        URPOSES: The objective of this study was to develop an impact resonance (IR) test procedure for thin disk-shaped specimens in order to determine the ⎢E*⎢ and phase angle values of various asphalt mixtures. METHODS: An IR test procedure was developed for evaluating thin disk-shaped specimens, in order to determine the dynamic modulus (⎢E*⎢) of various asphalt mixtures. The IR test method that was developed to determine the elastic modulus values of Portland cement concrete was evaluated, which method uses axisymmetric flexural vibration proposed by Leming et al. (1996). The IR tests were performed on three different mixtures of New York with varying nominal maximum aggregate sizes (NY9.5, NY19, and NY25) at six different temperatures (10 - 60℃). The ⎢E*⎢ values obtained from the IR tests were compared with those determined by the commonly used AASHTO T342-11 test. RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS : The IR test method was employed to determine the ⎢E*⎢ values of thin-disk-shaped specimens of various asphalt mixtures. It was found that the IR test method when used with thin disk-like specimens is a simple, practical, and cheap tool for determining the ⎢E*⎢ values of field cores. Further, it was found the ⎢E*⎢ values obtained from the IR tests using thin disk-like specimens were almost similar to those obtained using the AASHTO T342-11 test.

        48세 여자가 좌측 옆구리 통증을 주소로 내원하여 좌측 요관 결석으로 진단되어 체외 충격파쇄석술을 시행받았으나, 12시간 후 갑작스런 복통을 호소하며 혈압저하, 폐부종을 보였다. 국소적인 합병증을 동반한 중등도의 급성 췌장염으로 진단하고 수액과 승압제, 항생제 등의 대증적 치료 시행 후 퇴원하였다. 체외 충격파쇄석술은 요로결석의 대표적인 치료법이다. 안전하고 효과적으로 알려져 있으나 시술받은 환자의 1%에서 급성 췌장염, 신장주위 혈종, 비뇨기계 패혈증, 정맥혈전, 담도 폐쇄, 장천공, 폐손상, 부정맥 등의 심각한 합병증이 보고되고 있다. 쇄석술 이후 발생한 급성 췌장염은 드물지만 임상의는 이러한 합병증에 대한 주의가 필요하다.

        본 연구에서는 충격파 모형을 이용하여 능동식 우선신호의 최적 신호시간을 산정하기 위한 모형을 제 시하였다. 본 신호 최적화 모형을 이용하여 능동형 우선신호 기법 중 Early Green 및 Green Extension 이 적용되는 조건에서 충격파 면적을 산정할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 평균통행시간 및 교차로 진출시각을 이용해 충격파의 발생 속도를 산정하기 위한 방법을 제시하였으며, 이를 이용해 우선신호로 인한 현시 변 화량에 따라 충격파 면적 변화량을 산정할 수 있다. 또한 교차로 전체의 충격파 면적이 최소화되는 신호 시간을 산정하여 우선신호로 인해 증가하는 일반차량의 지체를 최소화할 수 있도록 하였다. 우선신호 신 호시간 산정 모형의 효과평가를 위해 VISSIM과 ComInterface를 이용한 미시적 시뮬레이션 분석을 시행 하였으며, 이동류의 포화상태를 고려하여 지체 최소화를 위한 신호시간이 산정됨을 확인하였다. 독립교차 로를 대상으로 하는 사례분석에서 우선신호를 위해 비우선현시를 균일하게 단축하는 전략 대비 본 모형에 서 일반차량 지체가 10% 이상 개선됨을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 트램, BRT, 중앙버스 전용차로 등 대중교 통 우선시설이 확산되고 있는 최근 국내 상황에서 신호교차로의 운영효율을 높이기 위한 새로운 우선신호 제어 방법을 제시하였다는데 의의가 있겠다.

        In this study, the fracture property of impact absorption is investigated using the carbon fiber composite material. And this property is compared with the carbon fiber composite material with aluminum foam. Carbon fiber composite material has the high specific strength and rigidity and the superior durability and fatigue life and light weight. On the ground of these properties, this material has been used widely at the fields of airplane, national defence industry, vehicle and the various industrial areas. Aluminum foam can also be applied at the various areas as it is the material with the superior properties. And this foam is the material which can solve the problem on the light weight of particular product. At the condition of the impact energy of 20J, the maximum loads of CFRP sandwich composite and CFRP sandwich composite with aluminum foam core are shown to be 5.7 kN and 6.5 kN respectively. In case of maximum energies, these values are shown to be 19 J and 17.5 J respectively. At the impact energy of 50 J, the maximum loads of CFRP sandwich composite and CFRP sandwich composite with aluminum foam core are shown to be 7 kN and 8.8 kN respectively. In case of maximum energies, these values are shown to be 43 J and 48 J respectively. At the impact energy of 80 J, the maximum loads of CFRP sandwich composite and CFRP sandwich composite with aluminum foam core are shown to be 9.2 kN and 11 kN respectively. In case of maximum energies, these values are shown to be 70 J and 63 J respectively. As the result of this study, the mechanical properties are investigated through the impact experiments on the composites composed of the closed aluminum foam and the carbon fiber reinforced plastic used frequently as absorbents.

        Seawater flow characteristics around deep-sea sediment resuspension system was analyzed using CFD simulation. Seawater flow is influenced by migration velocity of DSSRS and the resuspension system with disturbance device. Especially complicated flow field is generated with discharged flow in the vertical direction, and there is large variation of seawater velocity near the system with vortex flow. Turbulent kinetic energy near the system increases 2~6 times, and its variation is also affected by the operation condition of the disturbance device. The results of this study are expected to be useful in evaluating the environmental effects of the suspended solid matters which are generated in the deep sea sediment disturbance process.

        This study investigates the analytical study for evaluating impact resistance capacity and failure mode of PROTECT (Poly-Resilience-Oriented hybrid TEChnology plaTe) panel. PROTECT panel is a composite panel with two steel plates and nano-composite. In order to perform impact analysis, dynamic properties of steels and nano-composite were determined. Finite element analysis is performed with these properties under the drop-weight impact. From the FEA, different failure modes corresponding to different impact energy is derived.

        본 연구는 의료살균기술의 하나인 전극을 이용한 전기 충격 살균법을 순환식 수경재배의 배양액 재순환을 위한 배액 살균기술로 활용하고, 배액의 전기살균소독시스템을 구축하고자 할 때, 살균소독 효과가 높으며, 친환경적이고 경제적인 배양액 살균소독기술의 개발 및 전기살균소독시스템에서 사용될 전극의 최적 조건을 구명하고 전기소독의 가능성을 확인하기 위해 수행되었다. 전기살 균소독시스템 구축 시 적정 전극소재 구명을 위해 금속 전도체의 특성 조사 및 전기실험을 실시하여 배액의 pH 와 EC변화유무와 침전물 발생여부 및 배액의 원소변화 유무를 분석하였다. 새로이 개발된 전기살균소독시스템 구축 시 가장 적합한 금속 전도체 전극소재로는 전기전도도가 높고, 저항이 적으며, 소재의 수급이 용이하고, 가격이 저렴한 스테인리스 스틸임을 확인하였으며. 또한 스테인리스 스틸을 전극으로 사용하였을 때, 전기를 공급하기 전과 24V 이내의 전기를 공급한 후의 배양액내 원소변화는 거의 없는 것으로 분석되었다. 전극의 두께 보다는 넓이가 증가함에 따라 전류의 양이 증가하였으며 전극의 거리가 멀수록 목표 전류량에 도달하는 시간이 증가하였다. 적합한 전류량에 따른 주요 병원균의 살균 력을 조사한 결과 대표적 세균병인 풋마름병의 원인균인 Ralstonia solanacearum가 전류 15V-3A 170초에서 97% 가 사멸되는 것을 확인하였으며 곰팡이병인 Fusarium oxysporum은 24V-10A에서 98%의 살균력을 보였다.

        In this paper, as the transport cask was moved in the reactor, the structural integrity on the cask had to be evaluated in the normal transport condition. The drop height of the cask was determined by the weight of the cask in the normal transport condition by regulations about assessment test. It was determined that the drop height of the cask was 1.2 m by regulations. The velocity of the drop impact was calculated to perform the drop impact analysis by the principle of the conservation of energy. Using results of the simulation about the drop impact analysis, the structural integrity assessment on the transport cask was performed by ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.

        본 논문에서는 콘크리트 구조물의 층상박리균열 위에서의 손상탐지에 효율적인 충격반향기법에 대해 영향을 끼치는 다양한 영향요소들에 대한 분석을 수행하였다. 충격반향기법에서의 균열 가시화를 위해 층상박리균열위의 동적거동 및 두께를 나타내는 휨 모드 및 충격반향모드(두께 모드)에 영향을 끼치는 균열의 폭/두께(a/h) 비, 균열위의 상대적 가진 점, 측정 점의 위치 등의 시험설정 변수 등을 매개변수적 유한요소해석을 통하여 조사하였다. a/h비는 2보다 클 경우 휨 모드가 지배적이었으며 작을 경우 두께 모드가 지배적이었다. 또한 가진 점, 측정 점 중 어느 하나만 균열 위에 존재할 때도 휨 모드가 지배적이었으며 균열 밖의 범위의 건전한 영역에는 가진 점, 측정 점이 모두 위치하여야 두께 모드가 지배적이었다.

        본 논문에서는 유한요소법을 이용하여 공동주택의 중량충격음을 예측하기 위해 구조해석 모델과 음향해석 모델을 개발하고 예측결과와 실험결과를 비교하여 정확성을 검증하였다. 패널 임피던스 값을 사용하여 거실의 적절한 흡음 특성을 반영할 수 있었으며, 수치해석에 주파수 응답함수 특성을 적용하여 1회 수치해석만으로 다양한 충격원에 대한 응답을 예측할 수 있도록 하였다. 구조진동에 의한 실내 소음해석은 유한요소 수치해석 기법이 진동 및 음향모드에 대한 응답을 비교적 정확하게 예측할 수 있도록 하였으며, 본 연구의 예측결과는 실험결과와 비교적 유사한 값을 나타내었다. 향후 정확도가 보다 향상된 수치해석 모델개발을 통해 바닥충격음 저감에 효과적인 공동주택 설계가 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

        In this study, the effect of temperature effect of the rubber matrix filled with nano sized silica particles composites with silica volume fraction of 19–25% was investigated by the Charpy impact test. The Charpy impact test was conducted in the temperature range from –40°C to 0°C. The critical energy release rate GIC of the rubber matrix composites filled with nano sized silica particles was considerably affected by temperature and it was shown that the maximum value was appeared at higher temperature between temperature tested and it was shown that the value of GIC increases as temperature tested increases. The major fracture mechanisms were matrix deformation, silica particle debonding and delamination, microcrack between particles and matrix, and/or pull out between particles and matrix which is ascertained by SEM photographs of Charpy impact surfaces fracture.

        Quiet environment is essential for improving quality of living and rest. For example, noisy neighbors degrade quality of sleeping of residents. Due to emphasis on energy saving of buildings, more insulation and tighter sealing is applied for windows, doors, and walls of new buildings. As results, not only energy dissipation of new building is reduced, but also interior of new buildings have become significantly quieter. However, sound and heat insulation performance of existing buildings is relatively worse, when compared to that of recent buildings. As elapse of time, gap between bricks or concrete of building and sealing grows larger, worsening of sound and heat insulation performance of buildings is unavoidable. To provide quiet room for quality control of products or other purposes in noisy environment, indoor noise chamber is required in practice. In present work, sound transmission through indoor noise chamber is measured using different noise sources. For the worst case, noise source and sound transmission of door slam noise is shown.

        This paper presents a study on the room- and low-temperature impact toughness of hypoeutectoid steels with ferritepearlite structures. Six kinds of hypoeutectoid steel specimens were fabricated by varying the carbon content and austenitizing temperature to investigate the effect of microstructural factors such as pearlite volume fraction, interlamellar spacing, and cementite thickness on the impact toughness. The pearlite volume fraction usually increased with increasing carbon content and austenitizing temperature, while the pearlite interlamellar spacing and cementite thickness mostly decreased with increasing carbon content and austenitizing temperature. The 30C steel with medium pearlite volume fraction and higher manganese content, on the other hand, even though it had a higher volume fraction of pearlite than did the 20C steel, showed a better low-temperature toughness due to its having the lowest ductile-brittle transition temperature. This is because various microstructural factors in addition to the pearlite volume fraction largely affect the ductile-brittle transition temperature and lowtemperature toughness of hypoeutectoid steels with ferrite-pearlite structure. In order to improve the room- and low-temperature impact toughness of hypoeutectoid steels with different ferrite-pearlite structures, therefore, more systematic studies are required to understand the effects of various microstructural factors on impact toughness, with a viewpoint of ductile-brittle transition temperature.

        본 논문은 강체간의 충돌에 의한 충격력에 대한 수학적 정해 및 고준위폐기물 처분용기의 지면 추락낙하사고 시의 충돌충격에의 응용 논문으로 강체간 충돌에 의해 발생하는 충격력 특히 고준위폐기물 처분용기의 지면 추락낙하 충격사고 시 처분용기에 가해지는 충격력을 구하는 기구동역학 수치해석 연구를 수행하였다. 이를 통하여 고준위폐기물 처분용기의 구조안전성 설계과정에서 요구되는 처분용기 처분 시 사고로 추락낙하 하여 지면과 충돌하는 경우 처분용기에 가해지는 충격력을 수치적으로 구하였다. 수치해석 연구의 주된 내용은 기구동역학해석 상용 컴퓨터코드를 이용하여 처분장에서 운반차량으로 처분용기 운반중 사고로 추락낙하 하여 지면과의 충돌 시에 처분용기에 가해지는 충격력을 구하는 기술적인 방법에 관한 것이며 이를 토대로 지면과 충돌하는 처분용기에 발생하는 충격력을 구하는 문제를 수치적으로 다루었다. 이렇게 수치적으로 구한 충격력을 이론적으로 구한 값들과 비교하였다. 비교결과 이론값들과 잘 일치함을 알 수 있었다.

        The present study is undertaken to evaluate the effect of volume fraction on the results of Charpy impact test for the rubber matrix filled with nano sized silica particles composites. The Charpy impact tests are conducted in the temperature range 0°C and –10°C. The range of volume fraction of silica particles tested are between 11% to 25%. The critical energy release rate GIC of the rubber matrix composites filled with nano sized silica particles is affected by silica volume fraction and it is shown that the value of GIC decreases as volume fraction increases. In regions close to the initial crack tip, fracture processes such as matrix deformation, silica particle debonding and delamination, and/or pull out between particles and matrix which is ascertained by SEM photographs of Charpy impact fracture surfaces.

        In this study, low-carbon hypoeutectoid steels with different ferrite-pearlite microstructures were fabricated byvarying transformation temperature. The microstructural factors such as pearlite fraction and interlamellar spacing, and cementitethickness were quantitatively measured and then Charpy impact tests conducted on the specimens in order to investigate thecorrelation of the microstructural factors with impact toughness and ductile-brittle transition temperature. The microstructuralanalysis results showed that the pearlite interlamellar spacing and cementite thickness decreases while the pearlite fractionincreases as the transformation temperature decreases. Although the specimens with higher pearlite fractions have low absorbedenergy, on the other hand, the absorbed energy is higher in room temperature than in low temperature. The upper-shelf energyslightly increases with decreasing the pearlite interlamellar spacing. However, the ductile-brittle transition temperature is hardlyaffected by the pearlite interlamellar spacing because there is an optimum interlamellar spacing dependent on lamellar ferriteand cementite thickness and because the increase in pearlite fraction and the decrease in interlamellar spacing with decreasingtransformation temperature have a contradictory role on absorbed energy.

        As the property of the aluminum foam with porosity, the effect of impact is distributed through the distortion of each lattice like honeycomb at impact. So, this porous aluminum foam is widely used at the crash box or the impact absorber guard rail to prevent the damage. In addition, there is a property of low weight by the chemical bonding using the adhesive. As this study investigates the distortion property of the aluminum foam bonded with adhesive, the fracture property and the stress distribution of the bonded interface are examined. The specimen thicknesses are 25, 35, 45, 55 and 65 mm. And the torsional moments corresponding to 100, 200 and 300 J are applied at one side of bonded aluminum foam. The mechanical behaviors at the bonded interface and the fixed part are also investigated. It can be seen that the minimum specimen thickness must become 55 mm and over in order to maintain the bonding force due to the applied impact energy. The analysis result of this study at the bonded interface effected on impact can be effectively applied into the safe design of the structure with the bonded aluminum foam.

        PURPOSES: It is theoretically well known all over the world, that porous hot mixed asphalt (HMA) with hydrated Lime improves moisture and rutting resistance, and reduces pothole occurrence frequency, as well as the life cycle cost (LCC). METHODS : Addictive in the two different formations of the liquid anti-stripping Agent and powder Hydrated-Lime was applied in this investigation in order to obtain relatively clear results according to their types and conditions. Firstly, the moisture conditions were set, and applied to the porous HMA mixtures with hydrated lime (anti-stripping agent). Next, it was followed by a non-destructive test with the application of three freeze-thaw cycles, which were individually carried out thrice to compare the results of the dynamic moduli. Lastly, the hydrated lime effect related to moisture sensibility to porous HMA has been verified through the analysis of the modulus results regarding the change rate of dynamic modulus per n-cycle. RESULTS: It is clear from this investigation, that the dynamic modulus is inversely proportional to the change in temperature, as the graph representing the rigidity of the thermorheologically simple (TRS) material showed gradual decline of the dynamic modulus with the increase in temperature. CONCLUSIONS: The porous HMA mixture with the anti-stripping agent (hydrated Lime) has been found to be more moisture resistant to freezing and thawing than the normal porous HMA mixture. It is clear that the hydrated lime helps the HMA mixture to improve its fatigue resistance.
