In this paper, a shear behavior of RC beam strengthened by basalt FRCM was investigated. The presence of strengthened with Basalt FRCM was considered as an experimental variable. The experimental result show that the maximum load of beam strengthened by basalt FRCM was increased 75.4% compared with that of non-strengthened beam.

In this paper, laboratory tensile tests were performed for the basalt, glass and carbon fiber reinforced polymer. Epoxy resin was used as the polymer for this composite material. The procedure of the experiment was based on the criteria specified in ASTM D3039 / 3039M. Moreover, a Universal Testing Machine (UTM) with 100 kN capacity was used in this experiment. Results of the performance of each composite material were analyzed. In case of fiber type, carbon fiber reinforced polymer showed the best performance; followed by basalt fiber and glass fiber reinforced polymer with the elastic modulus of 37.03 MPa and 33.10 MPa, respectively.

This study was evaluated compressive strength of fiber reinforcement mortar using basalt fiber as part of a basic study for development to fiber reinforcement mortar using basalt fiber. Results of assessment, influence of the compressive strength according to used superplasticizer (SP) has shown that without, in addition, compressive strength according to used viscosity agent (VA) is determined that the compression strength decreased due to the bubbling.

경북 포항시 남구 동해면 금광리 일대의 전기 마이오세 현무암층 내에 단층파쇄대의 중심에 약 5-10 cm의 폭을 가진 흑색의 단층점토가 길게 연장되어 나타났다. 이 단층점토에 대해 XRD, FTIR, DTA/TGA, SEM, TEM, XRF, EPMA 등으로 자세히 분석한 결과, Fe 성분을 다량 함유하는 Fe-세피 올라이트인 것으로 확인되었다. 이 외에 단층파쇄대의 변질광물은 주로 스멕타이트인 것으로 나타났 으며, 신선한 모암인 현무암에도 스멕타이트가 상당량 포함되어 나타났다. 이러한 구성광물의 산상으 로 보아, Fe-세피올라이트는 현무암의 고화 형성 후에 다소 깊은 곳에서 단층작용과 함께 열수변질작 용이 관여하여 형성된 것으로 사료된다.

This study was evaluated fluidity properties on the performance of fiber dispersion of basalt fiber in mortar matrix as part of a basic study for development to fiber reinforcement mortar using basalt fiber. Results of assessment, fiber dispersion performance of of fiber reinforcement mortar using basalt fiber, showed that viscosity agent is more effective to improve the fluidity and fiber dispersion than superplasticizer.

In this study, the applicability evaluation of basalt fiber surface treatment with fluorination. Test results showed that significantly reduce the tensile strength through the basalt fiber surface treatment with fluorination.

A pink-colored china body has a feeling of warmth was manufactured using basalt sludge and white clay. Mechanicalproperties and microstructure of fired bodies were investigated by XRD, SEM and UV spectroscopic. The china bodycontaining 60wt% of basalt sludge fired at 1050oC for 30 min showed a bulk density of 1.76g/cm3, water absorption of16.25% and bending strength of 5.25N/mm2, and value of CIE L*, a*, b* is 67.64, 7.82, 8.17 respectively. A phase ofPiustite and maghemite included in basalt sludge transferred to phase of Hematite with a pink color under oxydationatmosphere, over 1,000oC. It appeared black when the firing temperature was higher than 1,100oC.
