        The purpose of this study was to know the conscious of eating habit of housewife. The data were collected from 250 housewives who were the age group of 20-60's in Sang-Ju. The survey was taken place from May to June in 2000. The result showed that there were significant differences in eating habit's consciousness according to housewife's age group: 1. As the age goes up, the housewife had less consideration herself when they purchased food and decided cooking method. 2. As the age goes down, the order in having meal was depended on conditions. But as the age goes up, they considered the order as important thing like followings; eating together, eating separately according to the sex, male first, senior first, housewives lastly. 3. The survey showed that there was distinction depending on sex in meal as age goes up. And The subject was conscious that the delicious and valuable meal served to male, senior and child before. 4. Regardless of senior, the consciousness for the skipping meal was high as the age goes down. 5. As the age goes up, female and seniors showed that leftover was not so good. 6. The consciousness that housewives were responsible for preparing the meal was high as the age goes up, but they had further difficulty in preparing meal as the age goes down. 7. In considering that male and senior should be participated in the kitchen work, they had high consciousness as the age goes down. 8. About role of cooking, the consciousness was hish in case of male as the age goes down, in case of female and housewife were high as the age goes up. 9. As the age goes up, The consciousness was high that Female must buy the food. 10. As the age goes up, they had high consciousness in considering that the meaning of meal was related to survival, that noodle and bread were not meal. And the consciousness about that eating out was not good for health was high as the age goes up.

        Many cultural heritages for the modern ages in Korea are becoming lost rapidly as a result of subsequent technological innovation and changes in industrial structures and other reasons. But they are indispensable for an understanding of history, tradition culture of Korea, and form the basis for development and advancement of future culture at the same time. Therefore, this study is aimed to review the protection of cultural heritage in Japan, establishing the protection policies in Korea. In Japan, The Advisory Committee for the Preservation and Utilization of Modern Cultural heritage was organized by The Agency for Cultural Affairs. And this classified modern cultural heritage into four fields, as like; (1)monuments, (2)buildings, (3)fine arts and historical heritage, and (4)life, culture, and technology to pursue concrete research and study. The next step is tarrying out investigations to identify these cultural heritages, which were once the backbone of Japanese modernization and are now in the process of being lost, in an effort to preserve them as cultural heritage of the Japanese modernization period. The investigation will have conducted on an about eight year scheme starting with 1996. And it's will ask all local boards of education(of the prefectures, cities, towns, and villages throughout the country) to supply all related records or documents available and to cooperate in field studies. So now, many cultural heritages for the modern ages in Japan have been designated as Important Cultural Properties, Registered Tangible Cultural Properties, Monuments, etc. And they have been prepared various tax policy(ex, reduction of the real estate tax). Also, that's examples are not only one by one but magnified with protection of large-scale construction associated with region. In addition, magnified with region's activities. In conclusion, in the process, protection has been extended to a broader variety of cultural properties and much consideration has been given to the methods of protection in Japan.

        New population synthesis models, with the effects of metallicity spread and the horizontal-branch (HB) morphology, provide a way to break the well-known age-metallicity degeneracy in the analysis of the integrated light of elliptical galaxies. Our models suggest that the far- UV radiation of these systems is dominated by a minority population of metal-poor, hot HB stars and their post-HB progeny, while the optical radiation is dominated by a metal-rich population. The systematic variation of UV upturn depends on the contribution from metal-poor, hot HB stars and their post-HB progeny, which in turn depends on the ages of old stellar populations in galaxies. Our result implies a prolonged epoch of galaxy formation, in the sense that more massive galaxies (in denser environments) formed first. Our models also suggest that the strenghth of Hβ index is strongly affected by HB stars, and hence previous age estimation without detailed modeling of the HB would underestimate the ages of ellipticals by ~7 Gyr.

        For the well observed 16 globular clusters with known metal abundance (Z), the helium abundances (Y) and ages are determined by various methods, and the relations between Y, Z and age are examined. The luminosity L R R of RR Lyrae stars is known to be dependent of evolutionary models and pulsation theory in the sense that the pulsation theory and horizontal branch (HB) models yield the anticorrelation between L R R and Z whereas main sequence (MS) and red giant branch (RGB) models yield the direct correlation between them. Similarly the anticorrelation between Y and Z is obtained from the HB models and pulsation theory whereas the direct correlation between them is obtained when the RGB model is applied. The current evolutionary models yield the anticorrelation between Z and age of clusters whenever the direct correlation between Y and Z holds. However when the anticorrelation between Y and Z is applied for age determination, the similar age of clusters is obtained as shown by Sandage (1982b). The ages, which are determined by the fitting of C-M diagrams to isochrones in the ( M v , B-V)-plane, suggest the two different chemical enrichment processes, which could be accounted for by the disk-halo model for the chemical evolution of the Galaxy (Lee and Ann 1981). Also it is known that the R-method is very useful for Y-determination and the derived Y's show the increasing rate of Δ Y Δ Z ≃ 0.5 which is comparable to the observed value of Δ Y Δ Z ≃ 0.3 from HII regions and planetary nebulae by Peimbert and Torres-Peimbert (1976). In this case, the age-metallicity relation of globular clusters could be explained by the disk-halo model.

        단양 국가지질공원 남쪽에 분포하는 기반암에서 저어콘 U-Pb 연령측정을 수행하였다. 연령 측정은 2개의 시료에서 실시하였으며, 이들 시료는 우흑질과 우백질이 뚜렷이 구분되는 혼성암질 편마암으로 흑운모 ±규선석±석류석+장석+석영의 광물조합을 가진다. 함규선석 및 함석류석 편마암시료에서 각각 수집한 저어콘 결정들에 대해 고분해능 이차이온질량분석기(SHRIMP)를 사용하여 U-Pb 동위원소 성분비를 측정하였으며, 이로부터 1870±10Ma (2σ)와 1863±6 Ma (2σ)의 변성 연령을 구하였다. 1.87~1.86 Ga의 변성 연령은 영남육괴 고원생대 고온-저압의 광역변성작용의 시기(1.87~1.85 Ga)와 일치한다. 저어콘 결정들의 상속핵 연령을 기반으로 두 시료에서 얻어진 최고 퇴적연령은 2.06 Ga로 혼성암질 편마암 모암의 퇴적시기는 2.06~1.87 Ga 사이일 것으로 추정된다.

        콘크리트의 수화물 및 이와 관련된 특성치들은 재령에 따라 변화하며 이는 염화물 확산성과 큰 관련이 있다. 본 연구에서는 세 가지 수준의 물-결합재 비와 플라이 애시 및 고로슬래그 미분말을 30% 혼입한 콘크리트 대하여 2년간 장기 양생을 수행하였다. 5번의 측정 시점(28일, 56일, 180일, 365일, 730일)에 대하여 촉진실험을 통하여 촉진 염화물 확산계수를 평가하였으며, DUCOM을 통하여 도출된 공극률, 염화물 구속능, 투수계수의 변화와 비교하였다. 염화물 확산성과 투수성의 변화 패턴이 가장 유사하였는데, 이는 투수성이 공극률의 제곱에 비례하기 때문이다. 또한, 각 재령 기간 동안 변화하는 비율을 분석하였는데, 초기 재령(재령 28일~56일)에서 공극률, 투수성 및 염화물 확산성의 변화가 지배적이었고, 낮은 물-결합재 비를 가진 OPC 콘크리트에서는 180일까지 확산성의 변화가 지속적으로 크게 평가되었다.

        This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of self-sensing performance on strain-hardening cement composite containing CNT by curing age. The mixing amount of CNT was set at 1.0%, and SHCC fibers were mixed with PE 1.0% and steel fiber 0.5%. The electrical resistance measurement for the tensile strain sensing performance was based on AC method and 4 probe methods. Test results indicated that electrical sensitivity of SHCC decreased with an increase in curing age.

        Background: The ginsenosides Rb1 (G-Rb1) and Rg1 (G-Rg1) are used as marker compounds, and are the principal bioactive compounds assessed in the quality control of white ginseng. This study was conducted to analyze white ginseng samples of different and to obtain useful data for the quality control of white ginseng. Methods and Results: The variation in the content of G-Rb1 and G-Rg1 was evaluated among 35 samples of 4-, 5-, and 6-year-old white ginseng. The content of both G-Rb1 and G-Rg1 did not significantly differ among ages, and the relative ratio of the maximum to the minimum content of these within ginseng of the same ages was more than two. However, the ratio of G-Rb1 to G-Rg1 content in the 5- and 6-year-old ginseng was significantly higher than that in the 4-year-old one. According to the ‘Ginseng industrial act’, the standard (w/w, %) minimum G-Rg1 and G-Rb1 content is 0.10% and 0.20% or more, respectively. Among the 35 samples examined, the content of G-Rg1 was found to be 0.124 - 0.399% with none being less than the standard level, while that of G-Rb1, was 0.147 - 0.595%, with 4 samples (11.4%) failing to meet the standard levels. The content of G-Rg1 and G-Rb1 did not show a constant relationship with the size of ginseng. Conclusions: In our study, the content of both G-Rg1 and G-Rb1 varied widely, and there was no significant difference among cultivation ages. The results of the present study might provide useful information for the quality control of raw ginseng and processed white ginseng using marker compound.

        This paper presents the findings of the study conducted to evaluate workability and compressive strength characteristics of rapid-setting concrete containing metakaolin. The experimental variable selected was the rate of cement replacement with metakaolin at 0, 5, 10, and 15 percent. The findings are summarized as follows: compared with the control specimens with no replacement rate, the workability and compressive strength of the concrete with 5% of cement replaced with metakaolin were comparable to those of control specimens at 4hours; however, at 72 hours, the compressive strength of the concrete with the same replacement rate was larger than the strength of the control specimens by 4.1%, while no increase in strength was observed at higher replacement rates, implying that the optimum replacement rate of cement with metakaolin is 5%.

        화력발전의 부산물인 플라이 애쉬는 포졸란 반응을 통하여 조직구조를 개선하고 장기 강도 및 염화물 저항성에 매우 효과적이다. 본 연구에서는 28일 및 180일 재령의 보통 포틀랜트 시멘트 및 FA를 혼입한 콘크리트에 대하여 압축강도 및 염화물 저항성을 평가하였으며, 재 령의 증가에 따른 상관성을 평가하였다. 이를 위해, 물-결합재비(W/B)를 37%, 42%, 47%의 3가지 수준, Fly Ash를 시멘트 중량의 0%, 30%, 50%의 3가지 수준으로 나누어 총 9가지 배합을 설정하였으며, 28일 및 180일 재령 시, 압축강도, Tang‘s method에 의한 촉진확산계수, 그리고 ASTM C 1202, KS F 2711을 통한 통과전하량을 측정하였다. Fly Ash 혼입율이 클수록, W/B가 낮을수록 염화물 저항성(확산계수 및 통과전하 량)이 개선되었는데, 모든 FA 50 배합에서 염화물 저항성은 재령 28일 대비 재령 180일에서 약 15% 수준으로 감소하였다. 이는 FA의 포졸란 반응으로 인해 공극구조가 더 치밀해져 나타난 결과이며, 염해 저항성이 강도보다 시간에 더욱 의존적임을 알 수 있다. 재령 180일 이후, FA를 혼입한 배합에서 강도와 염해저항성의 뚜렷한 선형관계가 관측되었다.
