이 연구는 이승우 소설 ｢방｣에 나타나는 ‘내적 욕망과 자기발견’으로의 치매 모티프를 분석했다. 이를 확인하기 위해 정의의 관점에서 인물의 죄의식 형성 동기를 살피고, 치매 모티프가 인물이 내적 욕망을 표출하 도록 이끄는 과정을 감정 활성화와 심리적 각성 정도와 연결해 분석했 다. 그러나 이렇게 드러난 내적 욕망은 표면적인 것이며, 인물이 마지막 순간에서야 마주하게 되는 근원적 욕망은 타자에게 자신을 비추는 자기 성찰이 이뤄진 후에야 발견됨을 확인했다. 본 연구의 결과는 한국소설에 서 질병이 알레고리로 다뤄지던 것과 달리 이승우 소설에서 치매가 새로 운 서사적 모티프로 나타나고 있음을 보여줬다. 치매가 상황을 발생시키 는 소재 차원에 머무르는 것이 아니라, 인물의 내면을 드러내고 제3자를 통한 서사적 성취로까지 이어지고 있다는 점에서 의미가 있다.

In ancient times, the beauty and mysterious situation of Xi Shi always won the favor of literary scholars, as one of the most active motif elements in the literary and artistic creation. In the Li dynasty, there was even a battle for hegemony between Wu and Yue. a rewrote novel based on Xi Shi. The reason why the beauty of Xi Shi could strike deep roots, with a permanent charm lies not only in her physical beauty, but also because she was willing to forego personal happiness, to serve the lofty spirit and better quality of the nation. which is in line with the values of the Korean Peninsula based on Confucianism.

이 논문은 자연의 질서 회복이 인간을 지속 가능토록 한다는 생각에서 비롯되었다. 필자가 새로이 발견한 다양한 문학적 가치와 종교적 모티프를 지닌 생태 문학 작품들을 조명해 보았다. 자연에 대한 새로운 관점을 지니고 인간 대 비인간의 심리적이고 실재적인 장벽을 없애기 위해서 우리는 순진무구한 어린이의 눈을 지닐 필요가 있다. 융은 인간의 원형적 ‘자기’의 모습을 ‘식물 모티프’로 설명하였다. 에덴동산의 신화와 어머니 대지의 이미지는 ‘자기’ 실현의 과정에 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 자연의 이미저리와 연관된 필자의 분석은 심각한 상황과 병치하고 있는 시기에 낭만적이거나 반동적인 것은 아니다, 이 연구는 생태 문학을 재발견하고 그것의 실제적인 비전을 재해석함으로써 우리 지구의 파괴를 극복하고자 하는 필자의 의지를 표현한 것이다. 생태 문학의 교훈은 우리들의 생존 의지와 임박한 실존적 위기를 해결하고자 하는 우리의 의지를 북돋울 수 있을 것이다

이 논문은 보컬 표현기법인 멜리스마에 선율 모티브가 어떻게 활용되었는지에 대해 연구하였 다. 연구 곡을 선정하여 모티브로 활용된 멜리스마의 형태, 곡 구성 별 멜리스마의 사용, 모티브가 활용된 멜리스마 분류, 모티브가 활용되지 않은 멜리스마의 형태로 나눠서 분석했다. 연구 곡은 알앤비 발라드 장르의 곡 중 멜리스마의 활용도가 높고 빈번한 사용이 나타나는 곡으로 선택하였으며 싱어송라이터 브라이언 맥나잇(Brian Mcknight)의 정규앨범 9집 《Evolution of a Man》 중 13번째 수록곡인 ‘Another you’를 선정하여 곡 구성별 전체 멜리스마의 음정 형태를 분석했다. 모티브를 활용한 멜리스마의 선율 모티브를 원형의 동형진행, 자유 동형진행으로 나눠서 분석이 이루어졌으며 그 결과 선율 모티브가 활용된 멜리스마의 원형과 동형진행, 자유 동형진행의 반복된 사용이 나타났고 곡의 구성 별로 모티브가 활용된 멜리스마의 빈도수 차이를 보였으며 모티브의 반복 사이에서 모티브를 활용하지 않은 선율의 멜리스마를 사용함으로 상대적으로 대비되어 강조되는 효과를 볼 수 있었다.

한국 현대문학사에서 이상은 초현실주의적 작품 경향을 보이는 난해한 작가이다. 그의 대표작 <날 개>의 ‘나’는 ‘아내’에게 생계를 의존하면서도 아내의 직업과 화폐에 기반한 자본주의 경제체제에 대 해 모른 채 살아간다. 아내의 내객이 아내에게 돈을 주고 가는 행위를 궁금해하던 ‘나’는 아내의 외 출을 틈타 경성의 밤거리를 돌아다닌다. 돈을 하나도 쓰지 않고 아내에게 주면서 손님들이 아내에게 돈을 주고 가는 쾌감을 깨닫기도 한다. 이 글에서는 다섯 차례에 걸친 ‘나’의 외출과 귀가가 지니는 의미를 밝히고자 하였다. ‘나’는 외출을 거듭할수록 자본주의가 진행된 도시의 문명과 화폐 경제 체제에 대해 이해할 뿐 아니라 아내의 직업 이 무엇인지 알아가게 된다. ‘나’는 경제활동을 하지 않고 아내 방의 윗방에 기거하지만 이내 자본주 의 체제의 성의 상품화 문제를 인식한다는 점에서 전근대의 지식인이라 할 수 있다. <날개>는 ‘나’의 외출과 귀가 모티프의 반복을 통해 식민지 체제와 함께 이식된 서구 자본주의 경제체제를 깨닫지만 적응하지 못하고 좌절하는 지식인의 모습을 보여준다.

현전하는 최초의 南戱 『張協壯元』과 明末 馮夢龍의 話本 ‘三言’ 속의 『金玉奴棒打薄情郞』 은 ‘婚變’을 서사한 중국고전서사물 중에서 남편의 배신으로 인한 ‘破鏡’과 아내의 용서로 인 한 ‘重圓’을 이루는 독특한 모티프를 가진 작품이다. ‘파경중원’ 서사에 대한 기존 연구는 ‘파 경’의 원인으로 근세기를 아우르는 科擧문화라는 봉건사회의 한계에서 탐색하고, ‘중원’의 동 인은 禮敎문화의 굴레와 ‘大團圓’을 갈구하는 민족심리로 귀결하고 있다. 본고는 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 하고, 작품 내에서 작동하는 ‘교환과 증여’의 법칙에 입각하여 탐구한다. 그 결과, 이 작품들의 ‘혼인’-‘파경’-‘중원’ 과정에 ‘증여’와 ‘교환’의 법칙이 작동하고 있고, 남희 『張協壯元』은 ‘증여와 교환의 딜레마’에 처해 있음을 밝힌다.

The purpose of this study is to find an expression method for Korean fashion design that can have competitiveness in the global fashion market. For this, fashion specialists at home and abroad were interviewed, focusing on their opinions on the Korean motifs outlined in existing literature studies. First, aesthetic sense and expression characteristics that have appeared in existing studies on Korean art, Korean traditional costume, and Korean fashion were explored. As a result, they were categorized into: Modesty/plainness, freewheelingness, religion/custom, and humor/joke. During this process, Korean design motifs were extracted based on the aesthetic characteristic and expression method of aesthetic sense. According to the opinions on Korean design motifs and Korean fashion design works drawn from the interviews with fashion specialists at home and abroad, Changhomun was the favorite design motif to be utilized in Korean fashion design. The Korean specialists thought that visual design motifs were important, while the overseas specialists had more interest in abstract design motifs, which embody the background and story behind the motif. Regarding the fashion design associated with the Korean design motif, all specialists at home and abroad favored the design using ceramics and wrapping cloth. Regarding the choice of fashion image, Korean specialists chose the design utilizing Hangeul as the most Korean, while the foreign specialists chose designs reflecting the design motifs of Hangeul and Hanbok for women. The Korean specialists chose relatively more Korean images, while the foreign specialists chose more eastern images or other images than Korean images.

Translational control is a strategy for various viruses to manipulate their hosts to suppress any acute antiviral activity. Some cys-motif genes encoded in polydnaviruses or teratocytes act as host translation inhibitory factor (HTIF) to defend the host antiviral activity. A novel cys-motif gene, TSP13, was encoded in the genome of an endoparasitoid wasp, Cotesia plutellae. TSP13 consists of 129 amino acid residues with a predicted molecular weight of 13.987 kDa and pI value at 7.928. Genomic DNA region encoding open reading frame is interrupted with three introns. TSP13 was expressed in Plutella xylostella larvae parasitized by C. plutellae. C. plutellae bracovirus (CpBV) was purified and injected to nonparasitized P. xylostella. In the virus-injected P. xylostella, TSP13 was shown to be expressed by RT-PCR analysis. Thus, TSP13 was turned out to be encoded in the proviral CpBV genome. TSP13 was cloned into a eukaryotic expression vector, which was then used to infect Sf9 cells to transiently express TSP13. The synthesized TSP13 was detected in the culture broth. Purified TSP13 significantly inhibited cellular immune responses. Furthermore, TSP13 entered the target cells and was localized in the cytosol. This study reports a novel cys-motif gene, which is encoded in CpBV genome localized on chromosome(s) of C. plutellae and replicated to be encapsidated in the episomal viral particles during parasitization.

이 연구의 목적은 이승우 소설에 지속적으로 나타나는 탈향 모티프의 양상과 그 내면에 자리한 죄의식의 상관성을 살펴보는 것에 있다. 한국 문단의 중견작 가로 그 위상을 굳건히 하고 있는 이승우는 비교적 초기부터 고향을 서사의 중 심에 둔 창작을 이어오고 있다. 다만 그의 소설에 표상된 고향이 그리움의 대상 이라든가, 회귀의 대상으로 그려지지 않았다는 점에서 특이성을 지닌다. 오히려 고향으로부터 의도적으로 벗어나려는 탈주의 본능, 더 나아가 고향 자체를 부정 하려는 의도적이며 과장된 행위의 표출이 두드러진다는 점에서 여타의 작가들 과 구별된다. 아울러 이토록 고향을 불편하게 인식하면서도 긴 작가 생활 내내 고향에 대해 이야기하기를 멈추지 않고 있다는 점도 관심의 대상이다. 이런 까 닭에 이승우의 문학에 있어서 고향이 갖는 의미를 규명하는 일은 그의 소설을 이해하는 매우 중요한 출발점이 될 것이다. 또한 이승우 소설에서 문제 삼고 있 는 탈향의 이면에는 주인공 개개인의 잠재된 죄의식이 중요하다. 이승우 문학의 원형질이라 해도 무방한 죄의식, 혹은 자책감이 탈향 모티프를 표상하고 있는 그의 작품들에 어떻게 기능하고 있는지를, 그리고 이러한 죄의식이 그의 기독교적 세계관과는 어떻게 연관되어 있는지를 살펴보는 것은 중요하다.

Polydnavirus are well known to interfere with the host endocrine system, causing immune suppression and other physiological disorders. The Cotesia rubculla polydnavirus gene products, CrV1, are known to be a potent immunosuppressive agent. CrV1 protein express within 12 h after viral infection at oviposition during deposition of parasitoid eggs and are mainly secreted in to host hemocyte, where it functions like phagocytosis and cell spreading. This study identified its homolog in CpBV and analyzed its molecular characteristics motif called “coiled-coil. A point mutation of Alanine to Proline of CpBV-CrV1 could lose the coiled-coil motif from in silico assay. The coiled type CpBV-CrV1 could inhibit host cellular immunity, however, interestingly the mutant CpBV-CrV1 lacking in coiled-coil motif completely lost the immunosuppressive activity. This study suggests that the coiled-coil motif is functional to inhibit host cellular immune responses. RNA interference against CrV1 significantly loses the inhibitory activity and thus further supporting the immunosuppressive activity of CrV1. In this study we also have analyzed the localization of CrV1 by transient transfection in HiFive Cell lines by in situ hybridization.

본 연구는 모티프이론을 활용한 창작수업이 무용영재들에게 어떠한 영향을 주었는지 탐색한다. 모티프이론은 무용기록 시스템중 하나로 자세한 움직임의 묘사 없이 움직이는 사람의 의도를 간 단한 마인드 맵 형태로 보여준다. 연구자는 움직임의 개념을 지닌 모티프이론과 이를 안무의 형 식(ABA, AA’ BB’ CC’)에 도입하여 수업참여자들에게 제공했다. 연구수업은 2011년 충청남도에 위 치한 A예술영재교육원 무용영재반에 등록된 초등 여학생 10명을 대상으로 6차시 수업(1-5차시 각 3시간, 6차시(집중수업) 6시간, 총 21시간)으로 진행되었다. 또한 연구자는 수업시간에 산출된 무 보, 저널, 설문지, 그리고 교사 관찰일지 등을 수집 및 분석하였다. 연구결과로는 첫째, 모티프 창 작수업은 다양한 활동들을 통해 무용영재들의 창작에 대한 흥미를 자극할 수 있었고 이는 창의성 을 향상을 위한 중요한 시발점이 되었음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 무용영재들의 저널과 설문지를 분석해 본 결과 자기평가(self-assessment) 측면에서 창의성과 감수성, 그리고 사회성 등 다양한 영 역에서 긍정적인 변화를 가져왔음을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 영재교육 측면에서 모티프 수업은 교사 에게 무용영재의 다양한 측면들 표현력 및 창작능력, 자기동기, 끈기, 사회성, 리더쉽 등을 평가 할 수 있는 기회를 제공하였다. 마지막으로 모티프이론은 무용영재들에게 창의적인 움직임개발의 가능성을 열어주고 창작에 대한 자신감을 심어 줄 수 있다는 점에서 무용영재교육과 공교육 현장 에서도 효과적인 교육방법론이 될 수 있음을 제언하고 있다.

Cry3 toxins from Bacillus thuringiensis are used as biopesticides and the transgenic crops to control of leaf-feeding beetles. Cadherin in insect midgut epithelium is identified as receptor for Cry toxins in several insects and some domains of it synergizes Cry toxicity. Cadherin (DvCad1-CR8-10) fragment of Diabrotica virgifera virgifera enhanced Cry3Bb toxicity to Colorado potato beetle (CPB), Leptinotarsa decemlineata. Single cadherin repeat (CR) fragment of DvCad1-CR8-10, have a strong binding affinity to the active Cry3Bb toxin. The dissociation constant Kd value of CR8, CR9, and CR10 were 4.9 nM, 28.2 nM, and 4.6 nM, respectively. Interestingly, CR8 and CR10 enhanced Cry3Bb toxicity against CPB and Lesser mealworm (LMW), Alphitobius diaperinus, neonates in up to 2-folds. The DvCad1-CR10 peptide is further analyzed by in-frame deletion to determine the active site for Cry3Bb toxin. The active site is narrowed down to a 26 amino acid locating in the N-terminal region of DvCad1-CR10 that either synergized Cry3Bb toxicity on the CPB and LMW neonates in 3-folds or bound to the toxin with high affinity. The extent of Cry3Bb toxin enhancement by the activie site in DvCad1-CR10 may have practical application for control of CPB and LMW.

디지털 기술의 발달과 더불어 이야기하기의 행위 방식이 달라졌다. 그럼에도 불구하고 디지털 콘텐츠로 채택되고 있는 서사가 중세 로망스임에 주목할 필요가 있다. 따라서 본고는 중세 로망스 중 펜제로소 단계에 초점을 맞춰 MMORPG에서 나타난 펜제로소 모티브 활용양상을 분석하고자 한다. 우선 면밀한 분석을 위해 텍스트는 중세 로망스 <캔터베리 이야기>와 모던 로망스에 해당하는 온라인 게임 <월드 오브 워크래프트>로 한정지을 것이며, 이 둘의 서사 구조를 파악한 후 서로 비교해볼 것이다. 그리고 서사 구조의 차이로 인해 발생하게 된 모던 로망스 속 펜제로소 모 티브의 서사적 기능을 규명함으로써 펜제로소 모티브를 차용한 디지털 스토리텔링의 의의 또한 살펴보겠다.

I have made an attempt to read the tower imagery in some of Yeats’s middle and last poems. The tower is a key symbol in his poetry. He purchased a Norman tower in 1917 and moved into it to live in summers from 1919. Since then, it had become an emblem of his profound philosophy in his philosophical poetry. I read both the tower poems and their social and historical backgrounds to understand his works more deeply. I also study the way his tower poems reflect Neoplatonic symbolism and intellectual symbolism. The tower symbolizes the poet's spiritual and historical changes in his life; at one time, the tower was a romantic and stable place for the newlywed Yeatses; at others, it served as a retreat at his critical moments and as a place for philosophical contemplation on life and death; eventually it became the poet himself and the eternal symbol of his art as well.

Antimicrobial peptides represent an essential alternative first line of defense. Naturally occurring molecules associated with the innate immune system in disease-bearing vectors such as mosquito, tick could be the target for searching more potent and effective agents to combat against the pathogens resistant to conventionally used antibiotics. Recently, we explored expression of a defensinlike peptide, longicin from the hard tick Haemaphysalis longicornis. Longicin and one of its synthetic partial analog (P4) displayed antimicrobial/fungicidal/parasiticidal activity and, therefore, proposed to be a chemotherapeutic compounds against tick-borne disease organisms. Structural characterization of antimicrobial peptides is very important to understand the peptide activity. In addition, harmful side effects such as lysis of red blood cells or cytotoxicity towards mammalian host cells commonly associated with antimicrobial peptides as potential therapeutic agent should also be elucidated. In this study, we analyzed some structural features using bioinformatics tool, CD Spectroscopy, and also determined cytolytic activity of P4 peptide. According to the chemicophysical characteristics, the P4 is suggested to be a cationic peptide with hydrophobic and amphipathic character. The predicted secondary structure indicated the existence of β-sheet which was also observed in modelled tertiary structure. CD spectroscopy results also revealed the existence of a β-sheet and changes of helical content in the presence of membrane-mimic condition. These structural observations on P4 suggest that the antimicrobial activity could be due to the well developed β-sheet. In addition, sequence homology search showed that antimicrobial molecule identified in other ticks and in organisms have the P4 analogous domain at their C-terminal, which indicates P4 as a conserved antimicrobial domain. The peptide P4 also showed less cytolytic activity against various cell lines or erythrocytes of various species. The data presented here strongly suggests that the peptide P4 could be developed as future therapeutic agent against tick-borne microorganisms.
