This research addresses financial market communication of marketing information (i.e., information related to firms’ organic growth opportunities) through depth interviews (Study 1) and quantitative data on conference calls and stock market reactions (Study 2). The investigation (1) reveals that marketing, despite high potential relevance for financial markets, often plays only a marginal role in firms’ financial market communication and (2) develops a framework for effectively communicating marketing to financial markets.

한국교회가 처한 위기는 그리스도를 온전히 따르지 못하는 제자도 의 부재, 상실, 혹은 미숙함의 문제에 그 원인이 있다. 본 논문의 목적은 변혁적 제자도가 시대의 흐름을 바꿀 수 있는 선교 신학적 개념이라고 주장하면서, 변혁적 제자도가 한국교회 위기 극복의 대안이 될 수 있음을 논증하기 위해 변혁적 제자도의 개념과 발전과정, 그리고 그 특징을 살펴보고자 하는 데 있다. 변혁적 제자도는 2013년 WCC 부산총 회에서 발표된 TTL 문서를 배경으로 등장한 선교개념으로서, 2015년 3월 WCC CWME 위원회에서 처음 사용하였고, 2018년 WCC CWME 아루샤 세계선교대회에서 자세하게 다루어졌다. 이를 토대로 본 논문은 변혁적 제자도의 정의를 내리고, 5가지 특징을 살펴본다: 화해를 전하는 선교적 제자의 사명을 이어감, 그리스도께 속하여 연약한 이들과 연대 함, 사랑과 정의의 복음을 증거함, 성령을 통해 저항과 희망을 노래함, 그리고 시민직을 실천함이다. 이러한 다면적 특징을 갖춘 변혁적 제자들 은 세상을 섬기고 변혁시키는 통전적 선교를 실천한다.

The 17th APEC Future Education Forum (AFEF) and the 19th International ALCoB Conference were held from 28 September (Tuesday) to 1 October (Friday) in a virtual manner. The annual forum and conference serve as an invaluable opportunity to discuss future directions of education and human resources development in the Asia-Pacific region. Since 2005, the forum and conference have served their role as the largest and longest thematic meeting in the APEC Human Resources Development Working Group (HRDWG). The 2021 forum and conference have gathered 780 participants from 20 APEC member economies, guest economies and international institutions. Under the theme “Strengthening lifelong competencies and skills development for individuals’ career, education, training, and life cycles”, the forum and conference reflected the current educational agenda from 21 APEC member economies and other international organizations such as G20, UNESCO. As a way forward, the forum and conference speakers recommend APEC to 1) consider individual and industrial needs for curriculum development, 2) expand lifelong learning policies and practices at both domestic and international level and 3) develop a public-private partnership to prepare its future talents with adequate competencies. This review explains the 17th AFEF and the 19th International ALCoB Conference background, summary and outcomes. The review also briefs on collective actions member economies can take as future steps to continue the forum and conference discussions.

The Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH) is the oldest active international organization with legal capacity in the progressive unification of Private International Law (PIL). The HCCH aims to progressively unify PIL to address legal problems in the form of universal regulations. Thailand is aware of the significance and importance of co-operation in PIL, as shown by the accession of Thailand to the HCCH in 2021. This article will examine Thailand’s situation with a technique employed by Charles Dickens in his heartwarming story, ‘A Christmas Carol,’ which examined one character’s experience with reference to events in the past, the present, and the future. The past will be examined through the genealogy of PIL and the experience of Thailand before joining the HCCH. The present will address the status of Thailand in the HCCH. The future will be discussed as suggestions for Thailand after becoming a Member of the HCCH.

배경/목적: 본 연구는 증증급성호흡기증후군(COVID-19)의 확산에 따라 학술행사의 방식이 직접 참석에서 비대면 온라인 방식으로 점차 변화되는 현재의 경향을 고려하여, 2020년 시행된 학술행사 참석자들의 만족도를 분석한 연구이다. 설문조사를 통해 비대면 온라인 학술대회의 장점과 단점을 분석하고, 이를 토대로 향후 이상적인 학술대회를 준비할 수 있는 자료를 수립하고자 하였다. 방법: 2020년 상반기에 서울에서 개최된 ‘IC-KPBA 2020’ 학술행사의 참석자를 대상으로 18개 문항으로 구성된 설문조사를 시행하였다. 설문조사는 네이버 설문조사의 플랫폼을 이용하여 진행되었다. 결 과 : 비대면 온라인 방식의 학술행사에 대해서 학회 참석자들은 전반적으로 만족 혹은 매우 만족스럽다고 응답하였다. 온라인 참석자들은 네트워크 연결, 화면 및 음향 등의 각각의 항목에서 약 70-85%가 만족 혹은 매우 만족으로 응답하였으며, 직접 참석자들을 대상으로 한 설문에서 방역대책 및 현장의 화면, 음향 시설 등의 각각의 항목에서 약 80-90%가 만족 혹은 매우 만족으로 응답하였다. 향후 학회 참석 방식의 선호도 조사에서는 가급적 온라인을 선택하겠다는 답변이 33% 로 가장 높게 나타났다. 결론: 학술행사의 방식이 점차 비대면 온라인으로 변화되는 추세에서 대한췌장담도학회 주관 하에 새로운 방식으로 개최한 국제학술대회에 대한 만족도는 전반적으로 양호-우수한 것으로 확인되었다.

Before the Republican era, the Qing dynasty had taken on initiatives to interact with the international governmental system imposed by Europeans. In particular, at the 1907 Hague Peace Conference, Chinese diplomats took on singular approaches to defend China’s interests within the international legal framework of the time. Their actions demonstrate increased understanding of the Western international legal understanding, as well as clarity over the limits to the integration to the “civilised class of nations.” Chinese diplomats’ interactions demonstrate the hybrid intellectual space, which was emerging, integrating traditional Chinese understanding of its cosmology with European-inherited concepts of universality and civilisation. Their actions also demonstrate the country’s volition to engage and interact with a non-Chinese universal system, as opposed to their more passive participation at the 1899 Hague Conference. As such, the Qing had already laid the foundations for a modern dialogue between the West and the Chinese in international diplomacy, prior to the Versailles Treaty in 1919.
