        Cars serve as vehicles for the conveyance of both passengers and cargo. Inevitably, traffic accidents constitute a significant facet of vehicular operation. These accidents manifest in various forms, including frontal, rear-end, and lateral collisions. While the resultant vehicular damages may exhibit similarities, they remain inherently distinct. Owing to the intricate nature of automotive body repairs, simplistic adherence to textbook doctrines proves inadequate. The rectification of damaged vehicle bodies hinges upon the practitioner's experiential acumen. Consequently, discourse pertaining to body repair technology necessitates grounding in empirical data encompassing prevailing industry norms and attendant financial implications. Variability in individualized methodologies can engender substantial temporal and monetary outlays within the domain of automotive bodywork. Moreover, the integration of novel material technologies within vehicular structures mandates a perpetual pursuit of knowledge and empirical inquiry into the domain of vehicle body repair procedures, particularly as applied to emerging materials. Compounding this imperative is the unwavering commitment to preserving the safety paradigm from the vehicle owner's perspective, ensuring that restorative interventions subsequent to accidents do not compromise safety benchmarks.

        Car accidents require continuous access to new technologies in the field of maintenance that cannot be achieved by textbook theory alone due to the nature of body repair without the same damage and repair conditions. In the case of vehicle repairs due to unexpected accidents, it is difficult to satisfy the needs of the vehicle owner, so in this study, it is possible to restore them to their original state with improved technology like the vehicle owner. Better maintenance technologies have been explored: complete replacement of side quarter panels, partial replacement and partial modification of side quarter panels, as well as tangible and intangible effects such as not applying depreciation rates due to traffic accidents, preventing environmental pollution and maximizing owner satisfaction.

        This study aims to understand the current status of exemptions for traffic accidents during the return of emergency vehicles and to provide suggestions for improvement. A survey was conducted on 3,500 firefighters to investigate the perception of traffic accidents during the return of emergency vehicles, and responses from 505 participants were analyzed. Based On the demographic characteristics and perception of the participants, frequency analysis and variance analysis were used as research methods to analyze basic statistics and the current situation. The results showed that firefighters have concerns and anxieties about traffic accidents during the return of emergency vehicles, and the need for applying exemptions and enacting explicit legal provisions was statistically confirmed. Based on these results, we suggest a policy for exemptions to improve the preparation for re-deployment and to alleviate the concerns and anxieties of firefighters.

        PURPOSES : This study analyzed explanatory variables, such as dangerous driving behaviors, in a negative binomial regression model, using the Digital Tachograph data of commercial vehicles, to assess the factors associated with freeway accidents. METHODS : Fixed parameter and random parameter negative binomial regression models were constructed using freeway accident data of commercial vehicles from January 2007 to July 2018 on the Gyeongbu Expressway from West Ulsan Interchange to Gimcheon Junction. RESULTS : Six explanatory variables (logarithm of average annual daily traffic, sunny, rainy, and snowy weather conditions, road curvature, and driving behaviors that included sudden stops) were found to impact the occurrence of freeway accidents significantly. Two of these variables (snowy weather conditions and sudden stops among dangerous driving behaviors) were analyzed as random parameters. These variables were shown as probabilistic variables that do not have a fixed impact on traffic accidents CONCLUSIONS : The variables analyzed as random parameters should be carefully considered when the freeway operating authorities plan an improvement project for highway safety.

        Artificial intelligence (AI) has been applied to most industries by enhancing automation and contributing greatly to efficient processes and high-quality production. This research analyzes the applications of AI-based automobile accident prevention systems. It deals with AI-based collision prevention systems that learn information from various sensors attached to cars and AI-based accident detection systems that automatically report accidents to the control center in the event of a collision. Based on the literature review, technological and institutional changes are taking place at the national levels, which recognize the effectiveness of the systems. In addition, start-ups at home and abroad as well as major car manufacturers are in the process of commercializing auto parts equipped with AI-based collision prevention technology.

        자율주행자동차 기술은 급속도로 발전하고 있어 그 상용화가 멀지 않 은 것으로 여겨지고 있다. 많은 기업이 2030년 이후에는 완전한 자율주 행자동차를 보급하는 것을 목표로 그 기술개발과 안전성확보에 속도를 높이고 있다. 자율주행자동차가 도입된다면 현재 발생하는 교통사고 중 90%에 가까운 비중을 차지하는 운전자의 부주의나 운전미숙, 음주운전 등의 과실로 인한 교통사고는 최소화 될 것이고 또한 고령자나 장애인 등 교통약자들이 조금 더 편리하게 이동의 자유를 누릴 수 있는 등의 긍 정적인 면이 기대되고 있지만 훨씬 고도화되는 자동차기술의 안전성 문 제라든가, 인터넷으로 연결되는 자동차 시스템에 대한 보안문제와 같은 새로운 위험 또한 존재하고 있고, 또한 사람이 직접 운행에 개입하지 않 는 자율주행자동차의 특성 상 사람의 운행지배가 배제되는 경우도 발생 할 수 있으므로 사고가 발생할 경우 과연 누가 운행자로서 책임을 지는 지 등 현행 책임 법제가 이러한 변화를 충분히 해결할 수 있는지가 문제 될 수밖에 없다. 이러한 문제의식에 기초하여 자율주행자동차가 상용화된 이후의 자동 차 사고 관련 책임 부담에 관하여 현행 법 제도 특히, 자동차손해배상보 장법과 제조물책임법의 적용 시 문제점을 검토하고, 변화하는 자동차 관 련 사고 관련 문제를 고려한 개선방안을 모색하여 보고자 한다.

        This study investigates the delay declaration of the traffic insurance accident which is focused on a business truck causing the traffic insurance accident. The type of the delay declaration is classified as 15 types and it differs in level of payment of insurance money. It is most important that the support policy of government and the self-help of related business to reduce the delay declaration and pursue progressive solution. Moreover, it is essential not only introducing the strict regulation system but also adapting the various victim protection system.

        The present study aimed to compare and analyze the particulars of and difference in medical expenses and their composition ratio for 2,026 patients hospitalized at 2 types of medical institutions (443 at a clinic and 1,583 at a hospital) in Jeonju-si, Jeollabuk-do under coverage of automobile insurance during 2009. From the analysis, it became evident that there were differences in individual characters of inpatients covered by automobile insurance, and details, composition and composition ratio of medical treatment for them depending on types of medical institutions. There was no difference, however, between the total and average medical expenses per capita even when markup rate was applied to the automobile insurance by types of hospitals. The ratio of radiotherapy and physical therapy in the composition of medical expenses was found to be extraordinarily high in clinics compared to that of hospitals. The composition ratio of the fixed cost including charge for hospitalization also turned out to be fairly high in all medical institutions.

        대형 화물자동차의 사고는 일반적인 사고와 달리 심각한 인명피해 등을 동반할 확률이 높다. 장거리 운행이 많은 화물자동차 운전특징으로 인해 운전자의 피로 및 피로로 인한 사고가 높다. 이러한 피로와 관련된 사고를 감소시키기 위해서 외국에서는 운전자의 피로에 영향을 주는 중요변수인 운전시간, 수면시간, 운행형태 등을 고려하여 운전자의 운행시간(Hour-of-Service:HOS)을 법으로 규정하고 있다. 운송업체 또한 운전자들의 사고를 감소시키기 위해 법정 운전자 근무시간 준수를 위해 노력하고 있는 실정이다. 그러나 우리나라는 화물자동차 운전자의 피로와 관련 사고율을 줄일 수 있는 기초적인 법정 운전자 운행시간 조차 제시되지 않고 있다. 본 연구는 우리나라 화물자동차 사고사망자수를 감소시킬 수 있는 운전자의 근로기준법 제정 필요성을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해서 현재 운영 중인 선진외국의 화물자동차 운전자 운전시간 및 운행규정을 살펴보고 실증적 자료를 통해 운전시간에 따른 사고 위험도의 차이를 살펴보았다. 실증적 자료는 미국의 화물자동차 3곳의 사고 자료 231명의 운행일지와 사고가 나지 않은 자료 462명의 운행일지를 수집, 총 693명 운전자의 운행일지를 수집하였다. 운전자의 연속된 운행에 대한 특징을 반영할 수 있도록 time-dependent 로지스틱 회귀모형을 사용하였다. 분석결ㄹ과 운행시간 1시간부터 3시간까지 운전한 운전자 사고위험도 차이는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 운행시간이 10시간인 운전자는 운행시간 1시간인 운전자보다 사고위험도가 약 2.2배 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 결론적으로 운행시간이 증가할수록 사고위험도 또한 증가한다는 것을 알 수 있다. 또한 본 연구는 우리나라의 지역적 특성과 운전자 특성에 맞는 운전자 운전시간 설정을 위한 연구방향 및 향후 연구과제에 대하여 연급하였다.
