        PURPOSES : The use of reclaimed aggregate has been recently increasing with the increase in the amount of waste asphalt concrete. The application of these materials can reduce the properties of the asphalt pavement when compared with the case when recycled aggregate is not used. The objective of this study is to evaluate the performance of the asphalt mixtures with various mix ratios of reclaimed aggregate. METHODS : To measure the performance, the following tests using the mixtures prepared in accordance with the Korea Standards were conducted: Hamburg wheel-tracking test, third-scale model mobile loading simulator test, and dynamic modulus test. RESULTS : The test results of the Hamburg wheel-tracking test indicate that the water resistance was similar in each mixture and the plastic deformation resistance was good in the high-ratio reclaimed aggregate mixture. In the case of the third-scale model mobile loading simulator test, the plastic deformation demonstrated a high resistance in the high-ratio reclaimed aggregate mixture. The results were similar to those of the Hamburg wheel-tracking test; however, the cracking resistance was poor with a high recycled aggregate incorporation ratio. The dynamic modulus test results demonstrated excellent resistance to plastic deformation at a relatively high ratio of reclaimed aggregate admixture. The crack resistance was weakened when a high ratio of reclaimed aggregate mixture was used. CONCLUSIONS: As the reclaimed aggregate content increased, the plastic deformation resistance increased and the crack resistance decreased.

        삼불화알루미늄(AlF3)이 포함된 염화물-불화물 혼합 용융염에서 ZIRLO 튜브를 이용한 지르코늄 전해정련공정을 실증하였다. 순환 전압전류실험 결과, AlF3의 농도가 증가함에 따라 금속환원의 개시 전위가 일정하게 증가하고 지르코늄-알루미늄 합금형성과 관련된 추가적인 peak의 크기가 점차 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 전류조절 전착법과 달리, −1.2 V의 일정전위 에서 수행한 지르코늄 전해정련에서 방사형 판 구조의 지르코늄 성장이 염의 상단 표면에서 확연하게 나타났으며, 전착물 지름의 크기는 AlF3의 농도에 따라 점차 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 주사전자현미경(SEM)과 에너지 분산 X선 분광기(EDX) 와 X선 광전자 분광기(XPS)를 이용하여 판 구조의 지르코늄 전착물을 분석한 결과, 극미량의 알루미늄이 지르코늄-알루미늄 합금 형태로 존재하며, 전착물의 상단과 하단 간에 서로 다른 화학성분구조를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. AlF3의 첨가는 전착물 내 잔류염 양을 줄이고, 지르코늄 회수를 위한 전류효율을 향상시키는 데 효과적인 것으로 나타났다.

        To understand the effect of high pressure on nitrogen oxides (NOx) formation in water added methane flames, opposed nonpremixed Water-methane/air (H2O-CH4/air) flames are numerically studied with high initial pressure. With GRI 3.0 detailed kinetic mechanism, NOx emissions are predicted for various strain rates. Due to high pressure, the chemical species are distributed in a narrow region, which means the thickness of the flame is thin. This can be clearly seen with high strain rate. Elevated pressure increases maximum temperature of flames which results in increased NOx emission. Even with elevated initial pressure, NOx emissions for H2O added methane flames are significantly decreased compare to pure methane flame. In addition, increased strain rate is also significant factor for decreasing NOx emission. With detailed rate of production analysis, in case of high pressure, it is confirmed that NO2 pathway is the most dominant reaction pathway than any other pathways.

        In this study, velocity distribution characteristics by location and uniformity according to exit straight length in a 180° mixed pipes were numerically analyzed using RSM (Reynolds Stress Model) turbulent model by changing various flow parameters such as working fluids, inlet air velocity etc. As a result of it, the working fluids characteristics was highly indicated by the viscous force difference, the maximum velocity points according to main pipe’s inlet velocity were indicated when 90° sectional location was distributed at X/D=0.5~0.6 region and 180° sectional location was distributed at Y/D=0.5 region. And the flow characteristics according to branch pipe’s inlet velocity when 90° sectional location was distributed at X/D=0.4~0.6 region and 180° sectional location was distributed at Y/D=0.5 region. Based on the results that the most stable exit straight length in flow uniformity was indicated at L/D=25~30 region, 40D is suggested as the effective measurement distance in the straight pipe downstream curved pipe of mixed pipe.

        With the wide application of new information technology in the field of education, blended learning, as a new learning model, has attracted more and more attention in the field of Chinese education. Blended learning is an organic integration of classroom teaching and online learning, and it is a student-centered and teacher-led teaching model. Blended learning is a blending of on-line learning and off-line learning in the form of learning, but the deeper level is a blending of four aspects. That is, the blending of learning theories, the blending of learning resources, the blending of learning environments, and the blending of learning methods. This paper introduces some basic concepts of blended learning and related research status, investigates and analyses the steps and methods of Applying Blended Learning in Chinese teaching in China and Korea, and expounds the problems of blended learning in Chinese teaching practice. Blended learning seems to provide us with unlimited possibilities, but we must avoid blind application in the process of application. We must blend all kinds of teaching elements flexibly and reasonably according to the actual situation of Chinese teaching scene.

        This study was successfully achieved out the optimized system for dispersing and mixing condition of resin liquid. The flow analysis was simulated according to the shape of the impeller and the stirring tank using ANSYS software and optimized in advanced design. As a result, it was confirmed that the shape and double number of the impeller on the flow field are influenced better effects in a range of mixing and diffusion areas comparing to single number of impeller. It was considered that stirring was performed more quickly and efficiently under the condition of double numbers and saw tooth type impeller. This result can be applied practically for the mixing tank in the industrial application and avaliable used to make a new system for painting equipment.

        화석연료로부터 기인한 환경오염에 대한 대응과 더불어 신재생에너지 공급의무화제도의 시행은 재생연료유 등 신재생에너지의 활용도를 증대시켰다. 부생연료유(2호)와 정제연료유(감압)는 국내 법령으로 엄격히 규제되고 있으며, 부생연료유(2호)를 혼합한 정제연료유(감압)의 물성변화를 시험하였다. 부생연료유(2호)를 1 : 1로 혼합한 정제연료유(감압)의 물성분석 결과, 국내 폐기물관리법에서 규정하고 있는 품질기준을 만족하였다. 다만, 연료와 관련한 추가항목 시험결과에서 높은 방향족 함량을 나타내었다. 연료내 높은 방향족 함량은 사용기기의 고무류 파손이나 연소 시 그을음, 매연 등이 발생할 가능성이 높을 것으로 보인다.

        PURPOSES: Using recyclable materials in asphalt pavement industry is one of the essential tasks not only for saving construction budgets but also for mitigating environmental pollutions. Over the past decades, several efforts have been made by road maintenance agencies to incorporate various recyclable materials into virgin asphalt paving mixtures. As a result, reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP), which consists of old pavement material was selected as one of most widely used recyclable materials. In this paper, the effects of using different amounts of single-recycled RAP (SRRAP) and double-recycled RAP (DRRAP) on the low-temperature characteristics of asphalt mixtures were investigated. METHODS: To evaluate the low-temperature characteristics of SRRAP and DRRAP mixtures, two experiments, the bending beam mixture creep test and semicircular bending fracture test were performed. The experimental parameters: creep stiffness, m-value, thermal stress, critical cracking temperature, fracture energy, and fracture toughness were computed then compared. RESULTS : RAP mixtures (SRRAP or DRRAP) showed lower mechanical performance compared with conventional asphalt mixtures. The differences became distinct with increased RAP addition. However, the performance differences between SRRAP and DRRAP mixtures were not significant in all cases, which indicate the possible application of re-recycling technology (DRRAP) in the asphalt pavement industry. CONCLUSIONS : The addition of RAP to virgin asphalt can mitigate low-temperature performance despite the improvement in fracture performance observed in some cases. Therefore, using RAP (SRRAP or DRRAP) mixtures on inter or sublayer construction, but not on the surface layer, is recommended. Moreover, the possibility of applying double-recycling technology in asphalt pavement industry can be introduced in this study because not significant performance differences were found between SRRAP and DRRAP mixtures especially at low temperature.

        PURPOSES: The objective of this study is to evaluate the physical properties of recycled asphalt mixtures reinforced with glass fiber. METHODS: Firstly, mixing design was conducted on recycled asphalt mixture for use of 50% recycled aggregate. Various laboratory tests were performed on four types of recycled asphalt mixtures with different glass fiber content to evaluate the physical properties. The laboratory tests include indirect tensile strength test, dynamic modulus test, Hamburg wheel tracking test and tensile-strength ratio to evaluate cracks, rutting and moisture resistance of mixtures. RESULTS: The indirect tensile strength of fiber reinforced glass increased about 139.4%. As a result of comparing the master curves obtained by the dynamic modulus test, the elasticity was low in the low temperature region and high in the high temperature region when the glass fiber was reinforced. The glass fiber contents of PEGS 0.3%, Micro PPGF 0.1% and Macro PPGF 0.3% showed the highest moisture resistance and rutting resistance. CONCLUSIONS : The test results show that use of glass fiber reinforcement can increase the resistance to cracking, rutting, and moisture damage of asphalt mixtures. It is also necessary to validate the long-term performance of recycled asphalt mixtures with glass fiber using full scale pavement testing and field trial construction.

        A micromixer is a component of a lab-on-a-chip or microfluidic device that mixes two or more chemicals together. The purpose of this study is to assess the performance of passive micromixer of various shapes. Six shapes of micromixers compared mixing performance. Three dimensional modeling was carried out to have the same hydraulic diameter. The commercial code, ANSYS Fluent, was used to simulate the internal mixing flow. A numerical analysis method is described in detail in this paper. The performance of the micromixer was compared with the mixing index and pressure drop. Consequently, the CDM-8T shape showed reasonable mixing performance and relatively low pressure drop.

        Purpose: The research that combines qualitative and quantitative methods are recently received attention in nursing academia and the number of research on mixed method is increased. The purpose of the study was to understand and discuss the application of mixed method research (MMR). Methods: This study provided the concept, research design, justification, and systematic issues of MMR through the literature review and researcher’s analytical thinking. Results: MMR was generally accepted in the literature as a new and comprehensive methodology. MMR was developed from the philosophical foundation on pragmatism. The designs of MMR and notation, mixing strategies, strategies for sampling and data analysis, and validity of MMR were examined. These were continued to be the issues including epistemology and pragmatic stances of MMR, primary point of interface for mixing, the level of interaction between different method (qualitative and quantitative), and more proper langue than ‘mixed’ etc. of MMR. Conclusion: In spite of those issues, MMR is solidified it’s position as multi-strategy research in the aspect of expansion of qualitative and quantitative methods with triangulation. I recommended that the researcher should apply the MMR after considering of epistemological assumptions and possibility evaluation of the synergy effects to his or her research for the merits of extensive results of MMR.

        In this paper, the combustion characteristics of constant volume combustion chamber(CVCC) were experimentally investigated when biodiesel is mixed with pure gasoline. The experiment was performed on two gasoline biodiesel samples designated by GB05 and GB20 which is mixed with 5% and 20% biodiesel respectively. It was confirmed that the ignition delay time decreases as the temperature of injection engine increases due to ignition delay. Also, it was shown that the ignition delay time decreases as the biodisel mixing ratio increases from 5% to 20%.

        Polyurethane 중합에 있어서 isocyanate 경화제인 H12MDI와 IPDI의 혼합비율에 따른 물성변화를 조사하여, H12MDI 를 사용한 polyurethane resin은 단단하여 가공성 시험에서 밴딩 시 crack 발생이 심하게 일어났으며 IPDI는 비대칭적인 구조로 인하여 polyurethane resin의 구조가 얽혀 유연성을 가지므로 crack이 발생하지 않은 것으로 보인다. IPDI의 가교 도가 높아 혼합비율이 증가할수록 가공성, 내마모성, 내용제성에서도 향상됨을 알 수 있었다. 반면에, H12MDI의 혼합비 율이 높은 polyurethane resin은 코팅피막이 단단하여 내오염성에서는 우수한 결과를 얻었지만, 오히려 내용제성, 내마모성에서는 취약함을 나타냈으며 적외선 분광 스펙트럼 분석 결과와 실제 점도 경시변화를 관찰한 결과 H12MDI의 혼합비율이 증가할수록 보관 안정성은 높았으며, IPDI의 혼합비율이 높을수록 보관 안정성은 낮았다.

        PURPOSES: This study determined the optimal usage rate of RAP (reclaimed asphalt pavement) using cold central-plant recycling (CCPR) on a road-surface layer. In addition, a mixture-aggregate gradation design and a curing method based on the proposed rate for the surface-layer mix design were proposed. METHODS: First, current research trends were investigated by analyzing the optimum moisture content, mix design, and quality standards for surface layers in Korea and abroad. To analyze the aggregate characteristics of the RAP, its aggregate-size characteristics were analyzed through the combustion asphalt content test and the aggregate sieve analysis test. Moreover, aggregate-segregation experiments were performed to examine the possibility of RAP aggregate segregation from field compaction and vehicle traffic. After confirming the RAP quality standards, coarse aggregate and fine aggregate, aggregate-gradation design and quality tests were conducted for mixtures with 40% and 50% RAP usage. The optimum moisture content of the surface-layer mixture containing RAP was tested, as was the evapotranspiration effect on the surface-layer mixture of the optimum moisture content. RESULTS: After analyzing the RAP recycled aggregate size and extraction aggregate size, 13-8mm aggregate was found to be mostly 8mm aggregate after combustion. After using surface-chipping and mixing methods to examine the possibility of RAP aggregate segregation, it was found that the mixing method contributed very little for 3.32%, and because the surface-chipping method applied compaction energy directly as the maximum assumption the separation ratio was 15.46%. However, the composite aggregate gradation did not change. Using a 40% RAP aggregate rate on the surface-layer mixture for cold central-plant recycling satisfied the Abroad quality standard. The optimum moisture content of the surface-layer mixture was found to be 7.9% using the modified Marshall compaction test. It was found that the mixture was over 90% cured after curing at 60℃ for two days. CONCLUSIONS : To use the cold central-plant recycling mixture on a road-surface layer, a mixture-aggregate gradation design was proposed as the RAP recycled aggregate size without considering aggregate segregation, and the RAP optimal usage rate was 40%. In addition, the modified Marshall compaction test was used to determine the optimum moisture content as a mix-design parameter, and the curing method was adapted using the method recommended by Asphalt Recycling & Reclaiming Association (ARRA).
