해본 결과 제염조건에 큰 상관없이 이상의 제염율을 얻을 수 있었다. 방사능 준위 및 토양입도에 의한 실험결과를 보면 낮은 방사능 농도 및 고입도의 제염율이 다소 높음을 알 수 있었다. 제염용액과 토양질량의 비에 따른 제염율은 제염제 부피를 두배로 높였을 경우 방사능 농도가 높은 경우에 큰 것으로 나타났다. 반복 제염은 의 다소 작은 입자에 더욱 효과적으로, 제염이 어려운 작은 입자의 반복제염시 방사능 저감 효과가 비교적 크게 나타났다. 본 오염토양 제염장치를 활용하면 원전에서 발생되는 오염토양의 방사능 농도를 줄일 뿐 아니라 처분양을 줄여 저장공간의 확보에 기여할 뿐만 아니라 향후 원전의 해체시에도 유용하게 활용될 수 있으리라 생각된다.

        Ethanol washing with distillation as a cleanup process of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon(PAH)-contaminated soil was investigated in this study. A multistage ethanol washing with distillation process was applied to three different types of soil, i.e., sandy soil, alluvial soil, and clay with the initial concentration of benzo(a)pyrene 10 mg/kg, benz(a)anthracene 250 mg/kg, and pyrene 100 mg/kg soil. Ethanol was selected as washing solvent because of its high PAH removal efficiency, low cost, and non-toxicity comparing to the other solvent such as isopropyl alcohol and sodium dodecyl sulfate. The satisfactory results (i.e. lower than benzo(a)pyrene 1 mg/kg, pyrene 10 mg/kg, benz(a)anthracene 25 mg/kg, which are the Canada or the Netherlands soil standard) for three types of soils were obtained by at most five-six times washing. It was suggested that organic content in soil decreased the removal efficiency by ethanol washing.

        메추리알의 저장성 향상을 위하여 세척수의 온도와 pH, 세척후의 mineral oil coating, 저장중 공기의 상대습도(RH)와 CO2의 영향을 비교하였다. 메추리알의 품질특성은 난황계수, Haugh unit, 중량감소를 측정하였다. 그 결과 세척수 온도 50oC와 pH 11.0의 KOH 용액이 수돗물이나 pH 3.5의 lactic acid 용액으로 세척한 것보다 저장성 향상에 효과가 있었다. 환경기체조건을 상대습도 70%와 3.0% CO2 농도로 조절한 것은 상대습도 80%와 2.0% CO2의 조건보다 저장 기간을 50% 이상 연장 시켰다. 또한 mineral oil로 coating 처리할 경우 50oC에서 알칼리 용액으로 세척한 후 상대습도 70% 및 3.0% CO2 조건에서 저장하는 것보다 54% 가량 저장성 향상에 효과가 있었다. 이러한 조건에서 저장온도를 4oC로 낮출 경우 3개월 이상의 저장이 가능하였으며 선정된 세척 및 환경기체 조건은 저장 중 메추리알의 무게의 감소도 크게 낮춰 주었으며, 특히 mineral oil coating은 무처리구와 비교할 때 2.5배 이상 무게감소를 억제하는데 효과적임을 알 수 있었다.

        The contamination problem is getting worse now a day because of the industrial activities. Recently it has been announced that there's environmental hormone in river and lake which produces clean water, also there's too many of algae reproduces under the water and some virus in the drinking water. The quality of water is very important. pure and clean water is not only a precondition for human being to live but a basic factor to improve the quality of life. so a water purification system must be developed. This study is about the surface washing treatment technique. We tried to use a rotary nozzle to get a tush degree of efficiency, for it was not enough with present way of washing. The nozzle is run by water pressure. The results of the experiment are as follows. We got a clean and equal surface after washing. After washing, the water's maximum consistency was 330NTU and it shows that this way is better than before one with 215NTU. Clean level of the filter was 6˚and it's 2.8 times higher than 17˚with the old way. We can see the results that the new way of washing is more effective than old way based on this study.

        씻어나온 쌀(무세미) 생산공정 중 발생하는 쌀뜨물 중 함유된 유효성분, 특히 단백질 회수를 위한 분리막 공정에 관하여 검토하였다. 먼저 dead-end형 Amicon 여과셀을 이용하여 단백질 농축에 적절한 분리막을 선정하였으며 이를 토대로 중공사형 한외여과 모듈 또는 가정용 정수기에 사용되는 나권형 나노여과 및 역삼투 모듈을 이용한 투과실험을 행하였다. 그 결과, 분획분자량이 10,000 dalton인 한외여과막은 쌀뜨물내 유효성분 내지는 단백q질을 농축하기에 적절하지 않았다. 그러나 역삼투 또는 나노여과 모듈에 9% 가량의 단백질이 함유된 원료용액을 250%까지 농축할 경우, 역삼투 모듈 농축액중에 단백질의 농도는 22%로서 약 2.4배가 농축되었으며 나노여과 모듈의 경우는 약 2배까지 단백질을 농축할 수 있었다.
