        노지재배 ‘부지화’ 나무의 동해를 경감시키기 위해 피복재로 타이벡, 위드스톱, 35% 차광망을 사용하여 피복재 내, 외부 온도와 상대습도 변화를 평가하였다. 한파 시 피복에 따른 보온 정도와 잎의 LT50을 조사하였다. 타이벡은 1.5m에서 피복 재 내부와 외부의 온도 차이는 낮았고 0.4m에서는 높았다. 상대습도는 주야간 차이가 컸으며 오전 6-8시에 높았다. -2℃일 때 24시간 타이벡 피복은 수관 1.5m에서 무처리보다 적산온도가 3.4℃ 높았다. 잎의 LT50은 타이벡 1.51℃, 위드스톱 1.33℃, 35% 차광망은 1.61℃로 무처리보다 낮았다. 타이벡의 수관 내 보온효과와 상대습도를 고려할 때 환기를 위한 미세한 천공 후 ‘부지화’ 나무에 피복시 동해 발생을 줄일 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

        휘어지며 투명한 전자기기의 개발을 위해서 최근 유기반도체, 탄소기반 나노소재, 금속산화물 반도체등의 다양한 신소재 반도체 개발에 대한 연구가 관심을 받으며 지속적으로 발전하고 있다. 그러나, 이러한 신소재 반도체 기술의 꾸준하고 지속적인 발전에도 불구하고 트랜지스터를 구성하는 주요 소재중 하나인 유전체에 대한 연구는 반도체의 개발속도에 크게 미치지 못하여, 기계적인 휘어짐의 특성을 갖추고, 높은 캐패시턴스와 좋은 누전전류 특성을 갖는 새로운 유전체 개발에 대한 요구가 지속적으로 커지고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 저전압에서 구동 가능한 박막트랜지스터를 위한 유기-무기 하이브리드소재 박막을 개발하며 이를 저전압 구동이 가능한 유기박막트랜지스터에 적용하였다. 상대적으로 높은 유전상수를 갖는 염화하프늄 (HfO2)과 소수성기를 갖고 있으며 금속산화물과 공유결합이 가능한 실란산 기반의 유기물 (octadecyltrimethoxysilane)을 혼합한 전구체 용액을 합성하며 상대적으로 낮은 온도에서 열처리를 통해 얻을 수 있었다. 제조된 하이브리드 게이트 유전체 박막은 우수한 절연 및 유전체 특성과 함께 소수성 표면 특성을 가질 수 있었고 펜타센 유기박막트랜지스터로 응용하여 저전압에서 구동이 되며 우수한 트랜지스터 성능을 갖는 소자를 개발하였다.

        Intercropping cereals with legumes is known to improve forage production and crude protein yield. Sorghum × sudangrass hybrids (SSH) have excellent dry matter content and high cultivation temperatures. In this study, we investigated the growth characteristics, forage productivity, and feed value of intercropping SSH with different legumes in rice paddy fields. We used five treatments in this study SSH monocropping and four intercropping treatments of SSH with, lablab, cowpea, sesbania, and two cultivars of soybean (Chookdu 1 and 2). SSH plant height was not significantly different between the monocropping and intercropping treatments. However, the plant heights of lablab, cowpea, and sesbania were significantly higher than those of the two soybean cultivars. The total dry matter yield (kg/ha) was significantly higher in SSH monocropping than in intercropping; among the intercropping treatments, the one with SSH and Chookdu 2 yielded the highest total dry matter yield. The SSH feed value was significantly different between the monocropping and intercropping treatments, although there were no differences between the intercropping treatments. Among the intercropped legumes, lablab showed the highest neutral detergent fiber and acid detergent fiber contents, and cowpea had the highest crude protein content. These results reveal that intercropping SSH with legumes in paddy fields could be a promising cultivation technique to maintain stable forage productivity.

        Metal halide perovskite nanocrystals, due to their high absorption coefficient, high diffusion length, and photoluminescence quantum yield, have received significant attention in the fields of optoelectronic applications such as highly efficient photovoltaic cells and narrow-line-width light emitting diodes. Their energy band structure can be controlled via chemical exchange of the halide anion or monovalent cations in the perovskite nanocrystals. Recently, it has been demonstrated that chemical exfoliation of the halide perovskite crystal structure can be achieved by addition of organic ligands such as noctylamine during the synthetic process. In this study, we systematically investigated the quantum confinement effect of methylammonium lead bromide (CH3NH3PbBr3, MAPbBr3) nanocrystals by precise control of the crystal thickness via chemical exfoliation using n-octylammonium bromide (OABr). We found that the crystalline thickness consistently decreases with increasing amounts of OABr, which has a larger ionic radius than that of CH3NH3 + ions. In particular, a significant quantum confinement effect is observed when the amounts of OABr are higher than 60 %, which exhibited a blue-shifted PL emission (~ 100 nm) as well as an increase of energy bandgap (~ 1.53 eV).

        In this study, In order to apply the U-flanged truss hybrid beam to the actual construction site, the structural design of the basic module of the middle and low-rise neighborhood living facilities was performed according to the Korea Design Standard, and the construction cost and construction period were compared with the traditional reinforced concrete structure system. As a result of analyzing the construction cost for the basic module, if the U-flanged truss hybrid beam and D-Deck slab system are used, the construction cost can be reduced by 86% compared to the traditional reinforced concrete structure system. In addition, as a result of analyzing the construction period for a floor area of 1,000m2, using the U-flanged truss hybrid beam and D-Deck slab system can save 2.0days in construction period compared to the traditional reinforced concrete structure system. Therefore, the U-flange truss hybrid beam can secure sufficient economic feasibility compared to the existing reinforced concrete method in terms of cost reduction and shortening of construction period.

        Many Korean domestic masonry structures constructed since 1970 have been found to be vulnerable to earthquakes because they lack efficient lateral force resistance. Many studies have shown that the brick and mortar suddenly experience brittle fracture and out-of-plane collapse when they reach the inelastic range. This study evaluated the seismic retrofitting of non-reinforced masonry with Hybrid Super Coating (HSC) and Cast, manufactured using glass fiber. Four types of specimen original specimen (BR-OR), one layered HSC (BR-HS-O), two-layered HSC (BR-HS-B), one layered HSC, and Cast (BR-CT-HS-O) were constructed and analyzed using compression, flexural tensile, diagonal compression, and triplet tests. The specimen responses were presented and discussed in load-displacement curves, maximum strength, and crack propagation. The compressive strength of the retrofit specimens slightly increased, while the flexural tensile strength of the retrofit specimens increased significantly. In addition, the HSC and Cast also produced a considerable increase in the ductile response of specimens before failure. Diagonal compression test results showed that HSC delayed brittle cracks between the mortar and bricks and resulted in larger displacement before failure than the original brick. The triplet test results confirmed that the bonding strength of the retrofit specimens also increased. The application of HSC and Cast was found to restrain the occurrence of brittle failure effectively and delayed the collapse of masonry wall structures.

        Carbon nanotube (CNT) grafted with hyperbranched poly(amidoamine) (PAMAM) dendrimer (CNTD) were used as a multifunctional curing and composite agent of polyurethane (PU) terminated with epoxy units. Amino-functionalized CNT was used as the core for grafting the first generation of PAMAM dendrimer by sequential addition of methyl acrylate and ethylenediamine. Two different epoxy-terminated PUs (PUB and PU-PMDA) were prepared from the reaction of poly(ethylene glycol), excess amounts of hexamethylene diisocyanate, and different chain extenders (1,4-butanediol for PUB and pyromellitic dianhydride (PMDA) for PU-PMDA), and subsequent end group transformation of the isocyanate groups to epoxy functionalities using glycidol. Fourier transform infrared spectra and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) results showed that CNTD was successfully prepared. TGA thermograms revealed that thermal decomposition of composites were carried out in two main steps related to the soft and hard segments. In addition, char content and thermal stability of the composites were increased with increasing the CNTD content. Most importantly, the PMDA chain extender resulted in high thermal stability of the epoxy-terminated PU composites. X-ray diffraction and scanning and transmission electron microscopies presented morphological and structural properties of nanotubes and hybrid composites.

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to clarify the definition of ‘death attitude’ reflecting the passage of time and socio-cultural context through conceptual analysis . Method: The concept of ‘death attitude’ was analyzed using a hybrid model to clarify the concept's properties and definition. For theoretical analysis, literature published from 2016 to 2021 was searched and a total of 33 articles including 25 domestic and 8 foreign studies were analysed. For a field study, seven adults were interviewed in May-June, 2021. Result: The domain of ‘death attitude’ concept were deduced into positive, neutral, and negative domains. At the field research stage, 'how to relieve the burden on those left behind' under the 'escape' attribute, 'no time to think about death' under the 'avoidance' attribute, and 'anxiety about unexpected death' under the 'anxiety' attribute were newly discovered. Conclusions: ‘Death attitude’ is a positive, neutral, or negative attitude toward death according to multuple characteristics such as demographics, spiritual well-being, direct or indirect experiences of death, or death-related educational experiences. Death attitude affects quality of life, meaning of life, and end-of-life care. It is important for nurses to be aware of their own death attitudes in order to provide quality end-of-life care to patients and their families.

        ‘Pink Bell’ 품종은 초세가 강건하고 잎마름병 및 엽소피해에 강하며 꽃이 큰 백합 신품종을 개발하기 위하여 2010년도에 충남농업기술원 태안백합시험장에서 종간교배한 OT(Oriental hybrid × Trumpet hybrid)백합이다. 교배모본으로는 복색(백색+적색)의 OT백합 ‘Nymph’ 품종을, 부본으로는 백색의 오리 엔탈백합 ‘Rialto’ 품종을 주두절단수분법으로 교배하여 종자배양을 하였고 2011년부터 2013년까지 인편배양을 통한 증식 및 하우스에 육묘에 의하여 구근생산을 하였으며, 2014년도에 우수계통(OT14-4)으로 선발하였다. 2017년부터 2019년도까지 3년동안 ‘Nymph’ 품종을 대조품종으로 하여 자연재배를 통한 특성검정을 실시하였으며, 2018년 화훼연구소의 백합 육성계 통 평가회을 통해서 최종 선발되어 ‘Pink Bell’로 명명한 후 충 청남도종자위원회 심사를 거쳐 국립종자원에 품종보호출원을 하였다. ‘Pink Bell’ 품종의 자연개화는 중부지역에서 6월 18일로 ‘Nymph’ 품종과 별차이가 없었고 초장은 150.6츠로 큰 편이었다. 분홍색 반점에 복색(백색+분홍)의 꽃색과 사발모양의 화형을 나타내었다. 재배에 있어서는 생육단계별 영양분 시비, 잎마름병과 진딧물 등 병해충 방제와 및 하우스 환기 등 주기적인 재배관리로 고품질의 절화생산이 가능하다.

        Iron-based amorphous powder attracts increasing attention because of its excellent soft magnetic properties and low iron loss at high frequencies. The development of an insulating layer on the surface of the amorphous soft magnetic powder is important for minimizing the eddy current loss and enhancing the energy efficiency of highfrequency devices by further increasing the electrical resistivity of the cores. In this study, a hybrid insulating coating layer is investigated to compensate for the limitations of monolithic organic or inorganic coating layers. Fe2O3 nanoparticles are added to the flexible silicon-based epoxy layer to prevent magnetic dilution; in addition TiO2 nanoparticles are added to enhance the mechanical durability of the coating layer. In the hybrid coating layer with optimal composition, the decrease in magnetic permeability and saturation magnetization is suppressed.

        This paper describes an adaptive hybrid evolutionary firefly algorithm for a topology optimization of truss structures. The truss topology optimization problems begins with a ground structure which is composed of all possible nodes and members. The optimization process aims to find the optimum layout of the truss members. The hybrid metaheuristics are then used to minimize the objective functions subjected to static or dynamic constraints. Several numerical examples are examined for the validity of the present method. The performance results are compared with those of other metaheuristic algorithms.

        For the practical application of U-flanged Truss Hybrid beams, the flexural capacity of hybrid beams with end reinforcement details using vertical steel plates was verified. The bending test of U-flanged Truss Hybrid beams was performed using the same top chord under the compressive force, but with the thickness of the bottom plate and the amount of tensile reinforcement. The initial stiffness and maximum load of the specimen with tensile reinforcement have a higher value than that of the specimen without tension reinforcement, but the more tensile reinforcement, the greater the load decrease after the maximum load. In the case of the specimen with tensile reinforcement, because the test result value is 76% to 88% when compared with the flexural strength according to Korea Design Code, the safety of the U-flanged Truss Hybrid beam with the same details of the specimens can’t ensure. Therefore, the development of new details is required to ensure that the bottom steel plate and the tensile reinforcement can undergo sufficient tensile deformation.

        This study aimed to determine the trend in dry matter yield (DMY) of a new sorghum-sudangrass hybrid (SSH) in the central inland regions of Korea. The metadata (n=388) were collected from various reports of the experiments examining the adaptability of this new variety conducted by the Rural Development Administration (1988–2013). To determine the trend, the parameters of autoregressive (AR) and moving average (MA) were estimated from correlogram of Autocorrelation function (ACF) and partial ACF (PACF) using time series modeling. The results showed that the trend increased slightly year by year. Furthermore, ARIMA (1, 1, 0) was found to be the optimal model to describe the historical trend. This means that the trend in the DMY of the SSH was associated with changes over the past two years but not with changes from three years ago. Although climatic variables, such as temperature, precipitation, and sunshine were also considered as environmental factors for the annual trends, no clear association was observed between DMY and climates. Therefore, more precise processing and detailed definition of climate considering specific growth stages are required to validate this association. In particular, research on the impact of heavy rainfall and typhoons, which are expected to cause damage in the short term, on DMY trends is ongoing, and the model confirmed in this study is expected to play an important role in studying this aspect. Furthermore, we plan to add the environmental factors such as soil and cultivation management as well as climate to our future studies.
