        Most of the data envelopment analysis (DEA) models evaluate the relative efficiency of a decision making unit (DMU) based on the assumption that inputs in a specific period are consumed to produce the output in the same period of time. However, there may be some time lag between the consumption of input resources and the production of outputs. A few models to handle the concept of the time lag effect have been proposed. This paper suggests a new multi-period input DEA model considering the consistent time lag effects. Consistency of time lag effect means that the time delay for the same input factor or output factor are consistent throughout the periods. It is more realistic than the time lag effect for the same output or input factor can vary over the periods. The suggested model is an output-oriented model in order to adopt the consistent time lag effect. We analyze the results of the suggested model and the existing multi period input model with a sample data set from a long-term national research and development program in Korea. We show that the suggested model may have the better discrimination power than existing model while the ranking of DMUs is not different by two nonparametric tests.

        This study investigated the relative effects of input-based versus output-based activities on the learning of English unaccusative constructions. A total of 73 high school students were randomly assigned into two experimental groups and one control group. Of the two experimental groups, the input-based input enhancement group (IE group) experienced a reading passage with the learning targets visually enhanced. The output-based dictogloss group (DG group) performed the dictogloss task with the identical passage given to IE group. The control group (CG group) did not experience the learning targets at all. Results showed that IE group statistically significantly outperformed CG group both at the immediate and the delayed posttests, while there was no significant difference between IE group and DG group. In terms of the generalizability of the learned knowledge, however, it was DG group that outperformed CG group at the immediate posttest. Again, there was no difference between IE group and DG group. More detailed findings are provided, along with some implications for English classrooms in Korea.

        Wireless sensors are more favorable in measuring structural response compared to conventional sensors in terms of them being easier to use with no issues with cables and them being considerably cheaper. Previous tests have been conducted to analyze the performance of MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) sensor in sinusoidal excitation tests. This paper analyzes the performance of in-built MEMS sensors in devices by comparing with an ICP sensor as the reference. Earthquake input amplitude excitation in shaking table tests was done. Results show that MEMS sensors are more accurate in measuring higher input amplitude measurements which range from 100gal to 250gal than at lower input amplitudes which range from 10gal to 50gal. This confirms the results obtained in previous sinusoidal tests. It was also seen that natural frequency results have lower error values which range from 0% to 3.92% in comparison to the response spectra results. This also confirms that in-built MEMS sensors in mobile devices are good at estimating natural frequency of structures. In addition, it was also seen that earthquake input amplitudes with more frequency contents (Gyeongju) had considerably higher error values than Pohang excitation tests which has less frequency contents.

        The activation energy to create a phase transformation or for the reaction to move to the next stage in the milling process can be calculated from the slop of the DSC plot, obtained at the various heating rates for mechanically activated Al-Ni alloy systems by using Kissinger's equation. The mechanically activated material has been called “the driven material” as it creates new phases or intermetallic compounds of AlNi in Al-Ni alloy systems. The reaction time for phase transformation by milling can be calculated using the activation energy obtained from the above mentioned method and from the real required energy. The real required energy (activation energy) could be calculated by subtracting the loss energy from the total input energy (calculated input energy from electric motor). The loss energy and real required energy divided by the reaction time are considered the “metabolic energy” and “the effective input energy”, respectively. The milling time for phase transformation at other Al-Co alloy systems from the calculated data of Al-Ni systems can be predicted accordingly.

        In the current steel structures of high-rise buildings, high heat input welding techniques are used to improve productivity in the construction industry. Under the high heat input welding, however, the microstructures of the weld metal (WM) and heat-affected zone (HAZ) coarsen, resulting in the deterioration of impact toughness. This study focuses mainly on the effects of fine TiN precipitates dispersed in steel plates and B addition in welding materials on grain refinement of the HAZ microstructure under submerged arc welding (SAW) with a high heat input of 200 kJ/cm. The study reveals that, different from that in conventional steel, the γ grain coarsening is notably retarded in the coarse grain HAZ (CGHAZ) of a newly developed steel with TiN precipitates below 70 nm in size even under the high heat input welding, and the refinement of HAZ microstructure is confirmed to have improved impact toughness. Furthermore, energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and secondary-ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) analyses demonstrate that B is was identified at the interface of TiN in CGHAZ. It is likely that B atoms in the WM are diffused to CGHAZ and are segregated at the outer part of undissolved TiN, which contributes partly to a further grain refinement, and consequently, improved mechanical properties are achieved.

        The annual total phosphorus load caused by public wastewater, nightsoil and livestock manure treatment facilities in Korea has been examined macroscopically. Annual domestic average phosphorus (P) inflows through the income of phosphate rock for the last five years (2012 - 2016) were analyzed as 76,598 tons/year. As of the year 2015, the total loadings of phosphorus attributed to public wastewater treatment facilities, nightsoil treatment facilities and livestock wastewater were estimated as 30,269 tons/year, 1,909 tons/year and 18,138 tons/year, respectively. Considering the amount of phosphorus imports, the annual phosphorus load from wastewater, livestock wastewater and excretions is equivalent to 39.5%, 23.7%, 2.5% and totally 65.7%(39.5% + 23.7% + 2.5%). Therefore, the introduction of phosphorus recovery and recycling processes for the public wastewater and livestock manure treatment facilities has been found to be effective because it could reduce the import amount of phosphate rock by up to 60% or more.

        This study examined how three task activities with receptive (R) reading, cloze (CZ) and receptive-productive (RP) integration differently lead to L2 idiom recall and retention by Korean EFL adult learners when they are enhanced with bolding, L1 glossing and three repetitions. It further looks into what features of the enhanced input tasks influence L2 idiom gains. The theories of input enhancement, receptive and productive task input are the basis for the present study. The results revealed that overall the three tasks contributed to high score of L2 idiom gains in immediate receptive, productive recall and delayed receptive retention, except delayed productive retention. There was no significant difference in idiom recall and retention by the three tasks. The descriptive analysis showed R group performed better on immediate receptive recall, while CZ group led the highest score of immediate productive recall. In terms of retention gap between immediate and delayed tests, the three tasks yielded high percentage of receptive idiom retention. The CZ task yielded the highest percentage of receptive retention but relatively low percentage of productive retention, while the R group retained most memory of productive knowledge. The results suggest some implications for effective L2 idiom teaching materials using input enhanced tasks such as bolding, L1 glossing and repetition.

        평형능력은 보행에 영향을 미치고, 보행속도는 노인의 건강한 척도를 말해주는 기준이 된다. 이 연구의 목적은 체성감각계 지원이 여성 노인의 보행 및 평형감각에 미치는 영향을 보고자 하였다. 평소 지팡이를 사용하지 않고, 규칙적으로 운동을 하지 않으며, 이비인후과적으로 이상이 없는 노인으로 평균 연령이 75세 여성 노인 61명을 실험군 31명과 통제군 30명으로 분류하였다. 종속변인으로는 2.44m왕복걷기, 10m 일반걷기 및 빠르게 걷기, 6분 걷기를 실시하였다. 평형감각 검사로는 뉴로컴사의 EquiTest를 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과 2.44m 왕복걷기와 10m 일반걷기에서는 유의한 차이가 없었으나 10m 빠르게 걷기, 6분걷기에서는 유의한 효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 평형감각에서는 조건 2, 3, 4, 6에서 유의한 효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 체성감각계 지원이 노인 여성들의 보행 및 평형유지 능력에 유의한 효과를 보이는 것으로 나타나 지팡이의 적극적 사용이 권장된다 할 수 있겠다.

        This study investigated the effect of the grinding media of a ball mill under various conditions on the raw material of copper powder during the milling process with a simulation of the discrete element method. Using the simulation of the three-dimensional motion of the grinding media in the stirred ball mill, we researched the grinding mechanism to calculate the force, kinetic energy, and medium velocity of the grinding media. The grinding behavior of the copper powder was investigated by scanning electron microscopy. We found that the particle size increased with an increasing rotation speed and milling time, and the particle morphology of the copper powder became more of a plate type. Nevertheless, the particle morphology slightly depended on the different grinding media of the ball mill. Moreover, the simulation results showed that rotation speed and ball size increased with the force and energy.

        본 논문은 한국의 연구개발투자가 제조업구분에 따른 파급효과들을 산업연관분석을 이용하여 분석하고 있다. 연구 방법은 2010∼2014년 국내 산업연관표 상에서 연구개발투자 부문을 외생화하고, 경제협력개발기구(OECD)의 기술수준 분류표에 입각하여 기술수준별로 제조업을 분류하여 연구개발투자가 미치는 생산유발효과와 부가가치유발효과를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 연구개발투자의 기술수준별 제조업 구분에 따른 생산유발효과는 중고기술과 중저기술에 속한 제조업에서 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 부가가치유발효과 역시 중고기술 제조업에서 높은 것으로 나타났다. 반면 연구개발투자가 가장 많은 고기술제조업에서 생산유발효과와 부가가치유발효과가 상기 2부문보다 낮은 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 결과들은 한국 제조업이 연구개발투자를 통해 기술수준의 제고를 달성하고 이를 산업구조의 고도화로 이어간다는 품질사다리론과 연계되지 않았음을 의미한다. 이러한 분석결과로부터 한국의 연구개발투자가 고기술제조업의 생산유발과 부가가치효과의 증대를 위해 구조조정이 필요하다는 시사점을 얻었다. 본 논문은 산업연관표의 구조적 특성으로 인해 연구개발투자의 시차를 고려하지 못한 한계를 안고 있다.

        월악산 국립공원에서 2009년 1월부터 2013년 12월까지 5년간 낙엽생산량과 낙엽을 통해 임상으로 이입되는 영양염류량을 조사하였다. 잎, 가지, 생식기관, 기타로 분류된 낙엽의 5년간 평균 생산량은 각각 1.940 ±0.21, 0.505 ± 0.15, 0.259 ± 0.09, and 0.737 ± 0.14 t ㏊-1 yr-1 이었으며 낙엽구성원의 비율은 각각 56.4, 14.7, 7.5, 21.4%, 로 잎의 비율이 가장 높았다. 조사기간 동안 생산된 낙엽의 총량은 2009년부터 2013년까지 각각 2.810, 3.796, 3.268, 3.284, 4.045 ton ㏊-1 yr-1 으로, 5년간 평균 3.441 ± 0.49 ton ㏊-1 yr-1의 낙엽이 생산되었다. 조사기간 동안 조사된 낙엽을 통해 입상에 이입되는 질소, 인, 칼륨, 칼슘, 마그네슘의 평균 이입량은 각각 22.73 ± 4.92, 1.05 ± 0.42, 4.26 ± 1.69, 8.48 ± 4.62, 2.42 ± 1.01 ㎏ ㏊-1 yr-1 이었다.

        Pseudo-static approach has been conventionally applied for the design of gravity type quay walls. In this method, seismic coefficient (kh), expressed in terms of acceleration due to gravity, is used to convert the real dynamic behavior to an equivalent pseudo-static inertial force for seismic analysis and design. Therefore, the calculation of an appropriate kh considering frequency characteristics of input earthquake is critical for representing the real dynamic behavior. However, the definitions of kh, which is used for simplified analysis in Korea, focuses only on convenience that is easy to use, and the frequency characteristics of input earthquake are not reflected in the kh definitions. This paper evaluates the influences of the frequency characteristics of input earthquake on kh by initially reviewing the kh definitions in the existing codes of Japan for port structures and then by performing a series of dynamic centrifuge tests on caisson gravity quay walls of different earthquake input motions (Ofunato, Hachinohe). A review of the existing codes and guidelines has shown that the kh values are differently estimated according to the frequency characteristics of input earthquake. On the other hand, based on the centrifuge tests, it was found that the permanent displacements of wall are more induced when long-period-dominant earthquake is applied.

        A robust adaptive control approach is proposed for underactuated surface ship linear path-tracking control system based on the backstepping control method and Lyapunov stability theory. By employing T-S fuzzy system to approximate nonlinear uncertainties of the control system, the proposed scheme is developed by combining “dynamic surface control” (DSC) and “minimal learning parameter” (MLP) techniques. The substantial problems of “explosion of complexity” and “dimension curse” existed in the traditional backstepping technique are circumvented, and it is convenient to implement in applications. In addition, an auxiliary system is developed to deal with the effect of input saturation constraints. The control algorithm avoids the singularity problem of controller and guarantees the stability of the closed-loop system. The tracking error converges to an arbitrarily small neighborhood. Finally, MATLAB simulation results are given from an application case of Dalian Maritime University training ship to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

        신뢰성 해석 및 신뢰성기반 최적설계는 불확실성을 고려한 확률변수를 입력 값으로 요구하며, 확률변수는 모수적․비모수 적 통계모델링 방법을 사용하여 확률분포함수의 형태로 정량화 된다. 신뢰성 해석과 같은 통계적 해석은 입력되는 확률분포 함수의 특성이 결과값에 영향을 미치게 되며, 확률분포함수는 통계모델링 방법에 따라 다른 형태를 가지게 된다. 본 연구에 서는 모수적 통계모델링 방법인 순차적 통계모델링 방법과 비모수적 방법인 커널밀도추정을 사용하여 데이터의 개수에 따 른 통계모델링의 결과를 분석하였다. 또한 수치예제를 통해 두 가지 기법에 따른 신뢰성 해석의 결과를 분석하였고, 데이터 의 개수에 따른 적절한 기법을 제안하였다.

        In this paper, we propose a method for replaying game streaming video using informations of input-key and object states. Up to the present, the played game contents have been just recorded and replayed for game streaming video recording function provided by the game company, this required a large volume of storage device. By the proposed method, it is more efficient for sharing the game informations between the users and game companies, and between the users and other users because it need much less storage device than the present method. And also the game user can handle the additional game informations.

        In this study, we analysed the influence of the flow and performance of the generated micro gas turbine with different rotational speeds. CFD analysis was also performed using commercial code called ANSYS CFX 14.5. It adopted the turbine of radial flow type suitable for power generation for small rotating equipment. The number of blades was designed with each radial turbine 8, vane nozzle 14. The boundary layer flow analysis was widely used to the SST model. Mass flow rate of the turbine was 1.45 kg/s. While the rpm varies from 38,000rpm to 48,000rpm under various boundary conditions, the distributions of Mach number and pressure were numerically analyzed for electric power output, turbine isentropic efficiency. We analyze the inlet pressure, outlet temperature, electric power output, turbine isentropic efficiency. It compared maximum and minimum revolution through CFD analysis. Power output of maximum revolution has been increased 18% more than minimum revolution. Isentropic efficiency of maximum revolution has been increased 16.5% more than minimum revolution. Therefore, maximum power output was 332kW, amaximum isentropic efficiency was 33.2%.

        In this paper, it suggests how to input what it needs under gesture based which is able to put its text 3 times faster than an existing way with voice based by a person who is a visually impaired person with a smart device that is flat display without a physical button. The suggesting way is a text input method based on gesture that after setting the touch display of the smart phone to 8 directions, then, it inputs number, English/Korean tests and special characters with initial location and central point of input texts following drag motion of the users or it controls and processes all applications in the smart devices naturally. It tries to prove efficiency of this method through real test to the visually impaired.
