조립질 퇴적물의 근원지에 관한 정보를 제공할 뿐만 아니라 유용 광물자원으로서의 가치를 지 니는 황해남동니질대와 제주남서니질대 표층퇴적물 내 중광물의 특성을 비교 연구하였다. 두 지역에 서 각각 28개씩 시료를 선정하여 중광물을 분리한 후 실체현미경과 주사전자현미경 관찰, 에너지 분 산형 분광분석과 전자현미분석을 실시하였다. 각섬석과 녹염석은 연구지역에서 주된 중광물로서 두 광물의 합계 함량이 70% 이상을 점유한다. 저어콘과 스핀은 황해남동니질대에서, 인회석과 금홍석은 제주남서니질대에서 상대적으로 많은 함량을 나타내며, 모나자이트는 황해남동니질대 일부 지역에서 만 산출된다. 스핀과 모나자이트 함량은 황해남동니질대 북부에서 남부로 갈수록 감소하는 경향을 보 여준다. 황해남동니질대는 낮은 석류석-저어콘 지수와 금홍석-저어콘 지수를 가지는데 반하여, 제주남 서니질대는 높은 석류석-저어콘 지수와 금홍석-저어콘 지수를 가진다. 각섬석의 경우 황해남동니질대 는 대부분 보통각섬석에 해당되지만, 제주남서니질대는 파가사이트, 처마카이트, 보통각섬석, 투각섬 석 등 다양한 조성을 가진다. 황해남동니질대 지역의 석류석은 높은 Mg와 낮은 Ca 함량을, 제주남서 니질대 지역 석류석은 낮은 Mg와 다양한 Ca 함량을 가진다. 이와 같이 두 지역의 중광물 특성이 서 로 다른 것은 두 지역의 퇴적물 기원지가 다르다는 것을 지시한다. 황해남동니질대의 퇴적물 기원지 는 인접한 한반도의 서해안으로 유입되는 하천 퇴적물인 것으로 여겨지나, 추후 황해로 유입되는 강 퇴적물과 해양 퇴적물에 대한 추가적인 중광물 연구가 진행되어야만 정확한 기원지와 퇴적과정에 대 한 해석을 할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

In order to illustrate the flora of vascular plants distributed in the Five West Sea Islands, the authors collected vascular plants intensively in Baengnyeongdo and Socheongdo from May 2015 to August 2015. Also, voucher specimens from the previous investigations (Daecheongdo, Yeonpyeongdo and Soyeonpyeongdo) deposited at the Korean National Arboretum (KH) were re-identified. All of them were comprised of 108 families, 420 genera, 728 species, 6 subspecies, 86 varieties and 14 forms, totally 834 taxa. There were 8 endemic taxa, 19 rare taxa, 27 taxa for floristically specific to Korean floral zone except the species of their 1st and 2nd degree, and 107 naturalized taxa among the collected plants. Owing to their unusual phytogeography and low number of populations, the taxa Rosa maximowicziana Regel, Allium anisopodium Ledeb., Bistorta pacifica (Petrov ex Kom.) Kom., Scorzonera austriaca subsp. glabra (Rupr.) Lipsch. & Krasch. ex Lipsch., Iris dichotoma Pall., Amsonia elliptica (Thunb.) Roem. & Schult. were considered the most important. Based on these results, it is clear that appropriate plants to conserve the natural habitat of the Five West Sea Islands must be made immediately.

겨울철 한반도와 부근 해역은 대륙에서 발달하는 시베리아고기압과 해양에서 발달하는 알류샨저기압으로 형성되는 전형적인 서고동저형의 기압배치의 영향을 많이 받는다. 이 기압배치의 영향으로 우리나라와 주변 해역, 특히 서해에서는 강한 서풍 내지 북서풍의 계절풍과 강한 바람에 의한 높은 파랑, 폭설 등을 동반하는 악기상이 빈번히 발생한다. 이 연구에서는 겨울철에 서해에서 활동하는 국가어업지도선의 안전한 피항지를 선정하기 위하여 11년간 (1994-2004년)의 지상일기도를 분석하여 온대저기압의 주요 이동경로를 구분하였다. 그리고 온대저기압의 이동경로별로 섬들의 지형적 특성, 수심, 저질의 상대, 조류의 영향 및 어망의 분포 등을 조사하고, 그 결과를 이용하여 서해에서 활동하는 국가어업지도선의 안전한 피항지를 선정하였다.

As the tideland reclamation is done on a large scale these days, construction work is active in the coastal areas. Facilities in the coastal areas must be built with the tide characteristics taken into consideration. Thus the tide characteristics affect the overall reclamation plan. The analysis of the tide data boils down to a harmonic analysis of the hourly changes of long-term tide data and extraction of unharmonic coefficients from the results. Since considerable amount of tide data for the West Coast are available, the existing data can be collected and can be used to obtain the temporal changes of the tide by being fitted into the tide prediction model. The goal of this thesis lies in assessing whether the mean sea level used in the field agrees with the analysis results from the long-term observation data obtained with their homogeneity guaranteed. To achieve this goal, the research was conducted as follows. First the present conditions of the observation stations, the land level standard, and the sea level standard were surveyed to derive a vertical standard. Then the causes for the changes in the mean sea level were analyzed to set up a time series model formula for representing them. To secure the homogeneity of the time series, each component was separated. Lastly the mean sea level used in the field was assessed based on the results obtained from the analysis of the time series.
