        It is necessary to develop a device for the design of wet scrubber with a more efficient deodorization performance in order to enhance the odor reducing effect of the wet scrubber. Therefore in this study, the superiority of the new wet scrubber with the centrifugal separation function different from the conventional wet scrubber was analyzed by the computational fluid dynamics. From CFD analysis, the pressure and velocity distribution, the peak vorticity, the retention time and the flow uniformity were calculated and compared with the performance characteristics of the centrifugal separator. As the results of CFD analysis, the peak vorticity and retention time of the gas flow were increased about 22% and the flow uniformity was improved about 7.2% by the centrifugal separator. Therefore the centrifugal separator in the wet scrubber will improve the deodorizing effect and the cleaning condition of the gas.

        본 연구는 중·소형 선박의 배가스에 포함되어 있는 황산화물 및 질소산화물을 처리하기 위한 습식 스크러버의 처리효율에 관한 내용이다. 실험은 질소산화물 기술문서(NOX Technical Code)의 E3 모드에 준해서 진행하였다. 엔진에서 황산화물을 배출하기 위해서, 연료로 사용되는 경유에 ditertiarybutyldusulfide를 혼합하여 황 함유량을 높인 연료로 실험을 진행하였다. 배가스 내의 질소산화 물의 대부분을 차지하는 NO가스는 NO2로 산화시켜 습식 스크러버로 흡수하였으며, 황산화물인 SO2는 세정액에 잘 흡수되어 100% 처리효율을 확인하였다.

        The experiment was performed for in order to remove NOx which is generated in the Ship's engine. it was performed test in order to remove NOx which is generated in the Ship's engine. It was used as the oxidizing agent sodium chlorite. Use the oxidizer is nitrogen monoxide was oxidized to nitrogen dioxide. and was tested pH adjustment to increase the efficiency of oxidizing. An aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide was used for the nitrogen dioxide absorbent. Low concentration of the solution, it showed a high efficiency. improves the absorption efficiency by add additives.

        In recent years, researchers have put a considerable effort to decrease the emission of harmful gaseous pollutants to the atmosphere. In order to remove simultaneously SO₂ and NOx from the flue gas of small and medium-sized ship, we designed minimal wet scrubber inside a compact multistage modular system. In this study we proceed experiment of elemental technology at each stage of the scrubber. The each stage is oxidation of NO which is the main component of NOx, and removal of SO₂, respectively. NaClO₂ was used to oxidize NO gas, and NaOH was used to remove SO₂gas. The maximum NO conversion efficiency and the SO₂ removal ficiency are both indicate 100%.

        지구온난화 문제와 유기성 폐기물의 처리문제는 해결이 시급한 환경문제이며, 바이오가스는 이러한 문제를 동시에 해결할 수 있는 장점으로 크게 주목받고 있다. 그러나 바이오가스 중에 함유된 황화수소나 암모니아는 발전설비의 부식 및 대기오염을 유발하기 때문에 전처리가 필수적이다. 기체상 오염물질의 처리를 위한 다양한 기술 중 수세정(scrubber)은 기액간의 접촉을 유도하여 액상으로 오염물질을 흡수 및 제거하는 기술로 널리 활용되고 있는 기술이다. 또한 황화수소나 암모니아는 물에 대한 용해성이 높기 때문에 수세정 공정을 활용하기 유리하다. 그러나 고농도의 황화수소나 암모니아를 효율적으로 처리하기 위해 가성소다 등의 약품을 세정액에 용해시켜 활용하는 것은 세정 후 약액의 2차 처리문제를 야기한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 수세정공정에 전기화학적으로 생성된 free chlorine을 유입시켜 흡수된 황화수소 및 암모니아를 산화함으로써 물질전달률을 높일 수 있도록 하고자 하였다. 이를 위해서는 황화수소와 암모니아의 물질전달률의 평가가 필수적이며, 본 연구에서는 10mM의 NaCl이 용해된 수용액에 1,000 ppm의 황화수소와 암모니아가 4 L/min의 유량으로 단독으로 유입될 때와 동시에 유입될 때의 물질전달계수를 비교하였다. 수용액의 pH가 8일 때 황화수소 단독 물질전달계수(KLa-H2S)는 0.1214 min-1이고, 암모니아 단독 물질전달계수(KLa-NH3)는 9.9×10-5 min-1으로 산정되었다. 그러나 황화수소와 암모니아 각 1,000 ppm이 동시에 유입되었을 때 KLa-H2S는 0.2247 min-1, KLa-NH3는 1.6×10-4 min-1으로 물질전달속도가 상승하였다. 따라서 수세정 공정에서 황화수소와 암모니아의 동시유입이 제거율의 향상에 도움이 되는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, free chlorine에 의해 액상 황화수소와 암모니아가 제거된다면 추가적인 물질전달계수의 향상이 가능하다.

        In this study, GC-MS linked with an automatic thermal desorber was used to quantitatively analyze the odorous and volatile compounds in the gas emitted from a sewage sludge drying facility. In addition, the removal characteristics of these compounds were investigated by using a pilot-scale packed bed wet scrubber. A quantitative analysis for 58 odorous and volatile compounds in the gas was successfully achieved with GC-MS and GC-FPD. The a quantitative analysis revealed the major odorous compounds were hydrogen sulfide and acetaldehyde. In addition, D-type siloxane compounds such as octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4), decamethylcyclopentasiloxane (D5), and dodecamethylcyclohexasiloxane (D6), were quantitatively measured. The concentrations of siloxane compounds measured in the gas were in the range of 4.54- 7.36 ppmv, higher than those in landfill gas. The average removal efficiency of the odorous and volatile compounds in a wet scrubber was 67.37%. D4, D5, and D6, which are hydrophobic compounds, were also removed by as much as 50.68%, 44.56%, and 70.26%, respectively.

        The objective of this work was to treat complex mal-odor of food waste with micro-bubbles from enhanced wet scrubber system, where the pilot plant was operated. Micro bubbles from the enhanced reactor of venturi scrubber were successfully generated through the air atomizing process with high velocity more than 60 m/sec and played an important role in the removal of mal-odor. Mal-odor was effectively changed into the micro-bubble and treated with washing chemicals together. Through establishing two series connection of the reactors, 85.2 % removal efficiency of complex mal-odor was obtained in case of average 940 times of input air. 0.35 kg/hr of sulfuric acid, 0.188 kg/hr of sodium hydroxide and 0.043 kg/hr of hypochlorite were injected for chemical washing.

        The photodegradation and by-products of the gaseous toluene with TiO2 (P25) and short-wavelength UV (UV254+185nm) radiation were studied. The toluene was decomposed and mineralized efficiently owed to the synergistic effect of photochemical oxidation in the gas phase and photocatalytic oxidation on the TiO2 surface. The toluene by the UV254+185nm photoirradiated TiO2 were mainly mineralized CO2 and CO, but some water-soluble organic intermediates were also formed under severe reaction conditions. The ozone and secondary organic aerosol were produced as undesirable by-products. It was found that wet scrubber was useful as post-treatment to remove water-soluble organic intermediates. Excess ozone could be easily removed by means of a MnO2 ozone-decomposition catalyst. It was also observed that the MnO2 catalyst could decompose organic compounds by using oxygen reactive species formed in process of ozone decomposition.
