        This study was carried out to investigate the growth characteristics, yield and chemical compositions of whole crop barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) according to mixing ratio of chemical fertilizer (CF) and liquid swine manure (LSM) in the paddy field cultivation. The experimental design was arranged in a randomized block design with five treatments and three replications. The manure fertilizer ratio of five treatments were CF 100% (T1), CF 70% + LSM 30% (T2), CF 50% + LSM 50% (T3), CF 30% + LSM 70% (T4), and LSM 100% (T5) of whole crop barley. At this time, the application of liquid swine manure was based solely on the nitrogen. Plant length was higher at T1 as compared to other treatments (T2, T3, T4 and T5). Fresh yield, dry matter yield and total digestive nutrients (TDN) yield were the highest in T1, whereas the lowest in T5 treatment (p<0.05). Chemical compositions (crude protein, crude fat, neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fiber and TDN) did not show significant difference among treatments. Ca and Na contents were significantly lower at T1 as compared to other treatments (T2, T3, T4 and T5). However, Mg and P contents were significantly higher at T1 as compared to other treatments(p<0.05). There was no significant difference in total free sugar content among T2, T3, T4 and T5 treatments, but the chemical fertilizer (T1) was significantly lower than the other treatments (p<0.01). Considering the above results, liquid swine manure application showed lower dry matter yield and TDN yield than chemical fertilizer, but higher free sugar content. Therefore, in order to increase the productivity of whole crop barley, it is considered desirable to mix liquid fertilizer with chemical fertilizer, taking into account the decomposition rate and insufficient components (P, K) of the liquid swine manure.

        본 실험은 논 토양에서 호밀 재배시 화학비료와 발효 돈분 액 비 혼용 시용이 생육특성 및 영양성분에 미치는 영향을 조사하고 자 실시하였다. 실험설계는 화학비료 100% 처리구(C), 화학비료 70% +돈분액비 30% 처리구(T1), 화학비료 50% +돈분액비 50%처리구(T2), 화학비료 30% +돈분액비 70% 처리구(T3) 그리고 돈분액비 100% 처리구(T4)로 한, 5처리 3반복 난괴법으로 배치 하였다. 이때 돈분 액비 시용은 질소량만을 기준으로 하였다. 초 장은 처리구들 간에 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았다. 이삭길이, 엽장 및 엽폭은 각각 C, T3 및 T2구에서 각각 높게 나타났다 (p<0.05). 경의 굵기는 T4 > T3 > T2 > T1 > C구 순으로 돈분 액비 시용량이 높을수록 높게 나타났다(p<0.05). 건물수량 및 TDN 수량은 T4구가 가장 높게 나타난 반면 C구가 가장 낮게 나 타났다(p<0.05). 조단백질, NDF, ADF 및 조섬유 함량에서는 처 리구들 간에 유의적인 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 그러나 조지방 및 조회분 함량에 있어서는 각각 T2 및 T3구에서 높게 나타났다 (p<0.05). 총무기물 함량은 돈분액비 시용 비율이 증가할수록 유 의적으로 감소하였다(p<0.05). 그러나 총 유리당 함량은 돈분액 비 시용 비율이 높았던 T3 및 T4구가 높게 나타난 반면 화학비료 처리구(C) 및 돈분액비 시용 비율이 낮은 구(T1)에서는 낮게 나 타났다(p<0.05). 이상의 결과를 종합해 볼 때, 수량성(건물수량, TDN수량)과 사일리지 품질에 영향을 미치는 유리당을 고려한다 면 화학비료와 돈분액비 혼용하거나 돈분액비를 시용하는 것도 효과적이라고 사료된다.

        This study aimed to evaluate the germination characteristics, -glucan and antioxidant contents, and antioxidant activity of naked oat according to germination temperature (20, 25, and 30oC) and time (24, 48, and 72 h). Sprout length was highest at 25oC, and the rotten degree was increased as the germination temperature and time increased. The -glucan content of naked oat increased after 24 h of germination at all temperatures and then decreased by 72 h of germination. Total polyphenol content, flavonoid content, and antioxidant activity increased as the germination temperature and time increased.

        The risk of various hazardous substances in aquatic environment comprises not only the concentration of substances in the environmental medium but also their accumulation in fish through complex food web and the health risks to humans through the fish. In Korea, the monitoring of residual toxicant in aquatic ecosystems began in 2016 following the enforcement of the Acts on registration and evaluation for the management of chemicals used in daily life (consumer chemical products), and attention has been paid to potentially hazardous substances attributed to them. Recently, studies have been carried out to investigate the distribution of these hazardous substances in the ecosystem and calculate their emission factors. These include the accumulation and transport of substances, such as detergents, dyes, fragrances, cosmetics, and disinfectants, within trophic levels. This study summarizes the results of recently published research on the inflow and distribution of hazardous substances from consumer chemical products to the aquatic environment and presents the scientific implication. Based on studies on aquatic environment monitoring techniques, this study suggests research directions for monitoring the residual concentration and distribution of harmful chemical substances in aquatic ecosystems. In particular, this study introduces the directions for research on trophic position analysis using compound specific isotope analysis and trophic magnification factors, which are needed to fulfill the contemporary requirements of selecting target fish based on the survey of major fish that inhabit domestic waters and assessment of associated health risk. In addition, this study provides suggestions for future biota monitoring and chemical research in Korea.

        본 연구는 미네랄 첨가제가 한우사 바닥에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 실험은 경남 진주시 소재 한우 번식우 농장에서 실시하였다. 우방당 미네랄 첨가제를 5 ㎏ 첨가하였으며, 시험구로는 무첨가구(CON); bentonite 시험구(BN); illite 시험구(IL); 및 fly-ash 시험구(FA)로 두었다. 각각의 시험구로 4개의 우방을 이용하였으며, 우방당 5마리 한우 암소를 공시하였다. 미네랄 첨가제를 처리한 후 각 우방당 5곳에서 0, 7, 14, 21 및 28일에 우분을 채취하였다. 샘플은 건물, 발효특성, 미생물 성상 및 가스 발생량 분석에 이용되었다. 전 기간 동안 건물과 acetate 함량은 미네랄 첨가제에 의한 영향은 나타나지 않았다. 무첨가구에서 7, 14 및 28일에 유기물 함량은 가장 높았고(p<0.05), 조회분 함량은 가장 낮았다 (p<0.05). IL 시험구에서는 14, 21 및 28일에 총 질소 함량이 가장 높았고(p<0.05), IL, BN 및 FA 시험구에서는 각각 14, 21 및 28일에 무첨가구보다 대장균이 낮았다(p<0.05). FA 시험구에서는 28일에 살모넬라 수가 가장 높았다(p<0.05). IL 시험구에서는 28일에 암모니아 발생량이 가장 높았고 (p<0.05), 황화수소는 전기간 동안 검출되지 않았다. 28일간 결과값을 평균하였을 때, 무첨가구에서 유기물 함량이 가장 높았고(p<0.05), 조회분 함량이 가장 낮았다(p<0.05). IL 시험구에서 총 질소 함량이 가장 높았고(p<0.05), BN 시험구는 ㏗가 가장 높았다(p<0.05). 대장균 수는 IL 시험구에서 가장 낮았고(p<0.05), 살모넬라 수는 무첨가구 보다 IL과 FA 시험구에서 더 낮았다(p<0.05). 따라서, 본 연구에서 광물질 첨가제는 분 중 가스 발생량에는 영향을 미치지 않았으나, 병원성 미생물인 대장균은 illite와 fly-ash 처리 시에 억제되는 효과가 있었다.

        PURPOSES : The purpose of this study is to evaluate the asphalt binder properties using FTIR analysis. METHODS : To investigate the chemical properties of asphalt binders, FTIR tests were performed. Recently, FTIR was used for quantification under various aging conditions. Three scans were averaged for each sample within the wavenumber range of 4000 to 400 cm-1, at a resolution of 4 cm-1 (default Simatech software settings). To determine the oxidation of the extracted asphalt binder and the remaining TCE solution in the extracted asphalt binder, the penetration test was adopted and compared. To track the changes in the chemical composition of the aged bitumens, the ATR spectrum of each sample was analyzed, both qualitatively and quantitatively. The qualitative analysis involved identifying characteristic absorption peaks for the functional group of interest, such as polymer components, carbon and sulfur oxidation products, and polar aromatics. RESULTS : The asphalt binder is easily oxidized in air during FTIR testing. To reduce the oxidization of the asphalt binder, the asphalt binder must avoid air contact to measure constant results. Sometimes, the extracted asphalt binder has a residual solvent (TCE), which affects the evaluation of the extracted asphalt binder rheology, such as absolute viscosity and penetration testing. To solve this problem, the research team adopted the FTIR test method. First, the TCE was scanned with FTIR to obtain the chemical characteristics of TCE. After that, the extracted asphalt binder was scanned and the FTIR spectra were compared with those of TCE. If there is a TCE in the extracted asphalt binder, a typical peak was found in the spectrum. Thus, it is possible to estimate the content of the TCE remaining in the extracted asphalt binder via the FTIR test method. CONCLUSIONS : It is possible to evaluate the aging of asphalt binder through FTIR analysis used for the analysis of the chemical structure of asphalt. In addition, during FTIR analysis, the sample is required to avoid air contact to obtain accurate results. FTIR analysis was conducted to confirm whether the solvent (TCE) remained in the extracted asphalt binder and it was confirmed that the penetration increased by a factor of two when the solvent remained. This suggests that it is difficult to control the quality of the asphalt mixture by controlling the amount of recycled additive, as well as the aging of the extracted asphalt binder.

        The objective of this study was to determine chemical compositions affecting the physical and thermal properties of the textured vegetable protein (TVP). The 14 commercial TVPs were pulverized, followed by analyzing their morphology, chemical composition, water absorption index (WAI) and water solubility index (WSI) (for the pulverized and original TVPs), solubility, swelling power, melting property, and hardness. All TVPs showed the rough surface with irregular cracks and pores and the porous structure with varied pore sizes. WAI was positively correlated to moisture and crude protein contents and negatively correlated to the total carbohydrate content. WSI and solubility were directly and reversely influenced by the crude ash and total carbohydrate contents and the crude protein and total starch contents, respectively. The swelling power and melting temperature of TVPs did not significantly affect chemical compositions. Melting enthalpies increased with crude ash content, while decreased with the total starch content. The hardness of the rehydrated TVPs was enhanced with their crude ash and total carbohydrate contents, whereas reduced with their crude protein and total starch contents. Overall, the yield and texture of the rehydrated TVP could be modulated with the crude protein and ash contents of TVP.

        This study investigated the volatile flavor composition of essential oils from Solidago virga-aurea var. asiatica Nakai with different harvesting area. The essential oils obtained by the hydrodistillation extraction method from the aerial parts of the plants were analyzed by gas chromatography (GC) and GC-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Ninety-five (91.61%) volatile flavor compounds were identified in the essential oils from the S. virga-aurea var. asiatica Nakai harvested in Koheung, Jeolanamdo. The major compounds were hexadecanoic acid (29.22%), 7-hexyl eicosane (9.12%), spathulenol (7.701%), 3,8-dimethyl decane (6.48%), caryophyllene oxide (4.52%) and α-copaene (4.23%). Fifty-seven (97.43%) volatile flavor compounds were identified in the essential oils from the S. virga-aurea var. asiatica Nakai harvested in Seoguipo, Jejudo. The major compounds were 2-carene (40.95%), α-copaene (10.77%), α-muurolene (5.81%), and spathulenol (3.11%). The chemical composition of the essential oils was significantly different in quality and quantity with the different harvesting area. The quantitative variations of hexadecanoic acid, 7-hexyl eicosane, spathulenol, 3,8-dimethyl decane, caryophyllene oxide, 2-carene, and α-copaene according to different harvesting area can serve as a quality index of the S. virga-aurea var. asiatica Nakai essential oils in food industries.

        This study was carried out to investigate the chemical properties of safflower seeds cultivated at some areas in Korea. Safflower was used as one of the functional foods and medicinal plants for many centuries. Porximate compositions of safflower seeds were moisture, 4.8~8.1%, crude protein 16.5~19.5%, crude ash 2.7~3.3%, curde fiber 38.5~43.4%, and crude fat 16.6~24.4%, respectively. Glutamic acid, aspartic acid and arginine were the major amino acids and their contents were 2,587.4~3,143.5 mg%, 1,315.8~1,654.8 mg%, and 1,171.9~1,484.2 mg%. K, P, Ca, and Mg were major minerals and their contents were 611.6~886.3 mg%, 501.5~596.7 mg%, 208.5~641.2 mg%, and 530.6~639.5 mg%, respectively. The free sugars that were identified include raffinose, sucrose, glucose, fructose. α-tocopherol content was 0.14~3.82 mg%. Contents of vitamin C was 0.43~3.39 mg%. The safflower seeds fatty acids were palmitic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid, linoleic acid and linoleic acid. The major fatty acid was linoleic acid it’s content was 74.8~82.9%.

        This study investigated the volatile flavor composition of essential oils from Ligularia fischeri and Ligularia fischeri var. spiciformis. The essential oils obtained from the plants were analyzed by gas chromatography (GC) and GC-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). 99.63% volatile flavor compounds were identified in the essential oil from the L. fischeri. The major compounds were (E)-3-hexenol (30.73%), longiverbenone (13.23%), viridiflorol (12.39%), γ-muurolene (7.32%), limonene (6.12%), and caryophyllene (β-4.24%). 99.76% volatile flavor compounds were identified in the essential oil from the L. fischeri var. spiciformis. The major compounds were ledol (42.81%), (E)-15-heptadecenoic acid (33.91%), β-bisabolol (3.23%), viridiflorol (3.08%), and cis-α-farnesene (2.60%). Although the two plants are very similar, the chemical composition of the essential oils was significantly different in quality and quantity. In the case of L. fischeri., it has high contents of monoterpene and sesquiterpene. (E)-3-hexenol, longiverbenone, α-phellandrene, and α-myrcene were regarded as the characteristic odorants of L. fischeri, but they were not identified in L. fischeri var. spiciformis. Ledo, (E)-15-heptadecenoic acid, and β-bisabolol were regarded as the characteristic odorants of L. fischeri var. spiciformis, but they were not identified in L. fischeri. The ratio of limonene, γ-muurolene and viridiflorol can be used as an indicator to distinguish between these two plants.

        This study was carried out to obtain the basic quality characteristics, like moisture contents, hunter color value, total polyphenol, starch, amylose, and ash contents and pasting characteristics of sweet potato cultivars according to storage periods. Moisture contents of all the varieties decreased with long storage period, and were lower in dry type than tender and moist type sweet potato. Lightness(L value) of sweet potato flesh was decreased in Shinyulmi, Daeyumi, Shinhwangmi but other seven cultivars showed increasing trend. Redness(a value) was increased in Sinyulmi, Sinhwangmi, Sinjami and yellowness (b value) increased in Yeonjami only. The total polyphenol contents increased in Dahomi, Sinjami up to 4 months of storage and all other varieties showed decrease during storage period. The starch contents also decreased with storage period. The amylose contents showed different by the cultivars. The ash contents in all varieties ranged from 1.1 to 1.7%, and there was no difference among varieties and storage periods. There was no change in pasting temperature during storage periods. Peak viscosity, through viscosity, breakdown and final viscosity were different according to storage periods and cultivars. But setback tended to increase in all cultivars.

        This study was conducted to find out an alternative way of rapid and accurate analysis of chemical composition of permanent pastures in hilly grazing area. Near reflectance infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) was used to evaluate the potential for predicting proximate analysis of permanent pastures in a vegetative stage. 386 pasture samples obtained from hilly grazing area in 2015 and 2016 were scanned for their visible–NIR spectra from 400~2,400nm. 163 samples with different spectral characteristics were selected and analysed for moisture, crude protein (CP), crude ash (CA), acid detergent fiber (ADF) and neutral detergent fiber (NDF). Multiple linear regression was used with wet analysis data and spectra for developing the calibration and validation mode1. Wavelength of 400 to 2500nm and near infrared range with different critical T outlier value 2.5 and 1.5 were used for developing the most suitable equation. The important index in this experiment was SEC and SEP. The R2 value for moisture, CP, CA, CF, Ash, ADF, NDF in calibration set was 0.86, 0.94, 0.91, 0.88, 0.48 and 0.93, respectively. The value in validation set was 0.66, 0.86, 0.83, 0.71, 0.35 and 0.88, respectively. The results of this experiment indicate that NIRS is a reliable analytical method to assess forage quality for CP, CF, NDF except ADF and moisture in permanent pastures when proper samples incorporated into the equation development.

        식품첨가물로 이용되고 있는 이산화규소는 주로 고결방지의 목적으로 널리 사용되고 있는데, 나노물질이 첨가된 식품을 섭취하였을 때 나노물질의 거동 및 독성평가에 앞서 식품 성분 혹은 생체 내 성분과의 상호작용은 기본적으로 고려되어야 할 사항이다. 하지만 이러한 식품수준의 나노물질이 식품에 첨가되었을 때 일어나는 상호작용에 대한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 식품의 기본 영양 성분이 될 수 있는 탄수화물을 파라메터로 설정하여 식품성분-이산화규소 나노물질 간 상호작용 관점에서 물리화학적 특성의 변화를 zeta potential과 hydrodynamic size로 분석하였으며, 당류와의 상호작용 정도를 HPLC를 이용하여 정량 분석 및 비교하였다. 식품 매트릭스로써는 아카시아 꿀 용액 조건과 단당류 및 이당류를 동량 혼합한 당 혼합용액을 모사조건으로 설정하였고, 이를 일정 온도(4, 25, 40°C)에서 일정 시간(1 min, 1, 24, 48 h, 7 d) 동안 이산화규소 나노물질과 반응시켰다. 꿀 용액의 농도가 증가할수록 나노입자의 크기는 증가하였고, 음전하를 띠는 이산화규소의 표면전하가 고농도의 꿀 용액과 반응 시 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 반면, 당 혼합용액과 반응 시 농도에 따라 나노입자 크기의 증가는 나타나지 않았으며 표면전하의 유의적인 변화 또한 관찰되지 않았다. 전체 상호반응에 있어서는 당 혼합 용액 대비 아카시아 꿀 용액에서 나노물질과 당류와의 반응 정도가 높게 나타났다. 결과적으로 식품 내에서 당류를 제외한 미량의 영양성분들이 식품성분-나노물질 상호작용에 영향을 줄 수 있다는 점과 단당류 및 이당류가 나노입자의 분산제로 사용될 가능성에 대해 제시할 수 있다.

        This study investigated the chemical composition of Petasites japonicus (S. et Z.) Maxim essential oil. During the period 2011~2013, P. japonicus (S. et Z.) Maxim plant was investigated for composition of the essential oil. Chemical composition and characteristic compounds of the essential oils from the aerial parts of the plant according to the crop year studied. The essential oils consisted of sesquiterpene compounds, which were the most abundant components. Samples collected in 2011 were found to be richer in oxygenated sesquiterpenes, while samples collected in 2012 and 2013 were richer in diterpene alcohols and sesquiterpene hydrocarbons, respectively. Ninety-two compounds were identified in the P. japonicus (S. et Z.) Maxim essential oil of 2011, and caryophyllene oxide (20.49%), β-caryophyllene (10.28%), β-bisabolene (6.80%), and alloaromadendrene (6.50%) were the major compounds. Seventy-four compounds were identified in the plant essential oil of 2012, and phytol (17.22%), α-farnesene (15.31%), α-caryophyllene (9.93%), and β-caryophyllene (6.12%) were the major compounds. Ninety-two compounds were identified in the plant essential oil of 2013, and α-farnesene (22.42%), α- caryophyllene (21.49%), pentadecane (15.35%), and germacrene (5.70%) were the major compounds. The content of most of the chemical constituents varied significantly with different harvesting time. The content of α-caryophyllene and caryophyllene oxide was increased significantly from 2011 to 2013. The content of α-caryophyllene and isocaryophyllene was decreased significantly from 2011 to 2013.

        본 실험은 논 토양에서 사일리지용 수수 × 수수 교잡종 재배시 화학비료와 발효 돈분 액비 혼용 시용이 생육특성 및 영양성분에 미치는 영향을 조사하고자 실시하였다. 실 험설계는 화학비료 100% 처리구 (C), 화학비료 70% + 돈분 액비 30% 처리구 (T1), 화학비료 50% + 돈분액비 50% 처 리구 (T2), 화학비료 30% + 돈분액비 70% 처리구 (T3) 그리 고 돈분액비 100% 처리구 (T4)로 한, 5처리 3반복 난괴법 으로 배치하였다. 이때 돈분 액비 시용은 질소량만을 기준 으로 하였다 (150 kg/ha). 초장, 엽장, 엽폭 그리고 경의 굵 기는 T4구가 유의적으로 작게 나타났다 (p<0.05). 경의 경 도는 돈분액비 시용 비율 낮고 화학비료 시용 비율이 높을 수록 유의적으로 증가하였다 (p<0.05). 생초수량은 T2구가 높았던 반면 T3구가 낮게 나타났다 (p<0.05). 그러나 건물 수량 및 TDN 수량은 처리구들 간에 유의적인 차이를 보이 지 않았다. 조단백질 함량은 T1구가 다른 구에 비하여 높 게 나타났다 (p<0.05). 조지방 함량은 T1, T2, T3 그리고 T4 처리구들 간에는 유의적인 차이가 없었지만, C구와는 유의적인 차이를 보였다 (p<0.05). NDF와 조섬유 함량은 각각 T3구와 C구에서 높게 나타났다 (p<0.05). 그러나 ADF 함량은 처리구들 사이에 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았다. 총무기물 함량은 T1 > T2 > T4 > T3 > C 구 순으로 높게 나 타났다 (p<0.05). 유리당 함량은 T1과 C구가 다른 처리구에 비하여 유의적으로 높게 나타났다 (p<0.05). 이상의 결과를 종합해 볼 때, 돈분액비 시용은 화학비료에 비하여 수량성, 영양성분에 크게 떨어지지 않기 때문에 사일지용 수수 × 수수 교잡종 재배시 돈분액비와 화학비료를 혼용 시용 하 거나 돈분액비 만 시용하여도 큰 무리가 없는 것으로 판단된다.

        우리나라와 중국에서 매실과 살구의 종자를 가해하는 복숭아씨살이좀벌(Eurytomoa maslovskii)을 비롯한 씨살이좀벌과(Eurytomidae)의 몇몇 종들은 암컷 성충이 수컷 성충을 유인하기 위하여 장거리 페로몬 유인제를 방출하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 유럽과 중동에 분포하는 Eurytomoa amygdali의 경우, Z6Z9-23:Hy와 Z6Z9-25:Hy를 성페로몬으로 이용한다고 알려져 있으나 이 2가지 성분들의 야외 유인성은 의심받고 있는 실정이며, 복숭아씨살이좀벌 수컷에 대한 유인력도 없는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 본 연구에서는 복숭아씨살이좀벌 암컷 특이적 성분을 동정하기 위하여 암컷의 흉부를 가위로 잘라 헥산에 담가 추출한 후 GC/MS로 분석하였다. 극성이 다른 칼럼에서 추출물 내의 성분들을 분리하여 분석한 결과 암컷 추출물에만 존재하는 4가지 탄화수소가 동정되었는데, 그 중 2가지는 단일메틸 분지된 불포화탄화수소였고, 나머지 2가지는 이중메틸 분지된 포화탄화수소였다. 2가지 단일메틸 분지된 불포화탄화수소를 합성하여 야외에서 유인력을 평가한 결과, 이 2가지 성분들은 단독 또는 혼합 처리되었을 때 복숭아씨살이좀벌 수컷을 유인하지 못하였다. 이러한 결과는 수컷 유인에 필수적인 다른 성분이 존재함을 암시하며, 추후 나머지 2가지 이중메틸 분지된 포화탄화수소를 합성하여 수컷에 대한 유인력을 평가할 예정이다.
