        This essay talks about research of robust design for quality improvement of production procedure of Wet Etchant. It suggested the optimum design method in consideration of specific capability value that is the way to maximize the quality of product in the production system by using Daguchi parameter design method while finding factors affecting product quality with analysis of production system of product A from producer D. Also, it set long term of 6months as noise factor and let it to be the robust design that can find the optimum condition of control factor that is dull to the changes of each month, that is the change in noise factor. The control factor which affects the product quality is decided as combination method, temperature of raw material, combination time and as there are too many possibilities for combination methods, we performed 4 methods first based on previous research data then derived three ways with product that passed SPEC and set as the factor. As a result of application of optimum production procedure suggested in this essay to the actual production process with its standardization, there was a effect of drop of more than 10particles in comparison to the particle number of previous product and also it brought the effect that resulted the stable number of particle of under 30 that is what the client company suggested.

        In the previous study, the construction guide line of IT infra-structure for a u-City was introduced. However, it is only concentrated on the components and construction procedure for provider-oriented and technology-oriented sensor networks. In this paper the architecture and building process of demander-oriented sensor networks for sustainable u-City service are proposed. In the paper it is described (1) the enhancement methods of the procedure that can be flexibly constructed according to the scale of the project, (2) the methods that can improve the structure from the wireless sensor network such as RFID/USN to the hybrid sensor network, and (3) the consideration factors for providing the sustainable u-City service.

        This study was carried out to investigate the performance of individual sewage treatment facilities with MBR(membrane bioreactor). After ratio of influent distribution of aerobic reactor to anoxic reactor from 4 : 6 to 7 : 3, the effluent quality is improved 5.3 mg/L as BOD, 3.8 mg/L as SS, 5.6 mg/L as T-N, and 1.6 mg/L as T-P, respectively. The removal efficiency rate of effluent increased upto 98% as BOD, 99% as SS 94%, as T-N as 93% and T-P, respectively. To maintain SS concentration of the effluent less than 1 mg/L, the washing and differential pressure of membrane management were required, the wasted activated sludge periodically discard to the sludge storage tank in order to meet standard criteria. The capacity of this individual facilities was overestimated, when low loading occur, an alternative is considered

        Silicon carbide (SiC) is a promising material for power device applications due to its wide band gap(3.26 eV for 4H-SiC), high critical electric field and excellent thermal conductivity. The Schottky barrier diodeis the representative high-power device that is currently available commercially. A field plate edge-terminated4H-SiC was fabricated using a lift-off process for opening the Schottky contacts. In this case, Ni/Ti dual-metalcontacts were unintentionally formed at the edge of the Schottky contacts and resulted in the degradation ofthe electrical properties of the diodes. The breakdown voltage and Schottky barrier height (SBH, ΦB) was 107V and 0.67eV, respectively. To form homogeneous single-metal Ni/4H-SiC Schottky contacts, a deposition andetching method was employed, and the electrical properties of the diodes were improved. The modified SBDsshowed enhanced electrical properties, as witnessed by a breakdown voltage of 635V, a Schottky barrier heightof ΦB=1.48eV, an ideality factor of n=1.04 (close to one), a forward voltage drop of VF=1.6V, a specific onresistance of Ron=2.1mΩ-cm2 and a power loss of PL=79.6Wcm-2.

        This study suggest a way to improve duty process of KTX(Korea Train Express) high-speed train driver. A new operating system which based on safety was introduced to operate high-speed train which travel above 300km/h on the high-speed railroad but below 200km/h on the general railroad. There were some studies on the operation of high-speed train which travel on the high-speed railroad and on the general railroad with safety. However they overlooked the elements of human errors. The duty-load of KTX train driver's 14 basic operation processes was measured using NASA-TLX and found four processes with high duty-load. In this paper, critical tasks of the high duty-load processes are determined using a questionnaire. Some suggestions which include the improvement of facilities, operating system and operating skill are proposed to lighten duty-load of the critical tasks. The validity of the proposed new task processes is demonstrated by making question to KTX train driver. To use this results cost-benefit analysis, hazards analysis etc. should be performed additionally.

        This study deals with the improvement of production process on a flow production system with the consideration of six sigma. We analyze the production process and survey the important factors of improvement of productivity. Using a six sigma, we find strategic point and suggest a reformation of production process. We applied a simulation technique to simulate the production line proposed by the result of the Six sigma. With the result of the simulation, this study analyzes the propriety of production line and proposes the alternatives of new production process.

However, the implementation with only low price or high quality might be helpless to hold a high position in modem market. Moreover more attention should be paid to the internal business processes of an organization. Therefore, a new and different method should be searched or developed in order to win the competitive power among other enterprises. This research will focus on the improvement of the business processes within the non-manufacturing industry by applying Lean Six Sigma methodology. DMAIC method will be applied to improve the inbound and outbound logistics processes, manage the inbound and outbound vehicles, and control the receiving and shipping activities.

        Numerous studies have suggested that the traditional project management tools do not adequately support the coordination efforts required to successfully deliver projects. because they were not developed to control uncertainty which is one of the characteristic of construction project. In traditional construction process control, supervisor usually measures the quantity of production for the project schedule. Flow production has suggested that better productivity, like that labor and cost performance can be achieved by reducing work flows variability. This research has suggested that 1) the circular concept of productivity with work flows variation. 2) the indicators that quantitatively measure work flows variation using productivity data which is obtained from the document of construction field. 3) measurement of productivity-based work flows variation for analyzing correlation with variation of productivity and verifies.

        It is necessary to deal with the process capability index carefully because it has been developed with certain assumptions. Companies make a decision on processes through the results obtained by using and treating data extracted from the processes. However if they have incorrect or wrong results, they cannot lead to proper outputs but also bring to loss of the competition in quality. Therefore, this study will show a method to analysis Cp (process capability ; CP) and an idea of mass-production on Pp (process performance ; PP) based on the Sigma Estimate which is one of the uncertainty in the process capability index and makes a lot of error. To apply this method, it is essential to understand and to analyze the processes exactly. Especially, it is required to establish the more accurate process capability index that can quickly and properly respond to changes on processes to recognize the small changes on the process which lies in specification in mass production system that the continual monitoring of quality managers is required.

        This paper uses a data mining methodologies to improve and predict cause of defect process variables in manufacturing process. Traditional statistical process control (SPC) techniques of control charting are not applicable in many process industries because it is difficult to analyze the cause of many process variables. The paper suggests that data mining methodologies useful when sequence rule, SVM (classification) methods are find out cause of defect process variables and SVM (prediction) methods used to predict process variables in manufacturing process. Therefore, it is allowing improved control in manufacturing process.
