        This study presents the behavioral characteristics of submerged floating tunnels under harsh environmental conditions. To evaluate the dynamic characteristics of the submerged floating tube moored by tethers, hydrodynamic analysis was performed in time-domain. To consider the irregular wave loading condition, JONSWAP wave spectrum was used with specific significant wave height and peak period. For applying the irregular wave in the explicit dynamic analysis procedure, equivalent regular wave components which have same wave energy were applied to the external force term with random phases. According to this study, lateral and vertical motion can be effectively controlled by adjusting initial tether angle and draft. Evaluation of fatigue damage of mooring lines can be conducted by analyzing the dynamic structural stresses with appropriate S-N curves and stress concentration factors. This study also dealt with short-term fatigue analysis for checking the tethers. According to this study, cumulative fatigue damage of the tethers is definitely affected by the essential design factors such as design draft of the tunnel and tether arrangement.

        본 연구에서는 전장이 26.75 m인 해양플랜트지원선의 선형개발을 위한 수치해석을 수행하였고 수치해석 검증을 위한 1/10의 모형선 시험을 예인수조에서 수행하였다. 또한 운항해역의 해상조건으로 뷰포트 스케일 2, 3 및 4에서 향파, 선수사파 및 횡파에서 선속별 상하동요 및 종동요에 대해서 운동응답특성을 수치 해석하였다. 모형시험과 수치해석의 저항 예측 결과는 상호 일치하였다. 운동응답특성은 선수파에서 상하동요는 조우주파수 1.8 ~ 2.0 영역에서 크게 나타났으며, 종동요는 거친 해상에서 선미사파 및 고속영역에서 높은 운동특성을 보였다.

        Manta형 무인잠수정(Manta-type Unmanned Undersea Test Vehicle, 이하 MUUTV라 함)은 Naval Undersea Warfare Center의 Manta Test Vehicle의 설계 및 운용 개념을 기초로 하여 제안되었다(손 등, 2006). 본 연구에서는 Feldman(1979)과 손 등(2006)의 6자유도 운동 수학모델을 이용하여 MUUTV의 조종운동 특성에 미치는 유체력미계수의 민감도 해석을 수행하였다. 민감도 해석 기법으로는 Sen(2000)이 제안한 방법을 채택하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 각각의 유체력미계수가 MUUTV의 조종운동 특성에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 파악할 수 있었으며, 상대적으로 영향을 작게 미치는 유체력미계수가 포함된 항을 제거하여 조종운동 수치 시뮬레이션을 수행하여도 운동 추정이 가능함을 알 수 있었다.

        An accurate method of estimating ship maneuverability needs to be developed to evaluate precisely and improve the maneuverability of ships according to the water depth. In order to estimate maneuverability by a mathematical model. The hydrodynamic forces acting on a ship hull and the flow field around the ship in maneuvering motion need to be estimated. The ship speed new the berth is very low and the fluid flow around a ship hull is unsteady. So, the transient fluid motion should be considered to estimate the drag force acting on the ship hull. In the low speed and short time lateral motion, the vorticity is created by the body and grow up in the acceleration stage and the velocity induced by the vorticity affect to the body in deceleration stage. For this kind of problem, CFD is considered as a goof tool to understand the phenomena. In this paper, the 2D CFD code is used for basic consideration of the phenomena to solve the flow in the cross section of the ship considering the ship is slender and the water depth is large enough. The flow fields Added and hydrodynamic forces for the some prescribed motions are computed and compared with the preliminary experiment results. The comparison of the force with measurement is shown a fairly good agreement in tendency. The 3D Potential Calculation based on the Hess & Smith Theory is employed to predict the surge, sway added mass and yaw added moment of inertia of hydrodynamic coefficients for M/V ESSO OSAKA according to the water depth. The results are also compared with experimental data. Finally, the sway added mass of hydrodynamic coefficients for T/S HANNARA is suggested in each water depth.
