        With the development of industrial technology and science, production and manufacturing facilities have been enhanced and improved, and the importance of the safety of workers has also been regulated and limited by various safety management methods. As a way to secure the safety of the workers from the production facility, the fail-safe and fool-proof methods are now being applied. Any possible insecure behavior and unsafe conditions can be removed by adopting the standards and specifications that are now secure the safety of workers and equipment. This research analyzes EN ISO 13849-1 international and European standards during CE certification. In order to secure acceptable reduced risks, the risk assessment process of ISO 12100 and the processes for reducing its risk are applied. In the current ISO 13849-1 standard, the criteria for the required performance level PLr (Required Performance Level) for the applicable risk and safety functions through the risk assessment are subjective and not subdivided. Therefore, the evaluation criteria are likely to cause judge’s judgement error due to qualitative judgement. This research focuses on evaluation and acceptable performance level setting for the safety circuit of the equipment. We propose an objective and specific evaluation criteria to secure safety, and the proposed evaluation criteria are applied to the case study of the safety circuit for the equipment. In order to secure the safety of the entire safety circuit, the improvement of the MTTFd and DC level related to the SRP/CS (Safety-Related Parts of Control Systems)’ lifetime is required for the future research.

        PURPOSES: The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of the weight values of evaluation items by traffic safety project type. METHODS: In general, a large-scale investment in projects such as the traffic safety project requires economic analyses to be performed in advance. However, there is an argument for considering special characteristics of the traffic safety project. Therefore, this study conducted characteristic analysis of the weight values of evaluation items. The analysis consisted of two steps. The first step was hypothesis verification using analysis of variance (ANOVA). In this process, the authors examined whether the weight of evaluation items is the same regardless of the traffic safety project type. Based on the first step's results, the authors proceeded to the second step. The objective of this step was to analyze how different the weight values are by traffic safety project type using an analytic hierarchy process. RESULTS: According to the ANOVA test results, the benefit to cost ratios have different weight values based on traffic safety project type at the 0.01 significance level. The policy evaluation items, such as the plans connection, resident opinion, and regional equity, also showed the same results except that the result for the related plans connection was statistically significant at the 0.05 level. Based on the first step's result, the AHP analysis in the second step showed that the traffic safety projects for vulnerable users and pedestrians have very low weight values in economic evaluation factors compared with other safety project types. The weight values for vulnerable users and pedestrians were 0.29 and 0.26, respectively, in economic evaluation items. On the other hand, the weight values for other safety project types were around 0.6. Among the policy evaluation items, resident opinion showed a higher weight value than other factors, such as connection and regional equity items. CONCLUSIONS: The social and economic impact of a traffic safety project varies by project type and project characteristics. Although the economic approach is overarching and a reasonable methodology is applied for large-scale projects, it should be noted that the safety issue, especially for transportation of vulnerable uses, requires a non-economical approach. Based on the analysis results, this study suggests that the priority of the projects should be determined by separating them into independent assessment groups depending on their characteristics.

        본 연구는 2012년부터 2016년까지 전남 가막만해역에서 생산되는 패류에 대하여 위생지표세균, 마비성 및 설사성 패류독소를 분석하여 세균학적, 독물학적 안전성을 평가 하고자 하였다. 총 194점의 굴 시료에서 분변계대장균과 대장균을 분석한 결과 모두 230 MPN/100 g을 초과하지 않았다. 굴 수확시기 동안 분석한 분변계대장균의 기하학적 평균치는 19.6 MPN/100 g으로 비수확시기(26.5 MPN/ 100 g) 보다 안정적인 것으로 나타났다. 가막만해역의 독물학적 평가를 위해 굴 77개 시료와 패류독소 지표종인 지중해담치 350개 시료에 대한 분석을 실시하였다. 마비 성패류독소는 4월말부터 6월초 사이에 지중해담치 13개 시료에서 40~46 μg/100 g 범위로 매우 낮게 검출되었으며, 굴 시료에서는 전혀 검출되지 않았다. 설사성패류독소는 총 180개 시료 중 2개 시료에서 검출되었으나, 기준치에 미치지 못하는 것으로 확인되었다. 따라서 가막만해역에서 생산되는 패류의 세균학적 안전성을 평가한 결과, 식품위생법의 패류 위생기준에 적합하였고, EU의 패류생산해역 A등급 기준에 부합하는 것으로 확인되었다. 또한 마비성 및 설사성패류독소는 기준치보다 매우 낮은 수준으로 검 출되어 독물학적 안전성이 확보된 패류생산해역으로 평가 되었다.

        본 논문에서는 실제 공연장을 예제 건물로 하여 공연장에 발생한 진동을 측정한 결과를 바탕으로 공연장 구조물의 안전성에 대해 해석적으로 평가하였다. 수치해석 프로그램은 MIDAS GEN을 사용하였으며, 바닥판은 합성효과를 고려하여 모델링 하였다. 해석결과 진동계측실험을 통해 구한 바닥판 고유진동수와 유사한 결과를 보였다. 또한 군중의 율동에 의한 동적하중을 시간이력해석으로 해석하여 진동계측 실험과 유사한 수준의 바닥판 가속도 응답을 확인하였다. 이 모델을 사용하여 예제 공연장의 최대관람인원인 400명의 집단율동 시 발생하는 상황에 대하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 기둥과 보의 가해지는 외력은 설계 내력을 하회하여 안전성에 문제없음을 확인하였다. 또한 공연 시 발생하는 수평방향 진동수준은 지진하중의 2% 수준으로 수직수평 모두 안전성에 문제가 없는 것을 확인하였다.

        본 연구는 연안여객선사의 안전관리 운영 효율성을 분석하기 위한 기초연구로 적절한 안전경영지표 평가항목을 설계하고 연안여객선 사를 대상으로 평가항목의 유효성을 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 연안여객운송사업자의 안전관리책임자, 공무원(선박검사관), 여객 선 운항관리자 등으로 구성된 전문가 그룹을 통해 연안여객선사의 자발적 안전관리 활동을 평가하기 위한 5개의 평가항목과 14개의 세부 평가요 인을 선정하고 사전검증 및 테스트를 통해 객관성을 제고하였다. 이 안전경영지표 평가항목을 이용하여 44개 연안여객선사에 대한 자발적 안전 관리 수준을 평가하였다. 그리고 평가항목의 유효성을 검증하기 위하여 안전경영지표 평가항목 결과와 중대해양사고 비율을 비교분석하여 평가 항목의 타당성을 확인하였다. 이를 통해 자발적 안전경영 수준이 높은 업체일수록 중대해양사고가 발생하지 않고 자발적 안전관리에 무관심하거 나 소홀한 업체는 상대적으로 높은 중대해양사고가 발생하고 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이처럼 안전경영지표 평가항목 선정을 통해 연안여객선사 의 안전관리 운영 효율성을 분석하는데 중요한 항목을 객관적인 관점에서 도출하였다. 따라서 향후 안전관리 효율성 분석을 위한 기초자료로 활 용될 수 있을 것이다.

        The pultruded fiber reinforced polymer plastic (PFRP) is one of the most actively studied composite materials for the structural member in construction industries. In domestic design process, the PFRP member is designed as an isotropic material having only longitudinal material properties for simplicity, because it is too complex to consider orthotrophy of PFRP perfectly. In this study, three cases of buckling analysis of PFRP plate is conducted theoretically and numerically. First, the PFRP plate is considered as an orthotropic material. Second, the PFRP plate is considered as an isotropic plate having only longitudinal material properties. Third, the PFRP plate is considered as an isotropic plate having geometric mean of longitudinal and transverse material properties. As a result of buckling analysis, a buckling strength of PFRP plate as an isotropic plate having only longitudinal material properties is about 2.21 times larger than that of PFRP plate analyzed as an orthotropic plate. On the other hand, a buckling strength of PFRP plate as an isotropic plate having geometric mean material properties is about 1.19 times larger than that of PFRP plate analyzed as an orthotropic plate. In conclusion, the safety factor of 3 used in domestic design process of PFRP member is no longer applicable due to overestimation of buckling strength of PFRP member which leads to nonconservative design.

        Sewerage age more rapidly than other facilities, leading to the destruction of the pipeline. Therefore, the replacement of old sewer pipes through long-term construction is costly. In order to solve this problem, this study investigated the ferronickel based sewer pipe with improved chemichal resistance and durability from concrete rigidity pipe. ABAQUS was used as the finite element analysis program and the load was calculated by the method given in the sewage facility standard. Therefore, the results of this study can be referenced in the design and construction of sewer pipes.

        Climate change resulted in the growing occurrence frequency of typhoons, and the damage it caused was also increasing. In this study, the soundproofing and windproof walls installed on the domestic road were modeled by using ABAQUS, a commercial finite element analysis program. Correspondingly, steel column, aluminum frame and transparent acrylic plate were modeled. Based on the result from individual part of soundproof wall model, the number of soundproof wall parts for optimal design was determined to be five parts. The design standard of road construction barrier was applied to this optimum model to perform the safety evaluation for strong wind disaster. In the future, it will be possible to improve the guidelines for design of soundproofing walls in Korea by carrying out further experiment to increase the reliability of safety evaluation of soundproofing walls.

        Recently, the damage caused by typhoons and strong winds frequently displayed according to world climate change tends to be increasing. In the case of soundproof / windproof wall installed on the road, frequent occurrence does function for damage due to strong wind. As a result, in this study, strong wind fragility evaluation was performed to predict the degree of damage of strong winds of soundproof / windproof walls. We were conducting research focusing on the destruction mode in which the overall destruction of the sound barrier caused by the destruction of the aluminum frame occurs. Three node bending experiments were conducting for grasping the material properties of a soundproof wall aluminum frame that is currently being constructed on a road. Based on the results of this experiment, the resistance performance of the target structure was calculated, the frame breakage was selected as the limit state, and the wind load acting on the simplified soundproof wall model was measured using the Monte Carlo model model technique to measure.From now on, through the additional study, it will be necessary to proceed with a more accurate evaluation of the safety against strong windsof the soundproof wall structure using the vulnerability evaluation execution and the setting of the limit state.This study is expected to be the basic data of the study on prediction technique of wind - induced damage of soundproofing and windshield walls in the future.
