        PURPOSES : This study was purposed to identify the relationships between route characteristics and accident characteristics using the data of 124 routes collected from 78 of the 136 Seoul Neighborhood bus companies. METHODS : A structural equation modeling technique was employed for the analysis. The following four factors that were determined to influence the characteristics of Neighborhood bus accidents were implemented: driver characteristics, route characteristics, driver working conditions, and the management conditions of each company. Additionally, the two dependent variables were set as vehicle to vehicle accidents and vehicle to pedestrian accidents. RESULTS : The results of factor analysis revealed that the management conditions of each company had a negative effect on the working conditions, and that driver characteristics had a negative influence on accident characteristics in the three models. The effects of three major factors such as route characteristics, management conditions of the company, and working conditions on vehicle-to-vehicle accidents were likely to be opposite to the influences on vehicle-to-pedestrian accidents. CONCLUSIONS : Through the analysis of these results, we identified the characteristic causes of Neighborhood bus accidents. Specifically, a driver with more experience is less likely to be involved in a Neighborhood bus accident, and a narrower road is associated with higher accident risk. These results can be used as a reference to improve route and safety management for Neighborhood buses. Furthermore, this study is expected to contribute to the establishment of improved strategies to effectively reduce the number of Neighborhood bus accidents.

        본 연구의 목적은 실제 선박 충돌사고 사례를 조사하여 선박 충돌상황에서 충돌 원인별 선장 및 당직 해기사의 인적과실 유발 요인을 통계적으로 분석하여 규명함으로써 해기사의 선박 충돌예방에 기여하고자 하는 것이다. 연구대상은 2010년부터 2016년까지 7년 동 안의 상선과 상선, 상선과 어선 간의 선박 충돌사고 중 분석기준에 적합한 총 109건 218척(피항선109척, 유지선 109척)을 대상으로 하였으 며 선종, 피항선과 유지선, 인적과실 측면의 충돌원인 등의 항목으로 구분하여 데이터를 수집하였고 상선에서 해기사의 충돌사고 유발 요 인 규명에 중점을 두고 통계분석 도구인 SPSS를 이용하여 빈도분석과 교차분석을 실시하여 해기사의 인적과실 유발요인을 도출하였다. 분석결과 피항선에서는 레이다 감시를 포함한 경계소홀(74.3%) 및 상대선 지속관찰 소홀(17.4%) 순 이었으며, 유지선 에서는 적절한 피항 협력동작 미 이행(63.3%)이 주요 요인이었다. 특히 상선의 경계소홀 유형 대부분이 상대선 초인 후 지속관찰을 소홀히 한 점이며 미 경계 원인과 당직근무 태만의 공통요인은 항해당직 시간에 다른 업무에 치중하였기 때문인 것으로 나타났다.

        We present our AKARI study of massive star forming regions where a large-scale cloud-cloud collision possibly contributes to massive star formation. Our targets are Spitzer bubbles, which consist of two types of bubbles, closed and broken ones; the latter is a candidate of the objects created by cloud-cloud collisions. We performed mid- and far-infrared surface photometry toward Spitzer bubbles to obtain the relationship between the total infrared luminosity, LIR, and the bubble radius, R. As a result, we nd that LIR is roughly proportional to R where = 2:10:4. Broken bubbles tend to have larger radii than closed bubbles for the same LIR.

        For the safety and cost reduction in the navigation, the automatic and intelligent system has been developed for the vessel, and the most important factor in the system is to decide the collision risk exactly. In this paper, we propose an advanced collision risk decision system for collision avoidance of the system. The conventional researches using DCPA and TCPA for calculating the collision risk have a problem to produce a same collision risk regardless of bearings for the ships, if they are located in the same distance from own ship. To solve this problem, in addition to DCPA and TCPA, we introduce the factor of VCD(variation of compass degree) and constant, CR which derived from COLREG'72(International Regulation for Preventing Collision at Sea, 1972) for evaluating the collision risk including even the burden of own ship navigator due to the encountering angle of each vessels. We decided the collision risk legally by the rule considering the relative situation of vessels. And therefore, the proposed system has two advantages, of which one is to produce more detail collision risk and another is to reflect the real underway situation in conformity with the rule.

        본 연구는 청주시 4지 신호교차로에서 발생한 측면직각 충돌사고를 다루고 있다. 연구의 목적은 측면직각 충돌사고의 특성을 분석하고, 순서형 프로빗 모형을 이용하여 사고의 심각도에 영향을 주는 사고요인을 파악하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 2004년과 2005년의 2년간 181개 교차로에서 발생한 580건의 측면직각 충돌사고 자료를 이용한다. 사고특성 분석결과, 야간과 직진 중에 가장 많은 교통사고가 발생하였으며, 주된 원인은 신호위반으로 밝혀졌다. 사고심각도 모형개발의 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 모형의 적합도를 나타내는 우도비(σ2)값은 0.094이며, 변수의 적합성을 나타내는 t-ratio 값은 모두 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 측면직각 충돌사고의 심각도에 영향을 미치는 변수로는 부도로 교통량, 부도로 차로수, 주도로 좌회전차로, 주도로 좌회전신호유무, 주도로 황색신호시간, 교차각, 주도로 부도로 제한속도가 선정되었다.

        점성과 충돌이 있는 강착원반의 확산 과정을 생각한다. 이때 확산계수는 단순하게 1/√r로 비례한다. 강착원반의 난류에 의해서 각운동량은 외부로 수송된다. 파동도 또한 내부에서 외부로 전달되므로 강착원반은 불안정한 방향으로 진행된다.

        The time-dependence of an α-disk model under the influence of collisions of particles is examined. Collisions with viscosity tend to take away angular momentum. Both effects cause the disk to rotate more rapidly. The disk gradually contracts with increasing time.

        The A-X (0-0) band of CS, which appears in high dispersion IUE spectra of comets Halley (1982i) and Wilson (19861), has been investigated in detail. We developed models, which include fluorescence and collisional processes We found that in order to account for the observed emission band precisely, IUE tracking errors should be included in line shape calculations it has been found that rotational excitation by electrons is a dominant process in determining populations of rotational ground states. We derived an electron density of 2.0×104/cm3 2.0×104/cm3 at several thousand kilometers from the comet Wilson's nucleus by examining collisional influence on the CS band structure. We presented a band model for the 0-0 band of C34S C34S and discussed the detectability of 34S 34S spectroscopically.

        Several optical monitoring strategies by a ground-based telescope to protect a Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) satellite from collisions with close approaching objects were investigated. Geostationary Transfer Orbit (GTO) objects, Inclined GeoSynchronous Orbit (IGSO) objects, and drifted GEO objects forced by natural perturbations are hazardous to operational GEO satellites regarding issues related to close approaches. The status of these objects was analyzed on the basis of their orbital characteristics in Two-Line Element (TLE) data from the Joint Space Operation Center (JSpOC). We confirmed the conjunction probability with all catalogued objects for the domestic operational GEO satellite, Communication, Ocean and Meteorological Satellite (COMS) using the Conjunction Analysis Tools by Analytical Graphics, Inc (AGI). The longitudinal drift rates of GeoSynchronous Orbit (GSO) objects were calculated, with an analytic method and they were confirmed using the Systems Tool Kit by AGI. The required monitoring area was determined from the expected drift duration and inclination of the simulated target. The optical monitoring strategy for the target area was analyzed through the orbit determination accuracy. For this purpose, the close approach of Russian satellite Raduga 1-7 to Korean COMS in 2011 was selected.

        The collisions at sea among marine casualties are not reduced as the tonnage and speed of ship's increase as well as the traffic quantity increase at sea, in spite of the improvement of nautical equipment, enforcement of crew's education and training as well as improvement of quality standard according to the implementation of ISM code. The measures to prevent the collisions at sea are simple, and are composed of six stage.: The first stage is that the officer on duty detect the target from his eye or radar information. The second stage is determining the type and kind of target-ship. The third stage is target tracking; calculation of target speed, course, CPA and TCPA from radar information or visual check. The fourth stage is determination of vessel in danger after calculation of third stage. The fifth stage is the judgement of situation if own ship is stand-on or give way vessel according to the 1972 COLREG. The last stage is to carry out proper action according to 1972 COLREG, under the circumstances. But by the case, the situations are so different under the different external conditions; for example, natural/navigational conditions, crew's human factors, ship's particular, rule or regulation, management system on board, the condition of watch keeping. Therefore the reasons and casualties are so complicated. This study aims to investigate the collision casualty at sea which needs to clarity all these causal factors of afore-mentioned, and to analyze the causes of problems so as to utilize them to establish the measures of preventing marine accidents. This study, described the concepts of causal factors into three groups; environmental factor, and company/on board management system and navigator's act. Also described how to investigate and analyzes the casual factors. Even though it was described in this paper how to detect the causal factors and reasons of collisions, and how to analyze the inter-relation of each causal factors, it is necessary to do further study how to analyze between the liability of concerned parties and the casual factors involved.

        For traffic proceeding in random directions on a plane surface the frequency of collision, if no avoiding action in taken ,is approximately proportional to the square of the traffic density and directly proportional to the size and speed of the ship, Avoiding is normally taken and the rte of collisions is therefore also governed by additional factors such as the visibility, the effectiveness of the collisionavoidance rules, the competence of personnel or watchkeeping attitude, the maneuverability of the ship and the efficiency of radar and other equipments. From the viewpoint of watchkeeper who is responsible for maneuvering, watchkeeping attitude such as lookout and action to avoid collision is the most controllable factor among those mentioned above. In practice, according to the investigation of the institution of marine courts, about 50% co collisions occurred is caused by disorbedience to steering and sailing rules of international regulations for preventing collision at sea including lookout. So we classify the process of collisions with first sight of another ship , assessment of risk of collisions and action to avoid collisions and make a factural survey about lookout and action to avoid collisions from the point on "time" and " distance", namely relationship among ship's size, speed, first sight time of another ship, action to avoid collisions ,and distance from sight of another ship to collision occurred. According to the results of the actual survey , we come to conclude that most of collisions occurred are due to improper lookout and ineffective action to avoid collision which means time lag from first sight of another ship to time of action taken to avoid collision is relatively long. is relatively long.
