The tendency of regional civil appeals and characteristics were investigated in Incheon area and the consciousness of citizen related with effective odor was analyzed from questions in this study. The tendency of regional civil appeals were different and the consciousness of citizen with the conception and kind of odors were diverse with each regions. The improvement methods of odor management were suggested from those results.

In order to aide in the design of an improved menu book, which could play an important role as a marketing tool, the current version of the menu books and managers (subjects) of 295 restaurants in the Incheon area were examined. These were managers of Korean (36.3%), Western (25.8%), Japanese (14.6%), cafeteria (12.5%) and Chinese (10.8%) style restaurants. The level of service (self-evaluation, 3-point scale) was average 2.25±0.45. The general colorings of the menu books were green (19.0%), brown (18.6%), black (17.6%), yellow (15.9%), red (13.6%) and blue (13.2%). The material of the menu book cover was mainly leather (35.9%), and the internal material was mainly coated paper (59.7%). Physically, the design was two-panel fold (38.3%), two-panel multi-page (35.6%), die style (10.2%), single panel (8.1%) and tent style (7.8%). The type sizes were unchanged in 49.9% of the menu books and in 61.7% photos were not used. 53.9% of menu books did not explain the menus, and 13.2% did not classify the items into groups. Emphasis of profit-making menus was not done in 66.8%. 51.5% of menu books were irreplaceable in parts. The emphasis of profit-making menus was less among the Korean style restaurants (p<0.001). The possibility of partial replacement of menu books was lower in both Korean and Chinese restaurants (p<0.001). The explanation of the items was lower in the Japanese restaurants (p<0.001). The classification of items into groups was lower in cafeteria (p<0.001). In cases in which there were both seasonal and event menus, the possibility of partial replacements of menu books was higher (p<0.001). Restaurants of which service level was less than ordinary were lower in the differentiation of type sizes (p<0.001), the use of photos (p<0.001), the explanation of menus (p<0.001), the classification of menus by groups (p<0.05), the emphasis of profit-making menus (p<0.001) and the possibility of partial replacement of menu books (p<0.001). If these study findings are applied to the designing of menu books, the role of the menu book as an important tool for marketing could be greatly improved.

This survey was conducted on Gyodong, Seokmo, and Boleum Islands during the spring, summer, and autumn in 2009. In these three islands, observed birds were total 177 species, 71,165 individuals; 112 species, 36,242 individuals in Gyodong Is., 111 species, 22,754 individuals in Seokmo Is., and 137 species, 12,169 individuals in Boleum Is., respectively. Breeding birds in three islands were 30 species (Podiceps ruficollis, Charadrius dubius, Larus crassirostris, Larus cachinnans, Egretta alba, Egretta intermedia, Egretta garzetta, Bubulcus ibis, Ardeola bacchus, Nycticorax nycticorax, Platalea minor, Anas poecilorhyncha, Falco tinnunculus, Streptopelia orientalis, Phasianus colchicus, Dendrocopos kizuki, Dendrocopos major, Hirundo rustica, Motacilla alba, Lanius bucephalus, Phoenicurus auroreus, Monticola solitarius, Paradoxornis webbianus, Phylloscopus coronatus, Parus palustris, Parus major, Parus varius, Passer montanus, Sturnus cineraceus, Pica pica). Among observed birds, endangered species designated by Ministry of Environment in Korea were Egretta europhotes, Falco peregrinus, and Platalea minor belonging to level I, and Anas formosa, Anser cygnoides, Haematopus ostralegus, Gallicrex cinerea, Buteo buteo, Pernis ptilorhynchus, Falco amurensis, Falco subbuteo, Bubo bubo, Numenius madagascariensis, Accipiter gularis, Accipiter gentilis, Anser fabalis, Ixobrychus eurhythmus, Buteo hemilasius, Grus monacha, and Anser erythropus belonging to level II, respectively.

The results of managing odor controlled areas which were the industrial complexes in Incheon area were estimated to produce the improvement methods of management those areas. The odor characteristics and the state of odor detection by questions with living citizens neighboring the area were estimated and many kinds of odors were smelt with the locations and the elapse of time. And the more effective management methods in odor controlled regions were investigated.

This survey was carried out to investigate herpetofauna in 22 Islands, Incheon. As a result, we have listed 1 order, 5 families, 10 species of amphibians and 1 order 4 families, 12 species of reptiles. Of them, legally protected species are following: Elaphe schrenckii Strauch (Colubridae), Eremias argus Peters (Lacertilidae), Rana plancyi chosenica Okada (Ranidae), Kaloula borealis (Barbour) (Microhylidae). Especially, E. schrenckii was the most abundant in Island Seongap. Islands where endangered species have been found could be protected from further anthropogenic activities.

The port, differently from general working place, is a closed area to execute security, customs, and quarantine procedures. The loading and unloading is being done differently by cargoes, ships, berths, and equipments. To load and unload a lot of equipments and different types of labor are required, in which work flow is very complicated. As above mentioned the port is very unique and deteriorated working place including danger. Now frequency of cargo handling accidents in port is highest for the second time among all industries. The purpose of this study is to propose ways to analyze and establish the preventive measure for cargo handling accidents in port. We have collected 45 accidents happened at Incheon Port during the period from 2007 to 2009. And the result of analysis, we proposed the new safety management system and safety education to reduce cargo handling accidents and to promote the quality of cargo handling in Incheon Port. Within the framework of effective safety management of cargo handling in port, this study will help to revise and establish system, education, and standard working manual with respect to the port loading and unloading system.

Protecting an infant from a risk of accident was an absolute responsibility and duty of parents in the past. As increase in the ratio of entering kindergartens, the demand of all day program also increases. In infancy, safety concerns are higher than other periods since infants are curious about objects and environments and that have stronger impulse of the spirit of inquiry. Since baby's functioning is poor, an ability of balance maintenance and an exercise function are not sufficiently developed. Further more, they lack a cognitive power about self-control or situation. According to Korea Consumer Agency, safety accidents in infant institution have increased in 115% as 294 cases compared with 137 cases in 2004. Major causes of infant deaths are street accidents, drowning, and deaths from a fall in order. Considering this situation, we need to prevent and deal with accidents. Therefore this thesis grasp the situation and analyze an actual condition of an safety education about teachers who work in such institutions and infants who are educated in institutions to prevent from accidents and make up pleasant environments. Then, it will suggest all efficient safety education plans for infants to them.

여름철 인천항과 부산항에 서식하는 대형저서동물군집의 구조를 파악하고자 하였다. 인천항의 9개 조사정점에서 출현한 대형저서동물 군집의 출현종수는 총 88종이었고, 서식밀도는 3,212개체 m-2, 생물량은 239 g m-2였다. 인천항내에서는 다모류의 Tharyx sp., C. setosa 등이 우점하였고, 외해에 위치한 정점에서는 이매패류인 M. senhousia, 다모류인 S. scutat 등이 우점하였다. 인천항에서 출현한 대형저서

최근 남북한의 경제교류 증대 및 개성공단의 발전에 따라 남북한의 물동량은 급속히 증가하고 있다. 또한 인천과 개성 사이의 물류 수송을 위하여 육상수송뿐만이 아니라 다양한 물류 수송 및 수송로의 제공이 요구되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 인천과 개성 사이의 바지 운송시스템 구축에 대하여 고찰한다. 적은 초기 투자비용, 적하역 및 접안 편이성 등과 같은 유리한 점을 가진 바지 운송시스템은 유럽 및 미국 등에서 널리 사용되고 있다. 먼저 본 논문에서는 바지 운송 항로, 해상 물동량 및 바지와 푸셔로 구성되는 바지 선단 등에 대하여 고찰한다. 그 다음에 바지 해상항로 조건 및 바지 선단 등에 기초하여 바지 및 푸셔의 선형 및 일반배치 설계를 수행한다. 마지막으로 바지 항로 운영 방안, 적하역 시설, 물류 센터 및 복합 수송 등과 같은 바지 해상항로 구축 방안에 대하여 고찰한다.

In this study, we offered a way that is to make warehouse industry clustered in Incheon port for getting competitive and high end value added activities like advanced port logistics center considering trend that is changing functions of port and importance of port-hinterland. For this, we studied the existing research about port cluster, the present condition of warehouse industry in Incheon port and importance of value-added logistics activities. Also, we offered needs to build a high value-added and integrated logistics center by examples of advanced port logistics center in Singapore, Netherlands(Rotterdam) and Hongkong. We get the questionnaires for gathering ideas of port logistics industry about to set integrated logistics centers by strategy we offered that is making warehouse logistics clustered.
