        Currently, researches are being actively conducted in assessing seismic performance of nuclear facilities in USA and Europe. In particular, applying this technique of assessing seismic performance to design of isolation systems in nuclear power plants is being performed and then ASCE 4 Draft (2013) is being revised accordingly in the United States. In order to satisfy the probabilistic performance objectives described by seismic responses with certain confidence levels (ASCE 43, 2005), the probability distributions of these responses have to be defined. What is the minimum number of input ground-motions to obtain the probability distribution precise enough to represent the unknown actual distribution? Theoretical basis, for how to determine the minimum number of input ground-motions for given a logarithmic standard deviation to approximate the unknown actual median of the log-normal distribution within a range of error at a certain level of confidence, is introduced by Huang et al. (2008). However, the relationship between the level of confidence and the range of error is not stated in the previous study. In this paper, based on careful reviews on the previous work, the relationship between the level of confidence and the range of error is logically and explicitly stated. Furthermore, this relationship is also applied to derive the minimum number of input ground-motions in order to approximate the unknown actual logarithmic standard deviation. Several recommendations are made for determining the minimum number of input ground-motions in probabilistic assessment on seismic performance of facilities in nuclear power plants.

        It is very important for the competitiveness and sustainable management of enterprises that the rapid changes in the managerial environments quickly and accurately are responded. For example, the large-scale investment accompanied by bad alternatives in accordance with misunderstanding of the managerial environments yields the huge cost and effort to modify and improve. In firm management, the quality of products and the productivity are influenced by changes of the endogenous factors yielded in manufacturing process and the exogenous factors as market, etc. These changes include not only changes in 4M (man, machine, material, method) but also those in the market, competitors, and technologies in the process of commodification, i.e., first, such disturbances make dispersion of the process big and odd. By Shewhart chart it can be checked that the process monitored is control-in or out. Business administration executes activities for input stabilization by monitoring changes in 4Ms, comparing with the standards, and taking measures for any abnormality. Second, TRM (technology road map) is to prospect product deployment and technological trend by predicting technologies in the competitive environment as the market, and to suggest the future directions of business. So, TRM must be modified and improved according to DR (design review) stages and changes in mass-production like input material change. Therefore, a role of TRM in input stabilization for reducing cost and man-hour is important. This study purposed to suggest that the environment changes are classified into endogenous factors and exogenous factors in production process, and then, quality and productivity should be stabilized efficiently through connection between TRM and input stabilization, and to prove that it is more effective for the display industry to connect TRM with input stabilization rather than to use TRM separately.

        This study focuses on the formation of input release lots in a semiconductor wafer fabrication facility. After the order-lot pegging process assigns lots in the fab to orders and calculates the required quantity of wafers for each product type to meet customers’ orders, the decisions on the formation of input release lots should be made to minimize the production costs of the release lots. Since the number of lots being processed in the wafer fab directly is related to the productivity of the wafer fab, the input lot formation is crucial process to reduce the production costs as well as to improve the efficiency of the wafer fab. Here, the input lot formation occurs before every shift begins in the semiconductor wafer fab. When input quantities (of wafers) for product types are given from results of the order-lot pegging process, lots to be released into the wafer fab should be formed satisfying the lot size requirements. Here, the production cost of a homogeneous lot of the same type of product is less than that of a heterogeneous lot that will be split into the number of lots according to their product types after passing the branch point during the wafer fabrication process. Also, more production cost occurs if a lot becomes more heterogeneous. We developed a multi-dimensional dynamic programming algorithm for the input lot formation problem and showed how to apply the algorithm to solve the problem optimally with an example problem instance. It is necessary to reduce the number of states at each stage in the DP algorithm for practical use. Also, we can apply the proposed DP algorithm together with lot release rules such as CONWIP and UNIFORM.

        Permanent deformation plays a key role in performance based earthquake resistant design. In order to estimate permanent deformation after earthquake, it is essential to secure reliable response history analysis(RHA) as well as earthquake scenario. This study focuses on permanent deformation of an inverted T-type wall under earthquake. The study is composed of two separate parts. The first one is on the verification of RHA and the second one is on an effect of input earthquake motion. The former is discussed in companion paper and the latter in this paper. In order to investigate the effect of an input earthquake motion on the permanent deformation, three bins of spectral matched real earthquake records with different magnitude, regions, epicentral distance are constructed. Parametric study was performed using the verified RHA through the companion paper for each earthquake records in the bins. The most influential parameter affecting permanent displacement is magnitude. The other parameters describing earthquake motion are not significant enough to increase permanent displacement of the inverted T-type wall except for energy related parameters(AI, CI, SEI).

        The present study aims to compare teacher talk and the course book used as a source of vocabulary input. For the research purpose, part of Yenny Corpus (Kwon, 2013) was used to analyze the vocabulary content of the two input sources. Yenny Corpus consists of a total of 247,398 words collected from EFL classes of four native and five non-native university lecturers. In this study, however, the data of 1,416 words by the native teachers and 1,651 words by the non-native teachers with their course book scripts were used. To analyze the quantity and quality of the vocabulary use (e.g., level, diversity) of the two input sources, some representative word lists such as BNC-COCA 25,000 word family list topped on Range Program (Heatley & Nation, 2002) were applied. The results show that the teachers (including both native and non-native teachers) orally provide 8,090 word types while their course books introduce 4,713. The non-native teachers provide a little more vocabulary input compared with the native teachers’ talk. In addition, the level of the vocabulary provided by the non-native teachers seems more appropriate for their students’ vocabulary ability. Nevertheless, in order to generalize the findings further research is needed in different settings.

        This study analyzed the safety management efficiency through input-oriented BCC Model using DEA by making of Models, in which this study selected the number of staff affiliated with the construction site, number of staff members on the construction team, and number of safety personnel as Input Factor, along with the number of disaster victims and zero-accident accomplished hours as output elements, targeting 40-or-so apartment building construction sites which are being built by 3 domestic construction companies. As a result of efficiency, it was 0.643, the number of efficient DMU was 4. In the aspect of returns to scale, 21 construction sites(52.5%) found to be in a state of increasing returns while 14 construction sites(35%) was in a state of Decreasing returns. The reason for inefficiency was found to lie in technical factors in case of 30 construction sites(75%). Lastly, inefficient DMU is in need of 38.9 % and 66% reduction in site personnel and safety personnel. Based on study results, the 29 construction sites accounting for 72.5% of DMU for safety management efficiency evaluation object turned out to do inefficient safety management that doesn't fit the size of each company.

        본 연구는 지진위험도 산출에서 불확실성을 줄이는 한 방법으로서 지진위험도 계산에 입력되는 파라미터들(a, b값, Mmax, 감쇠식 및 지진지체구조)이 지진위험도 값에 어느 정도로 영향을 미치는지 민감도를 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 지진 전문가 10명이 제시한 입력자료를 사용하였다. 그 결과 a값, Mmax값이 커질수록 PGA값이 증가하였으며, b값은 작아질수록 PGA값이 커졌다. 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 파라메타는 감쇄식, b값 및 a값이며, Mmax와 지진지체구조구 모델의 영향은 상당히 적었다. 따라서 영향이 큰 파라메타에 대해서는 한반도의 지진학적 특성에 적합한 값의 산출이 요구된다.

        This study investigates the effects of syntactic priming on the learning of the ditransitive construction by 49 Korean elementary school English learners. In this study the effects of syntactic priming were scrutinized more in detail by implementing it in three different input frequency conditions: Skewed-first distribution, balanced distribution, and the control. Results indicated that syntactic priming overall had facilitative effects on the oral production performance of the participants. When it comes to the participants’ comprehension of the target construction, however, it was only in the skewed-first distribution that priming had a substantial learning effect. It is concluded that priming combined with the skewed-first type of input distribution would have generalizable and durable learning effects.

        A shared tuned mass damper (STMD) was proposed in previous research for reduction of dynamic responses of the adjacent buildings subjected to earthquake loads. A single STMD can provide similar control performance in comparison with two traditional TMDs. In previous research, a passive damper was used to connect the STMD with adjacent buildings. In this study, a smart magnetorheological (MR) damper was used instead of a passive damper to compose an adaptive smart STMD (ASTMD). Control performance of the ASTMD was investigated by numerical analyses. For this purpose, two 8-story buildings were used as example structures. Multi-input multi-output (MIMO) fuzzy logic controller (FLC) was used to control the command voltages sent to two MR dampers. The MIMO FLC was optimized by a multi-objective genetic algorithm. Numerical analyses showed that the ASTMD can effectively control dynamic responses of adjacent buildings subjected to earthquake excitations in comparison with a passive STMD.

        This paper is to estimate the economic effect of benefits of the R&D and recreational fishing as well as input-output analysis in the Tae-an Trial Sea Farm Project(TTSFP). We use B/C model to indicate the effects of economic valuation. B/C analyses model consists of Benefit Cost Ratio(BCR), Net Present Value(NPV) and Internal Ration of Return(IRR). Using 5.5% discounting rates and the survey data, the sub-models show economically feasible in the all of analysis and analyzed the results as follows. NPV is 42,147 million won, BCR is 3.29 and IRR is 34.30%. This study attempts to apply input-output(I-O) analysis in connecting the economic effect of TTSFP. I-O model was constructed, focusing on three effects; the production-inducing effect, the value-added-inducing effect and employment-inducing effect. There are positive effects on economic value and job creation in Tae-an and Nation.

        For increase the game speed, game systems apply a multi-threading. The popularization of multi-core system accelerates multi-threading also. Multi-threading brings high performance, but this is not ease to apply the game logic. Because many multi-core system share the memory, if two or more threads access the same memory region, they can be conflicted. Multi-threading uses Lock method to prevent the conflict, but Lock method reduces the performance. For increase the performance, programmer can use Lock-Free method. In this case, we found strange phenomenon that Lock-Free queue operates incorrectly, and this phenomenon has been accelerated by number of threads. In this study, we analyzed the input output of the Lock-Free Queue in multi-core system.

        처분시설의 개발과정에서 안전성평가 문서관리는 체계적인 품질활동이 수반되어야 하며, 본 논문에서는 중·저준위 방사 성폐기물 처분시설의 건설단계에 보완된 부지특성, 지하수특성, 최종설계내용 및 모니터링 입력데이터를 포함하여 Safety Case를 위한 안전성평가 입력데이터 품질보증체계를 설명하였다. 현장/실험결과데이터, 실제 설계데이터 및 적치계획, 콘 크리트 물성데이터, 지하수, 기상, 지진에 대한 현장 모니터링데이터, 생태계데이터 및 핵종재고량데이터를 입력데이터 결 정원칙에 따라 선별하고 안전성평가에 적용할 수 있는 데이터 관리체계를 확보하였다. 이는 향후 처분시설 안전성평가의 데 이터 불확실성 저감 및 안전성 증진에 기여할 것으로 판단된다.

        PURPOSES : The travel times of expressway buses have been estimated using the travel time data between entrance tollgates and exit tollgates, which are produced by the Toll Collections System (TCS). However, the travel time data from TCS has a few critical problems. For example, the travel time data include the travel times of trucks as well as those of buses. Therefore, the travel time estimation of expressway buses using TCS data may be implicitly and explicitly incorrect. The goal of this study is to improve the accuracy of the expressway bus travel time estimation using DSRC-based travel time by identifying the appropriate analysis period of input data. METHODS : All expressway buses are equipped with the Hi-Pass transponders so that the travel times of only expressway buses can be extracted now using DSRC. Thus, this study analyzed the operational characteristics as well as travel time patterns of the expressway buses operating between Seoul and Dajeon. And then, this study determined the most appropriate analysis period of input data for the expressway bus travel time estimation model in order to improve the accuracy of the model. RESULTS: As a result of feasibility analysis according to the analysis period, overall MAPE values were found to be similar. However, the MAPE values of the cases using similar volume patterns outperformed other cases. CONCLUSIONS: The best input period was that of the case which uses the travel time pattern of the days whose total expressway traffic volumes are similar to that of one day before the day during which the travel times of expressway buses must be estimated.

        본 연구는 기술연관분석으로 단기 상용화를 위한 기술개발과제에 투입된 기술간 융합현황을 분석하였다. 기술연관분석은 산업구조분석의 체계를 기술기획 분야에 적용한 것이다. 본 사례는 기술연관분석을 활용하여 기술과 제품 간 연관도를 중심으로 분석하였으며 분석대상은 중소기업기술정보진흥원의 ‘’12년 중소기업 융ㆍ복합기술개발사업’에 신청한 401개 과제이다. 분석과정은 다음과 같다. 401개 개별과제에 대해서 투입된 기술은 기술로, 개발과제에서 산출을 제품으로 정의하고 이를 투입과 산출의 행렬로 정리하였다. 투입으로 정의한 기술은 국가과학기술표준분류 상의 소분류를 분류하고, 산출로 정의한 제품은 한국표준산업분류 상의 세세분류로 정의하였다. 즉, 기술을 투입으로, 제품을 산출로 정의하여 기술의 파급도를 분석하였으며 이에 기초하여 기술연관도를 작성하였다분석결과, IT융합에서는 임베디드 S/W의 기술파급도가 가장 높았으며, ET융합에서는 금형의 기술파급도가 가장 높았고 BT융합은 기능성 화장품 개발기술의 기술파급도가 가장 높았다. 전체적으로 IT융합에서 기술파급도가 높은 요소기술이 많았으며, ET융합에서 기술파급도가 높은 요소기술이 작았다. 따라서 기술파급도가 높은 요소기술에 대한 투자가 융합을 활성화하는 데 중요하며 전체적으로 IT분야가 요소기술의 투자 효과가 높을 것으로 판단한다.

        As a result of an analysis of a damper system, a solution to a fire damper is developed using the continuity equation of damper control and orthogonal array. The fire damping device is made with a CAE software. Additionally, new H-120 grade fire damper is designed for the optimal offshore structure. This device will soon be tested on an actual offshore structure. An optimized fire temper is finally achieved using an orthogonal array. Using the result of present study will provide an environment friendly fire damper for offshore plants by choosing the optimum fire damper conditions

        구조물의 풍진동 제어에 사용되는 능동질량감쇠기(Active Mass Damper, AMD)는 구조물의 가속도, 속도, 변위 응답을 계측하고 제어알고리즘에 따라 제어력을 산정한 후, 질량체에 연결된 모터 구동를 통해 제어력을 발생시키는 장치로, 핵심 설계기술은 이동 질량체의 질량, 모터용량, 이송거리를 최소화하면서 제어성능을 확보하는 데 있다. 하지만 이동질량을 최소화하는 경우 제어성능을 증가시키기 위해 AMD에 요구되는 가속도가 증가하게 되고, 이에 따라 이송거리가 증가하는 문제점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 AMD의 제어성능은 유지하면서, 질량 및 이송거리를 최소할 수 있는 방안으로 제어력 게인 스케줄링을 위한 가중함수와 등속도 원점보정을 위한 속도입력 함수를 제시하였다. 또한, 구조물 응답에서 제어 대상 신호만을 추출하기 위한 입력필터 설계 방안을 제시하여, 이에 대한 효용성 검증을 위한 해석을 수행한 후, 39층 구조물에 설치한 56ton 용량의 AMD에 적용하여 제어실험을 수행하였다. 실험 결과, 게인 스케줄링 가중함수와 등속도 원점보정 속도입력 함수에 의해 이동질량체의 이송거리를 최소화하면서도, 원점근처에서의 안정적인 거동이 가능함을 확인하였고, 입력 필터를 통해 제어 모드 이외의 신호를 제거함으로써, 목표 제어성능을 만족시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다.

        In this paper, we propose an efficient real-time multi-user input processing algorithm and protocol for supporting a number of different types of user input from various input devices. The main objective of this multi-user input processing algorithm and protocol is to support multiple users to interact simultaneously with the interactive digital content using a variety of user input devices. This protocol is composed of two parts: the input terminal and the server. The input terminals are connected to input devices and the 1:1 value obtained by the selection, calibration, integration, analysis and then transmission to the server to be used for the user input to the contents. The server processes multi-user input information and applies the input processing algorithm to identify the user and then pass input information to the desired application. This paper presents the design and implementation of the multi-user input processing algorithm and protocol. It also describes how to build and execute a multi-user interactive Unity3D application based on this algorithm.

        PURPOSES: Evaluation of input parameters determination procedure for dynamic analysis of aggregates in DEM. METHODS: In this research, the aggregate slump test and angularity test were performed as fundamental laboratory tests to determine input parameters of spherical particles in DEM. The heights spreads, weights of the simple tests were measured and used to calibrate rolling and static friction coefficients of particles. RESULTS : The DEM simulations with calibrated parameters showed good agreement with the laboratory test results for given dynamic condition. CONCLUSIONS: It is concluded that the employed calibration method can be applicable to determine rolling friction coefficient of DEM simulation for given dynamic conditions. However, further research is necessary to connect the result to the behavior of aggregate in packing and mixing process and to refine static friction coefficient.

        BCI is called BMI (brain-machine interface) sometimes. It is the interface which controls things with human consciousness. In this paper, we look into several of the headset protocol, and we proposed unified protocol with medical standard MFER (Medical Waveform Format Encording Rules) through the analysis of the protocol. And to prove the excellence of the proposed protocol as a case study, we demonstrate embedded control car so as to; (1) prevent overlapped investment on new BCI input interface development, and (2) help to create BCI-related functional game easily, (3) realize variety services through the each equipment compatibility.

        In this paper we offered a new UI design for Chinese input method on smart devices during Gameplay. Currently the well-known conventional stroke-based Chinese input method using only five basic stroke types could achieve low leaning curve and small keypad implementation, we made the UI design base on this stroke-based input method compensating the problem that input speed is limited and finally relatively higher the input speed. For experiment we designed and implemented the new UI for input method by Unity3D. Input by pressing or typing keys is replaced by more using sliding. To improve the input speed of the stroke-based method slide direction arrows are used and selected character will be intuitively shown to user in real time as designed. And the Four Tones(四声) in Chinese pronunciation is also been used to improve the input speed for this input method. In addition, to evaluation the new input method UI, we have conducted experiments on smart device comparing with four basic Chinese input methods. Through the numeric values recorded in the evaluation by inputting random 20 Chinese characters and two-letter Chinese words, comparing the input speed, click times, the typo rate shows the advantages of the new UI and proved that the new UI is better than others for using in smart device game.
