        우리나라는 세월호 사고 이후 해양안전에 대한 중요성이 증대되고 있다. 특히, 해양관련 종사자들에 국한하지 않고 대국민 해양안전의식 고취를 위해 학교 및 해양관련 단체에서 다양한 교육훈련 및 체험교육이 시행되고 있다. 선원의 안전교육은 SOLAS 규정에 의거 여객선은 10일, 상선은 매월 1회 소화 및 퇴선훈련을 실시하고 있다. 세월호 사고 이후 교육훈련의 효과를 증대시키기 위해 교육 정원을 기존 40명에서 20명으로 줄여 모든 교육생이 실제 교육훈련에 참여할 수 있도록 하고 있다. 현재의 교육훈련 형태는 교재에 의거한 이론교육 실시 후 실제 실습을 행하는 2단계 교육훈련이 실시되고 있다. 하지만 현재 인적, 물적 여건상 교육생들에게 많은 실습시간 부여 및 소수인원으로 구성된 실습교육이 곤란한 상황이나 시뮬레이션 기법이 도입될 경우 실습 전 숙달된 능력으로 실습교육의 빠른 진행으로 많은 실제 실습교육 수행이 가능할 것이다. 이러한 이유로 이 연구에서는 해상안전교육 중 소화훈련의 효율성을 증대시키기 위해 총 3단계로 구분한 교육훈련을 제안하고자 한다. 즉, 이론교육 후 시뮬레이션 기법을 통한 개인별 임무 숙지 및 장비 사용법에 대한 이미지트레이닝교육을 추가하고자 한다. 이러한 시뮬레이션 기법을 사용할 경우 이론교육으로 얻어진 지식을 바탕으로 실제 훈련 전 가상으로 먼저 시행함으로서 실습교육에 빠른 적응이 가능하며 시뮬레이션 특성상 실제 훈련에서는 곤란한 긴급상황 대처훈련 및 다양한 시나리오에 의한 반복훈련이 가능하다. 이렇게 실습 전 숙달된 능력을 바탕으로 실습교육의 진행 속도를 증가시켜 많은 실제 실습교육을 수행할 수 있어 교육훈련 효율성이 증대될 것이다. 실제 교육생 설문조사에 의하면 개인별 실습시간 부족을 지적하였다. 이러한 이유로 가상현실 기법을 이용한 시뮬레이터 개발이 필요하여 이 연구에서는 개발방법에 대해 고찰하였다.

        This study investigated the design and establishment of AtoN(Aids to Navigation) in the AtoN Simulator. In recent years, IALA(International Association of Lighthouse Authorities) has raised the need of a system which could verify whether AtoN is appropriate for the design of AtoN and placement planning. An AtoN Simulator provides simulation circumstances, including the topographical and environmental characteristics of a primary harbor and the characteristics of a navigating ship and the maritime traffic. In the present study, we have developed an AtoN simulator system, including the integrated system design and the construction of an AtoN database. The AtoN Manager was developed as a virtual AtoN to manage the AtoN simulation. However, the data and materials are difficult to manage. Hence, an AtoN Manager and an AtoN simulation system have been needed for an effective managing of the AtoN properties database data. For the database structure design, we have analyzed the database design methodology. The AtoN properties have been analyzed for the effective data management. The AtoN properties designed in the present paper were classified into 19 categories. The status and properties database of AtoN were installed in 14 major ports, those were applied to the AtoN Manager. Designing the AtoN properties database was defined to reduce confusion of the use of English terms and abbreviations. The terms and acronyms have been defined in the AtoN properties and designed to the properties database structure for each AtoN. Before structuring the database for the AtoN Manager, the data of the AtoN properties for each harbor have been organized in accordance with the Excel system. The regulated data were converted into the AtoN properties database in use for the AtoN Manager. The database based on the AtoN properties table structure to each AtoN was designed. The AtoN simulator was implemented by the AtoN Manager applied to the AtoN properties database.

The shift simulator is developed using the dynamic models of the automatic transmission with torque converter, and vehicle dynamics and the hydraulic control system, which consists of solenoid valve, pressure control valve, accumulator and actuator.

        A data simulator and reduction package for the Devasthal Optical Telescope Integral Field Spectro- graph (DOTIFS) has been developed. Since data reduction for the Integral Field Spectrograph (IFS) requires complicated procedures due to the complex nature of the integral spectrograph, common reduc- tion procedures are usually not directly applicable for such an instrument. Therefore, the development of an optimized package for the DOTIFS is required. The data simulator observes artificial object and simulates CCD images for the instrument considering various effects; e.g. atmosphere, sky background, transmission, spectrograph optics aberration, and detector noise. The data reduction package has been developed based on the outcomes from the DOTIFS data simulator. The reduction package includes the entire processes for the reduction; pre-processing, at-fielding, and sky subtraction. It generates 3D data cubes as a final product, which users can use for science directly.

        The purpose in this study is to investigate CT number difference between conventional CT and CT simulator. It shows good correlation in CT number on the muscle, bone, and air. However, in the liver, lungs and water, the low correlation was detected. This result can become the good index for the direction of the distribution of dose difference research between CT equipment for using the computerized radiation therapy planning system.

        The competition between companies for prior occupation of the market is becoming fierce. In this highly competitive situation, it is important for companies to differentiate themselves if they are going to have a chance at success. And the competition to create the best solution method possible is higher than ever. Increased competition is forcing companies to lower costs and improve efficiency. A supply chain management(SCM) has become one of the most important solution methods of competitive advantage. This study has developed a simulator for the supply chain network problem. The simulator is designed to simulate the conditions of an actual supply chain network considering uncertainties. The simulator developed using commercial simulation tool ARENA and the results of computational experiments for a simple example were given and discussed to validate the developed simulator. Further research is needed, but using the simulator could become a useful tool for decision making in the supply chain network area.

        본 기술보고에서는 선박운항 시뮬레이터를 위한 해양파 가시화의 개선을 목적으로 여러 해양파 가시화 요소 및 그에 대한 전체적인 재현 방안에 대해 고찰하였다. 이를 위해 우선 해양파 가시화 요소를 해양파 표면, 해양파 부서짐, 상호작용, 광원, 수중 등으로 구분하고, 각 구성 요소별 가시화가 필요한 세부 가시화 요소들을 정리 하였다. 또한 이를 재현하는 과정에서 설계에 반영해야 할 내용들을 사실적 해양파 가시화 및 실시간 해양파 가시화, 선박 운동특성 재현, 시뮬레이터의 활용 관점에서 분석하였다. 분석을 통해, 사실적 해양파 가시화가 몰입감 형성 및 보다 정확한 선박 운동특성 재현, 다양하고 제어 가능한 시뮬레이션 시나리오 생성 등에 중요한 역할을 수행함을 확인하였다. 또한 선박운항 시뮬레이터를 위한 해양파 가시화는 고려해야 할 요소 및 그에 대한 구현 방안, 관련 제약 사항이 많은 만큼 구현 전 종합적이고 체계적인 접근이 필요함을 확인하였다.

        PURPOSES : The use of virtual driving tests to determine actual road driving behavior is increasing. However, the results indicate a gap between real and virtual driving under same road conditions road based on ergonomic factors, such as anxiety and speed. In the future, the use of virtual driving tests is expected to increase. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to analyze the gap between real and virtual driving on same road conditions and to use a calibration formula to allow for higher reliability of virtual driving tests. METHODS : An intelligent driving recorder was used to capture real driving. A driving simulator was used to record virtual driving. Additionally, a virtual driving map was made with the UC-Win/Road software. We gathered data including geometric structure information, driving information, driver information, and road operation information for real driving and virtual driving on the same road conditions. In this study we investigated a range of gaps, driving speeds, and lateral positions, and introduced a calibration formula to the virtual record to achieve the same record as the real driving situation by applying the effects of the main causes of discrepancy between the two (driving speed and lateral position) using a linear regression model. RESULTS: In the virtual driving test, driving speed and lateral position were determined to be higher and bigger than in the real Driving test, respectively. Additionally, the virtual driving test reduces the concentration, anxiety, and reality when compared to the real driving test. The formula includes four variables to produce the calibration: tangent driving speed, curve driving speed, tangent lateral position, and curve lateral position. However, the tangent lateral position was excluded because it was not statistically significant . CONCLUSIONS: The results of analyzing the formula from MPB (mean prediction bias), MAD (mean absolute deviation) is after applying the formula to the virtual driving test, similar to the real driving test so that the formula works. Because this study was conducted on a national, two-way road, the road speed limit was 80 km/h, and the lane width was 3.0-3.5 m. It works in the same condition road restrictively.

        This paper presents PKES(PuKyung -Excel based Simulator) for WWTPs(wastewater treatment plants) by using MS Excel and VBA(Visual Basic for Application). PKES is a user-friendly simulator for the design and optimization of the whole plant including biological and physico-chemical processes for the wastewater and sludge treatment. PKES calculates the performance under steady or dynamic state and allows changing the mathematical model by the user. Mathematical model implemented in PKES is a improved integration model based on ASM2d and ADM1 for simulation of AS(activated sludge) and AD(anaerobic digestion). Gaseous components of N2, N2O, CO2 and CH4 are added for estimation of GHGs(greenhouse gases) emission.The simulation results for comparison between PKES and Aquasim(EAWAG) showed about the same effluent concentrations. As a result of verification using by measured data of BOD, TSS, TN and TP for 2 years of operation, calculated effluent concentrations were similar to measured effluent concentrations. The values of average RMSE(root mean square error) were 1.9, 0.8, 1.6 and 0.2 mg/L for BOD, TSS, TN and TP, respectively. Total GHGs emission of WWTP calculated by PKES was 138.5 ton-CO2/day and GHGs emissions of N2O, CO2 and CH4 were calculated at 21.7, 28.9 and 87.9 ton-CO2/day, respectively. GHGs emission of activated sludge was 32.5 % and that of anaerobic digestion was 67.5 %.

        Recently, Korea Air Force has been facing a lot of problems in its pilot training system such as training time shortage due to the expensive gas price, noise pollution and difficulties in finding airspace for training. To tackle these problems, a new training system (called L-V training system) using both aircraft and its simulator has been suggested. In the system, a data link is established between aircraft and simulator to exchange their flight information. Using the flight information of simulator, aircraft can perform various air missions with or against imaginary aircraft (i.e., simulator). For this system, it is crucially important that fair fighting condition has to be guaranteed between aircraft and simulator. In this paper, we suggested an approach to impose a maneuvering restriction to simulator in order to provide fair fighting condition between aircraft and simulator.

        PURPOSES: This study devotes its energies to estimate greenhouse gas emissions for types of horizontal highway designs. METHODS: This paper suggested two types of road scenarios, scenario 1 is made by the lack of road design consistency. Beside scenario 1, scenario 2 is made by good road design. For comparisons of greenhouse gas emissions, driving simulator was used. RESULTS: Emission rates of road scenario 1 are 1.4 times higher than scenario 2 in the driving simulator. CONCLUSIONS : This study may have important implications for contributing to the application of road alignment technology for reduction of greenhouse gases as quantifying the correlations between greenhouse emissions and various road alignments. Consequently, this study will help road designers determine which roads are best alternatives in the process of choosing the roads in the future in terms of environmental benefits.

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore the first learning experiences of undergraduate nursing students in team based high-fidelity simulation. Methods: The participants in this study were 13 undergraduate students at a university in Korea. The students were place in a setting of high-fidelity simulation to manage neurological patients. Data were collected from August, 2013 to September, 2013, through in-depth interviews and were analyzed on the basis of Colaizzi’s phenomenological methodology. Results: Five essential themes were extracts that were as follows 1) Thoughts about patients through the training manikin 2) Feeling of being engaged in practical training 3) Recognition of the importance of the team and teammates 4) Evaluation and analysis of the education content 5) Prospects of improving the capacity for nursing practice. Conclusion: Although the students experienced simulation practicum for the first time, it was noticeable that they tried to actively utilize their theoretical knowledge on the training high-fidelity manikin during simulation practicum. Also, it was observed that they recognized the importance of cooperating with their teammates through team role-playing, assuming a professional attitude as a result. Furthermore, analysis on the content of the education and self-evaluation would help foster the capacity to provide total care for patients.

        목적 : 본 연구는 운전시뮬레이터를 활용하여 운전면허가 없는 자, 초보 운전자, 2년 이상 경험이 있는 운전자의 운전수행능력을 비교 분석하고, 최근 도입되고 있는 운전시뮬레이터를 통한 평가의 효용성을 확인하고자 한다. 연구방법 : 본 연구는 신체에 이상이 없고 오른손이 우세손인 정상 성인 60명을 대상으로 진행하였다. 운전수행능력을 확인하기 위한 도구로는 운전시뮬레이터(STISIM Drive™ M400 driving almulator)를 이용하였으며 운전수행 후 결과로 제시되는 세 가지 차선유지(차선중심유지, 중앙선 침범, 외측차도침범) 항목에 대한 자료를 기초로 하여 대상자의 운전수행능력 차이를 비교하였다. 운전수행과정은 운전면허가 없는 자(n=20), 초보 운전자(n=20), 2년 이상 경험이 있는 운전자(n=20)로 그룹을 나누어 진행하였으며 시뮬레이터에 내장되어 있는 다양한 시나리오 중 복잡한 도시환경을 사실적으로 묘사한 시나리오(complex city environment)를 이용하여 약 20분 동안 운전과제를 수행하도록 지시하였다. 결과 : 운전면허가 없는 그룹은 초보 운전자 및 2년 이상 경험이 있는 운전자 그룹과 비교했을 때 세 가지 차선유지 항목 모두에서 유의한 차이를 확인할 수 있었다(p<.05). 또한 초보 운전자 그룹의 경우 2년 이상 경험이 있는 운전자 그룹과 비교했을 때 차선중심유지 및 중앙선침범 항목에서는 유의한 차이가 없었던(p>.05) 반면 외측차도침범 항목에서는 유의한 차이를 확인할 수 있었다(p<.05). 결론 : 본 연구결과 사실적인 운전경험은 시뮬레이터의 운전 시나리오 수행능력에 유의한 차이를 보여주는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구결과를 통해 운전시뮬레이터는 운전능력에 문제를 갖고 있는 대상자에게 적용하는데 부분적 효용성을 갖고 있다고 기대할 수 있겠다.

        해상에서는 선박 운항과 관련하여 크고 작은 해양사고가 지속적으로 발생하고 있으며, 이러한 해양사고는 소중한 인명의 사상과 재산상의 손실뿐만 아니라 심각한 해양환경 오염 피해를 유발하고 있다. 그리고 해상물동량 증가 및 교통 환경의 복잡화에 따른 해양사고 발생 개연성 및 사고로 인하여 해양오염 피해가 증가하고 있는 것 또한 사실이다. 최근 우리나라에서는 이러한 해상에서의 해상교통 안전성 평가를 위하여 대상해역에서의 해상교통환경과 관련된 일반적인 정보 및 위험도 정보를 제공하고, 해상교통환경 평가를 통한 해역 위험도 여부를 평가할 수 있는 평가지표 개발이 진행 중이다. 본 연구에서는 선박운항자의 위험의식을 바탕으로 하여 다양한 운항 조건에서 선박운항을 재현할 수 있는 선박조종 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 해상교통 평가의 유효성을 확인하고자 하였다. 이러한 시뮬레이션 결과에 대한 주관적 위험도의 측정이 통항선박의 해상교통 평가의 유효성을 대표하는지를 확인하기 위하여 분산분석법을 이용하여 선박운항자의 특성과 선박간 거리, 속력, 조우형태와 같은 각 요소들 간에 차이가 존재하는지를 분석하였다. 또한 각 요소들 간의 위험도 차이 정도를 다중비교를 통하여 분석하여 위험도 차이를 통계적 측면에서 수치의 변화를 확인할 수 있었다.

The simulator developed using commercial simulation tool ARENA and the results of computational experiments for a simple example were given and discussed to validate the developed simulator. The simulator can be used to decide an realistic production-distribution planning in the area.
