        Cars using diesel have always had problems with reducing exhaust fumes, and have been studied steadily in this regard. There were studies on the remanufacturing effect of DOC catalyst deactivated by diesel vehicle smoke reduction device, analysis of vehicle fire accident cases caused by damage to diesel vehicle smoke reduction device, and related studies on the remanufacturing effect of diesel vehicle smoke reduction device DPF. This study also developed a burner system in a smoke reduction device suitable for exhaust engines to completely burn smoke generated by institutions using diesel engines in low-temperature exhaust gases. Following the development of the existing high-performance heater, burner structure capable of maintaining ignition state in exhaust flow, pulsation generated by diesel engines, and exhaust flow control unit, the actual configuration, function and effect of the device, development contents, basic data and abnormalities of the vehicle, and comparison with other developed products.

        기후 변화에 따른 위험성은 전 세계적으로 오랜 기간 강조되고 있으며, 이를 극복하기 위한 노력은 해운분야에서도 국제해사 기구를 중심으로 이어지고 있다. 연소과정에서 발생한 매연을 제어하기 위하여 매연 생성 특성에 관한 연구는 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 에틸렌 가스를 기반으로 한 대향류 확산화염에서 불활성 기체인 질소를 혼합하여 화염온도, 화염형태, 매연 생성 관련된 화학종의 상태변 화를 확인하기 위해 광소멸법과 화학반응 수치해석을 수행하였다. 연구 결과. 질소의 혼합비율이 증가함에 따라 화염온도 감소와 매연체 적분율 감소로 이루어졌다. 매연 입자가 분포하는 구간도 감소하였으며, 30% 이상 혼합비율이 높아지면 체적분율 감소율이 감소하였다. 매연 성장에 관여하는 화학종들의 몰분율도 감소하였다. HACA 반응 관련 화학종은 탄화수소 연료 비율에 따라 영향을 받으나, 홀수탄소 경로 관련 화학종은 탄화수소 연료 비율뿐만 아니라 화염온도 영향을 받는 것을 확인하였다.

        This study compared and analyzed the difference in performance between the existing soot probe and the improved one that was applied to the actual inspection vehicle at the actual inspection site, which has been developed under the specific conditions based on the excellent results through the performance evaluation. As the results, probe(b) involves a structure designed close to the center of the circumference of the exhaust pipe, and the suction efficiency was improved by adding a center unit. The improved probe(b) can enhance the effectiveness of the inspection when applied to total and regular tests inspections, and the possibility of contributing to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions generated in the transportation sector has been confirmed.

        The purpose of this study is to require countermeasures for alternative energy of diesel combustion engines, which has a serious impact on air pollution when using the quantitative limit of petroleum-based energy and transportation energy. This study attempted to study the usefulness of the oxygen component in fuel as a measure to reduce exhaust emissions from diesel engines used in reality. Dimethoxy methane (DMM), which contains about 42% oxygen in itself, was mixed with diesel and applied to a diesel engine. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that as the oxygen content in the fuel increased, smoke was greatly reduced and NOx increased.

        The fuel used in this study, DMM is an oxygen additive containing 42.5% oxygen by weight and dissolved in diesel fuel, also known as methyl alcohol or Dimethoxymethane (CH3-O-CH2-O-CH3). DMM, which is a colorless liquid, shows chemical characteristics of gas-liquid and is also used as a diesel fuel component. In this study, five mixtures were added to the common diesel fuel at DMM addition rates of 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10 and 12.5% by volume. A single cylinder, four strokes, DI diesel engine was used as the test engine. Experimental data were also collected at 24 engine speed-load conditions operating in steady state. The purpose of this experiment was to study the effect of the addition ratio of oxidized fuel mixed in diesel fuel on engine power and exhaust performance. When compared with the common diesel fuel, the exhaust of Smoke was substantially reduced in all DMM mixing ratios. These results indicate that DMM can be an effective blend of diesel fuel and is an environmentally friendly alternative fuel. This study also shows that smoke and NOx emissions can be reduced at the same time through the application of oxygen fuel and EGR.

        This study describes the effects of palm oil biodiesel (PD) blended with diesel on the combustion performance, emission characteristics and soot morphology in a 4-cylinder CRDI diesel engine. 5 kinds of fuels are used with blending as diesel/biodiesel volume ratio 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 100%. The engine is operated under idle speed, 750rpm and load conditions of the engine are 0 Nm and 40Nm. The Coefficient of Variation(COV) of Indicated Mean Effective Pressure(IMEP) shows that the engine operates very steadily in the idle state. But fuel consumption is increased. And Emission results show that the oxygen in biodiesel has a great influence on the production of exhaust emissions. The nitrogen oxides(NOx) is decreased because of high viscosity and low heating values of biodiesel at low blend ratio. But NOx and Carbon monoxide(CO) are increased above a certain blend ratio. Particulate matter(PM) and Hydrocarbons(HC) is decreased according to increase of blend ratio. The size of soot is decreased and the morphology of soot is developed to cluster with increasing blend ratio.

        Intermittent duty of emergency generator has problems emitting large quantities of PM and NOx in exhaust gas. The aim of this study is to propose DPF system which can be applied to medium-large emergency generators. The system is composed of soot dust collector, silencer and filter trap, which is designed to reduce PM emissions at the emergency generator start-up. The pneumatic system controls a flow direction of exhaust gas to pass through the soot collector and filter trap until the engine reaches complete combustion condition. An experiment is performed to measure PM content and concentration to analyze the performance and characteristics of the proposed system.

        Many countries of the world has been devoting a lot of effort to reduce carbon emission. In order to reduce carbon emission, the high efficiency engine has been studied in the automotive industry. Of these, the spread and research of the diesel engine in Europe center are active. However the combustion characteristic of diesel engines have disadvantages of much NOx and soot emissions. In this study, the optimum regeneration point of the forced regeneration type DPF(Diesel Particulate Filter) that was equipped in medium-duty diesel vehicles using a mechanical fuel injection system have studied. DPF that is applied to the medium-duty diesel vehicle has a bent inlet pipe. The flow distribution characteristics of DPF according to the influence of the bent pipe have investigated. The flow distribution characteristics of DPF according to variation of the engine operating condition is considered to be useful data In order to decide the optimum regeneration point.

        This study was analyzed the characteristics of temperature distribution in DPF(Diesel Particulate Filter) equipped with partitioned electric heaters. Analysis parameters was used by variation to the length of pipe from exhaust manifold to inlet of filter. The temperature of the exhaust gas flowing into the DPF is related closely to the regeneration of filter. Due to space constraints, the DPF have inlet of bent pipe. The inlet of bent pipe induce the heterogeneous distribution of flow. The heterogeneous trapping of smoke is induced according to the heterogeneous distribution of flow. And the heterogeneous distribution of temperature in DPF is induced. In this study, without the use of assistive devices for even distribution of flow into DPF, the characteristics of temperature distribution in DPF were investigated according to the variation of the length of inlet pipe.

        매연 생성에 대하여 톨루엔의 영향을 알아보기 위하여 순수에틸렌 대향류 확산화염에 톨루엔을 소량 혼합하여 수치해석을 수행하였다. 톨루엔(C7H8)의 혼합 비율은 3%, 5%, 10%, 및 20%로 하였다. 계산에는 CHEMKIN III 기반의 Senkin 코드와 oppdif 코드를 이용하여 0-D 계산과 1-D 계산을 수행하였다. 0-D의 Senkin 계산에서는 톨루엔의 혼합율이 증가할수록 메틸라디칼의 농도는 증가하고 이에 따른 벤젠의 농도도 증가하였다. 이는 순수 에틸렌 화염에 톨루엔을 혼합할 경우 더 많은 매연이 생성될 것이라는 걸 의미한다. oppdif 코드에 의한 1-D 계산에서는 10% 톨루엔 반응식으로부터는 H 라디칼의 생성율이 결정적인 역할을 한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 위 결과들로부터 확산화염 내 매연 생성에 있어 메틸라디칼, 벤젠과 H 라디칼이 중요한 역할을 한다는 것을 알 수 있었다.
