        This study presents the results of mosquito surveillance monitoring in Chungnam Province from 2017 to 2020. A total of 130,750 mosquitoes were collected, and we analyze variations of mosquito populations with emphasis on the most abundant species. We also provide the field survey data based on the different habitats in Chungnam Province.

        본 연구는 선관위 통계자료를 근거로 선거분석요인을 분석의 틀로 사 용하여 6.1지방선거(대전·충남)의 특징적 내용을 도출하고자 하였다. 우 선, 이번 6.1 동시지방선거는 그 이전의 지방선거 투표율에 비해 많이 낮았고, 대통령, 국회의원 선거에 비해서는 더욱 낮게 나타났다. 대전 (49.7%)·충남(49.8%)의 투표율은 기존의 도저촌고(道低村高) 현상이 매우 약해진 모습을 보였고, 정당별 득표율은 대전(51.20%), 충남(53.87%)으 로 보수정당인 국민의힘이 승리하였다. 광역자치단체장은 대전·충남 모두 국민의 힘이 승리하였으며, 기초자치단체장의 경우 대전은 5개중 4개, 충남은 15개 중 12개를 집권여당인 국민의힘이 차지하여 거의 일당우위 의 집권력을 보였다. 광역의회의원의 경우도 대전은 22개 의석 중 18개, 충남은 48개 의석 중 36개를 차지하여 모두 일방적인 승리를 보였으며, 대전이 충남보다 더 완전한 집권력을 보였다. 결과적으로 6.1지방선거는 정권교체를 이룬 3.9 대선 이후 시간적으로 3개월이 채 지나지 않은 짧 은 기간에 치러야했던 상황에서 대선의 영향이 그대로 이어졌던 선거였 으며, 거기에는 정치지형의 변화, 즉 일당 우위의 지배적인 정당분포, 보 수로의 회귀를 이끈 밴드왜건효과(band wagon effect)가 복합적으로 작 용한 선거결과로 볼 수 있다.

        농촌지역에서는 농업활동의 영향에 의한 질산성질소 오염이 천부지하수를 생활용수나 먹는물로 사용하는데 큰 장애요인이 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 충남 예산군 효교리 농업지역의 천부지하수의 수질특성을 토지용도 및 토양층의 화학성분과 연계하여 고찰하였다. 지하수의 NO3-N 평균 농도는 생활용수와 농업용수 수질 기준을 초과하며, 이는 비료, 축산폐수, 생활하수 등의 인위적인 오염원으로부터 유래하는 것으로 판단된다. 연구지역 지하수 수질형은 주로 Ca(Na)-Cl형에 속하는 것으로 나타나며, 일반적인 천부지하수의 수질형인 Ca-HCO3형과는 다르다. 논 및 기타(상류, 목장, 주거) 지역과 밭 지역으로 구분하여 지하수의 NO3-N 농도를 비교한 결과, 밭 지역의 NO3-N의 평균 농도는 22.8 mg L−1이고, 논 및 기타 지역의 NO3-N 평균 농도는 7.7 mg L−1로서 밭 지역의 NO3-N의 평균 농도가 높게 나타난다. 이는 논지역이 낮은 투수성을 가지고, 밭지역은 높은 투수성을 가지기 때문이다. Mann-Kendall 검정과 Sen 검정에 의한 경향성 분석 에 의하면, NO3-N 농도는 매년 0.011 mg/L 정도로 매우 약한 감소 추세를 보여주고 있으며, 이는 현재 지하수내 NO3-N 농도가 거의 평형상태에 있음을 지시한다. 한편 SO4 2− 농도는 매년 −15.48% 씩 감소하며, HCO3 − 농도는 매년 −13.75% 씩 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 입도분석에 의한 수리전도도는 지표하 5 m까지의 심도에서 평균 1.86×10−5 cm s−1을 보이며, 모래층에서는 1.03×10−4 cm s−1을 그리고 실트층에서는 2.50×10−8 cm s−1을 보인다.

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the intake status of energy drinks, knowledge of caffeine and the perception on intake of energy drinks by university students. We surveyed 351 university students from October 25, 2017 to January 25, 2018. The subjects (70.9%) consumed energy drinks more than once. Male students consumed energy drinks more frequently than the female ones. A huge portion (68.3%) of the subjects consumed energy drinks to recover from fatigue and reduce sleepiness. Moreover, they consumed most of the energy drinks at home and the university library. The main anticipated efficacy of energy drinks was the relieving drowsiness. Respondents (86.3%) perceived that energy drinks could be hazardous to the health of human beings. The main risks of consuming energy drinks were sleep disorders, addiction problems and heart beating. The main recognized effects of energy drinks were relieved drowsiness and decreased fatigue. The major side effects were heart beating, nausea, vomiting, heartburn and sleeping disorders. This study suggests that nutritional education is needed to confirm the recommendation of daily intake for caffeine and to raise awareness about the side effects of energy drinks.

        낭충봉아부패병에 저항성인 신품종 토종벌을 농업과학원에서 시험재료로 제공받아 일반 농가에서 사육중인 일반벌과 비교하였다. 꿀벌 수밀력을 조사한 결과 일벌 개체당 수밀력은 비저항성 계통보다 저항성계통이 15% 높았으며, 화분채집량은 저항성계통에서는 358mg, 비저항성 계통은 330.3mg으로 저항성계통이 비저항성계통보다 8.4%의 높은 화분채집력을 보였다. 질병저항성을 알아보기 위해 봉개유충 청소행동 평가에서 8시간 후 저항성계통에 서는 51.3%, 비저항성계통에서는 50.7%이었으며, 24시간 후에는 두계통 모두 98.7~100%의 사충 제거율을 보였다. 봉군발육조사에서는 저항성 계통의 경우, 일벌, 유충, 번데기의 수가 비저항성계통에 비하여 41%, 7%, 73% 로 발육이 우수하였다.

        The objective of this study is to investigate the satisfaction of elementary, middle and high school nutrition teachers in the Chungnam province concerning the free school food service. We surveyed satisfaction related to policies on school food service and the school food service center. Satisfaction on the school food service center was separated according to four dimensions; perception, food materials, operational system and service. Furthermore, we analyzed factors that affect satisfaction with the school food service center with a multiple regression model. First, satisfaction about the free school food service and dietary life education are higher than the total average of satisfaction with the policy about the school food service. Second, satisfaction about a variety of food materials and reasonable prices are lower than total average of satisfaction with the school food service center. Third, when more teachers have a high level of a positive perception and have higher satisfaction with the operational system of the school food service center, then they also subsequently display higher satisfaction with the school food service center. Therefore it is necessary to improve or make up for pricing and diversity on food materials by the school food service center.

        The objective of this study to investigate the satisfaction of elementary and middle school students in Chungnam province. We surveyed related to school food service, concerns about food ingredients and dietary life, perceptions of free school food service and satisfaction the quality and management of the school food service. Furthermore, this survey with the previous. Compared to year, frequency of education related to school food service and concerns about food ingredients and dietary life. Perception on free school food service increased 1.2%, not statistically significant. Satisfaction for the quality of the school food service statistically significant increase compared to 2015. ore individuals educated the foods’ countyof- origin and a higher concern the food materials and dietary life, subsequently higher satisfaction for the quality and management of school food service. The results of this study suggest that concern and concentration on software of school food service such as education and guide are important.

        The aims of this study was to investigate the satisfactions with school food service and its influencing factors for elementary and middle school parents. We surveyed parents regarding their concerns about food ingredients and dietary life, perceptions of free school food service, the necessity of food supply systems such as school food service centers, and the satisfaction about the quality and management of school food services. Compared to the last year, concerns about food ingredients and dietary life as well as perceptions about free school food services decreased. The reported necessity of supply system such as school food service centers and co-purchasing was lower than in 2015. The satisfaction about the school food service decreased, compared to 2015. More individuals had higher concerns about local food and stated the necessity for school food supply systems, as well as a higher satisfaction about the quality and management of school food services. In conclusion, it is important to emphasize characteristics of school food services such as co-purchasing local foods.

        Mushroom flies are the most serious insect pest problems affecting the cultivation of button mushroom, Agaricus bisporus Lange, and among them sciarid flies are the most common. This study was set out to determine the occurrence of mushroom flies at the mushroom farming areas in Chungnam. The occurrence of mushroom flies were highest in September as temperature increases causing yield loss of up to 27%. Adult flies invade mushroom farms and oviposit in freshly spawned compost. They spoil the appearance of the fruiting bodies, spread various fungal and bacterial disease, and transmit mites etc. Damage is mainly caused by the larvae, which feed on growing mycelium and developing stipes and caps of mushrooms. Out of 32 examined farms most of cultivation years were more than 7 years and environmental friendly cultivating farms were about 28% and conventional cultivating farms were 72%. About 84% of the examined farms selected mushroom flies as a major pests. It was found that sciarid were 71%, phorid were 24% as main mushroom flies. The occurrence density of mushroom flies were highest in September as temperature increases. The occurrence of mushroom flies at the examined farms were serious in general. However insect nets and the hygiene program as basic control were not effective. These results offer good potential for control and could implement for the integrated pest management.

        본 연구는 국가산림자원조사 자료를 이용하여 충남지역에 분포하는 사유림에 대한 포괄적인 개념의 산림경영율을 지역별, 임상별, 영급별, 경급별, 주요 수종별로 구분하여 분석하고자 하였다. 충청남도 사유림에서 조사된 제 5차 국가산림자원조사 자료 고정표본점은 총 971개소이며, 사유림 내에서 포괄적인 산림시업이 이루어진 고정표본점은 총 752개소로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과에 의하면, 충청남도 전체 사유림에 대한 포괄적인 산림경영율은 약 86.37%로 나타났다. 지역별 사유림에 대한 매년 연도별 산림 경영율은 공주시에서 14.07%로 가장 높은 경영율을 보였고 반면에 홍성군이 1.14%로 가장 낮은 경영율을 보였다. 임상별 산림경영율은 활엽수림에서 33.25%로 가장 높게 나타났으며, 반면에 혼효림에서 22.87%로 가장 낮게 나타났다. 영급은 3영급(33.77%)과 4영급(37.64%)에서 가장 높은 산림경영율로 나타났으며, 경급은 소경목(43.27%), 중경목(35.18%), 대경목(1.41%)으로 갈수록 산림경영율이 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 본 연구 결과는 충남지역에 분포하는 사유림의 포괄적인 사유림경영율에 대한 기초적인 정보를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

        We collected the unknown species of whiteflies throughout the Chungnam districts. Crepidiastrum sonchifolium (Bunge) Park & Kawano, Korean youngia was major plant to Cabbage whitefly and discovered throughout the Chungnam province in 2013. The unknown other species was collected on leaf of Morus alba L.(White mulberry) in September, 2014. We are attributing this species to Parabemisia sp. It has been known that plants affected by Aleyrodes proletella Linnaeus, cabbage whitefly are leafy brassicas, including kale cabbage, broccoli and Brussels sprout and a minor pest of cabbage, bruseels sprouts and broccoli in Europe, being seldom a pest of agriculture but often troublesome to home gardeners. In cage of pupal, lingular head is simple, dorsal submargin without row of papillae and body not boxshaped. The pupal shape of Parabemisia sp.(attributted) is as follows. The fourth nymphal skin has 30 to 32 marginal setae including the caudal setae. The anterior spiracular furrows are scarecely visible, but the caudal furrow is slightly ridged longitudinally. The vasiform orifice is elongate triangular with the lingula included. The lingula has two blunt lateral tubercles and two long caudal lingular setae. The operculum covers only the anterior one-third of the vasiform orifice. In vivo, the nymphs are surrownded by a marginal fringe of clear wax.

        본 연구에서는 충남 연안에서 연안조망의 어획 특성을 파악하기 위하여, 2008년 3월부터 2009년 2월까지 매월 2∼4회 연안조망을 사용하여 어획조사를 실시하였다. 조사 해역은 동경 125도 50분∼126도 05분, 북위 36도 15분∼36도 25분의 해역이었고, 총 19목 63과 96종이 채집되었다. 그 중 어류가 54종, 갑각류가 27종, 복족류 및 이매패류가 9종, 그리고 두족류가 6종이었다. 생체량은 어류가 51.4 %로 가장 많았으며, 갑각류는 34.2 %를 차지하였다. 꽃새우는 7월~11월에 출현량이 많았고, 12월부터 5월까지는 적은 양이 출현하였다. 연안조망의 목표종인 꽃새우는 전체 어획물의 2.1 %로 낮은 채집 비율로 출현하였으며, 꽃새우 이외 어종의 부수적 어획물의 양적 비율이 높아, 꽃새우 어획이 부수어획으로 어획되는 종들의 수산자원에 미치는 영향이 클 것으로 판단된다.

        This study was performed to investigate the consumption of coffee beverages and energy contribution ratios of coffee beverages and accompanying snacks by college students in Deajeon City and Chungnam Province in Korea. Questionnaire survey, dietary survey, and snack survey using food record method during 3-days were carried out. As a result, we found that 86.9% of male students and 75.6% of female students consumed coffee beverages usually, with no differences between the two groups. However, the frequency of coffee beverages consumed by female students out-numbered that of male students by 1 cup a day to 1-2 cups a week (p<0.05). Furthermore, male students most likely consumed coffee beverages at schools or academies, but female students consumed them at coffee shops (p<0.01). The reasons male students gave to consume coffee beverages were for scent, taste, fatigue, and to stay awake. Similarly, the reasons female students gave to consume coffee beverages were for scent, taste, habit, and to stay awake (p<0.01). Fully 58.1% of male students and 80.0% of female students ate snacks along with coffee beverages (p<0.01). Most male students substituted a coffee beverage and accompanying snack for a regular meal once a month. Female students were doing it at most 2-3 times a month (p<0.05). The mean daily dietary energy intake of male students was 1,924 kcal/d, and of female students was 1,518 kcal/d (p<0.001), which both were below the estimated energy requirements. Male students obtained 285.6 kcal/d and female students obtained 289.5 kcal/d from coffee beverages and accompanying snacks. There was a significant different in dietary intake of energy (p<0.05), calcium, and iron (p<0.001) for each ratio of reference intake between male and female students. The students who ate larger amounts of coffee beverages and accompanying snacks consumed less dietary energy, protein, calcium, and iron, respectively (p<0.05). These results show that many students consume coffee beverages regularly and obtain large amounts of energy from coffee beverages and accompanying snacks. It also shows that student's dietary nutrient intake tends to be poorer, as he or she obtains more energy from coffee beverages and accompanying snacks. Therefore, it is critical to monitor the influence of consumption of coffee beverages and accompanying snacks on the dietary nutrient intakes and health of college students, and to provide nutrition education about the proper consumption of coffee beverages and accompanying snacks based on scientific evidence.

        왕우렁이(Pomacea canaliculata)는 1983년에 식용으로 일본에서 한국으로 도입된 외래종으로서, 농업에서 벼의 직파 논의 잠재적인 해충이다. 본 연구에서는 해충화되고 있는 왕우렁이의 생육특성과 충남 및 전북지역에서의 월동생태를 구명하였고, 또한 농수로에서 수생식물과 수질에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 자연수로에서 조사결과를 보면 왕우렁이가 높은 밀도로 서식하는 수로에서는 왕우렁이가 서식하지 않을 경우에 많았던 검정말, 붕어마름, 개구리밥, 좀개구리밥 등의 수생식물들이 발견되지 않았다. 폐쇄형 인공수조실험에서는 왕우렁이가 수생식물들을 먹이로 섭식하면서 이들 식물들을 제거하고, 수질 지표인 EC, COD, T-N 및 T-P을 높이는 것으로 나타났다.

        This study was performed to compare the dietary intake and food sources of zinc (Zn), using a database of Zn composition developed in this study, between elementary schoolchildren in a remote rural area (RA, n=58, 9.9±1.7 yrs) and those in an urban area (UA, n=60, 9.4±1.8 yrs) in Chungnam province in Korea. A dietary survey for three days by food record method was performed. All kinds of foods (n=273) consumed by subjects were collected by aliquot sampling method, and the Zn content of these foods were analyzed by wet technique. The results showed that the daily mean intakes of energy, calcium, iron, and vitamin C from diet in the RA were in the range of 49-88% of the Korean DRI (KDRI), while those in the UA were similar to or greater than the KDRI, except for calcium and iron. The daily mean intake of Zn from the RA diet was 7.0±0.5 mg/d (114.1±8.4% of the KDRI), and 16.0±1.0 mg/d (258.3±16.3% of the KDRI) in that of the UA (p〈0.001). The percentage of dietary intake of Zn less than 2/3 of the KDRI was 19.0% in the RA, in comparison to 1.7% in the UA. Those in the RA consumed Zn from plant foods more often than did those in the UA (p〈0.001). Beef rib stew was the food source with highest Zn amount for the total subjects, followed by beef rib meat, roasted; and beef soup w/seasoned red pepper sauce. These results showed that some children in the RA had poor Zn nutrition based upon low intakes and poor food sources of Zn, while overall, children in the UA had good Zn nutrition. Therefore, those in RAs should have their Zn nutrition improved through government policy and nutrition education.
