        2004년 송광사 불상에서 『법화경현찬회고통금신초(法華經玄贊會古通今新抄)』권 1과 권2가 발굴되었다. 1974년 중국 산서성 응현(應縣) 불궁사(佛宮寺)에서 『법화경현찬회고통금신초(法華經玄贊會古通今新抄)』 권2와 권6이 발굴된 적이 있다. 그렇다면 현재 이 책의 권1과 권6은 한국과 중국의 유일본(唯一本)이고 권2는 한중이 가지고 있는 유이본(唯二本)이라 할 수 있다. 이 책은 이처럼 희귀한 귀중본일 뿐 아니라 학술적 문화적으로도 매우 높은 가치를 가지고 있고 교장(敎藏)의 원모를 보존하고 있는 중요하고 희소한 자료이다. 본 연구에서는 이 책에 대해 대략 4가지에 대해 살펴보았다. ① 이 책이 어떤 내용을 담고 있는지와 책의 성격에 대해 살펴보았다. ② 이 책의 작자에 대해서도 현존 자로에서 알 수 있는 범위에서 조사하였다. ③ 이 책의 書名에 대해서 고찰하였다. 서명에 대한 고찰을 통해 이 책의 성립과정 등을 알 수 있었다. ④ 서문과 서문 앞의 글을 통해 이 책의 저본(底本) 등에 대한 고찰을 하였다. 이와 같은 고찰을 통해 이 책에 대한 비교적 소상한 소개를 하였고 아울러 교장(敎藏) 성격의 일단을 알아볼 수 있었다.

        Suncheon Songgwangsa has unique ventilation roofs. In the meantime, these roofs have been known as a characteristic element of Songgwangsa architecture and a unique element of Korean traditional architecture. I would like to review the installation time of the ventilation roof and check the installation time through Songgwangsa’s records and photographs. According to the results of this study, it was confirmed that the ventilation roofs installed in various buildings including the temple of Songgwangsa were installed between the 1920s and 1930s. This can be summarized by comparing the history of Songgwangsa and the history of each building of Songgwangsa by comparing the paintings of Songgwangsa in 1886 and 1915 with the photographs of 1920s and Songgwangsa in the 1930s. It is a matter of further study whether the installation of the ventilation roof of Songgwangsa Temple is influenced by the Japanese occupation period.

        While going into troops for writing in the vignette style(小品文) in opposition to the Classical Chinese(古文), Yi Ok stopped by Songgwangsa Temple in Wanju. The things he felt during this stop were recorded in the Temple Chapter ( 寺觀) written in 1795. Therefore, the present dissertation evaluates the Songgwangsa Temple of the time based on this Temple Chapter . Data in the Temple Chapter draws attention to the fact that it records the layout of the temple in detail. Thus the study was able to confirm the change in layout by reviewing relevant records about repair. This reveals that the form of layout in general has been maintained although there were changes involving the relocation of the buildings and their names. Furthermore, the original Buddhist building was changed to a quarter for the monks. Also, in terms of layout after the 18th century, there are frequent name changes of the Myeongbujeon(冥府殿) and Nahanjeon(羅漢殿). After two repairs, in order to find the appearance of a Daeungjeon(Main Buddhist hall) with a two-storied structure of five bays at the front, the study evaluated the Geugnakjeon at Muryangsa Temple and the Daeungbojeon at Magoksa Temple. The evaluation revealed that the ‘Jeol’ used in the Temple Chapter were small pillars erected on a ridgepole just like the Geugnakjeon at Muryangsa Temple, and that the angle rafters were installed to corner bays in rectangular form. The intellectual Yi Ok left behind invaluable architectural data that reveals the Songgwangsa Temple of the 18th century.

        This study considers the proper repair techniques by examining the most representative repair cases of the Korean arch bridges and proposes the constructional manual which can apply similar occasions. The cases are Seonamsa Seungseongyo and Songgwangsa Geukrockgyo where this researcher had taken part in the repair works. This Study proposes the maintenance construction manual about the performance degradation drew by performance degradation of the both Korean arch bridges in the maintenance process. First, arch bridge maintenance should be carried out in the dry season, when water is impermeable in the bottom surface of the bridge. Moreover, risk factors of the maintenance should be excluded to secure the water vally flow, the bypass and the temporary bridge. Second, prior to repair, it has to precede ①3D shooting ② formal examination ③structure safety test ④geological and lithic surveys ⑤arch curvature establishment and makeshift frame settlement before transformation ⑥relationship expert comments. Third, if the baduk and the foundation stones are inevitable to replace due to performance degradation on the foundation, it should use the high quality stones and secure greater stress by extending the standard range. The foundation on irregular rock needs to be flattened and underside on the replaced materials require Grengyijil to deliver the equal loads. Fourth, In the process of dismantling the stones of the arched bridge, it could make heavy weathering degree and not reuse the materials. Charge should converge the expert advices to choose the reuseable, the conservate and the alternative materials, and increase the reutilization of the raw materials by preservation and reinforcement treatments. Fifth, the side wall should be repaired by the rubble work technique which is not able to pile compost satiety, so it must use long depth of masonary stones for reinforcement. It is considered to reinforce the stone wall in shore as much as possible and protect the abutment and the side wall on the upstream for the arch bridge maintenance works.
