        Plasma torch melting technology has been considered as a promising technology for treating or reducing the radioactive waste generated by nuclear power plants. In 2006, IAEA announced that the technology is able to treated regardless of the type of target wastes. Because of the advantage, many countries have been funding, researching and developing the treatment technology. In this study, oversea plasma torch melting facilities for radioactive wastes treatment are reviewed. Also, plasma torch melting facility developed by KHNP CRI is briefly introduced.

        For the many companies that operate internationally, the challenge of translating brand typography into different writing systems is a crucial and complex one. To address this issue, specialized type designers developed "bilingual typography": localized brand typography meant to preserve the original visual identity. They assume that by mimicking the appearance of the original typography, the newly created non-Latin typography will maintain brand consistency. However, no research investigated whether such approach is efficient.

        After the Fukushima accident, significant amount of radioactively contaminated waste has been generated with 50~250 m3/day and stored in tanks of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant site. The contaminated water is treated by various treatment facility such as KURION, SARRY, Reverse Osmosis, and ALPS to remove 62 radioactive nuclides except H-3. For the contaminated water treatment process, massive secondary wastes such as sludge, spent adsorbent, and so on as by-product are being generated by the facilities. In Japan, to treat the secondary wastes, melting technologies such as GeoMelt, In-can vitrification and Cold Crucible Induction Melting vitrification are considered as a candidate technologies. In this study, the technologies were reviewed, and the advantage and disadvantage of each technology were evaluated as the candidate technologies for treatment of the secondary wastes.

        본 연구의 목적은 중국 전자상거래기업의 해외진출이 활발한 원인을 진출방식을 통해 확인하는 것이다. 중국의 전자상거래기업은 중국 국내시장의 폭발적 성장에 힘 입어 세계적인 기업으로 성장하였고 이를 바탕으로 글로벌시장에 진출하고 있다. 전자상거래의 핵심은 신속한 배송이다. 그러나 전통 국제물류는 배송시간이 길고 물류 원가가 비싸며 반품 등 서비스가 낙후되어 전자상거래에 적합하지 못하다. 이러한 단점을 보완하기 위한 새로운 물류시스템이 등장하였는데 대표적인 것이 해외창고방식이다. 해외창고방식은 4차 산업혁명 기술을 이용하여 현지 소비자의 수요를 미리 예측하여 제품을 현지에 설립된 창고에 배송함으로써 판매기회를 확보할 수 있다. 또한 비수기에 제품을 미리 해외창고로 배송함으로써 배송 성수기를 피하고 저렴한 비용에 해외창고로 보낼 수 있다. 특히 반품이나 교환, 제품 추적에도 4차 산업혁명 기술이 융합되어 전통 국제물류가 가진 단점을 보완하였다. 비록 판매예측이 빗나갔을 경우 리스크가 발생하지만 해외창고방식은 이러한 장점을 바탕으로 중국 전자상 거래기업이 글로벌시장에 영향력을 확대하는데 큰 역할을 하고 있다. 중국 전자상 거래기업은 해외창고방식을 바탕으로 중국 국내시장이 아닌 세계의 시장으로 그 영 역을 확대하고 있는 것이다.

        The beet armywom, Spodoptera exigua Hübner, originated from Southeast Asia is one of important agricultural pests worldwide. The moth having no diapause mechanism has highly migratory capacity which contributes to population outbreaks and geographic expansion. Although the moth was first reported in 1926 from Korea, it has been important since the late 1980s. In July 2018, the species outbreaked in Gimje, Jeonbuk Province causing serious damage to soybean in several paddy fields. In this study, we investigate the genetic diversity of the outbreaking populations using a partial sequence of mitochondrial DNA COI gene. 37 COI sequences obtained from specimens collected at the fields of Gimje, Korea were compared with 249 COI sequences from GenBank. In total, 25 haplotypes were detected from 18 countries. Three haplotypes (H1, H2, and H5) found in Korea were all shared with those in China. Haplotypes H1 and H2 were prominent in Korea as well as in invasive regions worldwide. This suggest that outbreaking populations in Korea were invaded from China. The migration source was estimated using backward trajectory analysis, and found to be Zhejiang Province, China.

        The Asian tiger mosquito, Aedes albopictus, is considered as potential vector of Zika virus in Republic of Korea (ROK). Vector control during mosquito season is one of critical factors for decline of viral transmission. Total 14 oversea travel-associated Zika cases by mosquito bite were reported throughout ROK from January to September 2016 and vector control and monitoring at surroundings of patient’s residences was carried out during three weeks after confirmation of the virus. Although population density rates of Ae. albopictus were remarkably various according to ecological surroundings, population density of Ae. albopictus near forest was higher than urban. All captured Aedes mosquitoes were used for detection of three flavivirus, Zika, Dengue and Chikunguya, using RT-PCR and any virus was not detected. Population density of Ae. albopictus decreased > 65% on average after vector control and in one area > 95% of population density decreased. Our data might reveal that vector monitoring and control at surroundings near residences of oversea travel-associated Zika patients might effectively prevent viral transmission by mosquito bite and naturalization of the virus in ROK.

        데이터의 폭발적 증가와 동시다발적인 인터넷 사용, 급속도로 발전하는 미디어 환경 변화에 따라 이미지의 상대적 파급력이 높아지고 있다. 이에, 지식과 정보의 시각적 표현과 함께 시각언어를 생산하고 구축하는 시각디자이너 역량강화에도 필요성이 대두된다. 본 연구에서는 지식 정보의 홍수 속에서 커뮤니케이션 환경과 시대에 맞는 소통방법이 시각언어임을 밝히고 창의적이며 유연한 사고확산의 인재를 양성하기 위한 VCD(Visual Communication Design)교육 방법론을 콘셉트 매트릭스 활용으로 논의하였다. VCD교육과 시각언어, 콘셉트 매트릭스의 이론적 고찰을 토대로 그 의미와 가치를 탐색하고 콘셉트 매트릭스를 활용한 해외 사례를 분석하여 시사점을 도출하였다. 분석결과 정신교육, 문제해결기반교육, 협업교육, 실무중심형 교육으로 확산되는 양상을 보여줌을 알 수 있었으며 다음과 같이 제언한다. 첫째, 시각언어를 기반으로 둔 VCD교육은 일반교육이 아닌 전문인력양성을 위한 교육에 초점을 맞추어 교육철학의 콘셉트를 정확히 설계하여야 한다. 둘째, 양적인 교육 성과만을 지표로 삼는 것보다 질적인 면에서 전문교육이 진행되어야 함으로써 관련 전문가와 교육자로서의 역량 강화도 필요하다. 셋째, 체계적인 단계의 장기 계획을 세우고, 기초부터 심화까지 실무중심형 단계별 학습으로 이루어져야 한다. 또한 급속도로 발전하는 미디어 환경에 맞추어 기술이 결합한 시각언어의 디지털 콘텐츠 교육시스템을 구축하여야 한다. 본 연구는 시각언어를 기반으로 둔 VCD교육에 있어 콘셉트 매트릭스가 활용되어 지속가능형의 실질적인 디자인교육 실체화가 이루어지길 기대한다.

        Most of people do not remind of 'Who is domestic medical device business?' A lot of people that Johnson and Johnson, GE and Philips and other foreign companies belong to medical device company. In fact, local enterprises small place based on world market. Local medical device industry's production has grown up rapidly last 10 years. Sales increased nearly 3 times from trillion and 500 billion KRW in 2004 to 4 trillion and 600 billion KRW in 2014. The production record constantly increased owing to safety and good quality of domestic medical devices. As many as 59% of medical devices made in Korea is exported to 198 countries in the world. Currently, medical device industry in the world has been given considerable attention. Cognition and awareness are very much low. Medical device industry, high income creating industry, is said to next generation industry to increase scale, and Korea does not follow world flow. The industry is given support from the government that is not enough. Korean enterprises have small scale among a lot of global enterprises. Being interested in development of medical devices, the author selected department of IT at college.
